MURPHDAWGGIA FEDERAL NEWS SERVICE: AM REPORT

Scott Christianson: This weekend saw another voilent outburst from anti-gay groups over the president's signing of the Gay Marriage Rights Act. This weekend, several widely known predominantely gay areas of cities throughout the country were burned and looted. Meanwhile, in the capitol city of Guinness, protestors continued to clash with police. Sunday was the bloodiest day so far of the massive protests. National Guard troops clashed with demonstrators in Capitol Square, which resulted in 12 deaths. The day ended with the firebombing of a gay danceclub which killed 46 and left nearly one hundred injured. The president responded by calling up more National Guard troops, and it is rumored that he is considering declaring martial law in the city of Guinness. An unidentified demonstrator was quoted as saying that the president's "day of reckoning" is "on its way."

Although we do not support terroism, we do support people fighting for what they believe, especially if it has morals behind it. We offer our support to the "Anti-Gay Terrorists", and ask them to keep fighting for this glorious cause.

"Mr. President," an aide says, "here are the latest telegrams from around the world expressing sorrow for the attack and pledging either support for us or the terrorists."

The president took the letters from his aide. "Send messages back to everyone who vowed support thanking them." The president turned around in his desk chair and looked out the window at protestors who had gathered across the street. "This is crazy. These people aren't even going to be hurt by Gay marriage. The president'is aide opened his mouth to speak, but before he could say anything, a huge explosion erupted on the front lawn of the president's mansion.

"What the hell?" the president asked as alarms erupted all over the compound. Bodyguards ran in and grabbed the back of the president's suit coat. He was nearly propelled out of the room and down the hall as more explosions sounded. After one such explosion, plaster rained down from the ceiling. When the president and his staff were safely secured in the bunker in the basement of the mansion, the bodyguards sighed sighs of relief.

The president sat stunned, his suit and face covered in plaster. "Would someone please tell me what in the world is happening?" He asked.

"Sir," the president's security chief started," what happened was an assassination attempt. Some of those terrorist nuts were firing mortar rounds at the mansion to try to kill you. And they almost succeeded."

"Well, that's it," the president said slamming his fist down on his knee. "I'm not going to pussyfoot around with these nuts anymore." The president turned to his aide,"Get me General Featherston on the phone."

Members of the Cronish AOS have claimed responsibility for the assasination attempt on the president.

The Cronish president would like to set up a meeting with the Murphdawggian president to make sure that our countries mantain peace with each other despite the actions of the AOS.

An independent mercenary group, funded in part by the government of the Holy Empire of Lord Vek and coroporate sponsers is making way for Murphdawggia. They desire to offer there moral support and services to aid the anti-gay groups in their uprising and pillaging against the gay communities of Murphdawggia. You've not even asked the nation in question for permission to assist them in any peace efforts, nor have you engaged in diplomacy... the deployment of naval forces is highly suspect.

As long as all participants do so of their own free will (and of course, as long as they are old enough to consider the full ramifications of their actions) people may have sex with whomever they please. I see no reason for people to take offense at the things people do in the the privacy of their own homes. The people who would choose to control every sexual action and impulse are the same people who would launch wars for the sake of "purity". I do not support the anti-gay terrorist groups. These are people who poke their heads into other peoples business instead of having any of their own. They should spend less time worrying about other people's sex lives and more time having sex themselves. It might relax them a bit.

The Commonwealth ships are there for the sole purpose of detering nations from intervening. The Commonwealth will not intervene, and is mearly trying to let the Murphdawggian people sort out their own problems, without imperialistic currs taking claim to their land.

Actually in regards to "cleansing" a nation of gay oriented people would be on exactly the same level as the one extolled by Adolf Hitler. Hitler favoured exterminating Jews, whereas the nation of Telliria favours exterminating gays. Sad :cry:

Odd, my best indication tell me I do have the reasorces... our trade embargo is pretty much pointless, I'll agree with you that much, it just serves as a further method of voicing my dislike your your foriegn policy and lack of respect for nations you are trying to "protect".

However, as for military resources I would argue the point that I very much do have the resources... the difference is that we are willing to ask for permission first before we deploy a substantial force outside of their nation to stop others from forcing themselves on them...

I still notice you haven't actually contacted the nation in any attempt what so ever to inform them of your intentions, meanwhile what little you have said has been in support to their rebels... which is highly suspect, afterall, your navy is there to protect the peace and the only people waging war are the very people you support.

Everyone in the room came to attention as the president walked into the war room. They all fell back into their seats when President Murphy sat down. He looked across the table at the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs or Staff Gen. Ike Featherston. "Ike, if it's war these terrorist bastards want, then it's war they're going to get! I want a complete list of all nations who are sending assistance to these terrorist groups. After we deal with the problems in our own antion, they're going to get their 'reward' for choosing the wrong side."
"Sir," Gen. Featherston said, "we have The 152 mobile infantry division from Fort Letterman heading for the capitol city as we speak, ETA 3 hours. They're good boys and girls. They can take care of this mess."
The president nodded. "Good. I should have called in the regular Army as soon as this crap started up. Maybe then it wouldn't have gotten so out of hand." The president then turned to Gen Cassie Lovell, head of Murphdawggian Civil Defense. "How go the problems in the cities?"

"Well, sir," Gen Lovell began, " rioting has been quelled in most of the smaller cities in the country, but the trouble in the capitol is still extremely dangerous.. There have been explosions in known gay neighborhoods all night...."

"I declared martial law yesterday. Hasn't that had any effect?"

"Not really, sir. The problem is that these terrorists strike quickly and silently. We don't even know that they're there until they've already struck and our people are scrambling to get control of the situation. The National Guard troops are fighting to gain control of the rioters in the city AND stop the terrorists. It's too much for them. We're stretched too thin. The arrival of the regular army soldiers will go a long way in helpingto quell this problem. Also, many allies are lining up with us and offering aide either in the form of military might or medical assistance. I say we accept what they offer and thank them. It's damned decent of them."

The president then turned to his Chief of Naval Operations, Adm.Tim Finnegan. "What of the Naval situation, Admiral?"

"Sir," Finnigan began,"as was telegramed to us yesterday there is a Seversky fleet heading toward our waters. We've received word that these ships will "observe" and not interfere with with the goings on here in the country. However, as per your orders, we have the aircraft carrier Grapenuts and it's battlegroup heading out to keep an eye on the fleet. We also have our brand new submarine Sunken Fury patroling the waters as well. Although, Sunken Fury is reluctant to engage an enemy since it is our ONLY submarine at this time, it is ready to fire upon any enemy ship that proves to be agressive. Also, Edolia, we learned earlier today, will be sending a fleet of arsenal ships and subs to "watch the 'watchers.'"

The SPARTAN and SOPA forces fly near the border in to a neighboring nation to a secret geurilla camp just outside the border in a noise-reduced helocopter. It is about 0100 hours local (night). Armed with the latest in battlefield technology, including the OICW-SD, EMP jammers, DI3-SD sidearm, extra clips, enhanced vison binoculars (OCC: like the one's in Splinter Cell), some grenades, and the coordinates for an anti-gay camp 30 miles from the border, they slip across up to the border. The Captian motions to the seargents to get down. A border patrol moves past them about 20 yards away. After the patrol is out of sight, the soldiers turn on their thermal vision to detect landmines, lasers, and other boobytraps. When they came up to a security laser "wall," the captain took out the EMP jammer and used it. It allowed for a five minute lapse in electronic security until they were detected. That should give us 2 EB-1C's over Murphdawggia at all times, also ask if we can borrow an air base to deploy 10 OV-23's with full troop complements. That will give us 400 troops in the region to support him, and the ability to supress dissents. Be sure to have the Megafortress II's carry Harpoons, enough to swamp carrier defenses. No one will know they're there if we have support of the the Murphdawggia government."

The TSSP moved in on his target with his sniper scope. While the rest of the group was targeting gays, he and everyone else in TSSP was targeting people of influence. He watched the congressman through his scope, waiting for the perfect time to fire and get out of there. It came when he turned his head for a split second. He fired, making the man fall to the ground in a heap. He crawled backwards and then planted a C4 on the roof and set it for 5 minutes. His escape was already planned. He slid down the rope on the side of the building and then used a grabbling hook to get on the one beside it. Soon he was inside the building, running through the floors trying to find a backdoor. He soon found it and was outta of there, right about as the explosive went off on the roof.

TSSP, in guise as regular rebels, are targeting Supreme Court Judges, Congressmen, Represenitives, and other people who need to be stopped. However after the attacks the the obviously highly trained people seem to dissapear.

I can tie it all in a bow of a story too, making it into a good solid RP. It would be the same thing you've just done, I would be claiming damages on your higher ups, discovering evidence of your invovlement, RPing your guys defences...

They were private citizens, acting in a private capacity, and technically were AWOL from the Kilean military.

But then again, so was the Falcon Brigade during the African crisis...

Clustered on the pier in their dress uniforms, they would have been Tom of Finland's dream come to life. These were men who had served in elite infantry, air assault, or ISD units. however, though he's larger than me, the internationale has a unified military which allows it to develop at a far faster pace than my single nation (our combined population is well over a billion now) we also have several alliances with other regions with similar "end to capitalism" goals

The arrival of the One Hundred Firty-Second Mobile Infantry Division in the capitol city has nearly quelled rioting in the area, however it has not hampered terrorist activity. The arrival of the regular Army division caused anti-gay rioters to break up with very little resistance. Although several soldiers were injured by sporadic gunfire, the city was nearly back to normal by sunrise. Looks like you found a moderately sized terrorist outpost, and, thankfully, have taken them completely by surprise. They fire small arms at Scellian forces, but offer very little resistance.

OOC: Yes, they are your people so you would be the one responcable for roleplaying them, however you can allow people to roleplay your terrorist forces, but they need your permission first.

Personally I would prefer you kept control of them just to make sure they stick to their character and to give you more control over your own RP... the last thing we want is for this RP to be damaged by allowing the situation to become really bad...

Basically put, you control what happens in your nation, providing you are a little realist at the very least.

Inside a second story room in the compound's main building, a man readys a RPG launcher. He aimed out of a gaping whole in the building and fired a split second before the soldiers in the convoy spotted him. The vehicle behind Kelly's exploded, and Kelly's command car was throrn through the air. By the time, the vehicle came to a rest on its left side, the remainder of Kelly's company were firing their roof mounted .50 calliber maching guns at the building.

Buck Kelly lifted his head. Not only had he survived being thrown the air in his vehicle, he remained fairly unscathed. His head hurt like hell, but he wasn't seriously injured. He crawled out of the vehicle through the shattered back widshield and took cover behind the wrecked piece of equipment. He keyed up his headset radio and called to Sgt. David McKenzie.

"Dave, what's the situation?" Kelly didn't dare peek around the fender of the vehicle for fear that his head would be shot off.
"L.T, thank God you made it. These bastards are throwing RPGs at us like nobody's business, " McKenzie called back.
"How many casualties?" Kelly called back.
"At LEAST 10, probably more. Did everyone in your car make it?"

Within minutes several helicopters flew in from the east, making sure to keep their distance from the compound so they wouldn't be targeted by the RPGs. The choppers pointed their noses toward the building and fired off their rockets. The top floor of the building exploded in a ball of fire that threatened to soon engulf the entire building.
Within seconds, men and women began to run out of the compound with their hands above their heads.

1-1-6-05 -formerly known as Tal von Carasi- kept his rifle steady. He had been waiting all day without event... But now, he watched through the rifle's sight as a black car pulled up along the side of the road and four men got out. His eye briefly flicked to the gay bar across the street. As he watched, one of the men reached into the car. 1-1-6-05 squeezed the trigger -almost enough to fire the gun but not quite- and waited for the man's hand to come out. And out it did... It seemed he had forgotten his coat. 1-1-6-05 sighed... Suddenly, a gunshot rang out, the man falling to the sidwalk. Switching to full auto, the Red Palace Guard aimed carefully and fired off a stream of bullets at the window...

<<OOC: Some notes about the Edolian military: We play 2004-2014 tech though we can not use the more advanced stuff (low-orbit, high altitude bombers, SCRAMjets, etc) if you play modern. It would also be good for you to know about Edolian infantry. Though a country of nearly two billion people, we keep a small army -just over a million soldiers. Nevertheless, we have trained these soldiers to a level of perfection unmatched in other militaries and most of them began their training after being selected by military scouts at the age of four. This allows relatively small forces to destroy armies many times their size.

"Get me a press conference at 0900 hours, the public need ot know of this now. It is out of our hands now, I can already see nations much larger then us moving in."

"Citizens of the Armed Republic of Scellia, this morning our satellite network has detected a nuclear explosion several kilotons in strength."
The crowd of reporters turns into a storm of questions and demands, slowly order returns to the room.
"As you all are aware, our security measures prevent such a blatant attack on our soil, but we all need to be concerned over event on the other side of the world. We have excellent reason to believe that the governments of Edolia and possibly Iuthia will be taking military action. While we pride ourselves on our fighting spirit and excellent armed forces we cannot do anything more then we have. Our condolensces are sent to the people of Murphdawggia, and we shall share in their morning."

It seems that you make most of your own stuff but we have several unique items that we would be will to negoitate terms for selling the plans to you. We are now at war with Croniun and if ANY of our men and women see ANY Croniun soldier ANYWHERE in the world, I want them to shoot the soldier on sight! We're not going to be dicked around by these people anymore. Also, I want our soldiers and material ready to deploy by Monday. We can't let this problem fester. We have to move while public opinion is still on our side." Featherston opened his mouth to speak, but Mahann was already addressing Cassie Lovell. "Further, Miss Lovell, I want satalite photos of all known terrorist sites that have been identified on my desk in two hours. At that time, I will order the first phase of airstrikes against them. We're not be going to be using Air National Guard fighter bombers. I want Air Force B52'S out there, and I want to pound those terrorists into the ground!"
Gen. Lovell looked at Mahann through narrow eyes. She had worked hard to get to where she was and prefered to be called "Genera" rather than "Miss." For that reason, when she addressed the president, she probably sounded more antagonistic than she wanted to be. OOC: Sorry for not being on for a while, everyone, but I was celebrating Mardi Gras. Since the president of my country was just assassinated, I guess we can consider my absence a national week of mourning for the death of President Murphy.

IC: "Ready...Aim...Fire!" The seven soldiers shot off their blank rounds into the air. Taps began to play as President Murphy's casket was lowered into the ground near his home of Murphygrad. Several feet away, President Wally Mahann was confering with the head of the Murphdawggian Central Intelligence Agency, Terry Gilmartin.

"Mr. president," Gilmartin was saying, "we have confirmation that the four new sat photos that we pulled down do contain images of rebel training areas."

A smile broke out on the new president's face. "You think we may have Jenkins?"

"I was talking to Featherston earlier. Our bombing campaign is supposed to begin tonight. Would it be possible to coordinate the bombing raid and the assault on the base so that Jenkins and his henchmen don't get word of the bombing raid and tride to go into hiding."

MURPHDAWGGIA FEDERAL NEWS SERVICE: AM REPORT

President Brian Murphy was symbolically laid to rest yesterday following a nearly a week of natinal mourning. His assassination last week shock the world and is said to be the start of the ongoing war in Croniun. Although not gay himself, the president was killed for his signing of the Right to Marriage Act, which gace gays the right to marry in our country. Family and friends of the late president and father of our country are quoted as saying that president Murphy would happy that he died fighting fighting for what he believed in. Since the president was incenerated in the blast that killed him, a casket filled with lead weight was placed in the Capitol Building with a Murphdawggian flag draped over it. Mourners were allowed to file past it for 24 hours. After a short ceremony, the casket was flown to Murphygrad, the president's home town, which was recently renamed in his honor. He was burind in front of his summer home on the Murphy family compound.

"ETA 12 minutes," the crew chief yelled back to the soldiers in 'Chopper One.'"

Within the main compound of the anti-gay rebel force, a nervous Dylan Waie snuck silently into the power station that fed electricity to the entire camp. It was only by the grace of God that he hadn't been found out yet. He had spent the last week with the rebels planning bombings and attacks. None of the seemed to have any clue that his name wasn't Joe Wheeler. None of them seemed to know that he was an officer in the Murphdawggian CIA. He waited in the darkness of the power station until his cell phone rang once. That was his signal. Rather than answering (he knew that the caller had already hung up), Waite grabbed the C4 from his pockets and placed them on the generators in the room. He set the detonators (nothing more than simple kitchen egg timers) and ran like hell from the building A nearby guard looked at him quizzically, but didn't have time to question his actions. Within seconds, the power station exploded, and the camp went dark.

"Go, go go!" The crew chief was yelling as the commandos from Chopper One slid down the zip line dangling from the chopper and into the camp. Across the compound, the other chopper was dropping off its soldiers as well. When all of the commandos had been extracted, the choppers flew off to move out of range of any hostile fire. Both teams moved through the compound quickly, aquiring and neutralizing targets as they moved. Both teams finally converged on an Adobe style house that was said to be where Jenkins was hiding.

The outdoor gurads were all dead, and Team Two prepared to blow the door of the house in. A small charge was placed near the hinges, and exploded. The door fell as a mamber of Team Two threw a flash/bang grenade inside. After the explosion, Team One charged inside. Through his night vision goggles, Team One leader Sgt. Eric Vincent saw two figures huddled at a table. He squeezed the trigger on his assault rifle and killed both before the enemies could react. Members of Team Two were charging up a narrow flight of staris to secure the second floor of the house as the rest of Team One worked to clear the main floor.
"Sarge," Vincent heard one of his team mambers yell, "you're going to want to come in here."
Vincent followed the voice to a small study. Several soldiers stood around a desk, and one man was on the ground being restrained. When Vincent walked in, a soldier nudged the restrained man with his foot. "Tell the Sarge what you told us, asshole."

"My name is Jim-Bob Jenkins. I'm the rebel leader, and I'm ready to negotiate."

"Mr. President, we got him!" Terry Gilmartin looked excited enough to jump out of his skin. From the head of the table in the war room, President Mahann looked at his CIA director. "We got Jenkins? Were there any friendly casualties?"

"One man was killed during the jump from the chopper, and two were wounded during the firefight. The teams have been extracted, along with Jenkins and our operative who helped to pull the mission off."
"Good. What was the name of the operative on the inside? I want to give him some kind of medal."
"Sorry, Sir," Gilmartin said. "Some stuff even the president doesn't have the clearance to know."

"Ike," the President asked Gen. Featherston, "what about the bombing raids?"

"Sir, The raids have been a success. We don't have all the figures yet, but it looks like the training camps we targeted have been rendered inoperative."

'"Will this finally bring this rebel nonsense to an end? I have our allies asking me every day when we're going to join this damn war on Croniun."

"That depends on what happens when word spreads that Jenkins is in custody. But with most of their training camps and compounds destroyed, I think we won't see any more major flare ups. Nothing that our National Guard won't be able to handle quickly."

"Good. Maybe my bodyguards will finally let me return to our Capital city."

Our condolences to the people of Murphdawggia for their loss. If any help is needed in suppressing the rebels, just ask and we shall send one of our special forces regiments.

President Mahann sat in one of the 18th Century chairs. He was supposed to be going over his speech, but was instead, talking to Terry Gilmartin about the interogation of captured Rebel leader Jim-Bob Jenkins.

"So, he's willing to give out the locations of the other top leaders of his outfit?" the president was asking.

"Yes, Sir. Apparently the man's willing to cooperate with us as long as we don't execute him for his crimes."

"The bastards such a narcicist that he'd rather name names and rot away in prison than be killed for his cause." The president shook his head. "Well, I guess it takes all kinds, Terry. What about these people he named? Is there any chance that will be able to catch them or is he leading us on a wild goose chase to save his neck?"

"We'll get surveilance on the places that he mantioned. There's a chance that some of them have probably moved on to other places, but I think most will be arrested."

"Thank God. Maybe we can return things to normal at least within the country. Now it's time to make those bastards across the ocean pay for what they did to our president."

Just as Mahann said that, an aide walked into the room.

"Mr. President, they're ready for you."

Mahann walked down a short hallway to the chamber of the Lower House of Parliment. The fact that he was addressing a joint session meant that both Congressmenn and Senators had crowded into the room. There was none of the usual applause that accompanies a president when he addresses Parliment. Mahann strode to the podium and looked out at his audience. This was just a formality. The nation was already ready for war. Everyone knew it was coming.

"Ladies and gentlemen of Parliment, members of the National Court of Justice, distinguished guests and my fellow Murphdawggians, I come before you to speak of the infamous crimes committed against our country by the nation of Croniun. Last week, they took it upon themselves to protest President Murphy's domestic policy of Gay marriage rights by murdering the president. I stand before you tonight to implore you to send a message to Croniun and countries like it. This kind of terrorist action WILL NOT stand! When that bomb killed Brian Murphy, an act of war was committed against him, the people of Murphdawggia and anyone who strives to spread civil rights throughout the world. That is why tonight, I ask you to declare that a state of war exists between Croniun and Murphdawggia. I ask you men and women of Parliment, shall a state of war exist between Murphdawggia and Croniun?"

All members of Parliment shouted "Yes," at the top of their lungs. If there WAS a voice shouting 'no', Wally Mahann didn't hear it.

"Very well," Mahann continued. "I leave you, and the people of the world with these parting words: If you wish to be a ally of our country, you will find no greater friend on the international stage. If, however, you choose to be our enemy, you better watch your ass. Thank you, and God bless you."

With a vote of 266-0, the Armed Republic of Murphdawggia had decided to declare war of Croniun.
