-Area 69, Deep within the mountains of the Holy Empire of Crossman

The lift door opened and a young technician walked up to the commander's post. "General Ida, the final phase of the testing is nearly ready."

General Ida, his hands folded in front of his face allowing only his dark glasses to be seen, a smirk creeping out from behind his hands..."Excellent. Inform the Emperor that it will be ready soon. All this hard work and money will soon have been worth it. Also inform Dr. Franz to begin the test whenever he is ready."

"Yes sir!", the technician saluted then turned and headed back into the lift.

Professor Richards, standing behind the general, let out a sigh, "Do you really think its wise to do the final test already? I mean. after what happened last time?"

Ida stood up and walked towards the lift to the test control room. He stopped and turned towards Richards, "We must complete the project. We cannot afford any more delays, so yes, despite the incident, I wish to conduct the final test. Just think, we're almost finished. We've come this far, we will succeed." And with that he entered the lift, Richards followed.

For many years conspiracy theorists have said this Area 69 is home to Crossmanian secret projects and black ops. The government has said however that the base is simply a storage facility and that there is no Area 69 or secret organization.

General Ida's office, Area 69-
Dr. Franz and Professor Richards are standing in front of Ida's desk. All three men seem pleased with the results of the final test on the vehicle.

Dr. Franz, set the data sheet down on General Ida's desk. "Final test successful, General. It is ready for field use."

"Excellent. And the pilot?", Ida asked.

Professor Richards answered, "He's doing perfectly fine. It seems we've worked ut all the kinks in the system."

Ida nodded,"Good. And the engine? It will be usable?"

"Yes. The power cable will not be neccessary. We have fixed the initial malfunctions with the engine. It will not malfunction as it almost did the first time.", Franz replied.

Richards looked down at the floor, "Yes, that was a bit of a close one. God only knows how bad the result would have been had we not shut down the system."

The general sat back in his chair, "But, in the end, here we are. Our project has turned out just as we had hoped. I will be leaving for Crossman City tonight. I am meeting Emperor Crossman at the Imperial Palace to inform him of our success. I am sure that when I return he will have given the order to begin production of the next one. Rejoice gentlemen, this is a great day for our nation!"

Emperor Crossman has just released a statement a few minutes ago concerning the strange amount of military activity near Port Crossman:

"Recently, Crossmanian scientists and military designers completed work on a project that has been kept secret from the public until now. I personally will unveil the project tomorrow."

OOC-What are we supposed to say? We have no clue what it is.

***Emperor Announces Unveiling of E-Project***

In the open field there are hundreds of people standing in front of a stage with a podium on it. Sitting on the stage are Emperor Crossman, Crossmanian Defense Secretary Tarkin, Crossmanian State Secretary Azrael, General Ida, and Professor Richards. Around the area and stage are several Crossmanian Royal Guards. In the audience are reporters, dignitaries from the other nations of Crossman Prime, and foreign military delegates.
The Emperor stands and walks up to the podium. The Crossmanians and Crossman Prime dignitaries all salute and shout, “Hail Crossman!!!”
The Emperor returns the salute, “Hail Crossman Prime!!!” He then begins to speak, “Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you here today to unveil the Holy Empire of Crossman and Crossman Prime’s greatest scientific and military achievement. After unimaginable hard work and research and billions upon billions of dollars from several nations in the region, we have completed our great E-Project! Ladies and gentlemen I give you the Holy Empire of Crossman’s General-Purpose Humanoid Decisive Combat Weapon. I give you Evangelion Unit-01!!!”

The ground suddenly begins to tremble and an enormous robot begins to rise out from under the ground. The crowd gasps.

The Emperor continues, “General Ida, head of E-Project will now answer your questions, but I will answer this one, Evangelion is not for sale!” The Emperor then turns and returns to his seat.

General Ida rises and goes to the podium ready to take on the expected torrent of questions.

OOC: Project E was not the Human Completion Project, it was part of that project. The Evangelions were the essential part of that. The Evas were Project E, not the Human Completion Project itself.

As I said, I will be making more. This is simply the first so there will be upgrades. But my Unit 01 is quite a capable war machine.

Very impressive springs to mind but what does it do?

It is a very powerful machine that is capable of taking on whole armies. Thanks to its AT Field, conventional weapons are much less effective on it than normal mechs. It has no built in weapons other than its Progressive Knife stored in a compartment on its shoulders, but does have a wide array of weapons that it can use, such as very large rocket launchers, huge rifles, and our latest in laser cannons.

Sounds absolutely splendid! Great that it's on our side as I wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of it!

First of all its 5 minutes, and second of all it has an S2 engine therefore the cable isn't needed. And I don't intend for it to be a last line of defense. OOC: I just like the series and wanted to make my own...

Well when you put it that way.... perhaps not, however those AT Fields are damn strong so it'd take you a bit of time.
