I am Rachel Smith! CoreWorlds and Corneliu announces today that they will begin testing on the brand new SFB-22. The hope of this is to test the superiorty of this space Fighter bomber. This is what General Carlson had to say at a undisclosed location.

"We're really proud that we are still proceding with these tests despite the threat of war that looms over us. It is our opinion that these bombers will be the best possible. There probably are better bombers out there but these are our bombers and they'll be a great asset to our space forces."

That was General Carlson with his thoughts on the the fighter! This has been a RNC Alert!

The SFB-22 is a space superiority fighter/bomber that is to enter our young space forces as the first offensive space-based weapon ever. Powered by 2 Pratt & Whitney FE-2000 Fusion Engines (40,000 lb of thrust), and utilizes repulsarlift technology (for antigravity) recently realized in our nation, this F/B is packed with 2 wing-tipped plasma cannons and 1 nose laser cannon, and can carry a wide range of ordnance from missiles up to 1 5,000 lb bomb. This is just the first step in creating our Space Forces, and plans are being made for more craft.

mmm..plasma cannons we can help you with that CorpSac fighters are armed with the more powerful Plamsa Bolter Cannon (40mm to be direct) . not a large space taken infact somewhat smaller then most Plasma Cannons.If you wish CorpSac can help you incorporate this into your design.
see were as Plasma Cannons fire a charge of Plasma the plasma Bolter fires a Solid bolt round with a plasma couting and charge giveing it that much punch when hitting armor. but it gets more complex.

Actually CorpSac! It was a joint Developement of our three nations. However, he decided to launch an espionage raid in my country and got burned for it. Tensions were strained but now seem to be on the road to recovery. He can rejoin the project IF HE SO CHOOSES! He'll be welcomed with open arms.

I'll agree but under a contract signed, he gave us the rights to help produce it and test it. As such and under international law we can do this. We do want him to join us for this.

I made a word there stand out and that was HELP but what it looks like here is that your testing it for your own means. if you were helping you would have mentioned his name but you didnt mutiply times only Coreworld reconsied his project. therefor if i do any deals it will be with The Fedral Union that includes mutiply techs that you may not have for that fighter.

Be advised Corpsac that at the time of that announcement, war was about to erupt between his nation and mine. He was also threatening blockade of me and CoreWorlds said he'll break it if necessary, straining that relationship. In response, CoreWorlds and I decided to procede with the project because we had the rights to do so. However, since tensions are now becoming more lax, we INVITE Fedral Union to join us in testing.

Actually it was more than OOCly. I do want to work with you again Fedral Union. We do work quite well together. I was hoping that we can patch things up further and develope this together as we first promised to do. As I told you in a Telegram, your free to come if you want too.

I hereby aknowledge that this project was the brain child of The Fedral Union. We couldn't have come so far without his help. It is my wish that, because he is the brainchild of this, that he takes over the testing cycle here at our testing range.

I always enjoyed an audience. I alone can't make this go according to plan. You know how things happen. We have the best mechanics here to make sure nothing goes wrong with the planes but even they are only human. I think the best way to start is a sea trial followed by the air trials. What do you want to do for the sea Trials?

Yes. It could lead to an improvement in carrier operations. This could eliminate the need for arrestor wires and hooks. That'll lead to better ship conditions and possibly more carrier aircraft.

"Good Morning Mr. Secretary," General Carlson said as he approached the Observation Building that house the Space Traffic Control Center. "It appears that everything is in readiness for the tests. Shall we begin?"

He enters the building with the Secretary and heads to the Main Control Center, the nerve center of the entire complex.

In side mission control, General Carlson starts to issue orders

"Ok people, the tests are about to commence. I want everything recorded. Clear the skies around here of uninvited guests and yes your allowed to shoot down any plane that violates the No Fly Zone without warning. Fedral Union is set to go. Navy, notify our carrier and see if they're ready too."

Moments later, a thumbs up from a petty officer announced readiness.

"Good. Mr. Secretary? Would you like to begin the test?"

On the UFS Nexus, the first planes launch from the deck. On the Dictator, one of the prototypes launches and moves towards the planes off the Nexus

Back at HQ, General Carlson and Bester continue to watch the screens.

"There they are," Carlson said as he looks at the screens. "So far so good. Now how should we procede from here? I want these tests to be the best test possible. That means, I want to put them through there paces and take them to the max that they can handle without losing a single plane."

"Eric, call up the testing ground. Ask them if the targets are all up. If they are, tell them to find a hole to crawl into because its time for artellary practice."

Seconds later, the confirmation came back.

"Very good. SFB-22s! This is Orgami Space Traffic Control. The Artillery Range is set up for ya. Make Crater."

The planes moved towards the range and begins to test the weapons systems.

"Have Range contact me as soon as its done Eric."

The first test is commencing.

The planes begin to drop artillery on the grounds.

"Sir, Range Control is saying we're making a mess over there and they asked us to call off the second wave so they can clean things up."

"Tell them if they want to do that, then they can do it during the second wave but I wouldn't recommend it. Have the planes move to range 2 and destroy it."

The planes in wave 2 move on and begin to destroy the second Artillery range.

They continued to watch the speed test as planes continue to do their thing.

"Ok now let us have some fun. Mike, send them over to the terrien following test. Its time we stop beating around the bush. They should know how to fly an agility test so lets have some fun with it. Its time for the Agility Test."

When the order was give, the planes vered off and headed to the Agility test range.

"This is Meteor 1 to fighters. Follow me and stay in close. This is one dangerous test and we've lost planes and pilots because of it." He laughs as he said the last part and dives down into the test range.

"He's going to kill himself one of these days by showing off." Major Jones retorted.

"He might but he is also the best pilot around here."

They watch as he leads the planes around the agility course.

The planes continue down the agility course, when Meteor 1 fires off a missile and destroys a freakin target.

"Forgot to mention! We have hidden targets here too. Don't worry, they're practice ones but you still need to get them before they get you." He's laughing Histericlly.

"When this is done, I want to talk to him." General Carlson said.

"Yes sir."

They continue down the very long course.

"Should be! They're Fusion powered so we don't have to worry about much. Just make sure that the reactor is secured and we're set to go. They should be about done with this test. When it is, what test do you want to do next?"

When the code was issued, Meteor 1 pealed off and sat up for an attack run on the other fighters.

"Code 42 heh. Alright, dogfighting time whoooooopiiiiiiii!"

"Let's buzz them!" The commander shouted between his crew.
"Yeah!" Whooping and howling, the five fighters lit their afterburners, and buzzed past the other fighters, turned on a dime, and lit their powered-down lasers at the 'bogeys', and finally peeled off, daring the others to chase them.

In the middle of the testing, a shuttle is orbiting.

"This is Lunstar State Government Shuttle Williams! We request insertion permission and landing clearance. We would love to observe these tests if at all possible."

"This is Orgami, you are cleared to enter atmosphere and landing permission is granted."

"We thank you."

The Lunstar Shuttle enters the atmospher and prepares to land.

In the middle of the testing, a shuttle is orbiting.

"This is Lunstar State Government Shuttle Williams! We request insertion permission and landing clearance. We would love to observe these tests if at all possible."

"This is Orgami, you are cleared to enter atmosphere and landing permission is granted."

"We thank you."

The Lunstar Shuttle enters the atmospher and prepares to land.

A represtative from the base met the shuttle as it landed.

"Welcome Governor. Its an honor to meet you. How are things on the Moon."

"Things are Light as a feather." the governor stated laughing. "No seriously now, things couldn't be better. The domes are still standing and businesses are booming. We're here to look at these brand new fighters."

"Need them for your Guard Forces?"

"Pretty much."

"Well this is your billet. Freshin up and someone will escort you to the Observation Building."

"Thank you."

"If you excuse me sir, I must report back to the Main building."

"Let's buzz them!" The commander shouted between his crew.

Meteor 1 smiles as he sees his compatriots come calling.

"About time you got here Meteors. Now lets show CoreWorlds what we can do. Form up and engage."

Meteor squadron blasts towards the "Enemy" fighters. In seconds the break formation and attacks them.

The Dragons spy Meteor 1 and co and split off to take them one on one. The commander spots the leader of the 'enemy' and launches CG missiles at him, while diving for the fighter.
The others choose their opponent, and engage them with low-powered lasers.

"Capt. we have missiles in bound."

"Fools." Meteor 1 inverts and dodges the CG missiles and fires powered down plasma and laser barrage.

The rest of the Meteors launch a barrage of CG missiles and breaks off to regroup.

"Ok ladies and gentleman. Lets show them what we can do. Parade Formation."

The fighters form up into parade formation and set to engage again

The pilot dodges the laser and plasma assault, and radios Zack privately. "Get him off my back!"
"I'm on him!" Zack finds his commander, and fires his plasma cannons at the pursing Meteor, hoping to force him to break off.
Meanwhile, Flight 2 (William and Andrew) formed a double attack formation, keeping the pressure on an 'enemy' fighter, one of the Meteors.
Flight 3 (Sarah and Helen) broke, and utilized a slashing attack on their opponents, diving down and climbing up, respectively.

After settling in, Representative Jackson was escorted by the same person to Mission control.

When he entered, he was led to where everyone was. Moments later, he stood inside the nerve center of the whole complex.

"This place is nice. How is the testing going?" he asked as he watched the dogfight take place on the main board.

A small hovercraft contacts a Corneliu frigate in the area, and radios:
"Sorry we're late. The Defense Secretary had a lot to do, but he's here now. We also request permission to enter waters and offload him."

Meanwhile, the fighters dodged another round and Meteor 2 takes out his intended target.

"Got one got one." he screams

He quickly decelerated and the plane over shot him and he fired his laser at him.

"Shi...!" That was all he had time to say as he gets "killed" Meteor 3 however spots the trouble and fires off CG missiles at the "enemy"! When he fires, he immediately rolls out and and gains altitude.

"Well so far this is going very well." Governor Jackson replied. "How much do you think you guys are going to sell this fighter for. I think it'll be a crime shame not to put these things on the market. I think we would like to put some of these in our forces."

"Oh, I'd say about 50-100 million for allied nations, 200 or more for nonallied nations, depending on relations with them." Yusuke said, as he watched the fight. "1 billion for newbie nations, *chuckles at joke*."

This is meteor leader to fighters. I say we call this successful. Maybe its time to move on to a different test.

"This is Secretary Yusuke to Dragon and Meteor. Along with buzzing some space station that's gonna be annoyed, you might want to test your antisat capability. There are two dummy satellites that have launched while you were dogfighting, and your leaders' job is to destroy them. They are painted with a big red spot, so you can see them once you get close. That is your mission."

"Acknowledged, sir. Well, guys? Let's go!" Commander Malcolm said, and he punched the afterburners, and he and his flight pointed upwards, towards the blackness of space.

"Dragons, this is Meteor 1, Captain Thompson speaking. It time we announce our new fighters to the world and the galaxy. Let us go and buzz some stations and lets demonstrate for them what we can do. Meteor Flight, this is Meteor 1, form up on me and lets hit space."

He punches it and heads for space.

"This is Thompson to Corneliuan Space Traffic Center. We're heading for space. Keep an eye on us and tell us how we are doing."

"This is Space Traffic Center! Roger that. Becareful up there. Space is dangerous and we don't want any accidents."

"Roger. Notify Republic of Corneliu that we are coming up and we're going to buzz them.

"Roger. They'll be thrilled at that."

The fighters head for space.

The fighters buzzed past various space stations of various nations, and made sure that they didn't crash into one of the numerous satellites that clog the orbits. Commander Malcolm found the target he was looking for, the red-spotted dummy satellites, and destroyed them, then the Dragons buzzed by more space stations, giving anyone who saw a space show worthy of the Blue Angels.

"Oh now we can't have that now can we. Meteors, out do them. Airshow Protocal Blue One Alpha Three."

When the order was given, Meteor Flight formed up and performed tricks that aren't imaginable on planet. During their show, they buzzed several Space Stations of many different Nations and put on a show for everyone.

In the middle of it, they fired off missiles and took out the dummy satellites in a tightly packed group while performing a trick.

"Good job guys. Now lets return to base. I'm sure our masters would love to know that these babies are operational."

The planes headed back to the planet.

"Aww man! They beat us!" Andrew griped.
"Yes, they did, now let's head back to base." Chris said. "The Defense Secretary is going to love the new toys when they roll off the assembly line."
"Yup!" Zack agreed, and then the pilots headed back to base.

When the Meteors landed, they were met by General Carlson and Director Nichols.

"Well?" asked Nichols

"They performed suberbly sir. I believe that we can declare these things operational. Now all we need to do is qualify pilots on them and we can begin moving these around our territories."

"Very good. I'll notify Minister Williams at once. Director Nichols, I believe you have done a wonderful job on this project for which we are totally grateful."

"Your welcome. Good luck with your new toy my friend."

With that, the two men walked off.

"You guys were great." Captain Thompson stated. "It was a pleasure flying with you. Hopefully we can do this again soon."

As the pilots landed near the Meteors, the Defense Secretary was waiting for them.
"Good job, guys! I'm sure we can now start pressing them into service!" Yusuke said, beaming.
"Thank you, sir!" Commander Malcolm said, and he and his crew saluted him. "I'm sure we will see a lot more."
The SecDefense returned it. "At ease. Ok, now I have a proposition for you. Since you know more about the fighters than any other pilot in the force, how would you, and your Dragons, like to train other pilots to use these babies?"
"Well, sir. There really is no other team that could really teach the new kids how to fly them. We accept." He said, and the others nodded enthusiastically.
"Excellent." Yusuke grinned. "Now, one more thing. You're promoted one grade. Frocked, really, since we have to get the paperwork done, but Com-- -excuse me- Captain, you have done well today, all of you."
"Thank you, sir."
"Nothing to it. Now go, and celebrate!"
"Hooray!" The Dragons shouted and headed to the mess hall to celebrate.
