Mi-24 HINDS,100 in all,flew over from Afghanistan into Pakistan.They began to engage Military targets with there Air-to-Surface missiles.Other Hinds engaged enemy tankes on the ground with there Anti-Tank Missiles
On the ground,Hundreds of Tanks and BMP-3 Fighting Vehicles crossed the border from Afghanistan into Pakistan.The Soviet forces encountered little to no opposition towards the beginning but faced fiercer resistance later on
