Today, the Dark Legions of Skullzz has begun deploying the 1st Skullzz Naval Fleet to the North Atlantic, destined for a rendezvous point approximately 100 miles off the coast of Spain. Officials have declined to comment on the reasons for this deployment, although it is the first such deployment in Skullzz history.

SECRET IC to The Empire of Lavenrunz: Chancellor Count Mirbach, I await your deployment of the forces you have pledged to my cause. My forces have already left port for the rendezvous. Remember, keep a low profile on this.

Count Mirbach thanked God for the letter he had tucked in a safe. Basically, after speaking with the Empress, presenting the idea of a large island base of Her own, She had willingly used Her powers as commander in chief and delegated him authority that otherwise he would have had to justify to the Volksraad.
But now...it was a simple matter of sending orders to Admiral Engelhardt, who in turn delegated the four carrier groups and submarine squadron already on exercise, which were, from that abortive mission to Arda, still in fighting trim.
Rear-Admiral Wanda von Keyserling was to be in command.
Carrier Groups Herne, Prove, Admiral Schellenburg, and Ritter von Dorn along with submarine squadron No. 11 were to head north, under as much stealth as they could muster.

Admiral Keyserling, in order to reduce the amount of attention given to the fleet, sent out orders that the task force was to split into its separate carrier groups and make their way in that fashion towards the rendevous point.
When the admiral's own carrier group passed the Heartland, they received a secure transmission, conveying Her Majesty's best wishes, and a promotion to Vice-Admiral.
Keyserling was delighted, in the midst of gloom. She had received another message before departure, from her eldest son, telling her about the birth of her first grandchild. Well, it was no use sighing: the service had to either come first or not at all for one's career to be effective.
For once, the Imperial Fleet was moving out in pleasant seas; apart from a stiff breeze there were no particular hazards.
Two of the frigates had had to detach in order to render assistance to a freighter that had suffered serious engine troubles, but they were careful not to obviously radio for instructions, doing their best to make it appear as though they were doing a patrol of the South Atlantic (which happened anyway) in tandem.
One of the destroyers had had to reduce speed after an oil fire broke out in the engine room; the captain had turned her to Aerigia for repairs.
Apart from that, everything seemed to be going well...

The Lord Reaver, upon hearing of this deployment, has ordered one of his homeland fleets away from Pantera and towards the Straights of Gibraltar, seemingly to ensure unhindered passage for the heavy concentration of Reaver and allied forces and fleets currently stationed in the Mediteranean and Aegean Seas.

Neither he nor the Seastone Council have commented publicly on the matter.

With their service in Iraqstan nearly at an end,elements of the 1st Imperial Marine Expeditionary Force began to re-embark onto their amphibious ships. Admiral de Goethe had received orders to rendevous with Task Force Poiseidon once they were in the Mediterranean.

OOC-I'm assuming future Earth tech (Railguns, SubCarriers, etc) isn't allowed, so I'll go modern.

The catamaran hull of the NESS Auerstadt sliced through the waves, the New Empirian and APTO flags fluttering in the wind. 180 aircraft, VTOLs, and UCAVs sat on it's deck and within it's hulls, as Super Wasp Point Defense Systems and RAMs stood ready for attack. In her fleet was her sister ship, the NESS New Empire, similarly outfitted for conflict. Alongside them were the sleek gray on gray hulls of the 12 Cunningham Class Stealth Destroyers, their camoflauge almost causing them to blend in to the sky. 14 Honor Class Frigates, trimarans decked with row upon row of VLS cells chock full of SLAMs and SM-9, 6 of the larger trimaran built Valor Cruisers, and two titanic, battleship armored and heavily defended Imitora Arsenal ships. This was the 3rd Carrier Battle Force, the largest deployment of New Empire's ships since the Markovian war. They sailed through the North Atlantic, ready for anything.

South, in the seas of Arabia, a column of Transport ships, escorted by VTOL carriers and destroyers, was being pulled together. Their purpose too, was not said, but known.

Imperial Guardsmen forces have been put onto alert after reports of naval fleets were reported in the Arabian seas. The alert applies to all Imperial Guardsmen forces throughout the home Islands and the Island Chains of Prada and Guchi.

As the Volksraad was given its recess, and as Count Mirbach got up to return to the Mediation Summit, he was cornered by Claudia der Waal. She was smiling at him but her eyes were blazing. "Could I talk to you for a moment, Joachim?"
"Certainly, Claudia."
It was not unusual for the Chancellor and the Leader of the Official Opposition to have a chat...he led her to a sitting room.
It never ceased to amaze him how vicious an attractive woman could look. Practically hissing, she leaned towards him. "More adventurism, Mirbach? What the hell is this? What are Lavenrunz' interest in Crete? And why support Skullzz for Heaven's sake? It's led by a dictator with no interests but his own."
"You don't think it would serve the interests of Lavenrunz to acquire a large strategic island base?" he asked, boring his eyes into her.

"That would be an error." he smiled and drew out a copy of his 'carte blanche' from the Empress.
Claudia swiftly read it, and then looked at him. "Joachim...how did you manage to advise Her Majesty to sign this?"
"Because Lavenrunz needs to win big!" he snapped, struggling to keep his voice down. "And She knows it, even if you don't."
Claudia looked at him, calculating. "The Empress could be advised by others."
Mirbach watched her carefully.
"Joachim, I want you to let the compulsory Catholicism Bill to die. If you do that, then I won't oppose this openly."
"The Constitutional Party won't?" he demanded.
Claudia considered. She had to weigh granting more power to the Christian-Nationalists in one way against risking what she thought to be a wild adventure abroad..."No, they won't." she said.
Mirbach said, "Good, I appreciate that, Claudia. They're a mere day away from the Straits of Gibraltar right now...so naturally to halt, to consider would endanger the success of the mission."

Stupid bastards think they can conquer Greece. Ha! With Dayne the Evanstar, Kungshao the Dragon God of War, and my very own Warchief Zander, Greece has all the protection it needs. And even now more rally to Alkeides's aid, and he should be most pleased. Let them come and try their luck, I have full faith in the Lord Archon and his ability to beat back the heathens.

The Dr_Twist Government has Ordered a Complete Lock down of the Bulgarian Empire, Troops in the Empire are being boosted to 8 Million Troops. Massive Amounts of Anti Ship Missiles are being Imported into the Empire.

The Dr_Twist Government has Pledged its Support to AMF if Greece is invaded and hope AMF would do the same in return to the Bulgarian Empire.

If Dreadfire's information is correct, and we have reason to believe it is, many involved in this little coalition will regret their decision to raise their eyes to lands that are blessed by the rule of Pantera's greatest ally.

The Lord Reaver urges all involved to rethink their actions in this matter. A very large number of Reavers are currently stationed in Greece, and should said nation come under attack, he would be most displeased.

Several international news agencies have reported the withdrawal of the Skullzz fleet from North Atlantic waters. This withdrawal comes not long after a similar withdrawal of Lavenrunz forces. Government officials still refuse to confirm or deny any rumors surrounding the reasons for such a large deployment. Among the rumors not commented on was the favorite of the Automagfreek populace, speculating on a possible attack on Greece. Other, slightly less plausible rumors included a planned conquering of Spain, a live ammunition wargame, a rubber ducky recovery mission, and an alien crash landing.

SECRET IC to remaining allied fleets: Seems the battle is over before the first shot has been fired. I would have liked to take Greece for my own, but this is beginning to resemble a suicide attempt more than a reasonable military campaign. I advise everyone to withdraw as well, unless you have reason to stay.
