CSJMI would be willing to provide upgrade designs through commission, and could both provide plans and/or refit facilities. We are not, however, especially interested in the designes as we have a full range of gun vessels from 20,000 to 120,000 tons, and many of the ones here are notably light on protection for their class.

OOC: it will take a bit of looking into before I can provide much help, and any IC assistance would have to be bought (I know, we're grubby little SOBs). I'd also need to know what kind of upgrade you're looking for. Do you want a simple one like the Iowas had, or a more extensive upgrade with VLS, air defense capabilities, etc, or possibly a complete redesign? Until I know what's wanted, I'm a bit limited.

My goal is to create ships that do not need to relay on missiles. Basicly i want to put modern air defence on them, maybe a cople of harpoon lainchers as their primary goal is to attack other shipping. we are willing to pay hansomly for your asistance

Well, it still leaves a lot up in the air, so we will start with some suggestions for one of the ships, and build on it from there.

To begin with, the White Lady:
1) For starters, if a more extensive refit is wanted, we would suggest replacing the secondary (150mm) guns with more modern 6" or 5" weapons. That will provide increased range and versatility. CSJ does, in fact, have versions of 5"/54 cal and 5"/62 cal naval guns in armored twin turrets, which we use for our ships. A 6.1" AGS is also an option.

2) Most of the gun-based AA should be dropped, this includes the 10.5 cm, 3.75 cm, and 2 cm AA guns. The deck and internal space from that can be used to add maybe 4 quad harpoon launchers, and 2-3 Sea Sparrow launchers. Also put up 4-6 CIWS systems. This gives limited air defense capability (only point defense and short-medium range), and some decent antishipping capability. If anything more was desired, some main or secondary turrets would have to be dropped. The 2 cm weapons should be replaced by 2-4 Bushmaster series weapons, and a similar number of more modern heavy machine guns.

3) Drop the torpedo tubes. The ship doesn't have enough room for decent air, surface, and ASW combat systems, and WWII capital-ship torpedo tubes are generally a liability (plus the torpedoes would only be useful against submarines. Surface ships will rarely get close enough). You could have a pair of deck-mounted 12.75" or possibly 21" torpedo tube clusters. But we wouldn't suggest going further.

4) The air complement can be switched to 1-2 small helicopters (SH-2 would be a good fit) and 1-2 UAVs for reconnaissance and spotting missions.

As long as you don't go within our bounds of Specs, or anything else, we will consider this a Discovery of the Old German Pocket Battleship Plans which is Rightfully Everyones to Develop.

We mearly wish to create ships of present tech level

Indeed, as we shall allow everyone, as long as they are not from our Modified specs for the New Modern Tech Era we are in, then we are fine with it. If it is a Modification, and not ours, then we are fine with it. We have our own personal Experimental Technology, and as long as the Unlikely happening that we find one nation using it doesn't happen, we will be fine with it. :)

The Republic would like to salute your taste in naval architecture, and buy two of the morrigan class. Money wired upon confirmation of sale.
