My freinds I come for help, a group of rebles have declared theiir own inderpendance. They wish for the old regime, that kept slaves and viewed women as inferiors, to be returned. About 60,000 have broken away and they have a leader who's only know as Cyclops.There have already been attacks on refugies and people have been taken as slaves.
Aust is a moutainus country and that nature makes them hard to trake down.

Please help.

A small group of rebels consisting of 10 men and armed with ak-47s and RPG-7s slowly decend down the mountain sloop towards an Aust army watch post. The men storm the watch post without firing a shot. The men inside are not halmed but there weapons and uniforms are taken. Just as they prepare to leave the leader changes his mind and decides to take prisoner the Aust Army Soldiers. The men are taken back up the mountain to a ALA(Aust Liberation Army) cave. Hear they meat the ALA leader Cyclops who apologises to the men for their capture and says it is the only way to return Aust to its former glory. This message is givern to the Aust government:

I am a former officer in the Aust army but deserted to the ALA when I realised how right and true their cause and ideals are. A 100 soldiers consisting of men,women and children under my command have cealed off an area in the mountains in location (Seceret Transmision: 819014) awaiting supplies from Nodea Rudav. We are heavily armed and devote children of the cause. We await your response Nodea Rudav.

If required by the Aust government we can have a Regiment in place within a week (NS time) via C-130s and other airbourne transports. They will only have light equipment and a few helicopters and so will not be very usefull until their equipment begins to arrive shortly after that. From then on i propose that as they are from the 134th Infantry which is a Mountain Division that they be used in that role, however Aust Military will effectively be in command of them.

Holy Panooly's special forces have discovered a major cave system that's being used as a rebel hide-out. Neutralize every rebel and continue the search. And so it happens. 12 rebels have been killed but more were able to escape the carnage.

The sniper took aim, carefully, at the man with the gun. He fired and the man colllapsed his lifeblood pouring from his cheast. "Now!" The sniper wispered into his radio and from the hills 20 men rose and quickly took the familly prisinor, these people would be good slaves, he decided as he dragged the girl, who had chosan as his slave across the ground towards his quaters in the cave. She felt good under his hands and he knew that she would feel good at other times. Soon she would be branded, soon he would get his reward....

Sebastian aimed his AA gun situated above the cave at thr Kelcuts fighter, he fired along with 5 other people and 5 men with ground to Air missiles. The fighter crashed to the floor, it's pilot had bailed out though and soon he would be dragged before Cyclops and then he would talk, they all talked, eventually after half an hour with Cyclops.

The inderpendent hitman patrol would never leave the crevice five miles from the cave, the twenty men had been captured and 10 of them killed their heads stuck on spikes in the vally, the officer would be questioned and the others would work in the mines until starvation, exaction or if they where sent to the uranium mines, radiation would kill them.

The Credonian forward patrol, to was abushed as the advanced, 50 men all of whom where killed and harrably toutchered until they spoke, no slavery for these men. The ALA Hated Credonians more than any other people.

A suberbe on the outer reaches of Tanka was attacked, the rebles lost 22 men and took 156 children and women captave, we killed 55 men and took 87 of them captave.

We've got to work out where he is, he's in the North Easten Provence. That gives us somthing to goon, also a familly has disappeared around dark Cave in the North Easten provence. Shall we investigate that?

Their are only 6 citys, Aust City, Tanka, Alazia, Tastra, Naza, Theodreda and Edmunda. These conatin 2/5 of the population, the rest of the population is scatted almost at random around Aust in small villages and farms, thus the rebles can make quick strikes taking slaves and prisinors.

I think you mentioned seven cities, not six. Anyway, I will give economical aid to Aust, and will possibly give troops in the future, depending upon how dire the situation is.

Thank you, every little helps, the problem is their fighting a gurriller war, they proberly have hundreds of bases, their making small stratigic strikes all over the place and in a country like Aust, thats hard to stop. Just to give some idea what where dealing with, heres a discription of Aust.

Aust is a moutainus region shaped in the shape of a five pointed star. It is devided into five provences each ruled by a prince/princess. Their are only 6 citys, Aust City, Tanka, Alazia, Tastra, Naza, Theodreda and Edmunda. These conatin 2/5 of the population, the rest of the population is scatted almost at random around Aust in small villages and farms, thus the rebles can make quick strikes taking slaves and prisinors.
I think you mentioned seven cities, not six. Anyway, I will give economical aid to Aust, and will possibly give troops in the future, depending upon how dire the situation is.

Marines begin their advance while the helicopters hover, scanning the area for any movement and thermal emissions from the rebel's bodies.

Under heavy fire the ALA pull back, leaving the bodys, Commander Took, sends forward a Kamakarzi party forward. They got inside RPG fire range and though they had only 55 men out of the 200 that had set out they opened fire on the choppers, they thought they had brought down at least one before vengful Credonian fire killed them all.

With the rebels on the move, Credonian ground forces begni after them as the airborne units report the position of the rebels ahead of them. As they pursue, they split up into groups and spread out. Taking pop shots at the fleaing enemy.

The AT entered the caves, it was a massave complex. In many rooms they found corpses of slaves. "Where are the Credonians?" Asked the general,

with that Alfa four fired a missile upon one of the rebels jeeps, the missile was heading to land on the roof directly.

the jeep exploded in a shower of fire and the harriers stopped in mid air.

Meanwhile, Credonian forces switch modes from shooting the rebels to trying to capture them, shooting to disable only. The aim was to capture rebels to extract information from them about their leaders. During the siege on ebel forces, at least 4 were shot at so as to disable them.

The highlander Commader, Daniel Hart, presents a swift arm to his Austian liason Staff Sergeant William Guinness before standing easy his wirey body slouched slightly and his black hair an unruly mess.

Twenty minutes later two ebony coloured black hawk helicopters are fluttering away into the night sky. The twenty two grim faced highlanders sit their unspeaking a stoical look on their faces.

On the horizon, small black figures could be seen before the sun. But meanwhile, The harriers continued to pursue the Rebels, continuly firing smoke missiles at them, hoping to slow them down

Meanwhile, the Black flying figure on the Horizon grew bigger... as they went faster, the figures became clear, flying towards the Rebels were 10 helicopters, armed with machine guns, and ready with ladders. They were going to storm the jeeps...they hoped. As ther first ladder descended, an elite soldier held his Uzi to the window and fired straight through. witht he glass broken and the men inside dead, he quickly swung his ladder to get through the window, before it would crash out of control as he held onto the window, the car suddenly spun, he let go and climbed up suddenly as the car flipped over and exploded. Unfortunatly another two men of the KCNA had been killed

When Austian forces arrived in the vally just an hour later they found the body's of 659 Aust soildiers.

"Cyclops sat in the back of his van, totchering an Aust soildier. What to do he mused, all his men where scatted, but so where the Aust forces. He decided. He leaned to his 2nd in command. "How far to Tanka?"
"34 miles" He knew that they where defeated, but if they took Tanka, They would have shelter and the Emporerr would never order an attack that could kill cavillians. "Driver."

Meanwhile the KCNA continued to hijack the rebels jeeps, and after eeach was free of men, the harriers would blow them up. As the last jeep the KCNA could see was blown, they tallied the casualties. they counted 78 rebels dead along with 956 Kelcuts. on 44 Kelcuts had lived

OOC: KCNA is the Kelcuts National Army. Which is divided into three, The KCNA, which is the main troops, the KCAS The kelcuts air strike and the KCEF the Kelcuts elite force. 5 men who are armed to the hill. I guess you could call them mini-terminators. Masters of the Sword and gun, each is armed with an uzi, a machine gun, three grenades and a sword. In training these men could take on 10 men each. however many came out wounded and had to stop. just a useless piece of info.

The citizans of Tanka (All 1.6 million of them, saw the rising dust and turned to flee, only to see that they where surrounded, they couldn't guess what it was, and they had no protection. Their millatary corps where away.

Menawhile the KCAS moved at top speed over the plains. The remaining 44 men were claiming vengence for their dead friends, so they were too armed to the hill and with 54 vengful men ready to fight to the death, this woudn't be an easy fight for them, the only thing that tightened the knot, were the 20 harriers now beaming across the lands. speeding up as they went. the remaining men were dropped into the city and civillians were asked if they wanted to climb aboard to see if they could escape...

They both slithered back on their belly's coming to their feet on the other side where the 6 men of their squads waited for them eyes alert.

"Fire teams make ready, The kelcutian bombing run has eliminated a large amount of the enemy infantry. You know what to do boyo's hit them from range and take out officers first. Shaw, Mc Dougal (the spotters) see if you cant get those harriers some targets to hit since the enemy forces are scatttering. Light munitions set up a nest with the .40 cal at the crest of the second ridge and get ready to fire for our withdrawal. The Captain and the rest of our forces are a 2 clicks sout with the 'copters and the light artillery they will fire for effect as we withdraw. Luck boyo's meet death with open arms Na Sadach Much"

With that the 8 men moved to their positions. The spotters radioed the departing Harriers and began marking armour targets and artillery postions with their TAG lasers. Murphy and O'Shea with the other two SADach sniper rifle equipped soldiers Croistoir and Christianson took up postions on the low ridge before the descent into the vale.

Sergeant Ben Christianson took careful aim the Rebel Commander issuing orders for his men to regroup and hold the line. He could see through his scope the Commaders haggard unshaven appearance. He stroked the trigger of his rifle twice a bullet catching the Rebel in the face spinning him around another shattering his spine. He quickly changed aim and stroked the trigger again a bullet smashing through the face of a Rebel looking bewildered. He smiled as he watched through his scope the rest of the Rebel group break and run. Having no qualms at shooting men in the back he stroked the trigger again and again the rifle jerking lightly in his hands. He quickly changed the magazine and took aim at the crew of a light artillery piece.

Credonian troops recieved orders to back up Austian forces who have taken heavy casualties, so all of the groups rejoined. It appeared that not one man had been lost in the seige on the rebels. The Apache's flew overhead scanning the area for rebel forces.

"Austian forces dead ahead, 2 miles up" reports one of the Apache pilots to the ground commanders.

"ALRIGHT MEN, KEEP A CLOSE EYE OUT, SPEED IT UP, WERE GOING TO BACK THEM UP, THEY'RE TAKING HEAVY LOSSES, MOVE!!!! MOVE!!!! MOVE!!!" yelled the commander as the men began hastily moving, scanning the area back and forth as the apaches flew overhead using both visual and thermoimaging sensors to search for any rebels in the area, none were spotted.

Upon arrival in the valley where the Austian forces were ambushed, the marines were shocked at what they saw, so many bodies, pools of blood, nothing but death, destruction, havoc, and just pure evil. The commander started his search for the man in charge of the Austian forces there already cleaning up the "mess" and directing his forces for the next offensive. The commander realized just how uncoordinated the assault effort is, as the incident could have been avoided had Credonian forces been there with them.

The Aust commander walked towards the Credonian commander, he was shocked and pale. "Sir. I'm General Nick Harris, Aust 4th Light infantry. WE arrived here at 0800 hours after reciving a distress call. The rebles where tracked to a cave to the north and then dissappeared off our scanners. The 9th Heavy was sent to seach them out under General Red. It appears that they where approching a cave to the north when approximetly 3000 rebles appeared, surrounding them, it is though that the rebles mnay have got hold of some cam-foil. They attacked, and the, they whiped out the ninth heavy and the General. 659 bodys have been counted, some appear to have been mutilated and some killed in close cambat, that may have been their last stand. 41 Aust Troopers are missing presumed captured. It's terrable, sir and their appear to be no enermy casultys. Though their bodys may haxve been removed." A radio operator ran up. "Sir. Their is a massive army of rebles, about 50,000 strong heading for Tanka Sir. We are closest so we are ordered to go their imediatly. If they take Tanka they may hold it for weeks."
"Shit. Guys lets move out."

"HOLY SHIT!!" yelled the Credonian Commander.

"Im going to need to call in the entire 43rd infantry. IN troops only, they out number us by about 5,000 men but we have heavy armor and things of thta sort so it wont be too bad. Many men will die. Commander, i suggest we wait for a litle while, were going to need to bring in the 43rd and more of your forces for this offensive. If we start heading otut there now, we may end up walking into a battle we werent prepared to fight, but we have a chance to hit them, and hit them hard if we just wait until our forces arrive." The commander continues, then turns to a sergant standing next to him.

"Sergant, send a message to C&C, tell them to get the 43rd up here ASAP, tell them to push for total mobilization, double time, as this is time critical, and tell them to get the predator UAV's down by Tanka NOW"

"Yes Sir" the Sergant salutes and heads off.

The Commander turns back to General Harris.

"General, our predator drones will keep a close lookout on rebel movements and will help us coordinate and plan our attack on them inside and outside of the city. If there are no objections, prepare your guys but i suggest we hold here for a bit. Ive got my men scanning this area constantly for rebels looking to ambush, theres no way they can catch us of guard. Weve got snipers, special forces, patrols and lookouts in the mountains and all aroudn the surrounding area, we have Predator UAV's in the sky constantly watching us, as well as the Apaches, but they will head back to refuel once the others arrive with the main forces."

"I agree, iI've called in the 35th 69th 42nd 90th light infantry, the Tanka reserves, 5th pathfinders, the royal North Draggons, the 78th Heavys the 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th Tank corps, 400,000 men in total, including the ones you have. It will take about 3 days to mobalise to here," He pointed at a map. "We shall mobalise and red goarge. I have sent the 1st pathfinders to watch Tanka." He looked away and mutted, "my Wife and kids live in their, I hope we get their in time, if anything happens." He screwed up his map. "I'll kill them!"

Bemp.

Beep. I mean BumP,bemp.

Kelcut forces that had been Dropped in Tanka now prepared for a pathetic defense. The few men that were alive escorted people into helicopters to get them safe.
"General, this shall be the last lot, we cannot return for more it is too late"
"yes..get them out of here" he yelled

with that the 10 helicopters took off, carrying some 40 civillians. a total of 120 that had been evacuated.

General Tahl went to the top of the building complex and observed the sandstorms getting closer. The rebels were coming fast. and with that the other men heard a gunfire. they looked up. General Tahl had been shot by long range fire.

"get the civillians inside bunkers quickly!"

"do not be alarmed. stay inside the bunkers until told. Friendly Forces and Aust Forces will arrive soon... Please hurry" spoke the soldiers

and with that. the Few Kelcut Soldiers at Tanka knew that now there was no way out. The Battle had begun in Tanka, and they would loose if help does not arrive...

"Well General, if you plan to get the troops mobilized, transported here, then on to Tanka, perhaps you should only mobilize 20,00 men since they will be outnumbered. In fact, it wouldnt exactly matter if they WE were outnumbered because we have all the tech thta we do and they only have guns and jeeps. That way, if you send in that many units, we can be sure to get them here in a few hrs to a day or so tops. Then once we secure the city, we send in reinforcements, say 100,000 or so men to keep the city secured, and take the attacking forces and move on to the next offensive."

His sargeant comes back with some startling news

"Sir, Kelcutian forces report that they are beginning to encounter the rebels already entering into Tanka. They are seriously outnumbered. If they all come bogging down on them, they will be wiped out, totally."

"How many men and women do they have?"

OOC: Kelcuts- how many men do you have in Tanka?

OOC: only 50! the rest were wiped out when the rebels attacked

The Kelcuts now loaded their weapons and waited. Some flare guns were fired but they knew it was now too late for them. they checked everyone was safe, then prepared finally for a head on battle.

"Only 50 sir."

"Send a message to them to find a place and hide. We'll send in special forces to extract them while we prepare our offensive forces against the rebels. Also tell them to wire their coordinates once they have found a spot and let them know were sendig in 8 transport helicopters to get them."

"Yes sir"

The sergrant leaves

"May God be with them" the commander mumbles to himself.

The spotters and the .40 cal team died vainly trying to crack a hole in the far superior Rebel force. Their gallantry would be remebered as the retreating Snipers watched their comrades cut down by overwhelming force. The rest of the sic man tema retreated to their black hawks and made way to the last remaining Kelcutian forces in the town of tanka.

They landed on the roof of a small industrial building a few blocks from the Kelcutian forces. The 18 man team laden with extra muntions and four .40 caliber machine guns, made their way swiftly towards the last known postion of the Kelcutian forces. Commander Hart saw a young kelcutian soldier nervously handling the stock of a MP-5. H signaled for his special forces squadron to stop. He yelled out to the Kelcutian "Oi boyo, tis Harts Highlanders check that weapon adn tell us where yer commander is".........

OOC:Kelcuts i need to know where your commader is.

"He is dead, he was shot down 5 minutes ago by enemy long range fire. we command oursleves"
suddenly a young soldier jumped over a wall

"Rebels! The Rebels are entering the south of the City"

"they are 5 minutes from the north still"

"they must have sped up to distract us"

"grab your guns we came here for peace and by death this country shall get it"

"Message the Credonians. Tell them to extract civillians whilst we hold them off. Shooting from buildings shouldn't be too hard now should it..."

"we are sorry to leave you here commander Hart however we are after vengance...and we shall get it"

Upon recieval of the message 8 EA-24C transport helicopters protected by 3 AH-64 Apache helicopters armed with weapons to take out ground forces (tanks, anti-personnel, etc.) take off and head towards the city. ETA: 15 minutes

Message to Kelcuts: "Credonian transport helicopters are enroute. ETA 15 minutes, keep a look out for them, they will be coming from the west. Once you see them, pop off a few flares to signal your position and prepare the civilians for extraction"

"Oi lad if your boyos are hell bent on death then we'll join ye in the glory of it. Flannigan, Slainte get your mortar crew up here now start hitting the outskirts of the city. 5 rounds from each mortar then move your asses. Snipers get to high ground. Muntions set up the the .40cals at choke points in the industrial quarter of the city. Claymores at 50 feet dispersals behind the .40cals. Spotters see if you can't radio the Credonians or Austians for artillery support. Use your TAG's to mark armour only, and get them to lob 12 rounds of cluster mine ordinance into the the streets of rebel approach vectors. You have you orders lads. A fine bunch of stout Irish lads are to die today, lets take some of the cur to the grave with us"

Shouted the grizzled Gaelic sergeant over the soft whump of the NqB artillery. The sharp retorts of heavy machine guns fire echoed through the city of tanka keeping the advanced elements of the Rebel force out of the city proper.
The Sergeant wiped his brow then clicked the radio over again "Credonian artillery postions in the area fire for effect 4 rounds standard munitions 12 rounds cluster mines Grid refernce zero zero 1. I repeat Credonian artillery fire for effect 4 rounds standard munitions 12 rounds cluster mines zero zero 1. Target is marked."

"Thats a negative, we have no artillery in the area. All are being diverted for rendezvous with the main offensive force, we will begin a bombing raid on the marked targets. Mark the targets with lasers and our boys will take them out. ETA approximatly 10 minutes. Hang tight."

Over the skies, the convoy of helicopters continue on. ETA 7 minutes.

Skies Over Aust
Orders are recieved by an F-15E Strike Eagle squadron of 5 to break off from patrol and head towards Tanka to take out forces there and to assist with protecting the rescue operation. They immediatly break the patrol pattern and head there, kicking in their afterburners . ETA 5 minutes

The first NqB machine gun nest had been over run by weight of numbers though hundreds of Rebel soldiers had been removed from the conflict. It gained valuable minutes in the defense of the city as did the preceeding claymore mines remotely detonated from Dan Harts position atop the ruins of a large commercial building. He threw away the usless detonator in favour of his SADach sniperifle and began to shoot at targets of oppurtunity picking off man after man after man and knowing the other 5 snipers in the squad would be doing exactly the same thing. He watched the Rebel forces brazenly sweep down the boulevard shooting as they came. He allowed himself a smile as a mortar round landed at the rear of the force ripping the tracks of an outdated tank and halting the advance of the armour up the street. 400 yards further up the second NqB machine gun nest opened fire frm a large defolet in the middle of the street forcing the rebels to run for cover. Dan brought his rifle to bear on the commander standing upright in the cupola of the damaged tank. He depressed the trigger the bullet catching the man in the chest. He heard a crackle in his radio.

"Commander Hart artillery is a negative i repeat artillery is a negative"

"Curse the Brassers who gave birth to these fatherless rebel whelps, Sergeant fall back to our black hawks and tell them to commence a run on the enemy positions on the industrial Boulevard, radio the Credonian commander and tell them we've halted the armour for the time being and i'll see him in hell"

With that hart flung his radio away from him and began to fire round after round after round at the advancing rebels "Tis judgement day boyos' and i want ye to be decking the road to hell with flowers"...........

As more and more rebels pured into the streets, Kelcuts troops hid behind a small wooden fence. preparing an ambush style attack they counted down

"three...two...one"

with that they oushed down the fence and fired their machine guns into a front line of rebel troops, knocking down around 50, before rebel troops reacted

"Move out!"

30 of the troops drew long swords and sprinted towards the enemy, only 20 made it to them, knocking off heads and scarring rebel faces they showed no mercy. The remaining 20, headed back to the north, to ready the flare guns. The 20 in combat played tricks, and rebel gunners were to slow for the agility of the men, acidentally shooting their own men. But very quickly the nbumbers went down into 10..then 5...and finally the last swordsman was knocked down. The 20 Kelcuts now retreating were falling down to heavy fire. Only 13 made it away from the rebels. Running through the city, the 13 men grabbed flare guns and fired. They had no idea of where the other troops were in the city.

when suddenly, a wall exploded behind them
"uh oh"

As Credonian forces fly into the city they radio allied forces in the city

"HEADS UP BOYS WERE LETTIN IT RIP, TAKE COVER ASAP, MISSILES INCOMING!!!!" yells Bravo two one the F-15 squadron leader before firing off three missiles at rebel vehicles and personnel.

The other fighters fire missiles and their cannons into the rebel crowds and peel off to allow the helicopters to land ontop of the roofs of the buildings.

"Rescue Convoy One ready for civilian and military personnel extraction!!! Lets go!!!" says the RC1 team commander.

The apache's take up positions hovering above the buildings firing upon the rebels as they try to converge on the troops and civilians.

7 NqB soldiers made it back to their last operational black hawk. Commander Dan got it on his way out of the ruined commercial complex. The other black hawk and the 2 spotters got it droppng grenades on the armour. Both machine gun nests where overrun by the rebel opposition. "The blood of the 'rishman be doing some dieing"

"In light of current situations i have ordered the mobilisation of the NqbCT 1st Gaelic Shillegah, to avenge the deaths of the Kelcutian troops and the Austian civilians. We will not stop at the defeat of the Austian rebels we requie the mortal persecution of the perpetrators of such crimes..........." The oratory and rhetoric continues for a few minutes igniting the crowd and whipping them into a frenzy of anti-terrorist sentiment which sweeps the entire island.

Air support: Twelve MK II Black Hawk Helicpoters, Four A10-Warthog equipped for close nfantry support and tank busting.
Armour: Four Challenger II MBT's , Eight M551 General Sheridans, 4 Panhard EBR ETT Armoured Carriers.

As the wall fell and dust scattered. 5 rebels came and died. Kelcuts machine guns hade fired at a support bar and it had fallen onto them.

"Look! the Credonians!"

"get to the civillians, prepare for the evacuation get the civillians aboard the choppers, NOW"

With that the 13 remaining men scattered across the North of the City, emptying bunkers of people and slowly but surely they Made way for any helicopters they could find

"Soldier Down...I repeat Soldier down" it came in on the speaker

"what is it?"

"we're taking fire, i need re-inforce---"

suddenly a huge explosion flared up where the soldiers were

"civillians dead sir"

"Quickly! we haven't got time"

Another soldier appeared

"Sir. The North of the city has been invaded, they have no opposition up there. they're flooding in. I give us 5 minutes before the entire city is either blown to pieces or taken"

"I give us 10."

BUMP

"Make that several days." Came a voice on the intercom, 25 plane flew over head and para-troopers of the ASS, Deaths Head legion dropped from the sky, the elite of the elite. "right men" Roared commander Banquo, "theirs a plaza, to the south, we go their and take up positions." He ran up to the Kelcutians, "I'm Commander Banquo, OAE. Commander of the ASS Death Squadron, follow me." They made their way to the plaza.

Cyclops sat in his van near the corpes of the Aust soildier, "how goes the attack?"
"Good sir. Whe've taken the city excpt for a single plaza, we've got that surrounded."
"Good, Good. Where are the men," The aide hesertated
"Their, their, having fun with some of the local women, sir."
"Good, I have information that General Harris, an Aust generals familly are in Tanka, bring them to me alive. Have the men build loopholes in the walls of the outside buildings and make barracades, take some of the ground to air missiles to the roofs, we abandon the north area of the city where the plaza is after we've taken every slave their is to be taken and turn the southen third as a fortress."

Suddenly the soldiers turned and above them flew the Kelcuts 5th helicopter leader. Armed with missiles and gunners at either opening. they took aim. The kelcuts turned to notice the rest of the helicopters arriving behind them. firing at rebels as they came.

Meanwhile. 4 harriers were on to what they believed to be Cyclopses van. They stopped and hovered just in front of the van. staring face to face with a driver. they hoped cyclops was in there and fired.

The vans exploded in a blast of fire. the Harriers had just enough time to leave, but the front of the planes were slightly scorched. "Alfa one to base. We think that was cyclopses van, we are awaiting for the smoke to clear then we're moving in repeat, moving in"

Credonian helicopters hover in place waiting for the civilians and rebels to fall back towards the buildings for extraction.

"LETS GO!! LETS GO!!! HURRY UP LETS GET OUT OF HERE ASAP" yells the lead pilot into the radio

Cyclops laughed, he couldn't balive it, the Kelcutians had fallen for his jest, when their troops came to seach over the van, they would find nothing, nothing except a nail bomb. His van was safe alright. It was in the house. he had nothing to do now except wait, for the slaghter.

"sir?"

"what is it?"

"i think we should leave"

"why? we are safe we should stay and help as much as we can"

"no sir. some troops are heading this way"

"lets go home"

and with that flew out west. into the sunset. never to see aust again...they thought.

Taking hits and coming under heavy fire all of the troops and cilians were loaded into the EA-24C's.

"Thats It? LETS GET OUTTA HERE!!!!!!" yells one of the troops as the copters take to the skies, kicking up a storm of dust and begin their flight back towards Credonian Command and Control.

Meanwhile the Credonian 43rd Marine Infantry Division meet up with troops in the mountain ranges and begin to wait for Austian forces to rendezvous with them to begin planning an attack on Tanka and the rebel forces who have sieged, poured into the city, and taken up defensive positions.

The Gaelic Shillegah manouvers into postion 7 miles of Tanka in a low gully 7 clicks south of the suburban fringe of the city. The Highlander Regimental Combat Squads immediately disperse among the hills clearing out rebels and setting up a perimeter around the Armour Corps. Artillery assets where brought to bare on the plaza and an area of a square kilometer was designated for immediate and constant bombardment. The 155mm AMX-13 self propelled guns blazed away their light magazine based ordinance unable to penetrate through some of the tougher buildings but more than capable of clearing the streets. Occasionally a wide ranging bombardment would drop 60 rounds of cluster munitions over the remainder of the city. Connolly's Cavaliers the blackhawk sqadron made daily strikes against the fringes of the city taking out a few municipal buildings or destroying armour.

Behn Shalom flicked the crosshairs of the LAW up and took aim at the vulnerable area between turret and chassis of the outdated Sherman light tank. He fired the kick of the launcher almost knocking him off his feet. The rocket spiraled slightly before hitting the tank. The unlaminated armour melted, the tank began to brew up and rounds of unspent ammunition cooked off ripping the left track off a dilapidated Leopard I. Shalom moved quckly away none too soon as the wood and timber were he had been standng splintered away by assorted gunfire. He looked back over his shoulder as he heard the almost inaudible hiss of SADach sniper weapons picking of the Rebels from all sides. The Rebels broke 10 or so running down a side street where a claymore mine lay cleverly hidden behind a split level step. The first couple ran overit failing to hit the archaic tripwire or the Detanator plate. The 7th however close on the heels of the preceding six stumbled and as his body arched 15 millimeters towards the earth he and six other men had been turned into spoey substances resebling more butchered cattle than human remains............

OOC: Tyhey are in the city but i'm being realistic. You would have patrols and stragglers all through out the surrounding areas. Also i thought most of the civlians had been evacuated by the Credonians if not scrach the artillery assets post.

OOC: I havent sent anything to begin evacuation of major numbers of people. I just sent them in to pick up the military men and the civilians that they rounded up. The main evacuation forces will push into the city once the massive offensive begins.

The Gaelic Shillegah manouvers into postion 7 miles of Tanka in a low gully 7 clicks south of the suburban fringe of the city. The Aust Troopers of the 12th 15th 45th 67th 78th 33rd began to congrigate, 19,000 men in all, inside 4 more days 45 more regerments where expected to arrive. (A regermen is about 4,000 men.)

Still the Aust forces gavered, Major-General harris gave the order to attack, sending the 5th, 8th 12th 16th 93rd 65th 43rd into the north of the city, supported by the 120th and 121st ASS as well as the 400 men of the ASS Deaths Head legion, they advanced into the north of the city, finding nothing but, blood, and a few bodys, occasionaly one of the bodys would be the son or daughter of a men and he would break down crying next to it, but so far no resistance was found, we have advance into the top 1/10th of Tanka.

General William Murnane, the chairmans eldest brother, siezed upon the inherent weakness of the Rebel command in positioning himself in the southern third of the city thus removing the worry of civilian casualties.
"General Murnane to all batteries begin creeping bombardment starting at the rear edge of the southern third of the city, to Glasgow squadron begin a Talon pattern napalm bombardment of the rear edge of the rebel forces, drive the bastards towards us. You are the sickle swift and at the heart to our hammer the blunt and crushing blow."

12 minutes later 3800 soldiers where assembled infront of their commander. His orders had been explicit. They where to let the ill equipped and untrained rebels grind themeselves against the Gaelic Shillegahs armour assets. Already escaping north from the southern third of the city was a futile gesture with hundreds of unexploded cluster munitions littering the streets.

Inside the southern quater chaos regined as 200 special operations forces blew up roads ways through petrol bombs into buildings and cleared buildings at a time. They numbered only 127 when the order came to fight the withdrawal towards the outskirts of the city. A few nasty surprises where left ofr the rebels as they fell back. 12 more men lost their lives before the small force dug in 200 meters from the southern edge of the city proper. Machine gun nests where set up and the area was littered with mines The snipers where doing their deadly business, whole squads mown down in seconds. But the weight of numbers was beginning to tell as slowly and inexorably the rebel force drew nearer. 6 of the eight machine guns where out of commission and 49 men where making peace with the gods when twelve shells slammed into the front ranks of the rebels.....

OOC: They took the civilians with them I think.

Credonian forces advance towards Tanka with blazing speed, cutting through the terrain looking for any signs of rebel forces as they come closer and closer towards the city. Two B-52 Stratofortress bombers are called in to do a bombing run on a large chunk of the rebels sitting outside of the city.

Upon their arrival, the planes prepare to drop their load of cluster bombs

"Sixety seconds from the target!!!! Open the bomb bay doors" yells the navigator of one of the bombers.

"bomb bay doors open sir, 30 seconds!!"

"LET ER' RIP!!!!!"

The cluster bombs file out of the bomb bays spelling out certain casualties to any troop emplacements on the ground.

Ground forces continue to blaze their way across the terrain towards the city.

Announcement: Due to threat of invasion,effective immediately, all Credonian air forces in Aust are being called back to mainland Credonia to support our defenses currently in place. Following the conflict, they will return to support coalition troops in Aust. Sorry for the inconvienence.

IC: The Aust Troopers reached the final 3 thenths and where met with a hail of fire, 124 Aust troopers died as they retreated, this was gutter warfare and though they returned fire from houses and sent men with C-4 Charges to distroy houses they died. Their seemed no way past, civillians where in those houses and the rebles where well dug in, all they could do way return fire and wait for reinforcements.

Credonian troops are now in the process of pulling back and heading back to Credonia in response to the killing of Credonian citizens in Aust.
