Earlier today, several Greenpeace ships blockaded the government's shipping harbor of Pyronea's Capital city, Cindercrag. The demonstrators were disrupting a uranium shipment headed for a country across the Sea of Flame.
The uranium came from a newly opened mine that required the destruction of over 500 acres of forest land. A blockade of the harbor was thought to be chosen because it where most of the uranium is shipped out to other countries.
After several hours of peaceful protest, some of the Greenpeace members raided one of the cargo ships and proceeded to dump the uranium overboard. That is when two military vessels, watching over the situation, moved in and began to douse the Greenpeace ships in flames. (Any Greenpeace members that jumped from the flaming ships and into the water were shot) Several troops then boarded the cargo ship who's cargo was being dumped and killed the protestors onboard.
The Dictator of Pyronea released the following statement soon after the incident. "You can protest all you want, yell, shout, scream, jump up and down, I don't care. But as soon as you make any physical actions other than protesting, we will act. Had this not been a government ship carrying cargo owned by the government, such harsh actions would not have been taken."
Because the cargo was radioactive and taken from its containers, the vessel must be quarintined and cleaned of any radiation outside the storage area. Crew members will have to be tested for any radiation poisoning as well. As for the protestors, they wont have to worry about any radiation poisoning.
The Pyronean government apoligizes for the delay in uranium shipments to those countries importing it from the nation.
