Attican Polls vote to ban religion

13-02-2004, 18:28
The most recent citizen vote in the Empire stated that 72% of the population of Attica wants to ban religion from Attica, completely.

So far, the Kaiser has not enforced this new bill.

Under extreme political pressure, the Kaiser has decided to enforce the ruling.

"In 2 days [NS], religion will be outright banned in the Empire. in 3 days, churches, synagogues, temples, mosques, et cetera, will be removed from the Empire. In 4 days, police will have the authority to break up religous meetings. I am also instructing Attikischlufthansa to offer free transport for religious people to other countries as refugees."

The Religous Advisor of the SD.

"If you want to dissolve religon, that's your buisness. But be gentle, do not storm meetings. Do not crush churches, synagogues, temples, mosques into dust. Remove them from the site and use the tempels as something else. Please send the Holy Icons and Relics to the SD in order to preserve history."

What will be the punishments for breaking these laws? In either case we would like to offer asylum to any person from the Attican Empire who would like to enjoy the freedom to practice their religion without persecution.

We will watch the situation with interest to see if our condemnation will be required.

Although we disagree with the policy, we thank the Attican Empire for being level handed and banning all religions as opposed to attacking one individual one.

We too would also like to know what will happen to the religious buildings and what the punishment will be for anyone found practicing a religion.

Alerical will accept any refugees from your country that wish to practice their own religion freely. I ask that you not destroy any of the places of worship or any of the religious items, relics that it might have. This would be a desecration of the religion. I am sure our religious community will readily accept the items. As for the places of worship, use them for something else of take all of the reusable materials from the building itself.
