On February 10th, we caught an ambassador from Indolencia hunting our official state bird, the Eclectus parrot.

Individuals convicted of this offense are normally tarred and feathered, and then pecked to death. In the entire history of our nation, only 2 individuals have previously been convicted. Our Eclectuses are revered by even our criminal element.

We contacted His Royal Highness Slothra, ruler of Indolencia, concerning this issue. Realizing that the ambassador may not have had a clear understanding of our laws, we offered Indolencia an extradition treaty, *if* we were assured that the ambassador would receieve some punishment, albeit perhaps not as extreme as that he would receive here, and *if* we received an outline of measures to be taken to ensure that this outrage does not occur in the future.

Our relationship with Indolencia had previously been cordial, and we hoped this matter could be resolved.

However, Indolencia did not respond to our offer. Our Chief War Minister, Ms. Feathery Chirpers, subsequently sent a follow-up missive. This received a dismissive response from someone named "Floyd", denying that the person we hold in custody was in fact an ambassador from Indolencia. Apparrotly, this issue is not considered important enough to be addressed by Sir Slothra.

Our citizens cry for blood. They will not stand the double indiginity of Indolencia's ambassador slaughtering our national treasure, and the additional snub of Indolencia's response to this issue.

Our beaks are sharp, and our hearts full of hatred toward Indolencia, our mortal enemy.

Technically speaking the ambassador would hold diplomatic imunity but would have had to be withdrawn (and get a good bollocking at home for being so stupid, lose his job and face charges of treasonous misconduct etc etc).

On the have side if Indolencia did RP this action then you are fully justified...

on the other hand if you are just claiming that Indolencia's ambassador did this then you really can't force them to accept this as the ambassador is Indolencia's agent and thus only Indolencia can dictate the actions of the ambassador.

Hey, man.

We here at Indolencia are all, like, really bummed hearing about that dude, but I don't think we know him.

We don't really have "ambassadors" as such. Generally our nation is represented by young people taking tours around the world. They like to take a decade or so off between getting out of school and choosing a life-path, and they learn about other places and other places learn about us. It's cool.

So this dude - I dunno if he's from here or not, but either way... our only form of official punishment is exile, so do what you need to do, with our blessing and stuff.

Hey dude... I'm just telling the truth. We don't really have "ambassadors" - that requires leaving the house, for one, and we're a very sedentary people by nature. I think maybe this dude might be from Indonesia, maybe?

I dunno... anyways, do whatever to this guy, we don't really care. War, on the other hand, is a major pain. Just let us know what you want in the war - you want some reparations or something? Some territory? Whatever it is, let us know and we can work it out. I don't even know if we have an army or anything... I mean, I think we do, but I haven't seen them around lately.

Oh, and that Slothra guy - he died like 14 years ago. But he ordered a huge bunch of stationery, and we just haven't run out yet. So we just keep his name on everything. I'm Floyd, and today is my day to answer the mail. If we can't resolve this today, then you'll have to talk to Bill tomorrow, and see what he can do for you.

Is that any way for a member of the UN to talk? I believe your status would be jeopardized if you went to war with a nation for no other reason than because you deem them "inferior" and want to "destroy" them.
