**Official Announcement**
*A sharply dressed man steps up towards the podium,c learing his voice as the Tercero, Xavier Delryn, addresses the crowd gathered in front of him, numbering in the millions.*
Greetings Citizens, nations of the world, and those who are merely watching this tonight. The nation of Crownguard, after much reflection, has realized a small matter or errors in previous judgements.
**Some gasps from the crowd; admitting mistakes? Never**
Indeed, we have realized the folly of our former alliances with nations promoting fascism and unfettered imperialism. We have always tried to follow a policy of benevolent rule of our people, and find this just as much at odds with fascists and tyrants as with terrorists and pure communism. We will NOT massacre our own people, as several "allies" have down to the much maligned homosexuals in their nations, and we promote diversity among all, bound only by love of Country and the common language. We do not persecute any but, protect all. As such, we wish to bring Crownguard forward, not mire it in the past. We wish to see knowledge and reason in our policies, not mere militarism. We wish, indeed, to provide a better land for our people. As such, we call...nay...ask for advisors from concerned nations who wish to partake in an advisory capacity, and help offer ideas as to how to create a sense of goodwill among our brethren. We will not change the fact we are a benevolent oligarchy, but we wish to provide more input for our beloved Citizens. Crownguard will always protect its people from the scourge of poverty, despair, and hatred plaguing most nations. Liberties are sacrificed so that a high standard of life is guaranteed for all.
As such, we ask any nation with any political system to send "ambassadors" to help offer comments to improve or system of government, and make it more tolerable to the nations of the world. We believe that enlightened government is the best form of government, and that can only be obtained by listening to other nations as well as our own people.
As well, following this line of thought, we hereby insitute a set of "Citizen's Tribunes" for all to offer a voice in a government that may seem distant, in hopes of dispelling this illusion. Military impressment has now been outlawed, the police will be brought to bear, and the government will institute a series of changes in our social structure to provide for the disadantaged and the poor.
We hope these changes will help others to see our nation in a better light, and to foster pride and loyalty to our own Citizenry. We are not a religious nation, but we see the spirit of Mankind, and indeed, all life, worthy of our endeavours. A good evening to you all! May whatever you believe in, if only yourself, watch over you!
