Regime change in Andrehervia (open RP, sort of)

For 17 years, Andrehervians have suffered under the brutal regime of Albert Smithson and the Andrehervian Internal Security service, under the command of Smithson himself. For the 6,057 days he was in power, around 2,140,000 Muslims, 5,300,000 homosexuals, 4,600,000 Communists and 4,800,000 Anarchists were killed by his feared agents. 9,500,000 who were expelled into the harsh climate of the Samsungian mountains died of either starvation, disease, hypothermia or overexhaustion. An estimated 8,400,000 were imprisoned without proper trial or killed in one of 34 'purification camps'. Anyone suspected of defecting and/or transmitting information about any of Smithson's crimes were executed on capture. It is known that there are about 70 or more mass-grave sites in Andrehervia.

Not anymore.

On the 14th February 2004, millions of civilians converged upon Andre City, told of the impending revolution through word of mouth. At 2.40pm, the crowd converged towards the centre of the capital, Andre City, the location of the parliament building.

As the crowd marched on, the army, unable to contain us, fired tear gas and rubber bullets at us to try and stop the advance.

Conscripted soldiers assigned to protecting the main routes to the Parliament building abandoned their positions in droves to join the march for freedom.

After 2 hours of perserverance, we arrived outside the main parliament building. AIS agents, outnumbered 6 to 1, fled the area in all directions. Virtually unprotected, we commenced the final push for liberty.

The Parliament building had been deserted. Abandoned weapons and army uniforms were strewn around the complex, with troops unable to find a safe way out surrendering and joining the cause. The massive building was almost completely captured when we entered Smithson's office. Expecting a firefight, we were astounded to discover the Minister of Defence, the Prime Minister and the Home Secretary unarmed and surrendering, offering a compromise. However, the president himself, Albert Smithson, wasn't in the room. A full sweep of the building was conducted and his disappearance worried us. Our suspicions were confirmed after questioning of the three parliament members revealed that the President were evacuated by helicopter. The other three were ordered to leave, but they were left by their escorts after they refused to follow them to the evac site.

Citizens celebrate the news that Smithson has been deposed

Although the people of Andrehervia are now free of the constraints of evil, they are worried that Smithson could come back to reclaim his power. We are issuing a snapshot of the man:

We implore the governments of the world to keep an eye out for this man, as Andrehervians will never feel truly safe with this man out in the open.

As the chosen president for the new Andrehervia, we thank you all.

---
Signed, Jim Southern
President of Andrehervia

I congratulate your freedom from oppresion. However, if you instituted a socialist state, the overall benefits would be unparalelled.

No one willing to help for the search of a tyrannical despot who killed millions?
