Today, the honor of being the nation to begin the construction of the an International space station has been taken to heart. Credonia performed the first launch of the International Space Station, a program proposed by The Athiest Reality. Credonia is the contract space launcher for this international endeavor. Here are some facts about the first mission which is underway right now.

OOC: Again, please find another name for it. NationStates already has an "ISS". The threads are gone, but I for one still consider the station there and operable.
Credonia

OOC: bring that up with the nation that proposed it. I just launch the modules.

The Empire of Solimin congratulates Credonia on their achievment. Solimin currently has no Space Program, but are seriously considering it.

In space, a single balck satelite orbits round the world. It moves fastly and smoothly. It is on a direct orbit, however, with Credonia's ISS. As it nears, a hatch opens.

From inside, five Space Missiles are launched from the satellite. They move at great speed, unhindered from air resistance. They near the Space Station, and aim at certain bit sof it. The close, to explode.

The satellite then self destructs, using a huge explosive charge. Most of it is vaporized, and only bits the size of a bread crumb remain.

OOC:

You shouldnt know it was me, nor was there any way you would know it was me. The satellite was blank, no identifying software, nothing. It has one mission and one mission only, no transmissions.

*IC*

On earth, at a bunker in the mountains of Kazahstania, many scientists await the results of the test. They wait, eagerly.

Then, a single man enters the room. He lets rip with a brelt fed weapon, firing many rounds. No man leaves the room alive. He has already killed everyone else in the station. Then, he kills himself.

The next day, several Army trucks arrive, clear the place of bodies and leave. In the middle of nowhere, the troops hop into HMMWV's and leave. The trucks explode, the bodies charred to ash.

OOC:

Clearnign the evidence. Now, there is no-one else that knows. Later that day, btw, the troops who carried out the dirty work 'dispappeared' down a ravine.

Hah, nice try Kazakhstania but your ignored. You dont know the orbital parameters for the shuttle therefore you cant say where it is. Thats the main reason behind me not posting them. You cant locate it.

OOC:

It is on orbit until we see you arrive. Then, orbit is adjusted. Hell, we tracked the launch for ages, via outside sources.

OOC: IGNORED....you dont know its orbital perameters and you dont know where it is. Be realistic dude, without that information, you cant find it.

OOC:

Well, it ahs been on orbit waiting for the launch, monitored by satellites. Then, when launched, it is tracked via radar and satellite. Then, we follow it and use the strike satellite to close in and destroy.
All other satellites were hired.

OOC: whats your point? its worthless if you dont know WHERE the launch point is or what orbit the payload is in. Just give it up. You cant get the coordinates so dont try to say that ur RP is good cuz its not. Its imposible from a logical standpoint, and i believe anyone with a mind can easily figure that out.

Not only that, we never released a specific launch date or time for that matter

OOC: Exactly!

We have monitored Credonia, and foudn the launch sight, made obvious by the large amounts of activity.

Also, we find the loaction and look at it non stop.

I mean come on, how hard can it be to spot a shuttle taking off.

Besides, I have been here since March 2003.

And stop speakin in MSN tok cos no1 wil hve a fukin clu wot ur on about.

Space launches give off a large amount of heat, which can be detected from space by the satallites used to detect ICBM launches. Also a decent radar system (like the one at Fylingdales) can track satalites and the like, so all you need to do is look for a new object appearing within 90 minutes (or however long it takes to do an orbit) of the shuttle launch, which has the same dimensions of the shuttle.
Satalite reconnaisance photos could also be used to find the shuttle while it is on the ground, enabling the launch site to be pinpointed that way.
The only real problem would probably be manouvering the satallite into an intercept course, which would probably use a lot of fuel.

OOC: I did, and no one bothered to respond. So I am asking you politely to please change it...or at least please talk to the one who can.

Aren't you afraid of heavily armed terrorists with ICBM's? They can shoot that ISS down.

*wishes Credonia and all other nations involved in the development of this space station good luck as he sips his tea aboard The Pacific Islands' Charon Class Orbital Space Colony named Gaia*

"We must help help keep this endeavor of theirs safe from enemy attacks" the Emperor of Desudoragon muttered to the other regional leaders.
"I suggest that we focus our N1NJ4-7X Orbital Defensive Systems towards the new space station in order to shoot down any seemingly offensive satellites or crafts."
The other leaders nodded in agreement and it was done.

Holy Libertine Empire of Desudoragon

OOC: That should protect you Credonia and end the stupid arguement with Kazakhstania. BTW, our N1NJ4-7X Orbital Defensive Systems can also strike the planet's surface if need be. Plus The Pacific Islands have a large space fleet and strong allies so offensive action against us should be avoided.

Now you are RPing badly, refusing to accept losses.

You can be detected, face it. I use radar, satellites, whatever!

All useless unless you know what orbit we're in.

EDIT: and if you cant prove it, then you dont have any merit

Kazakhstania, YOU can be detected, no matter what steps you take if we try hard enough we will trace it to your government.

OOC: Kazakhstania, there is no point in your roleplaying if noone wants you to RP in the first place. And besides, what is your motive for blowing up a harmless space station still under construction, angering a lot of nations who have a combined power much larger than yours? And meanwhile leaving yourself unknown in the process so we supposedly dont know who did it, making it completely useless as a gesture of power. What are we supposed to think, "Gee, some unknown idiot doesnt want us to build a peaceful space station so they blew it up for no reason. Guess we better find something else to do.." Now that is really good RPing on your part isnt it. Let us build our station, and go find another thread to bother.

Anyway...Nice pics Credonia, that program is Orbiter right? I have it on my computer as well :)

OOC: Yeah, i agree. You need a fast system too otherwise you're stuck with huge loadtimes...i installed the hi-res textures as well, it looked great but took about an hour to load :? Have you tried noctis as well? Its more of an exploring one with no real planets, but its interesting anyway.

IC: Our science module is ready, and we are awaiting your go-ahead.

Credonia, will you launch Buran with something.....I want to be apart of it too like I said I would.....::sniff::.....

I'll try, i downloaded the buran model but its being an ass, i'll see what i can do though.
