3:23PM, Attiscan Standard Time

Hans Korka sat in the bushes. To his right, he heard footsteps. He stopped breathing. As he looked, he saw two soldiers, most likely Kaiserheer Stormtroopers, walking bye. One glanced down, but missed him. He held his Mark 4 Imperial Sniper Rifle, used during the brief, but deadly, Attica-FPC war. By now, it was obsolete, but still extremely deadly in the hands of a master.

Hans was a soldier in the Attican Army during the civil war. Not in the Imperial army, but the Socialist army of the south. He was one of the few that escaped the hangmans noose, by pleading guilty, and serving only 10 years in prison. He was in the Scharfschützekorps, an elite group of men trained in the deadly art of sniping. He himself had killed several Attican top generals, leading to the prolonging of the war by at least 4 years.

Hans hated what the Attican's were doing to the south. After the civil war, stormtroopers and regulars alike had scoured the south, arresting and imprisoning the Kaiser's political enemies, mainly socialists and communists.

He had aquired his rifle from an FPC national who had emigrated to Attica during their civil war, which was still enduring. No communications had ever been received from FPC for at least 50 years, and any dispatchments of troops or aid sent never returned.

To his right, he heard a car coming by, and music started playing.

'The National Anthem', he said to himself.

Once a proud symbol of Attican nationalism, it had been corrupted by the royalist attitude of the Kaiser and his predecessors, thought Hans. As the motorcade began driving by, Hans lifted up the rifle. The people were cheering. Hans, in his mind, beleived they were cheering for him. He aimed the scope on the head of the Kaiser. He then, in an instant, pulled the trigger.

The Kaiser fell back into his seat, blood pouring from his skull. The bullet, armor piercing, had gone thru the bulletproof glass of the car, and had pierced the Kaisers cerebrum. He was killed instantly.

The solders that had only recently passed him began running towards him. People were running around frantically. Hans smiled. He did what had to be done.

As you all know, at 3:23 PM today, a gunmans bullet killed the Kaiser. As of now, we do not know the gunmans name, but the Police say that they do have him in custody. The Reichsgehemdienst, intercepting several transmissions between previously unknown nations, has translated several messages about a possibly invasion of the Attican mainland.

Kaiser William Petinski has been alerted, as has been the Reichswehr. Currently, scramble jets are being prepared for combat status, as are key naval assets, such as Carriers and Dreadnaughts.

On the Attican coastline, several legions of regular infantry are preparing what used to be called the great seawall for a possible invasion.

Anti-aircraft and anti-missile systems are enabled for the first time in 3 years. Aircraft are put on ready on all of the carriers.

OOC: Since I have 10 aircraft in a squadron, that is 700 bombers, and 800 fighters. Also, a single legion of regular infantry has 4500 regular infantry, which is your average highly trained grunt.

3000 F22s of the CFA Air Force move in and attack the bombers. SSNs off the coast fire cruise missles at sights all over the country.

Attican Empire, please note, it is a spy nation, thus the name of the actual nation cannot be given out. But, it was sent to us from Gen. MacAurther, second in command of their Military. That is all the information that is being released at this time. More will come later.

The Guard Army carrirs begin to head toward Irasland. Will take a while to get there. The ships are protected by 30 AA Corvette Ships and 30 Asub Corvettes so dont think about attackin them.

It seems that in your time of sadness, many imperialistic warmongorers rear their ugly little heads. You have the full support of the McLeodian Empire, and I will personally attempt to rally our allies in the Federation of Autonomous City-states to your defense.

The first McLeodian units will arrive in Attica as soon as possible. Until major forces can be assembled, only small numbers will be deployed, but i assure you they will not be easily swept aside.

The roar of turbines and jet engines filled the air, and ground crew rushed around the miles of apron at the RAFs largest airbase in McLeod03. A huge airborne armada was being assembled to assist the Attican people in defending their homeland.

Twenty vast C-5 Galaxy transports stood, equipment filling their holds, and they were flanked by a myriad of smaller V-54 and V-32 transports carrying troops and ground crew. At the other end of the airfield, two full squadrons of EB-1C Vampires, two full squadrons of EB-1G Megafortress, and a full squadron of EB-2 Shades sat, fully armed, and combat ready.

Another area contained some 96 AF-100 escorts, and 48 F-114 fighter-bombers, all carrying spare fuel and minimum air-to-air weapons. Next to them sat the real escorts. A full squadron of what appeared to be B-52 bombers, their bomb bays covered and empty, sat beneath pre-fabricated shelters. The nose of each craft was heavily modified, and betrayed the purpose of each AL-52 airborne missile defence craft.

Aircraft began tearing into the sky, and heading at altitude towards the Attican Empire.

Eight ODC-10s sat on the tarmac, their crews loading the last Atlas boosters into their holds, and fueling the unarmed craft. The only squadron of MB-1C 'Motherships' would provide escorts, their payloads of StealthHawk UCAVs fueled and armed for combat.

Further along, a section of apron rose from the depths of the base, revealing a single MRF-6 Tiberius. The aircrafts shape betrayed its role. As a successor to the SR-71 Blackbird, the Tiberius was designed for high-altitude hypersonic reconnaisance.

Within minutes, the aircraft began lifting off, and joining the relief force bound for the Attican Empire.

OOC: I am only waiting for one other ally, he should be on MSN messenger in a few hours.

Fighters begin flying patrol missions over Attican territory (when I use fighters, I mean AWR-120 unless otherwise stated).

Also, large numbers of troops are being readied for combat in major Attican bases.
