International Counter Terrorist College- OPEN TO ALL!!!
East Islandia

Colonel Tang sat down at the heavy rosewood table on Quang-Ti Island, somewhere in the westerly regions of Islandia. OUtside, a warm tropical breeze floated over the crystal clear seas, and waves washed up against the white sands of the beaches.
Tang sighed. All was quiet at the CTC since the previous detachment of international counter terrorist forces had left before, and since then, only a handful of Islandian Counter terrorism units from paramilitary police forces and the National Police's Special Response Group had been at Quang-Ti and its nearby islands.
A flight of specially modified Ka-60M helicopters flew overhead, quieter than normal helicopters, and dropped off several teams of CT forces, who rushed into the special shooting area for some procedures.
Tang sighed. Training wasnt what it used to be; although the stocky, 5 foot 8 line officer was due for promotion and well into his middle years, he still had no beer gut and was in top physical condition.
NOnetheless, he was still stuck at Training Command for now, and things didnt seem like they would suddenly get exciting.
The phone beeped, and Tang took the secure satellite phone off its cradle and pressed hte red encrypt button.
"This is Colonel Tang, at Quang-ti," he said into the phone. "Training Command's beautiful, resort located in the sprawling area of the western Paradise Sea-"
"Cut the crap Tang," his superior, General Soong, ordered. "ANd listen up; orders from the Command Staff is that you start up Quang-Ti's CTC again; we have more terrorists in the world, and we need the extra training."
Tang frowned. "Or is it that the blockheads in Sumenya Hall just realized, that with the destruction of the Western Shipping Line three days ago that terrorism is still an inherent threat?"
"Whatever hte case, you have your orders, Colonel," General Soong replied. "NOW DO IT!"
He slammed the phone down, leaving Tang wtih a bruised ego and irritated ear.
Tang reached for his cup of lemon tea and sipped quietly, before walking off to find his second in command, an obnoxious Lieutenant from a Marine Special Forces- Zero Team.

I'm looking fora fun, interesting RP here, and since my last attempt failed so miserably, I'm going to try again. I'm hosting another CTC, and while others may already have such attempts out there, note that I WAS THE ORIGINAL, or so I think, since I started mine in August of last year. I'm not going to say my troops are the best in NS or whatever, because that's not true. However, trust me when I say that your troops will get some of the best training in NS when you enter, for i wouldnt settle for anythign less.
Yes, your men and women are required to run several km in the morning with buckets of water slung over their shoulders coolie style, they will be subjected to brutal psychological torment at the hands of the ruthless (if experienced) Colonel Tang, but hard training makes for easy combat.
And I'll give those of you terrorist-plagued nations a backoff and a discount, provided we can reach a deal to the number of troops you send and how long you send them for.
Also, my longtime ally Agrigento and perhaps a few other nations may join us in this endeavor, like last time.
I will post up the curriculum soon. Now, any takers?

We could send someone to discuss how we fight terrorism; it's a little different than what's in the curriculum, and it may be of interest to some nations. If you want more information about it, drop me a TG.
Come on everyone, sign up! Sure, there are a few of these out there, but the last East Islandia/Agrigento/etc. CTC was a good laugh, and this one probably will be too.

Martial Arts training
Note: although Martial arts is not very heavily used in real combat, it is still a good way to condition oneself and a good way to release stress. Martial arts taught at the CTC include Sanshou (combat derivative of kung fu practiced by modern Chinese military), Islandian Sariya (a calm internal martial art that nonetheless is quite effective for conditioning), Jing Quan Dao (another combative used by modern Chinese military forces), and Chung-i-chuan, or Xingyi Chuan, an official martial art taught by the Taiwanese military.
While the cadets in this picture are shown wearing boxing gloves, in most sessions, students wear conforming handwear made of a material that softens on impact, hereby reducing the force of the strike.

Captain Ichimura strode to her classroom in a rush, nearly dropping her briefcase in the proccess. She was late for a lecture to some students concerning threat assessment, and she sighed. She hadnt even had time to button up her shirt properly, with only the button in the middle fastened and her round breasts threatening to burst out of her top.
Keiko sighed. Her husband would pull a fit if he knew about this, and he would go ballistic if he knew about the orders Tang gave to Ichimura Keiko a few days ago. He had instructed her to wear as little as possible while in the lecture hall, as he wanted to see how much his students could absorb while her boobs were popping out. Of course, Keiko had protested just enough to make it seem like she actually cared, but Tang dismissed it all and told her to do it anyway. In actuality, Keiko was a bit of an exhibitionist, and she used to go wild in bars when she was still part of Zero Team X-Four-One, a special forces unit attached to Pacific theater command.
Even though her lower ranking husband always had pictures of her in some scanty outfit (she was quite well preserved, lean and lithe from her active lifestyle) sent to him while the two of them were away on separate assignments (in part to remind him NOT to cheat on her), she thought that Tien would be jealous.
Good. Maybe she could squeeze some love out of him and make him spend less time at the bar or 'teaching' the ladies from 1/35 Reconnaissance Battalion, Eight Marine Guards Assault. Besides, Tien was always talkin about how she looked so much like Aki Kawamura...
Ugh...those bastards. If they werent so highly placed Keiko would throw them to the capital by now. Well, she could do that with her husband, couldnt she? He was, after all, lower ranked than she was...
Tang really was always coming up with new plans to torture his students and staff, Keiko thought. I guess the old goat gets a kick out of seeing me as close to naked as base rules allow.
She took a deep breath and stepped into the lecture hall, smiling at everyone.
"Good morning, people," she said in a cheery voice while doing her best to look like a hopeless and total ditz. "I'm Captain Ichimura, and we're going to be learning today about threat assessment of installations and locations. We will also conduct a course on surveillance over hte next few days, so I hope you're alll going to listen very carefully."
Well that was probably going to be hard, Keiko thought as some of the men began to gape at her. She repressed a laugh and popped ont he viewscreen in the center of the stainless lecture hall and began to speak.

Wakano Beach, Quang-ti Island
Painted in Russian colors but belonging to an Islandian unit that routinely posed as pilots of other nations (they had most major aircraft of the world in a variety of markings), the Ka-60M dropped from the sky towards the deserted city of Wakano, spidersilk ropes hanging off the helicopter with operatives attached to each. The dark helo hovered over a rooftop as the men slid down the ropes, landing quickly and moving out of the way, securing the rooftop. Within seconds, all were on, and the helo moved away, its muffled engines nothing more than a slight thump over the simulated background noise of a city below, replicated through huge black speakers posted around the building.
Tang sat back, enjoying the tropical breeze and sipping lemonade as he watched the men enter and assault the rooms thru video screens. He frowned; for an elite urban warfare unit such as the 146th Assault Brigade, the men had a lot of work to do. Someone nearly tripped in the doorframe, and managed to recover, trading shots with a 'terrorist' int he proccess. Both of them were splattered by Simunitions in critical areas, so both were disqualified immediately.
Tang sighed as the men kept going. they also LISTENED to him, which was a big no-no. He said there were sixteen terrorists, according to estimates of intelligence from their comm traffic.
There were thirty two, and the small detachment of ten soon found themselves calling for backup over hte intercom.
Tang shook his head as he watched one of his instructors set off a bomb that splattered simunitions across the entire shoot house.
MISSION FAILED flashed across each person's goggles, plugged into an school-wide training net to facilitate movement and communication.
Tang stepped intot he bright afternoon sunshine, thunderclouds gathering as his face darkened and he prepared to scold them.
Lieutenant Procter had thought he'd seen it all.
On the battelfields of Higaly City he'd been in charge of the first detachment of Hudecian Marines. Even though he was outnumbered by over 1 000 to 1 his men stood their ground, and the weak-willled ATA backed off.
On the botched landing near Chiba his unit had suffered nearly 50% casualties before they were withdrawn.
Then, near Sendai only a few weeks later, he had commanded one of the first units to break out from the massive defensive structure and head victoriously for Tokyo.
Now, this seasoned veteran was being sent back to school for more training. Although he supposed he should feel special for being handpicked, he felt more annoyed that he was being reassigned away from many of the men he had risked his life for. He shrugged away the thoughts and stared out the window as his plane touched down.
East Islandia
17-02-2004, 04:06
A gaggle of HMMVWs were parked outside the landing strip. As the cadets strode off the plane, they were directed to the vehicle area. Around them, ground crews pulled off their luggage and put them intot he center.
people were asked to claim their luggage, and once that was done, they were asked to listen up.
Colonel Tang stood on an overturned crate, Lt. Tien next to him, Major Amuro to the left, and Sgt. Kim standing to the right. Several Aggies stood around also.
"Greetings, gents, ladies, creatures, and welcome to the CTC," he said. "I am Colonel Tang, and I run this place, a nice little locale int he middle of nowhere.
"For the next few months, this will be hell for you. Never mind what anyone says, DO NOT let ur guard down, and DO NOT believe FULLY in ur intelligence. Cause sometimes ur intelligence (or ur intelligence officer)may look damn good but theres nothign to their assessments.
"However, if you do survive this and come out mentally intact (remember, more mental than anything), congratulate yourself. But you wont. Because I guarantee it. If you prove me wrong, I will let you do whatever the hell you want, but if I'm right, then...you dont want me to be right.
"Whatever you do, be prepared."
As Tang spoke, a group of Marines handed out goggles to each cadet, and simunition pistols rigged to fire the wax-like, nonlethal rounds.
As the cadets entered the HMMVWs and tried to start up the engines, they foundthat only some of them were working, and some of them ahd to walk....
East Islandia
17-02-2004, 04:19
Those who walked, following the signs were shot at by guys in the woods with Simunition rifles. And some parts of the trail would lead to some dead ends, some to nice beaches and lagoons replete with sunbathing beauties from Islandian units, and some to cliffs (strung with netting in case someone fell), and some to the rite place. There were exactly twelve different branches, andtwelve different destinations.
Duty didnt start until two days, so the students had plenty of time to aclimmate themselves to Col. Tang's world. And waht a world it was.
Of course, if u werent in ur room by the end of hte day, they would airdrop food to you and send out ground searchers, who would shoot you for getting lost with wax simunitions rounds. If you could elude the searchers, stay alive, and RTB, then props to you.
if not, you got a red splotch on ur ass.
Humiliating, yes... but just another day at the CTC.

Security Minister Yoshida gave his drink order to the pretty young flight attendant and carried on reading the file on East Islandia. This was his first official overseas visit, and the words of Premier Suun still echoed in his mind...
"Just remember; you're representing Marimaia. We all know you have problems keeping your pants on, but please try."
Colonel Zhongji was awoken from his sleep by a sharp nudge. "Yeah?"
"What was the name of that woman you saw last time?"
Zhongji smirked at Yoshida. "I'm not telling you. Now, what are we up to at this one?"
"Just giving a little speech about how the first one helped us. Plus, if anyone's interested, we can give some info on our way of doing things. Not naming any names of course, since we don't want to give away everything."
A couple of hours later, their plane smoothly landed and the two Marimaians stepped out onto Islandian soil.
Lieutenant Procter had to walk. He had watched as most of the Jeeps failed to start up. A mechanic in the group took a quick look under the hoods of those which didn't and pronounced them a lost cause. Sargeant Ichihara was the mechanic's name. He was from the 3rd Regiment, Procter was from the 1st. In any case he made sure that he walked in a group with the sargeant and about 3 corporals and 7 other privates. Although they had a working Jeep the group stayed together. Procter learned as much as he could about the group they were with.
One corporal, a young woman, he learned was actually a member of the 1st Marine's military intelligence. "Or lack thereof," one other member of the group remarked.
Just as he made the remark a red splatter struck the side of the private's helmet sending him to the ground in shock.
The lieutenant responded quickly barking orders to the men to take cover behind the jeep. A second splatter struck the driver of the Jeep, and he laid his head down against the wheel resigned.
"Cover me!" the sargeant yelled and bolted for the ditch along the side of the road. Diving into it he drew his pistol and looked for a target.
"Well, they did tell us to expect anything right?" Procter remarked to the intelligence corporal ducked behind the Jeep beside him.

Tang smiled broadly as the men stepped off the plane and greeted them enthusiastically. He introduced himself as the head instructor of the CTC, and recognized Zhongji, shaking his hand with gusto.
"So, Z, last time you and ur bunch were here, I remember that you Marimaians happened to have done quite well," Tang said. "In any case, welcome to the Tropical Paradise regional Counter Terrorist College, and let's get you guys squared off and to the quarters."
As he spoke, a furious firefight (with Simunitions) raged to the left of hte men. IN fact, the Airbus who dropped off the Hudecians quickly turned around and roared off the runway, simunitions splattering it in its wake.
Tang sighed. Doubtless General Soong would reprimand them for that blatant vandalism of Air Islandia's craft.
General Tai, the commander of hte Islandian Training Command's Terrorist Readiness Department greeted the men as they walked over to the FUNCTIONING vehicles, which were a group of gray HMMVWs.
******
Major Zhu crouched tall grass, watching as his men splattered the Hudecian students. Quite happily for them, the Hudecians seemed to be taking the strange and capricious nature of Col. Tang well as they responded to his shooters, hidden all throughout the woods surrounding one of the CTC's many airfields, most of which were used to simulate a variety of possible hijacking situations instead of having actual planes.
A Hudecian appeared in the ditch below him and Zhu tooka moment to look before pulling the pin out of a simunitions grenade and dropping the thing into the ditch and running as fast as he could away from the place.
He didnt stay to see the effects of his grenade, and as he moved, simunitions pinged the ground all around him.
To the left, a simunitions round slammed into Sgt. Nang, one of Captain Amuro's operatives from the National Police's Special Response Group. She cursed and wiped off her goggles, running off to the sidelines to join an ever-growing crowd of disqualified shooters.
Capt. Ikegami sighed as he watched the exercise, watchign the rounds ping around the Hudecians and Islandians through his video display.
He wished he could be doing that instead of sitting in a small, stuffy tent; Zhu looked like he was having fun climbing trees and then dropping grenades on people from those positions.

He moved forward from the brush, leaving his ADTACT Ghillies suit behind him in the dense foliage. He would have a hell of a time trying to find it tonight, but such things weren't running across his mind.
Soon he emerged from the dark, shadowy, treeline and prepared to cross the road, a vertible no-man's land, to pursue his wouldbe students. He was not known for his fear, and sprinted across the dusty way without a second thought. Salvatore was aggressive, perhaps a bit too aggressive, there was no doubt that his prey saw his perlious drive, and no doubt that they would be coming for him now. Perhaps, that was what he wanted, them to come to him. Atleast that is what he told himself, as he peppered the area immediately surrounding the stopped vehicles with simmunitions.

En route to Quang-ti
"Kuso," General Soong Mai swore. The pretty Japanese Islandian shook her fist at the captain of the catamaran. "Can't you make this damned thing go faster?"
The captain, an older man who had seen action in a swift detachment during the Japann war, grimaced. NEver mind that he had an Marine puke aboard, the Marine puke was also head of the Training Command, and to make things worse, she was accompanied by several high ranking officers from the General Staff.
All of which were either Marine or Airborne (Islandia has no army, as its a bunch of islands).
And to make things worse, with the advent of Premier Chai Jun in the Islandian government, female dignitaries became the norm; not only were males beginning to become phased out, a new wave of feminism was sweeping over the nation. In fact, the captain nearly had his position taken away by another, younger, brighter female officer. He only kept his rank and loyal crew after he managed to wina series of hard fought battles.
He sighed in relief as they pulled up to the loading dock and dropped off the annoying Command staff.
They promptly boarded a series of gray HMMVWs and made for the west airport, where the Marimaians were.

"We're being wasted here!" Private O'Connoly cried as he fired some shots at the moving target. After it tossed a grenade at the Sargeant in the ditch he became visible and although the target was moving quickly, O'Connoly was a marksman and managed to get at least one hit.
"Role call! Who's still with us?" The lieutenant barked.
"I count 5 of us left!" The intel woman cried back.
"Good! That means all us living folks will all fit in the Jeep now. Firstly, you two start rolling this Jeep along, it was left in neutral so it should be easy. You other two and I will cover fire."
"What about us?" Ichihara cried from the splattered ditch.
"You? You're dead. What about you?" Proctor replied smiling thinly.
The Jeep began rolling along, providing cover for the remaining Hudecians as they made their way away from the ambush site.
1st Sargeant Liu had heard all the firing coming from her unit's right. Her unit had acquired 2 Jeeps so they managed to pile about 12 Hudecians into them.
They, miraculously, were lacking an officer, a rare thing to happen in the Hudecian military. A 1st Sargeant, Sargeant, 5 Corporals, and 5 privates coloured this group.
So, being the highest ranking NCO, he decided to play it safe and sent out a front guard of 3 men. Still driving along, Liu debated whether or not to try to help whomever was being shot up.
OOC: whoops! forgot about your guy Agrigento...
Corporals Nimley and Vclav stayed in the bushes as the Jeep rolled away. It probably wouldn't be any safer any further down for the ones who escaped. They had seen one of the shooters cross to this side of the road. Perhaps now it was the time for the hunter to become the hunted.
The moved away towards the Agrigentian sniper thinking they would catch him by surprise.
Ichihara stood up as the Jeep rolled further away. The other 'dead' Hudecians took his lead and began to stand up too. A total of 5 of them were lying there.
"Kuso!" He swore as he looked at his red-stained uniform. "Do you think we get hazard pay for this?"
"Hey, guess what? That intel chick was wrong again." The private who made the initial comment chuckled again from his prone position on the road.
"How so?"
"She said there was only 5 of them left. But we started out with 12, and I only see 5 dead here. So they must have 7. Kinda proves my point eh?"
Ichihara drew his weapon and shot the private again. "Baka! We're dead here but she's still alive! Kinda disproves your point!"

OOC: Islandia, I should warn you; Yoshida's bisexual, so don't think that the females would be the only ones on his hitlist. However, if none of the men catch his eye, he'll stick with women.
IC:
Yoshida was making small talk when more HHMVWs pulled up. He raised an eyebrow and took off his shades as a female general stepped out. He nudged Zhongji.
"Nice..."
Zhongji turned to whisper to him. "You'd have to be blind not to think that. We're on official business though, so let's try to stay in control."
Yoshida tucked his shades into a pocket and smiled as the general walked up, then took her hand and gently kissed it.
"Greetings, general. I am Kichisaburo Yoshida; this is Colonel Kazuo Zhongji. I have to say, this is my first visit to your country, and I can already see its considerable assets."
He inwardly cringed; not one of his best lines. It was so much easier back home...

oh boy... i hope he likes women better cause that'll just freak out Col. Tang. Well there arent really very many countries at the CTC anyway, so I guess the Minister could take a small vacation after doing what he has to do.
****
General Soong managed a rare smile, bowing slightly. She was not dressed in the standard Marine mottled digital dot blue-gray-green camoflage, but instead wore a light summer dress that conformed nicely to her figure.
"The Ice Queen smileth," Tien muttered in American-accented English. "So she does know how to smile."
Sgt. Kim Suyun, who stood next to him, poked him hard and smiled innocently at the general when she glared at her.
Kim's gaze darted to Zhongji every so often, but for hte most part, remained on a beautiful palm tree in the background.
"Thanks," Tang said, bowing. Evidently the idiot thought the compliment from the Minister was meant for him.
"That was for me, moron," Soong said to Tang, whose face reddened uncontrollably. She smiled again at the Minister. "We are glad that you can make it, but sadly, we only have one or two countries signed up for our course. Perhaps your entourage would like to enjoy a small vacation here after your initial business is done? We have plenty of room and our food is among the best in the Islandias.
"And," she added, "I'm sure you'll find excellent company."
Tang shuddered inwardly. Shameless slut, he thought. Well... or was it? Men had always enjoyed more sexual freedom than women, so maybe it was time for a change. Besides, with Premier Chai Jun in office, perhaps it was time that women got their share-and undoubtedly much more- of rights... Still it was somewhat unsettling. He had heard rumors about large sexual appetites of various Marimaians from a friend whose training unit was stationed in Marimaia.
I hope they dont see Tien's wife, Tang thoughtt, and he chuckled inwardly. What a looker...and he could order her how he wanted to! Even if he did want the best for his students, it was always nice to be in command...hopefully Tien wouldnt find out...

Zhu got hit in the ass, and he felt a sting under his spidersilk fatigues.
"Trung, can you check for me?' he asked the pretty Vietnamese shooter who crouched next to him.
Sgt Van Trung moved slightly and looked. Sure enough, there was a red splotch on Zhu's jungle fatigues.
"Yea you're down," she said, patting his behind. "Go."
He sighed and ambled off to join the walkers.
Zhu hoped they wouldnt shoot at him for his trouble; well, he would lead themt o the frequented beaches, since he knew the island quite well, and see if they could catch a few sunbathing beauties...

Keiko sighed, and whistled in relief when they finished their exercise and the students filed out of the lecture hall.
She ran to her car, a strictly non-regulation silver sedan Tien bought for her a year ago, imported from Agrigento, and slipped in. She checked her watch, and drove down to the west airport.
When she arrived, there were splattered men who were walking in the direction of the compound. Taking them to be Hudecians, she took pity on them and mentally shook her fist at the rascally Tang.
She stopped the car by them. "You need a ride?" she asked in Japanese, remembering that most of the Hudecians spoke that language. To be sure, she repeated the question in English.
Keiko hoped they would get in soon; she had to make that meeting with Tang about thirty minutes later... that should give her enough time to drive the five walking Hudecians (she recognized the glum Major Zhu, who waved to her before continuing to talk with Sgt. Nang.
"Sorry, Zhu," she called to him in Islandian. "No ride for you."
He shrugged and smiled, and waved her off.

"CAPTAIN IKEGAMI!" a harsh voice barked from the direction of the diplomats. Ikegami stiffened, and leapt out of his seat.
"Sir," he said smartly, in his normally quiet tone.
"That's ma'am to you," a female voice answered.
Ikegami turned to see Major Joanne Fang standing behind him, hands on her hips.
"O hey," he said, grinning. "I thought you were still with the Third Lancers' Urban Warfare units in Japan."
"No," she replied. "Tang asked me to come here to lead my mechanized unit on the second month of exercises. You know, the part where he puts you into a warzone and-"
"Yeah," Ikegami said. "As if I could forget. Well, I'm glad to see you, and even if we're going to get the hell beaten out of us by Tang's schedule, at least we're sticking it together."
"Hmm, yea," Joanne replied. Her cell phone beeped, so she said she was going. The tall Chinese winked at him and squeezed his shoulder before she left.
Ikegami sighed and went back to work. Strange that Tang would bring in someone like Joanne; she led an all-female urban warfare company in the Third Lancers' Armored division, and was not really the type who would register for CT training.
Perhaps he wanted to diversify, Ikegami thought. Whatever the case, he pitied the Hudecians, and hoped that they would make it through alive and sane. Nearly half his squad suffered mental breakdowns from the first time they went through, so they all stuck it up, stubbornly refusing to quit, and went again a second time, passing with flying colors that time.
STill, it was good to see the pretty Joanne again, although Ikegami couldnt shake the feeling that next to staying sane and passing, the biggest concern would be the members of the opposite sex. Nonetheless, Tang was not one for effortlessly ordering women around; he had to have a reason for his actions, no matter how dumb they seemed...
The Hudecians smiled and thanked her for the offer. Most of the Hudecians got in without a second thought. Ichihara hesitated though making sure his fatigues were dry before he entered the sedan careful not to stain anything.

Sargeant Liu's group met up with Lieutenant Procter's jeep at yet another fork in the road.
"Alright, you're the the intelligence officer, which way are we supposed to go?" Liu asked staring at the corporal that had came with Procter.
"Well, the sign says that we should go left."
"That's why you are not an officer!" Procter said pointedly. "Last time we followed these signs we got into an ambush. So this time we'll take the other road." He reved his jeep and put it into gear. The Hudecians hopped into the jeeps as they roared down the road.
**********************************************
Not all Hudecians were so lucky.
In the 3rd group that had formed upon leaving the airstrip, there was 2 captain's of equal senority and 3 lieutenants commanding 5 sargeants, 7 corporals and 9 privates. They travelled mostly on foot, when they moved at all.
The two captains were in the middle of a running power struggle, and tended to disagree about most things. This time, they too were at a fork in the road trying to agree on which path to take.
"What foolishness." One private remarked as he rested under a tree beside the road. Most of the sentries were distracted by the argument that was going on so for the most part so he decided to glance over the surroundings himself. Trees, trees, trees, as far as the eye could see. Then a flash, then another.... light was reflecting off something... something like glass...
The private sat upright and bellowed "AMBUSH!" as the snipers opened fire, splattering both of the captains and two of the three lieutenants in an instant.
The private took cover as the snipers continued their methodic picking off of the members of the convoy.

"Well, we're here!" Keiko said happily as they emerged into the clearing and she drove towards the house. "Welcome to your new dwelling...well, I may have to get the housing list, but I'm pretty sure there isnt one."
Keiko pointed to the west. "My ladies and I are assigned there, about a klick downhill, facing the beach. So come down and visit if you want. Classes should start in two days, so you have plenty of time to meet the people, browse the islands, and get used to everything.
"If you guys need anything, I'm Captain Ichimura Keiko, and just call me if you need anything. We all have our contact numbers posted in the kitchen, so dont worry. Just try not to call Col Tang.. he'll probably play a prank on you guys if you do.
"Ja ne," she said, waving after they left. She pulled out of driveway and sped towards her meeting place.

"Ichimura here."
"Keiko, it's me," Tien's voice came over hte phone.
"Oh? Well, would you mind telling me why you stranded those poor Hudecians in the woods like that? They could be stuck out there for quite a while."
"Keiko, you werent supposed to do that," he winced. "Besides, it wasnt my idea."
"Your idea or not, mister, I'm not finished. You've posted f**king life size spreads of me sprawled in underwear during our vacations. Care to explain why?"
"Um... that is...well.."
"Showing me off to your friends, huh?" Keiko asked crossly. "Wait, you dont have any, so you'll juss stick up pix of ur wife and hope to get some attention while you're at it."
"Right," Tien's voice replied, but suddenly it was cold. "Well just get ur ass here on the double. I dont know what the hell you're bitching about, but i hope it doesnt get in the way of work because Tang will skin me alive if I let my personal life affect my performance."
"Who are you to ord-"
The phone went dead with a click. Keiko sighed, and floored the gas. On her way back, she ran into a group of Hudecians in jeeps, so she honked her horn, got out of the car, and handed htem a map of hte Island, before smiling and waving.
She jumped back into her car and sped towards the west airport.

(OOC: If it's okay, I'll assume that they've been given a lift to the diplomatic quarters. Plus Yoshida met Keiko...)
IC:
The two Marimaians settled in quickly, admiring the quarters they'd been given.
"I was hoping for a holiday."
"You're going to stay afterwards? Let me guess; one general for Yoshida, the rest of the population for Marimaia. Anyway, Suun said he wanted to hear from us once we arrived."
Yoshida set up the mobile videophone and tapped in a few digits. After a few seconds, Suun answered.
"Howdy, Kichi! How's it going?"
"Not bad; they're quite friendly over here."
"Met anyone yet? I may have been a bit hard on you earlier; if they reciprocate, then I won't hold it against you."
"Thanks, because there's this general...are you alright Premier?"
"Huh?"
"You look a bit flushed. Where's Tian?"
"Oh..he..he's..um...could you call back later?"
The videophone abruptly terminated after a hand appeared from off-screen and pressed 'disconnect'. Zhongji raised an eyebrow.
"Well that was unexpected."
"If you knock on Suun's office door and it takes a while for him to answer, don't ask questions. Fancy guessing when they'll get hitched? I'm the head of the betting pool on that one."
Zhongji thought up a date and Yoshida entered it into the little book he always carried.
"Right. Who was that one at the airport? With the sedan."
"Keiko Ichimura."
"Yeah...now that's a peach I'd like to.."
Zhongji cleared his throat. "I think she's married to one of the officers who greeted us."
"Okay then, that general. I sensed something there for sure. Anyway, let's get that presentation ready for the students here."
"Domo arigatou!" Proctor cried as the Sedan drove away.
"Well, that was nice of her.... but its probably a trick..." Proctor thought about ripping up the map and leaving it on the side of the road but then thought better. "This map says if we continue up this road another km or so we'll reach the base... so what have we got to loose?"
They drove on for another few minutes and reached the base where they found Sargeant Ichihara waiting for them.
"Welcome to heaven!" Ichihara cried as they drove up. "And we forgive you for leaving us out there too."

It would take the other groups until 7 pm to arrive. Most of them were covered in simunitions but the some of them had managed to escape the ambush and get to the base 'alive'.

Keiko stood in the kitchen of the house that the two of them owned. Situated in the female officer's compound about a klick from the diplomat's and men's residential areas, her dwelling was a quaint, blue walled, tile roofed one story building with two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, dining room, living room, small patio, and of course, an oceanfront view, which nearly every house in the CTC had. To the west was PoonTai Island, separated from the main facilities on Quang-ti by a shallow stretch of water that spanned a kilometer; in fair weather, one could easily walk to the neighboring island, as all one had to do was stay on the clear sand beneath the warm tropical water. Even at high tide, the seas werent deep, however, so nearly all of the instructors' and former students' leisure time was spent lounging about on the clear water and white sandy beach.
Several of her friends were in the living room, watching some shows; most of them were enlisted officers from the intelligence section, and most were clad in tank tops, cutoff shorts, bikinis, wraps, and summer dresses, due to the nice weather that seemed to be the norm throughout most of Islandia. They chatted amongst themselves, marveling at the quality of the television and the satellite connection (Tien had bought both of them on a trip to Japan not too long before) and chittered in jealousy, seeing that they didnt have such sets in their rooms.
Keiko stood in the kitchen putting finishing touches on her sushi. She had learned to make them at age six from her grandfather, a professional chef, and she had found it to be a useful skill to have, especially since her husband consumed prodigious amounts of seafood.
"I cant believe it!" Sgt. Nang tittered as she saw Vicki Zhao's face in Shaolin Soccer. "She's usually so pretty!!"
"I know!" Lt. Guo replied (pilot from the First Special Operations Air Detachment). "But there's this gunner in my unit who looks like her! Exact same face and features!"
"You mean Tech Sgt. Chung?" Capt. Cui asked. He was Guo's flight commander.
"Yeah, so you think so too?" Guo asked.
Keiko sighed and tuned them out as she put the finishing touches on the delicate little rolls and she spread the special sauce over them. They were having tekka maki with hot sauce on the rolls, and she had made about...fifty, with another fifty that had been in the fridge and could stand as backup in case anyone was hungry.
"Hi Keiko," Major Kung said as she walked into the kitchen. Keiko smiled and the two hugged each other.
"Wow, I havent seen you in a while," she said. "Don't tell me you were assigned here!"
"Oh yes," Major Kung replied. "I get to be the chief medical officer on staff...You know what that means."
Keiko smiled mischievously and nodded. "GUYS!"
The two of them let out a very feminine cry of appreciation and gave each other high fives.
"As if we Islandian men arent good enough already?" Tien asked grumpily from the hallway.
All eyes in the house turned to watch him and everyone fell silent. Tien was dressed in combat gear, with some bruises on his face and a slash across his cheek.
"You certainly seem the worst for wear," Cui replied. Everyone nodded.
"What happened?" Major Kung asked.
"I was sparring with Tang," Tien replied. "For an old warhorse, he's pretty damned good."
"He's not that old," Nang said. "Thirty something, forty. Heck, you would know; you're his second in command."
"Yeah, yeah," Tien grumbled as he dropped his gloves and kicked off his spidersilk boots. "Well why dont you marry him if he's so damned sexy?"
"Who said that?!" Nang replied indignantly. The others around her tried to quiet her, but she refused and stood up, advancing towards Tien. "You're one to be talking about all this intrigue!! You have posters of Keiko up in your room with her not wearing anything more than a bikini or her breasts spilling out of her clothes!"
"What's it to you!?" Tien asked, flustered. "She used to be a model for Armed Forces Fusion, you know. Besides, it doesnt piss her off, now-"
"As a matter of fact, it does," Keiko replied as she walked out with a tray of sushi. Kung followed her out with the next tray. "I dont appreciate it, and I sure as hell dont want you to do it, Tien."
The house stood silent.
"WELL WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" he yelled at those gathered. "Dont mind me. I'm going to have a little chat with Keiko and then we'll be right back."
Immeidately, everyone made excuses and darted out of the house, Nang stopping to pick her DVDs, which included Shaolin Soccer and Jan Dara, off the floor. Kung patted Keiko's hand sympathetically and embraced her again before she left, glaring at Tien on her way out. Tien stared back at her.
"I'll leave you Suriyothai," she said, waving the DVD about an epic Thai queen at Keiko. "You didnt see that one yet."
Then she, too was gone, and the house was silent except for the two of them.
"You see what you did?" Keiko said indignantly, her back to Tien. She began to clean up and pushed her trays of sushi back intot he kitchen. "They didnt even eat the food, and you know how much everyone's supposed to love my sushi."
Tien's face flushed. "I'm sorry Kei-"
"I HOPE YOU ARE YOU PIECE OF SH*T!" she shouted at him. "POSTING ALL THESE FUCKING PICTURES ARENT YOU?! AND HAVING THAT OLD GOAT TANG AND THE LECHERS ON HIS STAFF WHACK OFF TO THEM HUH?"
Tien bowed his head in shame and dropped a small parcel that he was carrying. He raised his head to look at her, and to his surprise, noted that tears slid down her face. He reached out a finger to flick away the tears, but she slapped his hand away, angrily.
"Kei, annata, I'm sorry," he said in shock. "I-"
"You what?" she asked angrily.
Tien enveloped her in a hug. "I'm sorry," he whispered. "I'll take those pics off and burn them right away."
She slid out of his embrace and wrapped up the sushi pieces. "I'll be back," she said coldly.
"Where are you going?" Tien asked.
"To bring some food to the students," she replied. "I have upwards of a thousand pieces of sushi here, and seeing that you never eat them, I'm tired of having to throw them out or feed them to the dogs. So I'm going to bring them to the poor students that you and Tang seem to enjoy abusing so very much. Besides, I'm sure they'd like some tekka maki and APPRECIATE the person who made them."
Tien was left speechless as Keiko packaged her sushi and left, her blue dress fluttering inthe wind. At that moment, she looked very beautiful, and very vulnerable also.
Tien sighed. What had he done to deserve her anyway?

Keiko wiped the tears off her face and cleared her throat. She knocked on the Hudecian dorm room and smiled radiantly when they answered the door.
"Sushi anybody?" she asked. "I had some leftovers, so I'm just going around to see if anyone wants."

Sgt. Kim sighed and kicked a nearby box, watching it fly across the sand with a hint of satisfaction. She tugged at her bikini and tightened her wraparound skirt, feeling the cool night breeze caress her skin. The sun was still out, but its rays were fading, and the stillness of night was setting in.
Kim saw a figure walk down the beach and waited until it came into view. She smiled, and saw that it was Capt. Leung, one of her former teachers at the Advanced Infantry Warfare School several years ago.
"Suyun, it's been a while," Leung said in Islandian, giving her a hug. "How have you been?"
"Oh, I've been alrite," she replied, fiddling with her fingers. She had always been nervous around Capt. Leung, since he was a relatively handsome man and young, too. She had a sort of crush on him when she was in his tactics class, and she thought she had gotten over it, but now..
"Want some?" he asked, waving a box of candy in her face. She smiled and took one, and the two of them stood there, looking towards the beautifully built house in the Chinese style that sat over the hill.
"I wonder who lives there," Kim wondered.
"Oh, the Marimaians do," Leung replied. "A minister of theirs and a staff officer, someone by the name of Zhong or something."
"Zhongji?"
"Yes, that's him," he replied. "How do you know?"
"He was in my class at the last CTC," she replied. "That one was loads more fun than this one."
"Well why dont we pay them a visit?" Leung asked.
Kim wasnt so sure. She would have liked to see Zhongji again, but that minister that was staying with him...well, she hoped he would be alrite, and that the rumors werent true. But...but...what if the man had turned him into..one of them?!
The thought was too hard to bear, so she nodded vigorously and the two of them walked up to the door and knocked.
"By the way, how are you and Major Kung?" she asked.
Leung sighed and shrugged. "Not much. We're same as always, but you know. Her a major, me a captain."
He shut up as the two of htem heard footsteps thru the door.

Yoshida opened the door and grinned broadly. "Well hello." He didn't aim his greeting at anyone specifically, just to see if the male visitor would show any interest. When nothing happened, he let them in.
"Zhongji! We have guests!"
Colonel Zhongji stepped out of the lounge; his eyes widened when he recognised the female visitor.
"Sgt. Kim! Wow, it's been a long time!"
As he stepped forward to offer a welcoming hug, Yoshida cleared his throat and addressed the guests. "Excuse us for a moment."
He ushered Zhongji back into the lounge and grinned at him. "So that's her. I can see why you didn't tell me her name; ten yenuans says I get her first."
Zhongji scowled. "I don't bet on that kind of thing. Besides, you've got that general Soong to play with...oh, that's right, you don't."
"Yet. Alright, I won't try anything. Just don't get angry if she comes after me; women find it very hard to resist a gorgeous specimen of manhood."
Zhongji rolled his eyes and ushered the minister out to see the guests again, who looked slightly confused at their behaviour.
"Sorry about that. Listen, the minister and I were about to have dinner; would you two like to join us?"
Yoshida shot Zhongji a look, then walked over and draped an arm round the shoulder of Capt. Leung. "It wouldn't be any fun without you!"
It was Sargeant Ichihara who opened the door. He had just finished washing off all the simuntions that had covered him only a few hours ago.
"Sushi! I love sushi!" Ichihara cried unable to control himself. "Do you know how hard it is to get good sushi in the army?"
"Sushi?" Private O'Connoly said questioningly from his position on the cool wood flooring. "Isn't that raw fish? Eck! I wouldn't touch that."
"It isn't like that... its really good!" Ichihara countered. Lieutenant Proctor glared at O'Connoly, reminding himself silently to train these people in cultural sensitivity when he got the chance.
"Oh, by the way, thanks for the ride here this morning. We all really appreciate it." Ichihara added quickly. "Would you like to come in?"
"Yeah, it would have been pretty dull here without Ichihara. Thanks for the map too, eh?" O'Connoly said as he sat up, trying to redeem himself.

Capt. Leung chuckled nervously but didnt dare remove the strange man from his shoulder. "Um, certainly," he said, grinning helplessly to cover his sudden nervousness. His cellphone beeped and he excused himself.
Kim smiled at Zhongji once the Captain went outside to talk with whoever it was that called. From the sound of his stiff posture and formal tone, it was probably one of his numerous superiors.
She bowed to Yoshida and smiled coyly. "First Sgt. Kim, 41st Recon Platoon, 8th Marine Guards Assault. I met Kazuo at the last Counter Terror College."
She pulled closer to Zhongji and tugged on his sleeve. "So what will we have for dinner?"
Whatever he was about to say, they were interrupted by an outburst from Capt Leung, who began talking furiously in Islandian. After a few seconds, though, he was cut off, and said humbly, "Understood."
Capt. Leung made his way back to the waiting trio and smiled helplessly. "General Soong wishes to know if there is space at your table for one more officer."

Keiko brushed a strand of her hair aside and walked in. Her cleavage was especially prominent through her tight blue dress, but right now, she didnt really care.
"It's alrite," she said, smiling at the Private. "I'm certain we would express distaste at European food too."
She walked in with her boxes and set them on the table. "I have about a thousand pieces of tekka maki, some rolled pickles, salmon rolls, some family recipes, some sashimi, and yellowtail rolls," she said, putting her hands up in annoyance. "I would have made more, but my husband never eats them and I dont always have time to do this."
She smiled at them again; doubtless some of them would be crestfallen when they learned she had a husband...
"Oh what the heck," she said. "It's not like he actually matters." Keiko pulled out a small pack of Tsingtao beer. "there's more in the trunk if you guys need it, but let's have a little fun tonight alrite?"
Sunlight broke the clouds as the SDAL Boeing 747 came in over the East Islandian capital for a landing at the international airport located there. As the jet rolled to a halt in front of the gangway, the doors opened and out stepped a number of fit-looking athletic figures clad in the dress uniforms of South Dalanian military soldiers.
Leading the pack was South Dalania's commanding officer, Overseer General Lee Kang Woo. Having heard of the new East Islandian training efforts, Kang Woo had personally taken an interest, partially to cement ties with South Dalania's East Islandian ally and partially for personal reasons. He'd heard that General Sung Min Lee would be returning to command the training program, something that very much intrigued him.
The men and women under his command had been drawn from several different branches of the South Dalanian military. Unlike the dress uniforms of other nations, the South Dalanian military did not issue different styles to each service; the service patches on the uniform jackets told the casual observer all they needed to know.
After meeting their East Islandian contacts at the jetway, the South Dalanian troopers found themselves in a convoy headed towards the new training camp...

Capt. Leung made his way back to the waiting trio and smiled helplessly. "General Soong wishes to know if there is space at your table for one more officer."
Yoshida beamed like a Cheshire cat. "Of course! The more the merrier! What do you say, Colonel?"
Zhongji nodded. "Indeed." As Yoshida grabbed Capt. Leung again and began a subtle interrogation regarding General Soong, Zhongji turned his attention back to Kim, who seemed to be giving Yoshida a strange look.
"Don't worry about him, I warned him off you. He's actually a nice guy if you can get past the rampant lust for anything that shows the slightest bit of interest. Don't tell him I told you, but there was one time when he tried it on with our Premier."
He smirked at her expression. "The Premier had to stop his bodyguard from dangling Yoshida out of the window. Let's just say he never tried that again. Anyway, we're having bibim bap; it's cooked rice with various vegetables. I hate to admit it, but I've watched a few of our cookery shows."
As Zhongji expertly got dinner ready, Yoshida regaled the guests with stories from his operative days until there was a knock at the door. Knowing who it was, Yoshida quickly admired himself in a nearby mirror before answering.
"General, we're delighted to have you. May I say how stunning you look tonight?"
O'Connolly laughed at the thought of someone disliking European food.
Ichihara stood amazed. "1000 pieces of sushi!" He exclaimed, he turned and yelled into the next room in Japanese. "Hey Pu get your butt in here!"
Corporal Pu yelled back in English. "What?! I'm busy cleaining out my squad in Poker."
"An angel brought us sushi." Ichihara cried back. There was a pause. Then a chair in the other room toppled noisily and Corporal Pu came running into the room. He grabbed a sushi box and took off back into the next room.
"Who says Japanese food can't be fast food?" O'Connolly smirked as he stood up.
Lt. Proctor looked uneasily at the beer for a second and glanced around the room and the other soldiers, who were also staring at the beer a little embarrased.
It was a little known fact that Hudecians rarely drank alcohol. It was not banned in their country, but the government made it policy to discourage its consumption.
Oh heck, thought Proctor. It is a gift, don't be unappreciative.
He stood up, grabbed a can of the beer, and poured the liquid down his throat. He probably turned a little red, it had been a long time since he had drank the stuff. The other soldiers took his cue and tried not to make a big deal about the beer. Mostly they all piled around the sushi and began trying as much of it as they could.
"What did you have in mind though for tonight?" Ichihara asked Keiko curiously. He couldn't help notice Keiko's appearance but he tried not to appear overly interested - after all she did have a husband... but then why was she here?
The South Dalanians had barely been settled in their quarters for the night, when Kang Woo had left his unit, headed out for the spacious ocean view that the deck offered. Opening the door, the noise of camraderie poured out of the room before being silenced by the thick sheet of glass the door was comprised of.
Having changed from his uniform into a white short sleeve shirt and jeans, the general leaned out over the railing, watching the stars twinkle in the ebony darkness of the night sky. Below him, the sounds of waves washing against the cliffs offered a quiet backdrop to the tranquil scene.
The cool wind washed over him and he smiled. The training camp would be hell true, but for now, he wouldnt' wish to be anywhere else.

Dalanian Compound
General Sung knocked on the door to the Dalanians' rooms, pulling out a mirror quickly to check for any deficiencies in her makeup before anyone answered the door. She shoved hte mirror back into her pocket and waited, her foot tapping on the porch.
Next to her, Captain Namie Amuro (ooc yes, i kno, shes a japanese celebrity) stood next to her, features iced over, as usual. Strangely, unlike the rest of her people, growing up in the tropics didnt alter her ice-cold attitudes and features at all nor did it inject any warmth into her expression.
Sung was clad in a halter top and mini dress, hair cut shorter than it normally was.
http://newpaper.asia1.com.sg/mnt/html/newface2002/tammiekee_a.jpg
Amuro was dressed in jeans, a tank top, with her underwear showing. Sung tried to talk to her about it, but she simply glared back, showing her that even a flag officer couldnt talk her out of wearing what she wanted. Captain Amuro was known for partying hard, and was exceedingly wild, having been known for stripping and even giving lapdances.
As the Americans would say, she was a 'naughty girl.'
http://www.amuro.com.hk/images/update/new-crazy.jpe
"So when's your boyfriend coming out?" Amuro asked, twiddling with her hair in boredom.
Sung shushed her with a finger. "He's not my boyfriend!" she exclaimed.
"Oh, pardon me, I suppose you're going to make him your soul sister eh?" she asked sarcastically. She turned to look inside through a window and whistled. "If I can get my hands on some of those men...."
Sung glared at her. "You're representing Islandia here, Captain. I need not say anything about etiquette and RESTRAINT, especially the second one. I know about your record; fifteen major operations over the course of five years wiht the police special unit, with dozens of small incidents in between, only two hostages killed due to bad intel on one op. Before that you served in the Kanario Guards' counterterrorism unit, but you were booted out for wild behavior. THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE, CAPTAIN. If I see you f--king any of the students, giving them lapdances, or riding them like horses, I will not hesitate to kick you out. Is that clear?"
She glared back at Sung. "Clear."
"Clear WHAT?"
"Clear, Ma'am," she replied.
The two women waited in silence.
"So was he a good f--k or not?" she asked.
Sung rolled her eyes. "He's a better PERSON than you'll ever get Captain, unless you stop those lapdances."
Amuro whistled again and twiddled her fingers. This should be...interesting. Amuro liked attention almost as much as she liked killing.

General Soong bowed and smiled. "I am honored to dine with you, Minister, and you, Colonel Zhongji."
"Twice in one day, " Leung muttered. "Who would have thought you could have smiled so much so quickly?"
Soong fixed him wit a stare that could have melted ice.
"Or not," he grinned innocently. Leung's father commanded the Premier's bodyguards, so he didnt really have to worry so much about offending the wrong people.
Soong turned her attention to Yoshida. "May I inquire as to what we're having tonight?" she asked. Soong wore a cutoff shirt and a miniskirt, with a bright blue thong showing prominently.
"Your minister should be careful; once Soong is out, she's out for everything," Kim whispered to Zhongji. "It's been said she can wear someone out pretty quickly, especially in bed."
*******
Keiko shrugged helplessly, then smiled. "Oh, nothing really," she said. "I mean, I saw my husband being less than civil to you boys and girls before, so I'm trying to make it up. Besides, him and Tang still havent played their cards.
"Oh and dont trust their intel concerning the exercises. For starters, they make it a point not to consult me and they usually give you bad statistics and figures, since its just the way that they train our soldiers, you know?" In spite of herself, she burped a little, and blushed in embarrassment.
"Enough with work though," she said. "If you guys want, I brought over some DVDs and VCDs as well, in case you're getting bored already."
Keiko shook her head a bit, as she felt a little dizzy from the beer she drank before driving over here. "But, uh... I hope you dont get drunk so easily, cause we're a wild bunch...especially that captain from the police unit...Amuro was it? Yeah, stay away from her...she's had about twenty administrative marks on her profile..."
Keiko found herself ranting. Hmm...that wasnt good...she normally didnt rant like that. Keiko excused herself, popped a couple of aspirins in, and returned, feeling a little better.
"So if you dont need anything else, I'll be on my way," she said. "On workdays, it's not so bad, and the food is edible. Good luck to you."
She headed for the door.

Zhongji whispered back. "Yoshida can handle her; Marimaian males are the most virile in our region. A lot of young women come to our nation for holiday flings, we're getting quite a reputation."
The two of them watched as Yoshida adjusted his stance to show off his crotch. "Well, general, we're having bibim bap; it's a dish we learned from our Korean ancestors. It's known to promote good health and stamina. Please, this way."
She walked into the dining room ahead of him, while he followed a few steps behind to watch her walk. Zhongji smirked as Yoshida flashed him the victory sign, then escorted Kim and Leung in as well. While Zhongji served the meal Yoshida sat everyone down, ensuring that General Soong sat opposite him and that Kim sat opposite Zhongji, with Leung at the head of the table. Zhongji brought in some wine and took his seat after pouring everyone a glass, then Yoshida proposed a toast.
"To both our beloved Premiers, prosperity, and possibilities. Okay, everyone enjoy!"
"Who's leaving?" 1st Sargeant Liu emerged from the washroom. Seeing Keiko heading for the door, she thrust her hands against her hips and turned to Ichihara, admonishing him. "Alright, Ichihara now what have you done?"
"I didn't do nothing..." Ichihara blurted out in protest.
"When pigs fly!" Liu shot back interrupting him. Turning to Keiko she said "I terribly sorry if my sargeant offended you in any way, he tends to be a pain sometimes." Liu drilled holes through Ichihara with her eyes.
"Actually Liu," Proctor said standing up uneasily, feeling slightly dizzy from the alcohol. "Ichihara did nothing... yet... I think.... but I could be wrong.... I dunno... (long pause)....what was I saying again?"
Everyone stared at Lt. Proctor.
"Are you drunk, Lieutenant?" Liu asked finally.
"No, of course not!" Lt. Proctor bellowed. He tried to take a step forward but stumbled over his own two feet. Standing up straight again he admitted. "Alright, maybe a little. I'll take my leave of you."
He took long deliberate steps as he marched out of the room. Everyone followed him with their eyes. Then they turned their attention to the beer. O'Connoly walked up and sniffed one of the open beer bottles. Turning to Keiko, "did you spike the beer?"
Liu elbowed him harshly. "Alright everyone... tomorrow morning... no one saw anything. Lt. Proctor was feeling tired so he went to sleep early. Understand?"
"Yes First Sargeant" The men echoed. Everyone promptly returned to their sushi and their card games.

"This is turning into a sexfest," Colonel Tang muttered. He had caught wind of some of the happenings, and it didnt help that Captain Amuro wasnt answering her cell. From experience, she only did that when she was doing two things:
either when she was clubbing or partying hard
or when she was on an op.
Seeing that there were no ops, Tang guessed for the worst, and wasnt surprised when Lieutenant Lily Chun, General Sung's aide, told her that the General and Amuro were out, making a 'diplomatic visit' to the Dalanian compound.
"Diplomatic my ass," Tang snarled under his breath.
"Eh?" Chun asked. The pretty Islandian worshipped Tang, especially after his elite rapid reaction unit saved her a few years ago at a shopping mall when she was off-duty.
"Oh, nothing, Lieutenant," he replied. Tang fiddled with his watch for a minute and sighed. "Are you free tonight?"
"Of course!" she said. "Where do you want to go?"
Seeing that she wore a nice dress that didnt show off her figure TOO much (unlike all the other female officers and soldiers) Tang suggested the Zero Club, a nightclub frequented by many Islandians.

Kim laughed silently and pushed her chair closer to Zhongji when no one was looking. Her leg rubbed up against his, hidden by the table, and her hand crept near his crotch.
"I wonder if you can take this," she said, hand wandering down to her thigh area. "I would love to have a taste of your...virility.."
Leung sat glumly. He had no one, and not even Major Kung would return his gestures of affectation. Of course, he still liked her, but with the presence of so many beautiful ladies on base....

"When I saw the crates of Tsingtao beer gone, I figured that Keiko went down over here," he said. "So I decided to bring down some softdrinks in case Keiko didnt know about the beer law."
He lookeda t the open bottles. "Maybe I was too late," he muttered to himself.
"Oh and by the way, I'm Lieutenant Tien Weichi, and I'm going to be your assistant instructor in tactics," he said, waving to everyone. "And I'm Keiko's husband."
He saw that she was sprawled on the floor, so he hoisted her over his shoulder and said good bye to everyone.

Zhongji leant more closely towards Kim. "Then you shall have it. My only concern is Leung; he'll be all alone. Yoshida and Soong will probably be on each other like rabbits soon enough. I'll feel bad if he's the only one here who doesn't get some release."
Yoshida noticed them out of the corner of his eye. Can't let Zhongji have all the fun.....
As he flirted with General Soong, Yoshida slid his hand under the table and began caressing her knee. Or so he thought, until he noticed Leung's uncomfortable expression. He smiled flirtatiously at the captain before switching his hand to the general's knee, and flared his nostrils as he felt what could only be the general's foot working its way up his leg....

"Oh, dont worry about Leung," she said to Zhongji. "He's out for this pretty medical officer in his battalion, by the name of Kung. Leung wont be looking after Yoshida anytime soon, from the look of it.
Kim waved a spoonful of rice in Zhongji's face.
"Open up," she said, and put the spoon into his mouth. Zhongji closed his mouth, chewed, and swallowed, and did the same with Kim.
"Oops!" she said as he spilled some rice into her cleavage. "Um, I-"
She was cut off as he bent down and picked up the rice with his mouth and flicked his tongue at her in the process.
"Oof, that tickles," she protested. It felt good to have someone do that again.
Kim turned to look at Yoshida and then at their empty plate. "Can we get some privacy?" she whispered. "We're done eating, and the only thing I'm hungry for is you."
General Soong smiled and pushed away their plate. "Now, may we get to the real business?" she asked, crossing her legs and squeezing in Yoshida's sensitive areas with her probing hands.
Yoshida nodded, and the two of them made their way upstairs.
Leung sighed. "Thanks for the dinner!" he said, waving to them. "I need to get home before the curfew, so goodbye!"
They all said their goodbyes and he left.
The door clicked open behind him, spilling out the sound of....nothing amazingly. Startled slightly, Kang Woo turned around to face the soldier who stood in the doorway, the room's light spilling out onto the balcony. With an amused look, the general asked, "What's the matter Choi? You look like you've seen a ghost."
"Not a ghost sir....an angel.." stammered the young fit liutenant as he tried hard to get his mouth working correctly. "Two of them if I'm not mistaken."
The general grinned amusingly and turned away from the railing. "Two of them you say Choi?" he said with a hint of amused disbelief in his voice. "Let's just see who..."
A beautiful figure stepped between Kang Woo and the liutenant, forestalling any further conversation between them. With his eyes wide in near-disbelief and his mouth open, Kang Woo gaped as he beheld the slim attractive figure of General Sung Minlee, clad in clothing that was most definitely suited to the tropics.
Remembering his etiquette, the general stepped forward, smiling as he did. "General Sung, it's quite an honor to see you again," he managed to get out, despite the slightly embarassed look covering his face. "Truth be told....." he said, slightly turning his head to try to hide his embarassement. However, upon realizing the futility of the move, he raised his head once more. "....I was really hoping I'd see you again," he said with a smile.
***********
Back in the room, the entrance of Captain Amuro was causing quite a stir among the South Dalanian soldiers. Although South Dalania was not a land plagued by lack of beautiful women, the East Islandians easily gave many South Dalanian women a run for their money. Whether it was the tropical climate or something else, the East Islandians just seemed to be a beautiful nation of people.
"Dammmmn," drooled a tanned fit private clad in a white tshirt and shorts. "She's so hot."
"I'd gladly serve under her any day," whistled another South Dalanian, clad in the uniform of a PFC.
"I dunno about you guys," whispered one of the men still wearing the dress uniform of a corporal. "But I'd rather serve above her than under her, if you know what I mean..." he said with a wink. This got him hit with several pillows and a couple of whacks upside the head from the men clustered around him.
Across the room, Major Kim Kap Hwan smiled to himself as he leafed through one of the complimentary information packets on the island. The tall handsome athletic officer had been selected because of his command ability and because he had recently returned from the Japannese front and thus was one of the few in the group who had seen actual combat. Dedicated and focused, he had a drive that few in the service could match....although he had to admit to himself that Captain Amuro was definitely a looker.
Chuckling softly to himself he turned the page and continued reading...

"Aren't you boys gonna treat me to some drinks?" Capt. Amuro asked, idly pulling on her underwear, which showed prominently above her jeans. She plopped down on Major Kim's lap, careful to avoid tearing his information packet, and stretched.
"Dont tell me you boys havent done it with your women at home," Amuro said when no one seemed to say anything above a whisper. "It's the tropics! We Islandians love to have fun!"
******
General Sung smiled. "It's good to see you too," she said to him. "No need to be embarrassed. We're in the tropics now; everyone's wearing revealing clothes and having a blast, especially before training starts."
She looked around at the other Dalanians. "Capt. Amuro seems to have the better of them," she said, chuckling.
The previously quiet room had turned into somewhat of an uproar since the entrance of Captain Amuro. The South Dalanians had brought along their own private booze stashes (although they hadn't been expecting a party like this) and so they'd broken out the drinks. Bottles of Japannese and South Dalanian beer, whiskey, vodka, gin, rum, and even soju stood on an end table acting as an improvised bar. A few of the soldiers were lounging in their boxers, as evidence of what had been a vicious strip-poker game and all looked to be drunk at one point or another.
A few of the soldiers cheered as Lieutenant Choi and Major Kim faced off against one another in a drinking. A number of small porcelain cups filled to the brim with soju sat between them and each man in turn, lifted one up, downing the harsh liquor in one go.
Although red-faced, Major Kim had managed to win the game by one drink. His uniform jacket off and his tie loosened, the major was now cheerfully seated next to a barely clothed Captain Amuro, engaged in a game of craps with several of the men. The room cheered as the major rolled the dice, coming up once again with a seven.
***********
Outside, the two high ranking generals had fallen into conversation. The moonlight shone down on them as they stood leaning against the railing. Waves gently crashed against the cliffs below them as the two recounted past experiences, lost loves, and the events of the recent Bonstockian War.
During a lull in the conversation, Kang Woo glanced over, taking in the slim shape of her body in the moonlight. He felt a familliar stirring within his emotions....it had been a long time since he'd been with or felt this way about a woman. As she stopped to stare out at the ocean, he lightly placed one hand over hers as he turned to watch it with her...
"A moment frozen in time," thought the general as he smiled to himself.

"CHIGOYU!" Amuro shouted, drunkenly. Wrong.
Amuro raised her glass and fell on the ground. She was now only clothed in her underwear, having lost hte rest of her clothing.
She murmured somthing incoherently and immediately went to sleep.
General Sung sighed. "I really hope you dont mind some of the ladies here," she said. "They really are very wild, and I think it's because of the nature of hte CTC. We're isolated here, and the scenery here isa lot better than the stuff we see at our bases."
She grinned and patted General Kang's hand. "I hope you're having fun here," she said. "I sure am, and to tell you the truth, I'm here for vacation; my command's going to be transferred to my deputy for a month or two, and I'll be here for a while.
"But we can enjoy ourselves while we're here," she said, giving him a light kiss on the cheek. "Would you like to go see some of the sights on the island tomorrow?"

The sun rose over the horizon slowly, sluggishly, the first rays of tropical heat touching the white sands lightly. Gentle waves lapped at the beaches, and the jungle came alive with sounds of chirping and whistling..
He felt a heat inside of him as her lips brushed his cheek. He smiled to himself...he'd been invited to tour the island with possibly the most beautiful military officer on the face of the earth. This truly was paradise...
Knowing that he must look like an idiot, he turned to her, wiping the dorky look off of his face. "Sure," he managed to get out. "I'd love to go view you with the sights....I mean sight the views with you...I mean you with view the sights...aww hell," he stammered with an embarassed look on his face. He didn't know what to do...so his body instinctively moved on it own.
Leaning forward, he quickly embraced the young East Islandian officer, covering her lips with his as he kissed her deeply. The moonlight shone down on the scene, covering the two with a pale white light as the kiss dragged on...
Inside the room, two of the soldiers watched as they looked outside. "Gee...General Lee really is a player after all..." murmered one of the drunk soldiers...right before he passed out.

Yoshida slowly opened his eyes as the morning light streamed through the window. He was greeted by the sight of a sleeping General Soong; Yoshida smirked to himself as he stretched.
Another outstanding performance...
He hauled himself out of bed and grabbed a pair of track pants, then took a short walk down to the nearest beach. He yawned loudly, rubbed his eyes, then began his exercises.
He wasn't surprised when Zhongji joined him a few minutes later.
"Soong wanted to know where you were."
"Oh, she's up is she? I thought I'd left her in a blissful coma."
As the two men continued with their exercises, Zhongji started laughing.
"We're in another nation in another timezone with no way for anyone back home to know what we're up to, but we're still doing the compulsory morning exercise."
Yoshida grinned. "You bet we are; Juanai could probably tell if we'd missed a day. So, are they both up then?"
"Yeah, they're gossiping about us or they're making breakfast. "
They soon finished exercising and headed back up to the house.

Kim raised herself on her hands.
"LIke this, General?" she asked. Her feet were off the ground, and up in the air. Kim was doing her best not to fall over, maintaining her balance in a precarious position like that.
"Thats right," Soong replied. "Now do it. And count off." Soong was also in a similar position, and the two women did handstand pushups, counting to fifty.
"Okay, finish your stretching and let's get some sparring in," Soong ordered. A highly advanced practitioner of Islandian sariya, she was lightning fast and one of the original founders of the Islandian military's unarmed combat curriculum.
Kim flexed her fists, and tied on open fingered gloves and slipped on feet protectors. Soong did the same, and the two women faced each other, wind raising their hair and blowing gently all around them.
Soong attacked, throwing a flurry of kicks and punches. Kim managed to block most of them, but a vicious side kick doubled her over before she regained her footing. She growled lightly and snapped a high kick, which Soong ducked. The general grabbed her upraised foot quickly and tripped her.
But as Kim fell, her other leg scissored and hit the general in the head. She executed a scissor kick and sent her opponent to the ground, rolling away from her.
Soong frowned. IT seemed that she had underestimated her subordinate.
"You do know that I'm one of the unarmed combat specialists on base," Kim said tauntingly.
"I made the curriculum, girl," Soong replied.
The Korean went airborne, slashing at Soong's face viciously with her legs. Soong ducked and rolled onto her back, pushing her legs up and hitting Kim in the crotch. She fell and winced, holding her sensitive areas in pain.
"Sorry, Kim," Soong said. "If you were dealing with someone slower, you would have ripped them to pieces by now, though, so dont feel bad. YOu just need work."
Kim sighed, and the sudden smell of burning food reached their nostrils.
THey looked at each other and ran back into the house.
Luckily, not all the food was gone, so they set out a spread consisting of eggs, bacon, lotus seed buns, grilled fish, wild spiced rice native to Islandia, and shreds of pork basted in a tangerine sauce.

General Sung sighed. She didnt think Premier Chai would really get this far with her suggestion to lighten up, but things didnt always turn out as they thought they would...
She stepped out of the shower and dried herself, quickly restoring herself to a world of normalcy after morning exercises. She slipped on another dress, a light, partially see through summer dress made of silk and transparent spiderweave.
Sung checked her belongings and made sure she had everything before leaving her dwelling...

Kim sighed. At least the two of them sparred with body armor on; if not, Soong's blow would have left her aching for weeks. She watched as the men came back up the beach and shrugged off her gear. Soong did likewise.

General Sung smiled as she walked to her car. The memory of the kiss last night...well, that was something. To say it simply, her heart pounded so much that she felt as if she couldnt breathe.
I think Premier Chai's right, Sung thought. I like him. A lot.
Never one to openly admit her emotions, she had cut out a cardboard heart for him. Somewhat childish, she admitted ot herself, but still, she couldnt really think of any other way to say it....
Automatic rifle fire filled the air and a haze of smoke drifted over the forested glen. Soldiers screamed in pain, falling down as they were shot while their opponents crowed victoriously. Others, wielding their own rifles whooped as they squeezed off shots in the direction of the enemy....
..and none of it was real.
Lifting the front of his paintball mask, Kang Woo grinned as he ducked another volley of BB's. The South Dalanians had brought in a shipment of airsoft rifles and were currently using them on a training exercise. The goal of this mission had been to assault an uphill position with inferior firepower. Kang Woo had been commanding the attacking unit...although they hadn't fared so well. Major Kim's unit which occupied the high ground had pinned them down with the two M249 airsoft SAW's they carried and had then circled the beaten attacking force with riflemen. Needless to say, despite Kang Woo's skill with his Tokyo Marui G3-A3 rifle, his force had been badly beaten.
Upon return to their quarters, Major Kim had them rest for an hour, then change back into their BDU's for a hand to hand combat lesson on the terrace outside. Kang Woo was exempt from this so he used the time to take a shower and change into his civillian clothes which were a pair of knee length tan shorts, a pair of white Adidas, and a blue button up collared shirt.
Moving outside to the rented car, he smiled as he climbed in, remembering the previous night. He'd gone out early in the morning before reveille and had picked a bouquet of some of the local tropical flowers....pretty cliche he knew, but a token of his affection just the same.
Starting the engine, he drove off to the meeting spot. He knew she'd be there and he didn't want to be late.

Yoshida and Zhongji smiled at the two Islandians as they entered the house and gave their partners a gentle kiss before sitting down to breakfast. Zhongji frowned as he watched Kim sit down next to him; she seemed a bit stiff for some reason. He drew his chair closer and put his arm around her.
Yoshida didn't know where to start with breakfast, so he piled a portion of everything onto a plate and began eating. After a few seconds he stopped and smiled at Soong. "Sorry for not sticking around earlier. Morning exercises and all that. By the way, this food is delicious! I don't know many Marimaian generals who could cook this well...or do what you did last night. Anyway, Zhongji and I have got our little presentation for your students ready, so whenever you want us to enlighten them just say the word."

Soong looked a bit sad, so she sighed and hunched her shoulders. "Well, truth of the matter is that we dont have very many students here," she said, dryly. "A few nations have promised to enroll their students, but we're still waiting word from them, and as for those who are here, we only have about three hundred students, with about a hundred of them from Islandian units and the other two contingents being made up of Hudecian and Dalanian troops. I mean, we still want to share our techniques and such, but well, there really arent as many students here as we want there to be."
Kim grinned. "More time for us," she said, snuggling with Zhongji. "Still, General Soong hits too hard when she spars."
Soong grinned and shrugged as way of apology. "Sorry, Sgt," she replied. "Who's up for some range practice after this? Or maybe we could go boating and spend our day off wisely before Sgt. Kim returns to work at the CTC?"

Capt. Amuro watched, bemusedly as the Islandian Marines sauntered up the hill, jogging slowly with their buckets of water slung over their shoulders. It was standard procedure for morning exercise to run with weights, and most often, commanders improvised. Amuro had seen and used anything from buckets slung coolie style over one's shoulder to brass rings taped to her body, but whatever hte case, it always made one stronger.
If they could finish in one piece, of course. Amuro set down her buckets of water on the finish line and wiped the sweat off her brow, calming her beating heart.
"Hey! Hurry it up!" she yelled to the men behind her, who doubled their paces and crossed the finish line.
Several hours later, Amuro changed into her civilian clothing, a skimpy tank top and tight jeans, and drove over to the Dalanian compound, just in time to see them begin their unarmed combat training. Since she was off for the rest of the day, she had plenty of time to kill....
********
General Sung smiled as she saw Kang approaching. She waved and gave him a kiss as he came up to her.
"What, no morning exercises for you today?" she asked jokingly. She patted his cheek and looked him over. "Nice outfit," she added. "Ready to go to the beach?"
The day was bright over East Islandia. Sunlight warmed the beaches, filled the air with a pleasant heat, and shone down onto the terraces of beach houses across the land. There wasn't a more pleasant place to be had...
And the calm was shattered by a loud *oof*
With a thud, a South Dalanian soldier fell to the terrace, his legs knocked out from by a reverse spin kick to the head. Rubbing his head ruefully, he moved to the end of the line of soldiers as Major Kim climbed up from his low horse stance.
"Most if not all of you have been trained in taekwondo, however there's more to the art of self-defense than simply ranged kicks," instructed the major as he brushed his hands off. "Most of the time your enemy will be inside your kicking range...at that time a spinning roundhouse or a reverse crescent kick will not save you. You all need to know how to grapple or defend."
Waving his hand, he stepped back as a burly trainee rushed forward. Throwing a combination of kicks and punches, he was soon flipped over Kim's shoulder and tossed to the ground by a combination aikido sweep and a judo shoulder throw. Climbing to his feet, the fighter moved to the back of the line as Kim climbed back to his feet.
"You've all seen the effects of close grappling, but--" His voice trailed off as he caught a glimpse of Captain Amuro standing on the terrace watching them. "---I'd like to be able to demonstrate the advantages of long range fighting to you dorks," he said, grinning, as the trainees cheerfully booed him.
Turning to the East Islandian captain he smiled as he asked, "Captain Amuro, would you mind sparring against me for a second? Just to show these guys the correct way to do things."
*********************
Kang Woo smiled and kissed her back as he placed an arm around her shoulders. His eyes trailed down her body, taking in the shape and cut of the white silk dress. "Thanks...you look great too," he said with a smile. Then as if remembering something he exclaimed, "Crap! Almost forgot!" Dashing back to the car, he removed a bouquet of local flowers, handing them to the beautiful young officer with a goofy grin. "Picked them myself this morning."
Looking down at the white sandy beach and the clear water, he smiled with a mischievous look in his eyes. "Want to race down?" he asked with a smile in his eyes.

"Yeah, I don't mind either. As long as we get to spend time with these lovely ladies, of course."
As Yoshida began snuggling with Soong, Zhongji turned back to Kim.

Capt Amuro shrugged, and told them to wait. She went downstairs, stopping at her car, and extracted a large duffel bag, before closing the trunk and running back upstairs.
Amuro unzipped the bag, extracting several flakvests and standard field issue groin protectors. She tossed them to Major Kim, as well as a pair of fingerless gloves (with the padding on the knuckles, but fingers free so as to be easily manueverable) and a pair of light shin padding.
Amuro slipped off her pants quickly, nonchalantly in front of the crowd, and pulled on a pair of blue-gray-green Marine fatigues, lacing on her gear quickly. She considered headgear, but shook her head and tossed it to the ground.
"Ok," she said. "This is what we wear in training, since this is likely what we'll be wearing when we...apply our unarmed combat skills. So just slip them on; they should be comfortable and easy to wear, since spidersilk is lighter than kevlar and twice as strong."
She flexed her fists and stood at a ready stance, feet shoulder length apart, fists up at head level like her karate instructors taught her. Of course, she had dabbled in a little bit of sariya, since that was the official martial arts of Islandia, and a bit of Sanshou's grappling component (shuaijiao and chin-na) from Col. Tang, who knew several Chinese martial arts styles, so she was relatively well rounded.
Amuro started off with a quick snap kick at Kim's midsection, a probing attack to see how he would react. If he ducked, then she would follow through with another one. If he caught it....
She would do what Col. Tang taught her to do.

Soong thought for a little bit. "Well, why dont we go to the beach down at Vu Harbor?" she asked. "It's quiet, nice, and pretty there, with some of the white sand we're famous for and a nice view and an out of the way location."
Sgt. Kim smiled. "I'd love to. What is Marimaia like tho? My friend who was in one of the training units over there never really told me anything about the physical terrain and the landscape and the culture...you know, that sort of interesting detail..."

does anybody take martial arts here?
Marimaia, do you want to send students to the CTC also, or is that too much to RP?
Kim grinned. A standard tactic was to throw an attack intended to gauge reactions. Most fighters would expect an opponent to block the kick or catch it, however Kim had sparred with fighters from several different martial arts and knew the penalty for overreacting to the first attack. A block would leave him positioned in one spot, vulnerable to a counterattack, while moving in would leave him to open to grappling.
Instead of blocking, ducking, or catching the kick, the South Dalanian major simply backpedaled, pulling his head to one side as the kick whooshed past his head, clipping his abdomen. He was amazed at her speed....a second slower and he'd be doubled over in pain right now.
Leaning back, he shifted his weight, throwing a spinning axe kick down at her shoulder...

Yoshida winked and motioned to go upstairs.
As the two superiors headed off, Zhongji sighed as he described his homeland. "Marimaia is actually quite similar to Islandia in climate terms. We have beaches, where most of the tourists go; if you're not interested in beaches, there's the Kunrong Mountains. I went climbing there once, it's absolutely beautiful. It gives you a stunning view of the city of Kesaiba and Suunist Dam, which is one of our construction triumphs. If you don't like that, you could ride a dune buggy across the Gonggong Wilderness, or you could go exploring in one of the ancient ruins; we're finding a lot of things from the civilisation which was there before us, it's fascinating stuff."
"Or, you could go to Heiphong, our capital. See the sights, go shopping, see the Proletarian Guard performing one of their displays. The people are friendly and laid-back. As long as you don't harm others or criticise the government, it's your life to live how you want. Premier Suun has turned every public holiday into a huge party, and we recently voted to change the national anthem to a song by Sakano, who are without a doubt the best band in Marimaian history. Of course, that relaxed lifestyle is only possible due to the constant efforts of people like myself, Minister Yoshida, and of course the armed forces; the people know that, and we get a lot of respect for it."
"You'd be welcomed with open arms, because you're Islandian. Your countrymen at Mingzao have really won the populace over with their manners, plus we show gratitude to those who help us. You'd probably be invited to meet the Premier; Yoshida would gossip to him that I've got an Islandian officer as a guest, and since His Excellency likes meeting foreigners we'd be over there for a full state dinner. If you can stand curious hospitality, then you'll enjoy yourself."

IF that didnt work, she'd try and work a scissor kick from that position. Or, perhaps see if she could try and use some grappling to her advantage.

Tang watched as the men squatted down in the horsestance on the wooden blocks. He too, was caught in the suffocating position, and while his legs ached andbegged for mercy, he refused to listen.
"Are we through yet?" one of the men asked. "We've done this for about ten minutes, sir."
"Then hold it for ten more," Tang replied.
The men groaned but stayed where they were.
Normally, Tang would get a specialist, like Kim or Corporal Ung, a native Islandian who was extremely proficient at Sariya, to teach the unit. But since they were relatively inexperienced when it came to hand to hand combat, they would have to start somewhere.
Like horse stance.
Forty minutes later, after intensive stretching, Tang had them all slip on gloves, mouthpieces, and helmets, the type of outfit they would be wearing on a mission.
And the fun began.

Miles away, Capt. Ikegami and his team stormed a stranded airplane, supposedly 'hijacked' by terrorists. They boarded quickly after shooting rifle launched flashbangs through the windows, their carbines and MP5s spitting simunitions into the attackers. The thirty PATO personnel were lined up on the airstrip, bags in front of them. Defence Minister Wanfa Kong strode purposefully back and forth while he addressed them.
"Security Minister Yoshida has suggested that we send more students to the Islandian CTC. You will give 110%, and you will show the other students why you are the very best. Understood?"
"Yes sir!"
He grinned broadly at their simultaneous response. "Fall out! Colonel Zhongji shall take command once you arrive. Major Lin, good luck."
Major Lin saluted her superior. "Thank you sir."
The plane soon took off and headed towards East Islandia.
When the plane touched down at its destination, the Marimaians were escorted to their accomodation where they began to settle in.

Yoshida and Zhongji grinned at each other as they sat in the back of the car; their visit to East Islandia was proving more eventful than they'd first imagined.
"Our people should have touched down by now. Wanfa Kong picked Major Lin to be your subordinate."

"Welcome to the CTC!" Major Zhu boomed out on his loudspeaker. One of the ranking officers present, higher ranked than all the Special Operations Captains and Lieutenants, he was two steps down from Col. Tang but technically not the second in command, since he was often away on field missions. "I am Major Zhu, and I will be one of your many, colorful instructors. In time, of course, you will grow to dislike us, as I tell you now, you will go through hell, but I am quite confident you will survive. You come to us highly recommended, and I challenge all of you now to show us just how accurate your superiors were in their assessment of you.
"Now, if you can get squared away quickly and get used to the sights, we will be conducting various light drills today; training starts tomorrow at 0530 hours, and will end around 1500 hours, with a few breaks in between. Every other day, you will alternate for various lectures and field studies, so dont worry about rest. Also, as long as you dont sleep in class and keep up with the work, you just might pass."
Luckier for the Marimaians, who arrived later than the first group, they were driven in FUNCTIONING Humvees to their compound, adjacent to the Hudecian and Dalanian compounds.
Each student group was provided with several blue-gray-green camoflaged HMMVWs, depending on the size of the group, and the thirty from Marimaia were given five modified vehciles which could fit about six each.

"The harshest woman you'll ever meet. We call her the Black Widow because she's a poisonous bitch who seems to ruin any man she sleeps with."
Yoshida nodded. "She's scary. Damn good at fighting though. She prefers to command through fear. I know that you ladies can handle yourselves, but if I were you I'd steer clear of her."

Major Lin inspected the accomodations with a disapproving scowl. "It'll do. Right, that room is off-limits to you men." She pointed over at the female dorm of the compound. "If I get even a sense that any of you have been in there..."
The other trainees nodded. "Glad you understand that. Now, I expect that Colonel Zhongji will stop by when he's finished with diplomatic ventures, but just because he's 'nice' doesn't mean I will be. You will pass this. If you don't, you will answer to me."
As she turned her back, one of the trainees whispered "Why'd they give us such a bitch?"
Lin turned to face them again. "The Defence Minister wants results, that's why. You have a problem with that, take it up with him when we get home. Another remark like that, and that may be sooner than some of you think. Lieutenant Soryu, let's go."
Soryu, the only other woman in the team and Lin's much meeker second-in-command, followed her into the female dorm while the men began unpacking.

"No need to be so harsh, Major Lin," Zhu said, his voice floating over the din of the packing. Along with Coporal Choong, the two of them carried about thirty three goggles and the same number of Simunitions configured pistols, along with extra clips of the waxy, nontoxic, water soluble rounds. "You'll need some of this if you wish to get through, but I'm fairly certain no one will wash out so easily."
The two of them set the crates down on the floor. Zhu also put a stack of maps on the equipment. "If you need anything, contact Cpl Choong and her support staff; the number should be listed at the telephones. Breakfast, if you wish, is at the dining hall about half a click from the residential areas after morning exercises, and to get into Wakano City, there is a regular train running every hour, and a ferry that runs every half hour to the neighboring islands."
The two of them bade them farewell and left.

Kim nodded thoughtfully. "We'll stay clear of her," she said. "Though I do hope most of the ranking officers here will also. A lot of them are somewhat wild when it comes to relaxing, and their idea of fun usually ends up being all night karaoke and then sex at someone's house."
Soong nodded. "That is part of the reason I'm here, and I will make sure that this does not go on when the CTC begins."

Hmm, I thought it would be easier if we all traded weapons and specs on what we used in our respective militaries so we can get a feel for what each group uses and to avoid confusion. In East Islandia, we use the following:
Type 97 Assault Rifle, of Chinese manufacture, chambered for the 5.56mm NATO round, and also the Type 97 carbine.
Type 70 SMG- a bullpup submachine gun chambered for 9mm Beretta round. Something that looks similar to this weapon would be the FN P90 Submachine gun of Belgium.
MP5- in Naval, Silenced, and regular versions. Also, the MP10 is used, butfor the most part, only police and the Border Guard use this weapon, as the military prefers bullpup format on its guns.
Type 89S Sniper rifle- of Chinese design, rebuilt with a special Polymer body and rechambered to fit the 7.62mm NATO round.
MSG90 and PSG1 sniper rifles, both manufactured by Heckler and Koch.
Arctic Warfare (L96A) Sniper Rifle, by Accuracy International
Sig Sauer SS2000 Sniper Rifle
That's the basics; what I dont have, Agrigento probably will have, and for more information on our standard issue weapons and gear, check out our storefront at:

Lin scowled as she unpacked. "Who do they think they're talking to?!"
Soryu sighed as she answered. "They have a point. You can be a little harsh sometimes...I mean, only a little."
Lin eyed Soryu for a moment. "It's for their own good. Discipline equals efficiency, efficiency equals success."
Meanwhile, the male trainees were settling in just fine. Private Hua rummaged through his things and pulled out a rolled-up poster; the others all knew what was coming next. Sergeant Yun offered to help him put it up.
"So fanclub member 3201795 couldn't leave without it. Come on, give it here."
Once it was up, he turned to the others. "Gentlemen, your inspiration! Courtesy of the Chiisu Suun Official Fanclub."
Major Lin walked out to investigate the cause of the noise to find an enormous poster of a broadly grinning Premier Suun attached to the wall.
"Hua! I told you that it was to stay behind! Take it down!"
"Are you banning us from showing respect for the Premier?"
Lin narrowed her eyes; if she left it there, she lost face; if she took it down, she looked unpatriotic. She chose the former.
"I'll let it go this time. Hua, we'll talk when we get home. Now shut up and get unpacked!"
She stormed back into the female dorm and slammed the door.

A flight of three Ka-60Ms roared over the residential compounds, buzzing the houses and generating plenty of dust and sand. Troops immediately ziplined down and landed, running towards the Marimaian compound. On seeing a scowling Major Lin, the heavily armored Marines stopped in puzzlement, then shot at her, thinking her to be one of the terrorists in their exercise before bursting into the compound, where they found a group of puzzled Marimaians... not terrorists. Now thoroughly puzzled as well, the confused men asked them if they were from the Islandian Border Police, who were supposed to be roleplaying the terrorists that day. When they said no, the men apologized quickly and ran back out.
By then, the helos had settled down on the ground, their pilots confused when the pre-orchestrated raid seemed not to have materialized. They powered down their helicopters, and began discussing the snags in the mission. What had happened? They were two klicks from the coastline, and their course was as the flight plan had dictated.
What had gone wrong? And why was the scary Marimaian woman grilling them like crazy?
Capt. Aung frowned in confusion and slid off his helmet. He walked up to Major Lin, and began to explain to her why they had just shot her, and even offered her a handkerchief. In fact, he even bowed a few times, something uncommon for a native Islandian unless apologizing profoundly. Still, he thought she seemed quite pretty, if a bit...menacing.
"He WHAT?" Lt. Tien shouted, nearly jumping out of his seat. "Capt. Aung? Are you certain?"
"That's what happend," Tien's wife, an Intelligence officer, told him. "Now go and settle this mess; i have a field exercise in twenty."
Tien nodded, and drove out in his gray HMMVW to see what was happening. He hoped htat the hapless Marine Captain had kept his head, alhtough it was really the fault of the Air Force Special Ops flyers (they were inexperienced).

You were obviously given that uniform by your mother for your birthday, because you certainly couldn't have earned it with this kind of performance! No, I don't want your damn handkerchief! You'd be a disgrace to any uniform!"
The other Marimaians watched from as far away as possible while Major Lin unleashed her wrath; Soryu cringed as the major's voice left 'shout' and entered 'screech'. "Doesn't she realise that she can't talk to foreign personnel like that?"
Sergeant Yun chuckled to himself. "Oh I dunno, as long as she's yelling at them, we're safe. Makes you wonder if the Defence Minister was smoking anything when he assigned her to this though."
The major almost let out a primal scream as the captain before her bowed again. "That's not going to save you! Wait until your superior gets here...they are sending someone competent to clear this up, aren't they?! Graaahhhh!"
Several of the Marimaians suppressed a laugh when they heard the roar; Lin began pacing back and forth, waiting for someone of a higher rank to arrive.

"Well, we're not elite," Aung replied, grinning haplessly in between bows. "I'm actually new, and so are my pilots."
Flight Officer Saito and his companions hurried up to Major Lin and bowed quickly.
"It was our fault," he said. "We are very sorry for flying into the wrong compound, and please forgive us. We'll buy you a crate of beer if you wish, and pay for whatever damages we have incurred."
Sgt Major Quai laughed silently. "Maybe this proves that men really are unfit to be in the armed forces," she said to her companion, citing arguments by feminist Islandians.
Just then, Lt. Tien pulled up, accompanied by a Ka-60C helo (C for Command) with Major Chien Ziwei aboard. The men ran towards Major Lin.
Chien's face was smeared with camoflage, and gripping his training weapon, a modified Type 97 with custom handrails and laser sight.
"What happened, Capt. Aung? You're behind schedule...dont tell me you broke into the Marimaian compound!"
Aung grinned helplessly and bowed to his senior officers too. In fact, he juss threw his weapons down and bowed his head to the ground, kneeling and shouting his apologies.
Tien rolled his eyes. "You moron aviators should be bowing too," he said. He turned to Major Lin. "Ma'am, I'm very sorry about this, and my staff and I will make it up to you any way I can. These guys are kinda new, and you kno, it's better that they make the mistake here and not on the battlefield."
Chien offered her his handkerchief, a forest green camouflage bandanna.
When she didnt seem to take it, he began wiping at her face himself.
"Actually, it may not have been good that we did this to her compound," Tien muttered. He bowed too, and slapped at Chien, motioning for him to be stop wiping the scary Marimaian lady. "How may we make it up to you?"

Lin finally stopped ranting and folded her arms. "Well, it's about time. If you want to make it up to me, you can go into our compound, take a list of what each person dreams about having for dinner, then go out, buy everything on the lists and deliver it here. If they seem a little hesitant to indulge themselves, remind them that you're paying. I also want to see Colonel Zhongji. I don't care who he's with or what he's doing, I want to see him. Now. If Minister Yoshida is with him, bring him too."
The Marimaians looked at each other in shock. "She's actually doing something for us? Wow, I guess I misjudged her."
Soryu shook her head at Hua's comment. "No, she's only said that because she wants them to squirm a bit. If they agree to do that, then she's made them lose face and spend a hell of a lot of money. We're just tools in this. Still, let's hope they go for it."

Tien paled. He would prob lose two months' back pay if he did that, so he grinned broadly to cover for his sudden unease.
"They'll pay for it!!" he exclaimed, wrapping his arms around the pilots and squeezing.
"They did the actual shooting," the pilots said, pointing at the Marines.
"But they flew us there!!" the Marines shouted back.
"So? cant you tell if they're 'hostiles' or not?!" they retorted.
Chien slapped all of them roundly. "Shut up all of you. We're going to call Col. Tang."
In a lower whisper he said, "Since he doesnt care about face so much anyway."
*****
"Make them pay," Tang said off the bat. "If they wanna fly into the residential compound when theeres a clear 'NO FLY ZONE' marked over there, then they're paying. And I dont care how much of a bitch you think she is; OBEY HER EVERY F**KING ORDER!"
He slammed the phone down. "That should give them something to think about."
"But isnt that too harsh?" the pink haired corporal to his right asked.
"No," Tang replied. "They'll have to learn that; we're kinda renowned for our harsh lessons."
"Speaking of harsh lessons," the pink haired girl replied.
"I guess mine's overdue," he admitted, as she jumped on him.

"He said pay for it," Tien said. "So pay; contribute EQUALLY, all of you. I'll throw in three hundred li for good measure, so dont accuse me of wrongdoing. besides, food here is cheap anyway."
They bowed their heads and sighed, going around to list the foods that everyone wanted.
The Hudecians thought about trying to sneak into line to get some of their favourite foods but quickly thought better of it.
The Hudecians remained at ease but were ready to move out as soon as possible.

The Marimaians decided to indulge themselves; the foods ordered included caviar, lobsters, abalone, oysters, champagne and various other items that were normally only seen at Marimaia's finest restaurants. Major Lin seemed quite satisfied with her 'victory' and now awaited the arrival of her superiors. Not known for her patience, she decided to find them herself; she collared Sgt. Yun into assisting her then managed to borrow a helicopter after browbeating one of the already harassed Islandian pilots into giving them a lift.
--------------------------
Zhongji and Yoshida were walking on the beach with their dates when the breeze picked up. A loud droning caused them to look up, and the four watched as the helicopter found somewhere to land. Both Marimaians groaned as Major Lin charged over the sand towards them and saluted.
"Colonel! Minister! Reporting for duty!"
Zhongji managed a weak smile. "Major, may I ask what you're doing out here?"
"I asked our hosts if they could contact you. I wish to speak with you about certain matters."
Yoshida smirked. "They did contact us. We were merely enjoying the company of two lovely officers before things kick off tomorrow. Now, please, go back to your accomodation and we'll speak later."
"Minister, I must protest!"
"Colonel, what's the penalty for insubordination?"
Lin scowled. "Very well, I shall see you both later."
They watched as the helicopter left, then Yoshida turned to Soong. "Sorry about that. Listen, could you give us a lift back to the house? I hate to cut this time short, but we should probably get prepared before we have to listen to her."

"Sure," Soong replied. The two women didnt seem very happy, but sighed.
"I guess we were bound to meet her one way or another," Kim replied. "But I'm trying to figure out how she got Flight Officer Tan to fly her here."
They drove back to the Marimaian compound.

Several HMMVWs came for the Hudecians, driven by several Islandian drivers. They were transported to the firing range, and given all the manner of weapons, and told to have fun.

"What will I get out of this?" the quartermaster, a rather bored looking man asked.
"MY LIFE!" Aung cried. "Well, what do you want?"
"This is a pretty tall order," the quartermaster said. "And I'll take ten favors. From all of you."
"Sh*t," Chien muttered.
"Or perhaps the finest restaurants on Wakano Beach sell them for much more??" the quartmaster suggested.
They immediately acquiesced. Luckily for them, food was, as ever, very, very cheap in Islandia, so truckloads of the goodies arrived at the compound within a matter of hours, as well as a note that said:
Dont eat too much tonight,
Or you may find yourselves stuck on Deadman's Reef.

As the Marimaians began sharing out the food, Lin stepped out to meet Zhongji and Yoshida as they pulled up.
"Sirs! Glad you could finally make it."
Yoshida smiled at Kim and Soong. "We might be a while. We'll get our guys to run us back to the house, so if you want to wait there or whatever, we'll see you girls later."
Lin escorted them inside, where they helped themselves to some of the food before being taken into the female dorm for a private conversation. Lin recanted the story of what had happened earlier, with Yoshida biting his lip to stop himself from laughing while Zhongji listened politely. When she finished, Zhongji shrugged his shoulders.
"Is that it? Was that all you wanted?"
"No sir, there was something else..."
Soryu frowned as she looked at the clock. "They've been in there for over an hour now; what takes so long to talk about?"
Yun shrugged. "She's probably exaggerating the whole thing from this afternoon."
The Marimaians looked up as the three came out and stood in the middle of the room. Zhongji smiled at the assembled personnel.
"I'll be commanding you guys during this. Major Lin thought it would be better if you had a veteran of the last CTC with you, so she relinquished responsibility to me. Anyway, there's a few things I didn't mention about last time, so I'll tell you guys now."
After a long discussion, Sgt. Yun gave Zhongji and Yoshida a lift back in one of the assigned HMMVWs, then drove back to the compound. In order to work off any excess calories that the feast had contained, the Marimaians performed an extra hour of exercises before they went to bed.

"Wake them up," Zhu ordered the men, all instructors at the CTC.
They nodded, and chambered their weapons. Ducking in through the windows, rigged to be opened from the outside, they took careful aim, and began to shoot at any sleeping bodies. Zhu primed a flashbang and tossed it through the window, following suit witha few more flashbangs here and there.
He slid in through a special access hatch, and appeared in the dining room.
"AWAKE YET?" Capt. Aung shouted, pulling out another flashbang in case of an ambush, and undoubtedly relishing his payback.
*******
"Go," Tang ordered.
Window charges breached the thinner lower windows as the men swung into the Hudecian compound, guns blazing as they shot off their simunitions rounds at the sleeping Hudecians. Through specially constrcuted pipes, flashbangs were slid down into each and every room, and went off with resounding THUD and a flash.
"AWAKE YET?!" they shouted through loudspeakers.
**********
Simunitions rounds thudded against General Sung, who groaned in irritation as black suited instructors broke in, carefully leaving their shoes at the door, as with their comrades. They leveled their weapons and fired, hitting Sung and presumably Kang in the behind.
Sung lunged for her robe and her goggles, slipping both on immediately and turned her Simunitions pistol on the instructors. She giggled; Tang told her to expect anything, but this...
This was juss too much fun, she thought, as she scored direct hits on their faces in a matter of seconds.

"Isnt this a little harsh?" Corporal Chun, dressed in a figure contour battlesuit, asked, her pink hair falling over her face.
"No," Tang replied. "It's what I do to every one of my students, and I'm surprised you havent gotten the Tang treatment."
She smiled. "Which Tang treatment are you talking about?" she asked innocently.
He grinned back at her, but was interrupted as Simunitions whizzed by him and smacked into several of his students.
"THEY'RE LOOKING FOR A FIGHT!!" one of his instructors yelled.
"AT THEM BOYS!" Tang cried, and his men began shooting back.

Corporal Chun (ooc actually Tamao from Shaman King)
***
Corporal Chun ducked as the simunitions flashed over her head. She blew a strand of hair out of her face and grinned beneath her goggles. As an adjutant to General Sung for the past year, she rarely got to see action, only to learn martial arts, exercise, and go down to the shooting range every now and then.
Chun, however, was formerly a member of Sung's old unit, the Crescent Rangers Division, an elite rapid deployment unit; her specialty had been close combat, including knives, unarmed, pistols, and submachine guns.
She whistled and put her MP5 to her shoulder. Tang waved her forward and they crouched around a doorway.
He chucked a flashbang in, waited for it to detonate, then rushed inside.
Lieutenant Procter rolled out of his bed and then underneath it to try to avoid the firefight.
The Hudecians were awake and quite agitated but for the most part the simply came to attention and formed up ready to be trained. The firing and the flashbangs had given them a temporary adrenaline rush, but the effect would wear off soon enough.

Several of the Marimaians jumped out of bed only to be hit by simunitions, while others dived for cover and grabbed their own weapons in an attempt to fight back. After a short firefight, things calmed down a bit and the Marimaians got ready for training. As they were heading for the door, Hua yelled loudly.
"They hit him! Damn it!"
The rest of the group turned to see Hua wiping simunition residue from the poster on the wall. Once it was cleaned up he turned back to the others.
"They shot him!"
"It's a poster, besides it's clean now."
Hua glared at Sgt. Yun. "A stain inflicted on a picture of His Excellency is a stain inflicted on Marimaia's honour. Never mind the fact that they thought it funny to put us through that. I say we return the favour. Later."
Major Lin couldn't stop herself from smiling. "I completely agree."
The Marimaians filed out and formed up.

Proctor climbed out from under his bed after the shooting had subsided. Swearing to himself to vowed never to underestimate these East Islandians again. He had hidden his simunitions weapons beneath his bed but by the time he got it almost all of his men, including himself, were "splattered". Probably the exercise was more meant as a tool to break them rather than teach them.
Tonight there would be sentries posted outside the Hudecian barracks he vowed.

"It's not just funny," Aung replied. "It's called 'expect anything.'"
"Besides, everyone has pictures of our premier cause shes hot," Zhu muttered. "Not cause of some weirdo fan club."
Everyone marched to the obstacle course. Once there, they were all told to put on goggles, bodyarmor, combat boots, and given rifles of their choice and ammunition to go with it.
"This is a 'live' fire course," Tang said. "By 'live,' I mean that there will be guys in black suits shooting at you as you run through the course. Normally, a well trained operative can run through this half kilometer course, with a minimum of hits, in five minutes. Keep in mind, however, that there will not only be simunitions, but also rolling things, flying things, and branches in the paths."
"Get used to this," Tien ordered. "We're doing it EVERY day."
"Go!" Tang ordered.
Two Ka-60Ms took off from the airbase nearby, with modified weapons, including a 'splatter cannon,' which could douse entire squads in paint. They hovered at three hundred feet, with several Marines aboard, and made their way towards the obstacle course.
In the meantime, troops lurked in the woods, rifles at ready, camouflaged and booby traps rigged.
Will join as soon as I'm outa class...
As the troops ran off into the forest for their training, a slight rumble was heard overhead. The rumble slowly became a roar, and the roar slowed above the starting point. The roar was comming from the MD-15 Blackfoot Special Operations Insertion Craft, a modified version of the UD-2L Copperhead Dropship.
It hovered overhead, and slowly set down. The engines quieted, and the rear door opened. Twentyfive men, dressed in relaxed combat fatigues, stepped off the drop ship, and looked around. The one that seemed to be the leader, wearing a set of seargent bars, stepped forward.

Two Marimaians were taken out quickly, splattered heavily with simunitions; the rest charged onwards, Major Lin in the lead. Suddenly Hua ran ahead of the others towards the woods, yelling various curse words in Marimaian.
"Idiot!" Lin and the others ran after him, and finally found him hanging upside down from a tree after triggering a snare.
"Well, congratulations. Moron."
"Bit of help?"
"Oh, for...you two, get him down. The rest of you, come with me."

"Abet distracted Sir, the island beauty is inmeasureable," " Yes i know, the whole place is great looking, but let see if it can be a challange for our new troops." "Should i give the order sir?" "Yes, make it so,"
Three large transport ships carring at least fifty each blasted their engines toward the paradise before them. "Alright ladies!" The Major yelled, " Lets put on a show for our friends down there!"
Each of the monsters opened their doors as the expeirenced troopers leaped off, displacing their parachutes as they floated gently toward the front enterance of the training school. As soon as they landed they quickly got into their assingned squads and waited the go to move out. at that time Norman got off of his helicopter and awaited to see the man in charge, with his old outfit from the revolution still shining bright from the glaire of the sun. "Welcome to the CTC gentlemen," Coporal Chun said, bowing. Her pink hair bobbed in the sunlight, and next to her stood Major Vanzano from the Agrigentian Armed forces.
"Welcome," he said.
"If you would load your gear into the gray Humvees right there"- she pointed to the five vehicles parked there- "we will drive them to your compound. However, it is recommended that you take your goggles, field gear, and if you have any simunitions weapons with you. We will provide the rest of you supplies."
They were sent to the training course, and all given maps of the CTC's main island.
The Hudecian marines quickly formed into units as they maneouvred through the obstacle course. The glorious position of "point" quickly became a splatter sentence for the men.
Lieutenant Gamble stared around at his bunch, about the same ans his initial bunch but he had picked up 1st Sargeant Liu as well now. Sargeant Ichihara was more cautious this time around, not volunteering for any suicidal missions and not trying to be a hero.
As the group struggled through the obstacle course, they were parraleled by a second Hudecian unit and the Marimaians. Lt. Gamble directed from the middle of his unit amid the intense sniper fire coming from the woods.
The sound of whooshing blades came closer and closer as the Hudecians struggled on. Sgt. Ichihara, thanks to his experience as a helicopter pilot, knew exactly what was coming. "Helicopters!" He shouted and turned around to see the Ka-60Ms hovering towards them, their simunitions guns sticking out ominously.
"RUN FOR THE WOODS!" Lt. Gamble shouted as he took off for the nearest cover offered by the trees.

"This shit's biodegradable rite?" the flight officer asked. "How kind of Col. Tang to allow us to get revenge on the Marimaians for emptying our pocketbooks and piling on our debts."
"Yes," his copilot agreed. "NOW SPLATTER THEM!"
The Ka-60Ms opened up, huge globs of simunitions and a stream of biodegradable, water soluble, nontoxic sim-paint flew out of each helo's guns. Immediately, the Marines aboard ziplined to the ground, running the students down.

"Well, Minister Yoshida, it's really like this," Colonel Tang explained. "Being a combat man yourself, I am certain that you know how stressful combat is; my technique of teaching medium-advanced skills, and indeed, the standard for the Islandian Banner Military, is to pile on as much stress as possible, to get them accustomed to this sort of thing. Also, I believe that it helps their preparedness improve drastically; after all, the real world combat environment is a mobile, rapidly shifting one, and having them adapt on the run is undoubtedly the best idea."
"That is why we simulate the conditions as best as we can," Tien said. "Towards the middle of the sixmonth course, we have our students enter a 'real combat situation' for counterinsurgency warfare, which has been added to our curriculum recently. That means for at least two months, we have students live, work, fight, and basically exist in a combat zone for that amount of time. The combat zone is the former city of Wakano Beach, a city that fell prey to West Islandian insurgents in the Islandian wars, and it was also one of the places where Col. Tang and I first served together. We find it fitting that Wakano BEach should be the city where our counterterrorist forces of the future will learn to fight."
"Colonel Tang, Lieutenant Tien," Corporal Chun announced. "I have the contingents from Imitora and Ghajnsielem here."
The troops filed out, and were led to the crates, where they were given goggles and simunitions rifles if they didnt already have them.
"Ahh, good," Tang replied. "You're not too late for the first part, but, you have a choice; you may either begin right away, or wait a while, for the students to come back. I have some exercises that I wish to carry out."
"I hope you're all wearing full combat gear?" Coporal Chun asked. "If you're not, I have five crates of individual combatant equipment to the left, full of Islandian issue spidersilk vests, boots, goggles, protectors, masks, helmets, and gloves."

As of now, student class sizes may be increased; the Special Operations Flight School has been made operational with the arrival of three Special Operations Air Detachments and two Training Brigades, and the Special Boat Warfare Course has been put online with the arrival of the 5th, 9th, and 97th Swift Boat Detachments and the 13th and 42nd Special Warfare Training Brigades-Naval.
That means that sailors and pilots are welcome; however, please make sure that they have at least basic qualifications in their craft; it would be advantageous to us if we could simply jump to the intermediate and advanced skills as soon as possible.

Lt. Proctor scrambled behind a tree as it was covered by simunitions. Looking around he saw that several others... including Liu and Ichihara had made it. Many others were 'splattered' and lay face down on the open field outside the wooded area, their backs covered by simunitions.
Peaking around the tree he saw that the E. Islandians were busy finishing off the remaining men out in the open... but several marines had dropped down from the helos and were chasing after the men into the woods.
"Company! As skirmishers, WITHDRAW!" Proctor yelled out above the din of battle. Immediately the remaining Hudecians formed into a skirmish formation and began slowly withdrawing.

Major Lin noticed the Hudecians withdrawing.
"You, get their attention. Yun, Hua; maintain this position. If any Islandian comes near, exercise your trigger fingers."
She quickly used hand gestures to organise her people, then summoned three soldiers over.
"Go up the trees. That canopy is probably thick enough to hide us from the helicopters, but it might not be thick enough to stop you firing at them."
They nodded and began quickly climbing. They soon reached positions which gave them a view of the helicopters, took aim and started firing.

Yoshida nodded as he listened to Tang and Tien.
"Sounds good. Colonel Zhongji will probably join the Marimaians for any other field exercises if that's okay; he usually trains alongside the rest of our anti-terror personnel back home. It's only fair; never ask anyone to do something if you're not willing to do it yourself. Who knows, if things look fun I'll probably jump in myself."
"Sir, the Marimaians are trying to take out the helicopters." Liu reported as Proctor hustled by after having done a head count.
"We've also got snipers hitting us from further in the woods... I'd like permission to organize some groups to probe ahead further to get an idea of what's out there..." Ichihara added as he dashed up to meet them.
"Do so, but do it quickly." Proctor replied kneeling down to speak with them. "Liu will take five and will cover our rear, Ichihara, grab 7, make 4 groups of two and scout ahead... watch for booby-traps. I will take the remaining 15 as a main body and will move forward towards the end of this madhouse."

Sgt. Kim grunted as simunitions whizzed by her head. She slid behind a tree, watching Cpl. Qu move past a log and take up a new firing position. Things were getting tense as the students returned fire.
Meanwhile, the helicopters faced a hail of Simunitions, so as a solution, they simply began opening up with their splatter cannons on any moving targets.
However, one of the Ka-60Ms was forced down due to too many splots on the armored windshield.
Aung sighted through his rifle, zeroing in on a woman's profile from what he thought was the Marimaian group. He had vaguely seen their camouflage before, and he thought that the pattern was theirs, so he opened fire on the woman.
Maybe that would be Major Lin, he thought. Wouldnt mind hitting her with a paintball...or in bed.
Tang frowned and consulted his watch. It was getting to be seven minutes.
"Another two minutes?" Tien asked. "They should be out by then."
Tang nodded.
"Naw, if its all the same, I'd like to unload the goods first," the seargent said, tossing his thumb back towards the MD-15. He spoke with a Texan accent, and wore a black ropper style cowboy hat. He also wore a pair of reflective aviator sunglasses.
"Oh, I'm Sgt. Danny Hopkins, First Air Special Operations Unit, Second Devison, Alpha Company. Just like the US's First Air Cav, except we kick even more ass, and Second Alpha's job is just a bit different." He smiled broadly, and held out his hand to the Islandian.
Behind him, the other men had started off loading goods in large metal crates.

Kelly Wang, the leader of the group, an experienced soldier, and the only Taiwanese one who could speak fluent English was trying to teach the others how to play chess to pass the time. It was hard work making the men listen to her, especially since she was a woman.
There were four men in the group. One of them stood out from the others on the aircraft like a sore thumb - his name was Charles Goodman, one of the few New Zealanders living in Taiwan, and the only Kiwi in the armed forces. She glared at Sgt. Yun and then noticed the splodge on her rear end.
"They've gone too far now. We'll split up; half of you keep them occupied, the rest of you follow me."
As Lin and her group dived low to avoid detection as they moved, the remaining Marimaians began firing in the direction that the original shot had come from, slowly moving forwards to a new position every few feet. Meanwhile, Lin led her group in an attempt to get behind the Islandians who were now exchanging fire with the decoy group. Ichihara's group (after untangling themselves from several booby-traps) reached the end of the obstacle course first. Immediately he ran back to Proctor while posting sentries to fight off the snipers which had been splattering most of the men.
"Motion to the Marimaians that we are reaching the end of the course. Perhaps we should all make a break for the end while we can." Looking at his watch he saw that it was almost 9 minutes into this test.
1st Private Anderson hustled off in the direction of the Marimaians, although his excitement was tempered by the fact that he had a huge welt forming on his thigh from a simunitions hit.

Hua noticed the Hudecians' signalling and took the initiative.
"Charge!"
Major Lin's group heard him and decided to break for it; revenge could be had another time. The Marimaians charged towards the end of the course; several of them were taken out by simunition shots, but enough of them made it to the end to be declared a moral victory.

"Hallo," Lt. Tien replied, shaking the man's hand. "Glad to have you with us."
"I see that the obstacle course is over," Tang muttered to himself. "Not bad though, ten minutes thirty seconds."
"Corporal Chun, please have the drivers transport the Imitoran gear to their compound," Major Zhu said. He handed them all some maps. "The student compounds are situated by the beaches on the west side of Quang-ti Island, and there are a sizeable amount of ferries and trains that take you either onto the neighboring islands or into Wakano City."
"After this, we were going to take you guys down to our firing range and fitness course," Tien announced. "It's within walking distance, only about half a klick, but if you want to get settled in first, then you have about two and a half hours to do so."
"Our next order of the day would be daily exercises, which we leave up to each individual group to do as they see fit," Tang explained. "The thing is, however, you must show proficiency in all of said exercises, which include speed, proficiency in unarmed, knife, and improvisation combat, accuracy wiht weapons, and speed of mind."
"If you need anything by the way of Simunitions weapons, then please tell us," Corporal Chun added. While she disliked being a quartermaster's assistant at the CTC and an occasional instructor, nonetheless, she took her job seriously, and her pink hair hardened into spikes as she spoke. "Oh, and breakfast is after exercises, at 830, then comes classroom work and field study at 915, and then comes lunch at 12, and then a scenario for today at 130, and then two hours of free time at 430, dinner at 630, two hours of free training, and then you guys are off for today. This schedule will be the one implemented for the first two months, and what comes afterwards is a surprise."
The gear fromt he Imitorans were loaded onto the Humvees and they were all driven to their compounds. The rest of the students headed for the fitness center and shooting range, which included a track, another obstacle course with pop up targets, shoothouses, a huge gym, and a grassy field for large scale exercises.
"Judging from the angry splotch on your behind, I see that you have a secret suitor, Major Lin," Tang said smugly. "I wonder who it is."
Tien raised his hands in surrender. "Dont look at me," he said. "I have a wife already."
Zhu just laughed, and watched as the shooters in the forest loaded onto several Ka-60Ms. One of them, dressed in a multi-spectral battle suit, was Captain Aung, and he flashed them a thumbs up sign as his helo flew by, a grin on his green-painted face.

Yugolsavia, I only accept groups of fifty. You can, however, send 50 CT operatives, 50 pilots, and 50 sailors to the CTC. IF you need further assistance, I can send training brigades to bases in your territory.
Vanguard Knights, I will try to comply with your order as best as possible, but if you can send 50 pilots, 50 sailors, and 50 soldiers, than that would be greatly appreciated.

Captain Chien watched as the Taiwanese plane set down on the airstrip. He greeted the Taiwanese as Corporal Chun helped them load their bags into the Humvees.

He spoke a few quiet words to Major Zhu, who nodded and passed along his comments to Lt. Tien.

Greetings,
We would like to take your nation up on the offer of training to train some specialists who will in turn come back to Iuthia and train our Black Vipers further in the art of dealing with terrorism... so far we consider our tactics to be very efficient... however we can always improve.
What information will you require from us?
Thanks

We request the number of specialists that you are sending, and to which branch of the CTC they will be attending (Counter Terror, Naval Special operations, Air special operations). Also, we would like a detailed history of some major CT operations you have undertaken in the past for analyzation and possible incorporation into our training scenarios.

The Imitorans went ahead with the instructions, and within minutes had their barracks set up the way they wanted to. The MD-15 set down outside the compound, and the pilot and co-pilot leaned against the aircraft, both wearing black cavalry hats, and one smoking a cigar.
However, the group, once unpacked, left the compound, and started off in a light jog to the firing range and obstacle course, weapons slung over their backs, in full combat gear.
The First Air Special Operations Unit still used the older M41As, as they thought they were just as good as the M51s, and the unit had been using them from the start. They humped out the half a mile run easily, and arrived at the compund after a nice 4 minutes.
Sweating lightly, and hardly out of breath, the seargent stepped forward. "So, where do you wnat us to start?"

Tang took a bite of his lemon bar. "Well, we were planning to have you guys start up your routine with a little firing and physical training, you know, with unarmed combat and whatnot. For today, we were planning to see what sort of unarmed combat and weapons you guys all use, and see how we could come up with a way to evaluate, improve, and assess your unarmed combat capabilities."
As he spoke, Tien brought out an array of weapons, including fake rubber knives, padded bats, cudgels, metal objects. Next to him, Zhu wheeled in two large carts laden with sparring gear, which included fingerless gloves, flakvests, headgear, mouthguards (for each to keep), groin and women's chest protectors.
"Take your time," Tang said. "You have about an hour and a half to warm up before we would like to see ur unarmed skills in action."

As the Taiwanese plane set down on the runway, the islandian vehicles drove out to meet them. Capt. Chien spoke fluent Mandarin in addition to Islandian, and he had served in Taiwan during the Bonstock War as part of a Zero Team which infiltrated Maropian Coast.
"Greetings," he said to them as they stepped off the plane. "Welcome to the Counter Terrorism College."
Corporal Chun helped them load their bags into the Humvees.

Charles extended his hand to Chun. "Unarmed combat? I'm looking forward to this."
The Hudecians looked at one another uncertainly. Hand to hand? Sure they had received basic training on it... this is a knife... stab here and enemy will die, stab here and enemy will scream in pain.
"I thought it was official Hudecian policy that should the enemy be that close then we're all screwed?" Ichihara jokingly whispered to Lt. Proctor beside him.

Major Lin looked disturbingly happy as she handled one of the cudgels.
"Now THIS is more like it."
She began practise swings as the other Marimaians looked through the equipment on offer. Yun nudged Soryu as they inspected the padding.
"This should be great...you're fighting her, by the way. None of us want to risk it; after what happened on the obstacle course she might want to castrate someone."
A HMMVW pulled up at the fitness center; Colonel Zhongji climbed out and thanked the driver before heading in with some workout gear in a sports bag. Minister Yoshida had received a call from the Vice-Premier about something or other, so he had left him to it. He looked around, located Tang and Tien, then marched up with a grin.
"Permission to join the Marimaians requested, if you don't mind."

"Captain Aung better stay away from here," Tang whispered to Tien. He nodded, and motioned for Zhu to find him, when the Islandian, dressed in full combat gear, entered the room.
"Reporting as ordered," he said, saluting awkwardly as he was padded and armored wiht at least three-four layers of padding.
Tang's eyes widened. "What brings you here, Captain?" he asked. "I thought I told you NOT to enter, especially after what happened yesterday with the foul ups and what not."
Aung smiled. "But the Marimaians and I have already settled our differences. Right guys?" he asked Major Lin.
At that minute, Colonel Zhongji walked in and asked to join his comrades. Tang nodded, and watched as they set up, with Aung facing, of all people, Major Lin, who held a cudgel in her hand.
An UNPADDED one.
"GET THAT AWAY FROM HER!" Tien screamed, a second before she closed with Aung.

"It's really like this," Captain Amuro said, demonstrating to them a throw, with the hapless Capt. Leung as a model. He landed on the mats, hard, and sighed. His bat lay several meters away.
"Close combat is really to disarm and take out your opponent quickly, and as fast as you can," Amuro explained. "The fact of the matter is that, despite our training and background as soldiers, there are times when we will have to act in disarming dangerous criminals, as if in a police capacity, and we fully intend to teach that.
"Sgt. Kim, if you please," she said, turning it over to the Marine sergeant.
"Now it is time for some of the applications," Kim replied. "Remember, dont try to memorize everything; just go with the flow, duck, and dont get hit-too hard."
She tossed out padded weapons to the first pair.
Two of the Marines caught their padded weapons, and looked at each other obligingly. THis was basic level stuff, they were really here to just show off.
As the first Marine, Pvt. Adnrew Bradsfield charged, he brought the padded weapon up, and swung down and across. The other Marine, Cpl. Mike Sano, ducked as teh weapon went over his head. He came up with a right, and connected, sending Bradsfield flying. His body landed hard, and he laid on the mat, fairly motionless.
Sano charged in for the kill, and brought his foam padded weapon down hard. However, Sano soon found himself on the ground, tripped up by bradsfield's legs, with a knife, a real knife, inches from his throat.
"You loos," Andrew said jokingly.
For now, Kelly and Charles just watched as the other soldiers beat the living daylights out of each other. For training of course. Kelly was secretly hoping to be asked to do something - she was the modest, shy type who pretended to be tough most of the time.

Zhongji smiled at Lin as she handed him the unpadded cudgel and picked up a padded bat.
"Something wrong Major?"
"Please sir, give me just five minutes alone with that guy. I'll make it look like natural causes."
"I know that some Islandians can come across as a bit arrogant sometimes, but I don't think that he deserves a beating for it. Come on, we'll partner up so you can work out some aggression on me for a while."
The Marimaians stopped what they were doing and stood around the mat to watch their senior officers duke it out. Every time Lin swung, Zhongji seemed able to avoid the strike and attempted a blow of his own, which was in turn avoided by Lin. When they finally made contact, it soon turned into a stalemate with both of them blocking the other expertly.
"Damn, you've been trained too well Major. How am I supposed to be your superior if I can't beat you?"
"Come on Colonel, you can finish this anytime."
Lin suddenly dropped to the floor, swept Zhongji's legs out from under him and straddled him, weapon raised to strike his face. Zhongji smirked.
"Very good Major. There's just one problem with your performance."
"What's that?!"
Zhongji grabbed her ankle and yanked hard, causing her to fall back; he quickly knocked her weapon away and held her down.
"Concentrate on your opponent, not on someone else. Your heart was in it, but your head wasn't. I dare say that you would have won if you had been more focused."
Zhongji got up and helped her to her feet, then turned to the assembled crowd.
"Enjoy the show? Good, because now I want similar performances from all of you."
The Marimaians paired off and began hand-to-hand. Zhongji took the opportunity to talk to Captain Aung.
"Captain, I don't know if you've realised it or not, but we Marimaians can get a bit proud sometimes. If you want to be friendly with Major Lin, you should allow her to get you back for what you did to her."

Zhu grabbed Aung roughly and hauled him out the door, carrying the bigger man easily. He deposited him on the rough floor and closed the door.
"Colonel Tang told me to do this," Zhu said, before raising a huge cudgel and bringing it down.
Aung closed his eyes. Luckily, the cudgel crashed down next to him, landing on a cushion and making a loud sound.
"This is the part where you scream," Zhu hissed through clenched teeth. "Pretend, toya!" (Islandian for idiot)
Aung screamed at the top of his lungs.
Zhu kept hitting the mattress as hard as he could and hoped htat Major Lin wouldnt come in.

"Easy, eh?" Tang whispered. He nodded to Tien.
"Wait in here a little while guys," Tien shouted out. "We're getting some protein and energy bars."
The two walked out towards the observation station and signaled to the Marine major who stood in the control room. He pressed a button, and immediately, all lights were cut.
Stun and smoke grenades poured down through the vents. A crate left in one of the carts was actually a large flashbang, rating in at one kilo, and made a huge explosion. Light and darkness raced and intertwined with a confusing twist, and anyone in there, including the trainers, found themselves blinded and deafened, although the sound and audio charges were modified to make them less damaging and definitely not permanent. Hidden triplines sudden swung tight and swept across the room in arcs, tangling up instructors and trainees alike.
Afterwards, troops in combat gear (minus small arms and survival equipment) rushed in with the lights still off, fighting the students in hand to hand combat.
"MORE OFTEN THAN NOT, YOUR ENEMY WILL HAVE THE UPPER HAND!" Tang shouted through the loudspeakers. "AND IF YOU THINK THIS IS BAD, WAIT TILL WE BRING OUT THE PUKE CANISTERS!"
"Kelly-san," Chun said politely. "Would you like to spar someone? I'm certain that you will do fine, and if you want, just ask anyone from another group. I mean, it's a great opportunity to do something."

Sgt. Kim grabbed who she thought was Zhongji; before the lights went out, she could remember seeing him standing in the far left corner.
"Shh, it's me," she whispered into his ear as he tensed up. "Come this way, I kno how we can get out.
"And no, not all Islandians are as arrogant as you think they are," she added.
The Imitoran Marines reacted quickly, rolling to the floor away from teh explosion. They moved towards the walls, and pressed small helmet mounted buttons, turnign on flashlights mounted on their shoulder armor. They popped up, and quickly went for their M41As, with mounted simunition eqipment, and opened fire on all targets that crossed the lights.
Two of the Marines tossed out bright white glow sticks, and a one a flare, igniting the room in light. They again began to open fire on any targets that they hadn't seen before the lights went off. With the lights now on, and visibility more readily available, the Marines quickly identified two shaddown moving out towards what must have been an exit, and followed them.

Capt. Aung pulled Major Lin off the man she was attacking.
"It's me," he said, ducking her blows. "Come on, I know the way out."
Before she could say anything else, he dragged her by the arm and kicked open a door.
Simunitions instantly splattered the side of the frame, a split second before Aung raced out.
"Sh*t," he said. Meanwhile, inside, the Imitorans drew their flares and illuminated the entire room. The Islandian attackers immediately drew their weapons and began to fire, darting behind shadows and reaching for paint grenades, which were, surprisingly less than effective due to the huge size of the room (think gymnasium).
Aung returned fire, crouching in the doorway, at several gunmen in the bushes outside.
As soon as the the flares lit up the Hudecians pounched from their hiding positions and opened up on any target with a simunitions weapon. The Imotorians with their flashlights made nice targets since they stood out.
Lt. Proctor was a poor hand to hand fighter but he was an excellent shot. Sgt. Ichihara was a Judo instructor, however, in the dark he accidentally pounded one or two of his own men not being able to see who they were.
As the lights were cut, Sgt. Ain, an Islandian Marine, was one of those who rushed into the building. He immediately grabbed Kelly from the back, ignoring the stinging flashes and the bursting roars of the flashbangs, and did his best to subdue her (handcuff her).

The lights snapped back on, and a klaxon sounded.
"Good job, everyone," Tang said, striding back into the gym. "Excellent, in fact," he said again, noticing the prone bodies of some of his men.

Zhongji and Kim stood to attention as their superiors found them. Yoshida summoned Zhongji over.
"Chiisu's marrying Tian."
"You're kidding?! Damn, I'd imagine things are a bit wild back there."
"They had over a hundred thousand holding a vigil outside Luozao Palace the day after the announcement. I think we all underestimated just how much the people love him. Anyway, I'm heading back to oversee the security; can you let the trainees know?"
"Yeah, no problem. Give them my best. Hua's going to be gutted to miss it."
"I wouldn't worry. With the amount of planning that'll be needed for this, you guys'll probably be home in time. Good luck Colonel, and make us proud."
The two Marimaians saluted each other, then Yoshida blew kisses to Kim and Soong before heading back to the Humvee.

Aung grinned. "Sorry about that," he said. "Ma'am. If you dont mind, I'll get you a four star dinner in Wakano City when we're off duty."
"BREAKFAST!" Tien roared over hte loudspeakers. The closest canteen was about two kilometers away, so the instructors got to their feet and checked their students, making sure that everyone was ok and calling in stretcher bearers for those who werent. Interestingly, more of the Islandian assaulters were hurt than anyone else, and most of them had to be shuttled to the nearby first-aid stations by ambulance. Most of them were groaning and cursing Col. Tang with all their remaining strength, and a few had broken arms and legs.
"Shit," Tang said, looking at the destruction that had been wrought. Even he didnt think that they would be bruised so badly.
"So much for elite, eh?" Zhu snickered. Tien slapped him over the head and bade him shut up.
"We'll just have to get better terrorists," he said.
Breakfast at the canteen was a sizzling delight of Western breakfasts of eggs, bacon, omelettes, pancakes, French toast, croissants, bagels, and pitas. Also present were dim sum served in the Cantonese style, native Islandian breakfasts consisting of steaming red rice with slivers of stewed, marinated fish, chicken, and vegetables, Japanese breakfasts of nori (seaweed), miso soup, rice, Southeastern Asian breakfasts of Indian flatbread and rice pancakes served wiht yogurt, crisp roasted pork, and roaringly spicy curry.
"Support command really pulled out all the stops on this one," Tang remarked. "They must have went through hell to bring all sorts of specialists here."
"Specialists? The guys who got beaten up in the dark gym?" Zhu asked.
"No, idiot, the cooks," Tang snarled back. "Eat quickly!" he yelled to the arriving students. "And walk it off and return to the gym in two hours!"
***************
Later that day, Tang sent out a request for three full companies of Pathet Cong Rangers and a full Sea Dragon group. Both of the requests were answered within the space of hours, and the units were shipped to the CTC via Y-8 transports.
But as the students arrived back at the gym, they found themselves split up into two groups. One was faced with various tanks of water, the type that would be found in an astronaut facility, and the other was faced with a field of posts.
"Alright," Tang said. "This will test just how proficient you are at unarmed combat. You will be fighting in water."
"And you will be fighting atop these posts," Captain Chien announced. "May the best person win."

every other day this week of RP is unarmed combat, and the other days are transportation, including rappelling, swimming through miles of surf, boating, and being choppered into various locations.
At the end of this week, they'll have to find their way back, but they will be given various supplies, including hidden caches of canoes, motorbikes, and even gliders. Also, they will have to fight for prolonged periods in the dark, underwater, atop posts and cliffs (with netting strung everywhere of course). in essence, the first examination will be of unarmed combat and movement, the two basic and essential components. Shooting and weapons practice will be required every day, but for this week, conditioning through martial arts will be stressed.

Meanwhile, the empty flight school had nothign to do, as student pilots as had arrived there. Islandian pilots practiced endlessly, driling over and over again and putting themselves into various scenarios. When all that was done, they simply socialized with the locals and lay on the beaches, enjoying the beautiful weather.
Kelly looked at the posts. "Charles," she said. "I heard you kiwis are good at climbing mountains, so maybe you'd like to go first."
"Be quiet!"
Charles looked around, hoping that Chien didn't hear her and defitnitely didn't want to volunteer.

Tang tossed the men some underwater breathing tanks, little compressed oxygen spheres the size of a marker, something that could fit quite well into one's mouth and stay there. HE also handed out various goggles, and waited for volunteers.
"IF no one's volunteering, I'll dump the lot of you into the tank and pop out the popcorn," he threatened.
"Eh, ye..um...Sure Captain."
Charles fumbled with his safety gear clumsily, and began climbing onto the post.
"So who wants to take me on?"

Major Lin stepped forward at Tang's words.
"I'll go first. Perhaps you should get in there with me, to show everyone how it's done. If not, I'll take on Sgt. Yun."
Yun shrugged. "No problem."
The two Marimaians got into the tank and began. Lin was a much better swimmer than Yun and had a definate speed advantage, although Yun more than held his own. After some blows were landed by both, Lin managed to get behind Yun and locked herself around him, legs tightly wrapped just above his waist. He tried to stop her from getting her arms around his neck, but she was too quick. With her arm pressing against his carotid artery and no way of escaping, he signalled surrender.
The two of them climbed out and shook hands.
"If it had been armed combat, I'd have beaten you."
Lin smirked. "In your dreams, sergeant."
Lt. Proctor, seeing the Taiwanese, decided to challenge him. "Might as well get this over with," he muttered to himself as he got his gear on to challenge Charles.

The days whittled by slowly, and the recruits soon found themselves storming an airliner. (OOC thought this would be fun, so here goes).
The airliner was a Boeing 767, parked in the west airfield. A perimeter had already been secured, with Islandian Border Police, and intelligence highlighted the fact that there were about thirty-forty terrorists aboard, with around a hundred fifty hostages. Also present were thirty tons of 'high explosive' which would be detonated in case the CT operatives were found storming the plane.
THe students were given weapons and disembarked on the practice field, by the perimeter. Any negotiators were told to go ahead and to try their luck at talking the terrorists into surrendering.

Vanzano and several other Agrigentian instructors were crouched in elephant grass, just outside the visible perimeter.
Meanwhile on board the plane were fifteen more instructors each armed with automatic weapons. They keep a constant vigil on the hostages, and on the known entry points to the plane, shuttling up and down the aisles in alert patrols, and shifting positions every several minutes.
OOC: guys, keep the R.L girl troubles confined to RL
Kelly and Charles arrive at the scene shortly after the post-fighting activity. Charles was a bit sore, and had a large bruise on his arm, so Kelly decided to take charge for this activity.
"So.."
She turned to the others on her side and seeking to free the 'hostages'.
"Any ideas?"

Zhongji considered the situation. "Best case scenario would be drawing them off the plane and then dealing with them."
Lin shook her head. "Alternatively, we could negotiate with them to let the hostages off. Once the last hostage leaves, we blow up the plane. The aircraft can be replaced, and the terrorists were going to die anyway."
Zhongji looked horrified. "That is why you have superiors, Major. To prevent stupid risks. We have no idea exactly how many hostages are on that plane, so how do we know when the last one leaves?"
Lin scowled. "The needs of the many..."
"Outweigh the needs of the few, I know the mantra. That doesn't mean I live by it though. No, in this situation those terrorists must be subdued before going in. Maybe flashbangs or tear gas, the only problem is how do we distract them long enough to get people to the plane without being noticed?"
Yun raised his hand. "What if I go out there to negotiate, while you surround the plane? That way, we can find out what they want while showing them that we're not storming the plane. It should put their minds at ease and give us time to play with."
Zhongji nodded. "It's worth a try."
"Likely they won't want to negotiate a release," Lt. Procter said finally. "I don't think they would have made it that easy."
"However, we do need to find out the location of the hostages, so if we could get close enough or even onto the plane, we could place a bug and figure out from there. If the bug is found however, they'll likely just start shooting hostages."
"So lets consider for a moment that this is a real hijacking and assume that the 'terrorists' will react in the same way as they would in reality. They have demands, if they didn't, the hostages would be dead already. So, lets play on that, see what they want, play for time, move troops into positions, and hope we get a lucky break."
"This is why we have the first," one of the Marines said, looking over the situatuion.
"Yeah, GhostSkin armor and those MD-15Ks always get the job done. And .50cal caseless rifles too. Cant stop those."
The Marines took a back seat to the procedings, and began toying with their M41As. Hostage rescue was not part of the specialty of the unit, and their only solution was to blow the plane with the hostages already on board. But that wasn't the right answer, and they had nothign else.

"Does anyone have those heat sensor equipment? If someone does we could be able to detect movement of hostages and terrorists by watching the moving heat patterns." Proctor asked.
OOC: I guess you already know but I'm not going to be able to do much in this thread... I just don't think I have the willpower to try and keep up with the roleplay right now as I'm trying to keep things simple.

"Does anyone have those heat sensor equipment? If someone does we could be able to detect movement of hostages and terrorists by watching the moving heat patterns." Proctor asked.
Hua checked his bag. "Got it here!"
After some fumbling with the equipment, he got it working and tried discerning the plane's occupants.
"Uh, it's not really that clear from this distance. I'll have to get closer."
Zhongji sent him and three Marimaians to try and get a closer look without being seen. They returned after a few minutes.
"I reckon there's maybe twenty terrorists at the most. Hostage numbers are another story; it looks like they're all in their seats, but it's like a big mass to me. If anyone wants to try a better look, have a go."
"We need to somehow get onto or close to the plane without alerting them. The back of the plane is a blind spot so we could hustle under the plane from there." Proctor thought for a moment.
"Could we somehow drill our way up into the plane without them hearing?"
"Of course," one of the Marines spoke up, "we are assuming they are totally blind. For all we know, there could be tangos in the terminal or of int he distance watching through binocs or somethign. Ya know, got a radio, and if we make any move, they call in, and bingo, good bye Gracie."
"I know thats what I'd do," another Marine said, looking at the plane in the distance. "I'm saying we go antique. Pull out the old goods. Ya know, the blockers and the Nighthawks. Negotiate until we can get them up here."
HE looked around for approval.
Kelly thought hard. She hadn't done something like this since she was 17 and in the PLA.
"Back in my good ol' PLA days," she said. "We'd take the plane down our-"
She stopped herself before making a fool of herself.
"Good points. When we move it should be at night, and we should lock down the entire area surrounding the plane in the meantime." Proctor responded.
"Still, while we are setting up here, someone should go and try to talk with them.... so who wants to be in the first negotiating team?"

The instrcutors shrugged.
The terrorists are part of the Westshire International Liberation Front, a group of terrorists dedicated to spreading "the revolution" all over the world and supposedly dedicating their lives to the proletariat. They are extremely hard line Marxists, and have been known to execute hostages in the past. The airliner is wired to blow, and entry points are:
1) cargo bay
2) through special access wells in the landing gear and in the tail
3) through top and side escape hatches
4) through window emergency exits
5) anywhere else on a 767 you can think of
Most of these are being patrolled by Agrigentian instructors.

"Counter terrorism forces are life SAVING, not life TAKING organization," Tang said to the Imitorans. "This is a test; if you pass, then you will move on. If you fail, the entire group will stay behind, and learn it over again. The only way to not pass is to quit, or if you blow the airplane WITH hostages aboard."
"In other words, rescue them," Corporal Chun said, fiddling with her commset. "One of our men has established contact with the terrorists, who claim that they are part of the Westshire International Resistance Front. If any of the hostage negotiators would step forward and try their hand at speaking to them through this phone=" she held up a wireless red phone -"then you're welcome to."
"Intel indicates there are thirty-forty terrorists aboard the plane, with a possible amount who have escaped and are hiding in the grass fields. We will give any snipers multi-spectral battle camo, if they require it, and any sniper rifles, if they dont already have them. Knockout gases, flashbangs, fiberoptic probes, weapon mounted cameras, any of those, we have them too. But hurry up; their demands must be met in three hours, or else they'll start 'executing hostages,'" Tien announced.
"the entry of a demolition specialist team is needed," Tang replied. "Cause the thing's wired to blow."

The terrorists had called for a bus and the immediate liberation of all Westshire-connected prisoners within Islandia, Agrigento, Imitora, and Taiwan. Aboard the plane were 'hostages' of multiple nationalities, aboard an international flight.
Islandian Border Guard units, keeping a tight perimeter, were instructed by Tang to relax their closure and let a few of the 'terrorists' slip through and take up positions outside the plane, for a nasty little surprise.
"While you are talking, I'll get some snipers to watch for terrorists in the grass." Proctor thought for a moment. "Smoke screen... any pyros here?"

"Been watching SWAT much?" one of the Imitorans mumbled jokeningly, getting a laugh from his team mates. "I dunno about you guys, but where we are from," he held up his rifle, based on the Colt armalite serries, but not quite the same, "but this here weapon was made to kill."
One of the other men laughed. "Anyways, your forgetting the simple solution. When on the ground, all aircraft have several connector points for power cords, gas lines, the like. However, O2 connecters are what we are after. See, each aircraft keeps a good suply of O2 cannisters on bored. Where do you think the air from thos little baggies comes from when the plane decompresses? All we have to do is plug into the O2 switch, pump the jet full of sleeping gas, and walk on, pop the bad guys in teh head, then walk off. We can move in on a MH-60I with the dampeners. It can hover right over the plane, and no one would be abel to hear it with the sounds dampeners."
The other Imitorans looked at the oepratives, waitign for a response. In Imitora, terrorists were never negotiated with, and the plane would have already been destroyed. Of course, on home soil, Metro and STAR units delt with terroritsts, not the military. "Anyways, they can release the priosners in Imitora, in 15 minutes tehy'd all be dead anyways."
