Recently scientist on one of Nano Softs colonies about 80 light years from earth discovered an element unlike no other that they have seen any where, out side and inside the Milky way. Scientist have give the name Fulloxeride to the element, or shorten is FUX. It's atomic mass is 27.90046724. The element is a metal and the FUX element tend to connect very well together in 20 with in a odd shape with diamond kind of shapes and triangles, they named the shaped Fullexor. Scientist then made it larger, adding Fullexor on to Fullexor. Then the tested it and it turn out to be extremely strong and light.

Shipments in billion of pounds of the FUX are now heading back for Nano Soft Corp. on earth. Officials are willing to make agreements with other nations to sell it to them for an annual price, per year, of 20,000 Nano Credits, $10,000, for ten pounds of the FUX. But they have also decided to be sold to only older nations and maybe few young ones. But the government will sell the metal to allies from Nogova and Corporate Islands for only 10,000 Nano Credits per ten pounds. They are also willing to sell it in stock and not shipment every year. The element is being used to produce Nano Softs T-102 and further modles, which is estimated to weigh only 8,000-14,000 tons, and will be able to reach speeds of 80-100 mph with extreme fire power and protection.

OOC: I realize this is future tech, but I was just curious whether you know that IRL an element with an atomic mass of less than about 44 amu (much less 18 ) almost HAS to be a gas, not a metal?

For instance, Fluorine gas has an atomic mass of 18.99840.

I hope you mean mineral and not element.

Rebelandi scientists have posed an interest in this new element. Would your nation be willing to sell a certain quantity of this element to my nation?

Ahhh, the need to cure science illiteracy in our school systems.

Kinda sounds like he found a 5 (or so) neutron isotope of Aluminum.

Can you imagine. "Woohoo! We discovered Aluminum! Now were going to kick all your butts with our super-futuretech starships!"

OOC: Guanyu you do realize this is discovered on totaly diffrent space diffrent from earth so all we really know is the subtances on earth so what you are saying is based on what we see on earth and the moon so there is no telling what kind of elements are out there. Also aluminum is a metal and its atomic mass is 25, only 7 larger. But I will make it a little larger but only to 28 then I will not change it.

Wazzu the element I found is much stronger and its form gives it sapport and also I meant to say I think 4 instead of five but ill fix that.

Aluminum is 27 actually, and i said ALMOST has to be.

And I was merely checking to see if you understood the IRL situation. As I said, I am aware this is future tech.

OOC:Opps stupid double post. There I fixed it, now it actully make sense.

Actully Guanyu aluminum is 26.98, I have the the Periodic Table right in front of me.

The Socialist Republic of Xanthal would like to request one hundred pounds of FUX as quickly as possible. We will make it worth your while by paying $1,000,000 upon delivery, ten times the going price.

Several SAM sites in the borders of Tepalguana now count with kitchen scissors, to fend off the aluminum invaders.

Well actully that is the regular price you would have to pay, 100 x 10,000=1,000,000, so I dont know what you mean with "ten times the going price." but you order is comfirmed and it is on its way as soon as it reaches earth which will be soon.

OOC: :x I cant answer that Kazar-Tiyon, im not that far in chem yet.

IC: Points giant oribital ignore gun at Tepalguana. Oh these noobs, there to lazy to even read the whole post, tiss tiss only reading the first couple sentences. Well bye bye now.

OOC: To be fair to him, Aluminum was pretty expensive. Until they figured out how to make it cheaply.

You should've just made a new element with an extremely high atomic mass...

OOC:Why would I want to do that? If we are discovering an element that I am able to make up the specs of my choice(realistic/future-tech) why would I make something that is strong and heavy then light and strong? I would just use steel or Titanium then.

You've gotta do your math on chemestry stuff, Nano. I would reccommend asking around before you discover a new element, just like people who try and make energy-resistant armor out of sulfer should. And yes, someone did try that.

Oh, and long time no see, Guanyu.

Point is, go out and look for stuff yourself. Sometimes you'll find a revolutionary new concept that you can put into action and make something truly unique))

OOC: So, how many protons does this new element have?

As the man asked, how many protons?

See, the reason your element doesn't work is because each element on the real periodic table has a different number of protons. Each proton weighs just about 1 AMU.

Every possible element from 1 (hydrogen) to 109 (Meitnerium) [and possibly higher now?] is known.

Let me say that again, every possible element from 1 to 109 is known.

Unless you can have half a proton (which you can't), your element is not even possible.

Call it what you want (Nanosoftism) for all you want, but I won't accept it as anything much different from Aluminum (the most likely candidate from your discription).

And Resi, yes I'm back. Klonor got me readdicted. Expect to see me pointing out lots of chemistry and mathematics errors or logical inconsistencies in people's tech  Including your own (did someone say sonar cloaking?)
