A group known as PID (Psuedopolis Independance Drive) has seized control of about a quarter of Upper DGNT, as far south as Whatnow.

About 5,000 armed militia have are believed to have taken the northern city Pseudopolis and taken the military equipment stored there and a number of native Psuedopolans seemed to have joined them.
The total DGNT (both civilian and military) casualties appear to be approaching about two thosand, with a number of prisoners and hostages taken.
Currently the PID forces are moving east and west along the Whatnow rout towards GLACORP North and CLP1.

The Outskirts of GLACORP North
General Petnoy, commander of the Garrison of GLACORP North stared at the huge cityscape before him, towering monoliths of industry, the sky over GCORP N was about the same colour as the ground, steel grey with occasional flecks of black, brown and red. However, the ground was doing something unusual (more unusual than normal), today it was teeming with men in armour, tanks, and other defences of the City.
Most of the troops were digging in outside the city along a burm created by slag and other leavings of industry, a good bit of it had fused into a twenty foot thick wall of steel, titanium and other quite tough metals, making a very nice defensive barrier.
The only trouble was not getting tetnus.
The cities main defence, of course, was its huge shield generators, the things had been tested recently, and received a workover. Now they produced a shield which was (supposedly) %110 stronger than its original design capabilites.
Outside the shield about five hundred soldiers were going to attempt to hold of a thosand better armed, more determined, and quite well trained militia. Many were questioning the governments descision to stockpile North DGNTs weapons in Psuedopolis, after all, it was only the strongest defensive position in most of Dontgonearthere.
OOC: Basicaly, a group of people who support the splitting of DGNT back into its component parts (Psuedopolis, Al-Khali, G'oaway, D'pressin and Takrat) have taken over an area stretching from Psuedopolis to Whatnow and are about to attack GLACORP North and possibly CLP1.

"What!?!" Petnoy glared at the Captain who had just entered, the man was quite dirty and had a number of small wounds.
"Sir, the outer city has fallen, the rebels are too well equiped and our troops moral is too low, we are reestablishing our positions within the city, our only hope is to delay the rebels until SMC can arrange some deployments, the Marine squads are supposed to be arming now."
"Fine, whats the estimated damage to the manufacturing facilites?" This was a sensitive point, GLACORP Norths entire reason for existance was the production of arms, if the rebels gained control of it or destroyed it the weapons base of the northern part of DGNT would be in seriouse trouble.
"Nothing important so far, currently the power to the norther sector is out, but it should be reistablished momentarily. The rebels have captured an estimated thirteen percent of the city and are gaining ground. Our casulaty reports sir." The captain pushed a piece of paper forward. Petnoy looked at it
Infantry: 250
Armour: 52 FLASH, 10 Stumpy, 12 Bulldog, 2 Goliath
Mech: UNKNOWN
Aircraft: N/A
Well, better than expected. The UNKNOWN might be due to the fact that the factories were producing mechs and civilians were manning them, but some increadibly intelligent factory operator had'nt thought to keep track of who he was giving twenty foot tall killamajigs to. At least the Korogoth units werent produced here, a hundred foot tall bot with more guns than a battleship was not something he wanted roaming around in the hands of untrained operators. The N/A was most likely caused by the disbandment of DGNTs airforce in favor of atmosphere and space capable craft, a few had shown up, mostly doing recon runs, why there were so few attack planes around, Petnoy didnt know.
"Well captain, get back to the fight. Hold out as best you can and try to get some of those damn civis to calm down, some fool in a Pyro is torching his way through a public park occupied by no less than twenty pidgeons. Though I have no particular liking of pigeons, I must regretfuly inform you that this is a waste of valuable ammunition."
The captain saluted and walked out, grumbling about ammo wastage. Petnoy decided it was best to ignore it. Everybody was tense, a day under siege in this city was enough to make anybody mad. Ever since the dome had been blasted the storms had been getting in and most of the streets were packed with sand, not to mention the sewers, you needed full NBC protection just to go outside

GLACORP NORTH INDUSTRIAL WASTE DISPOSAL CENTRE
Private Bourke ducked as a PAAR rocket flashed over his 'trench', if you could call it that. The 'trench' was basicaly two piles of outdated weapons, empty fuel drums and whatever else could be found, the only thing between himself and a couple centuries of radioactivity was his suit, which thankfully had NBC sealing, though he was unsure if that included some of the things he had seen in the Yard as it was now called by the troops.
Slinging his GC-11 under his arm he climbed his way up the newly formed burm and fired a few shots off, about a twenty yards away in the other trench somebody started cursing.
Bourke smiled to himself. It wasnt that he was a cruel person, it was that he had seen three of the other men in his section shot, which was enough to make him want somebody else to suffer.
So far though, the situation was a stand off, both sides were dug in and it was looking like this was as far the rebel advance was going, two hundred men stood between them and the rest of the city behind him.
OOC:
Ok, the rebels are now at the monorail (grey line) intersection in north GCORP N, and in most places the fighting is underground or in trenches, the rebels have just crossed the river to the north-east of CLP1, and are about a half hour from launching their attack on it.
Ok...does anybody want to be the rebels? You get to attack me with no real consequences :)
whats wrong with runboard  .

About two hundred miles above GLACORP North
Captain Jim Knowles reached over and pressed the intercom button on his command chair.
"Gunnery Officer, range to target?" In combat nobody on the ship had a name other than what they did, Knowles thought it made people more effecient.
"Estimated two hundred and thirty two miles, time to target is two minutes, ten seconds. Weapons are fully charged and the fighter crews have prepped."
The Victory class Fleet Carrier was the ultimate in space carrier technology in the Dontgonearthere Naval Service, and was a force even without fighters.
For this mission though, the DNS Pincar had a full load, mostly bombers, since the rebels were not supposed to have fighters, but it never paid to be incatiouse about such things. Beside the Pincar were two of the Earth Defence Fleets corvettes, the U 235 and the Wnt'flt. Both were anti-fighter corvettes and atmosphere capable, though barely, they would be a bit vulnerable, but even so their main cannons were powerful enough to make up for that.
"We are over target now, commencing bombardment, fighter launch to begin in five."
The ship shuddered slightly as its forward guns fired, sending bolts of energy much, much larger than Volkswagons searing through the upper atmosphere, creating giant glass craters in the sand, as well as short lived pools of molten metal where unlucky rebel vehicles were positions.
Shortly thereafter small specks appeared in the normaly perfect (outside the cities anyway) DGNT sky, soon these began to glow cherry red as they reintered the atmosphere, almost a hundred bombers, fighters and other craft now made their way toward the prey on the ground.
OOC: C'mon people, you want the poor rebels to die, just like that?

>RETURN MESSAGE: ARRIBASTAN<
Assistance would be welcome, since you cannot supply troops of our technological level for frontline combat, we request you send in peacekeepers for rearline cities while the main forces are engaged in the north.
