Good evening, Comrades! Well, election day is finally here and the H.B.C. is going to keep the people informed. In case you've been in a box lately here are the canidates for Primier.
Derik Connolly
Party: Socialist Party
Religion: Catholic
Place of Birth: New Dublin, Home Province
History: The Socialist Party Chairman, has been voted Premier for the past two elections.
Plans: Continue work on the fragile economy, while boosting Halladi defense and education. Social Welfare is also one of his main concerns.
Lee Ivanov
Party: Fascist-Nazi Party
Religion: Protestant
Place of Birth: Moskva, Barrings Province
History: A strong and powerful figure in the Fascist-Nazi Party, he has been trying to overthrow the anti-Nazi policies in the government for some time.
Plans: To bring Hallad to new Economic and Millitaristic heights.
Abdul-Aliyy Musa
Party: Democratic Party
Religion: Muslim
Place of Birth: Umbar, The Haradrim
History: A strong believer in Capitolism and a strong leader who promises change.
Plans: To get Hallad out of its Socialist ways. Bring back it's private sector and improve the economy.

Great, a choice between Socialist Catholic, Nazi Protestant and Moslem Capitalist (this is weird). OK, it's the Catholic even if he is Socialist.

It looks like the voters have been getting to the booths. Already Derik Connolly has taken the lead with 60 percent of the vote. More updates will come soon.

Riots in New Dublin, sparked by the Fascist part have just begun. Derik Connolly states "I am appualed that the Fascist Party would encourage people of all ages to riot. Is ther no sense left in those people?". Policemen have been dispactched to protect the canidates.

Johnathon Harks, H.B.C. Reporter, talks to Fascist protesters.
JH: "Why are you rioting?"
Protester: "Because it's time to get rid of the socialist filth!"
JH: "But the government has done so much to make Hallad what it is today."
Protester: "The government has ruined our economy! The government has allowed jews and gays into high positions! Thoses bastards should stay in thier place!"
JH: "So, your rioting because of ethnic groups in the government?"
Protester: "No-"
JH: "And Lee Ivanov is in a close second in the race. Wouldn't it better to go vote rather than waste your time here?"
Protester: "I guess."
Johnathon Harks on an Interview with Lee Ivanov.
JH: "Lee, Hallad has only been unified after it came under Socialist rule. What makes you think people want a Fascist state here."
LI: "Frankly, I don't think the people know what they want. They want their 'freedom' and 'equality'. But that gets Hallad no where. Under Fascism the state would become something it never could be under Socialism.
JH: "Maybe, but most of the people seem to be voting for the Socialist Party. Do you think that you can still win this?"
LI: "Of course. Eventually everything will become right."
JH: "What do you mean by 'become right'?"
LI: "No comment."
Lee Ivanov refused to say anything more.

Socialist Party in the lead
The Socialist Party has pulled ahead overnight, and is now ahead of Ivanov. Meanwhile Lee Ivanov has asked all of his supports to go out and vote. No comment from Musa.

Parades around the country celebrating this victory. Even though the polls have not closed, they are certain Connolly will stay in the lead.
