Good evening all.

The Nation of Limavady is looking to expand all military areas, we wish to increase our military and provide better weapons for soldiers. We are also looking to try and purchase some "super weapons" such as SCUDs and nukes. Tanks and planes are also required as our current amounts are lower that we would like.

Defence of our people is the number one factor in this, although we may be hard on certain issues, our main policies are always to benefit our people.

Obviously all help in this is appreciated and we would therefore offer full support to those who do aid us in whatever conflicts they may have. Limavady has a good ecomony and therefore have finances to purchase a lot of these items.

The Rebublic of MaLOTANIATION is fully prepared to back you up and we have a reserved a place for your country in one of our space colonies.

Uhh, Scuds are not superweapons. Scuds are possibly the worst modern missile you can choose to deliver any kind of weapon period. They have awful range, they rarely hit within 5 miles of their target, and basically, their only redeeming value is that they're cheap. Please, just because they're called superweapons on "Command and Conquer" doesn't mean they actually are.

Scuds are cheap (reasonably) long range missiles. That makes them highly effective for a small nation like this which would like some sort of deterrent.

Giant rock. This wonderful weapon can be hurtld at an enemy at amazing speeds. It can cause damage in the tens of dollars. It even makes a cool crashing sound as it crushes the enemy.

OK fine so our scientests are a wee bit um stupid and our people consider a shiny object to be a turn on.

You are right, they aren't a 'super' weapon. They are sort of like a [very]poor man's cruise missile. They are inaccurate, sure, but the really nice missiles cost more than his nation can afford. The scuds are probably more like a stopgap measure until his economy has improved to the point that he can afford ICBMs and other such long range missiles.

OOC: But isn't it better than Limavady claiming to want the "latest and the bestest" weapons money can buy? That player is being very realistic.

OOC-It is better that he's using Scuds, I'm just thinking the superweapon designation might lead to misuse of the weapon. I believe there are several nations on here who do have some kind of cheap, but accurate Scud-ranged weapons out there. As a nation of his size, getting some old Patriots or HAWKs would probably be a good idea, gives him some defense. Seriously, most people on here don't give a hoot in hell about deterrent, and if you threaten them with WMDs or ballistic missiles, will just use that as an excuse to nuke you. Better to get defenses.

if you have a few 100 million to throw away, you can get a few cheeper outdated ICBMs (i have no clue where the store front thred went)
I usually make my own ICBMs, and update them as my tecnology improves.
I usually mine all my own uranium (i have gotten mining contracts from other nations, in exchange for military aid)
If yer too lazy to mine, buy it outright.
you may not need ICBMs right now, so why now modified rockets, landmines, RPGs, and such that are nucular?

New Empire can I just say, I am new to "this world" and so am trying my best to work out everything that I am to do in order to make my nation great. Remember, you were new once aswell and didnt know anything. :P

Vrak yes I am trying to be realistic about this, my nation is small, new and therefore unable to splash out on millions of dollars worth of gear, we start small and build up.

OOC-Limavady, I'm not saying you don't know how to play. From what I've seen, you do. Although when I was a n00bie, I was a statwhore, because I researched everything on FAS. This is not a good thing, being a Statwhore, but I'm just making sure you understand what a Scud is.
