Instinctively and unfailingly loyal to the first human they lay eyes on after hatching, these creatures make great bodyguards, and one-use disposable shock troops. individual appearance varies according to preference, differences are purely cosmetic.

The Mk V has been stabilised, and its gestation significantly increased in order to maximise lifespan, The changes have been significant, with the gestation increased to 18 months, after birth it attains full size in two years. However, they then have a lifespan of 10 more years. These changes have also had other unexpected windfalls. The Mk V was expected to have the same physical characteristics as the Mk II and III, however, the slower growth rate has meant the body is more stable, and can handle greater muscle density, and has a better developed nervous system, so in fact, the Mk V is physically between the II and the IV. Mentally the Mk V is much more advanced. able to comprehend a wide range of vocabulary, and even potentially carrying a conversation, and developing hobbies or interests. They also come with inherent ability in a range of martial arts, and with a range of weapons. Though this model is more intelligent than its forebears, its loyalty is still unshakeable.

The Jekyll is a remarkable piece of innovation. Not a weapon in itself, the Jekyll is in fact an implant, and a course of neural programming that takes just 30 minutes to complete. It basically turns a fully grown human into a ticking bomb.The subject is selected for his proximity to the target. a friend, or a relative perhaps. they are then programmed so that when they get within 4 meters of the target, they suddenly and without warning change into a Hyde Mk III. in 30 seconds they are transformed from a comparitively harmless individual into an 8ft tall killing machine, and they are programmed to destroy every last thing until they drop down dead. They will fight tirelessly, and will kill without mercy or hesitation, and will live for a maximum of 30 minutes after "detonation". perhaps the most ingenious thing is that prior to detonation there is no behavioral change at all. all they will remember of their implantation is a vaguely disturbing dream.

The spyder is perhaps in fact more reptile than arachnid. gecko-like pads on its fingers and prehensile toes allow it to stick to almost any surface (including glass), and chameleon-like dynamic camouflage make it a dificult to spot, though unfortunately not invisible target. perfect for spying, it is also covered in tiny poisoned spines instead of hair, which allow it to disable a man-sized organism near-instantly with a touch. The unit is also cold-blooded, meaning it escapes most motion-sensors and other infra-red alarms. The creature can see into the UV spectrum, and has UV flourescent patches above its eyes for illuminating dark rooms. unfortunately weapons hinder the creatures effectiveness, and they will frequently discard any equipment given to them, instead working naked and unarmed. this makes them badly suited to assassination. they do however make excellent spies, and excell at abduction and sabotage. Spyders have a lifespan of 5 years.

It is in fact not of human abstraction at all. a by-product of a bio-nano medical project, the protean is a mass of adaptive, recyclable stem cells. these cells adapt, becoming or creating whatever tissue is required, allowing the unit to effectively mould itself into the shape it requires to accomplish its goals. It is the ultimate master of disguise. The unit has a number of limits and safeguards put in place on it in order to stop it running out of control, and has also been given a number of behavioral restrictions. As with the Hydes, one person is imprinted into the unit as its master. the Master, and all persons genetically related to him/her/it, and anyone specified as a non-target are put on the "friend" list. these individuals are then completely safe from the unit, and the unit may not masquerade as, nor terminate anyone on its friend list except at the direct instruction of its master. This unit is the ultimate in espionage and assassination. however it has only one guarantee: it WILL get the job done, or die trying. unfortunately it will take as much time, and as many lives as it believes neccesary to reach its goal. The protean is capable of genius level intelligence, and will frequently stalk a target for months or years before even attempting to execute, and it will not return until it has accomplished its original mission. The Protean has an unknown lifespan, as no protean has yet died, but it is hypothesised that its lifespan could be in the hundreds, or even thousands of years. The protean is also not capable if improvising its shape beyond that of species it has come into contact with. The protean is a polyglot of immense skill, and can pick up new languages and dialects with amazing speed.
