A small string of four merchant ships, all over 7,000 tons, steamed through the horizon in front of a Macabee pocket battleship. All four ships carried the Xeraph flag.

The Macabee ship closed in and peppered the first merchant with her 16" guns, while the last merchant was sacked with two Mk48 torpedoes. The middle ships were wrecked by the smaller 8" guns and then by the 16" guns.

It was the first such pirate attack on the Macabee's newest target...

Neither Xeraph nor any ARM nations currently maintain a merchant fleet. I don't know what our flag is doing on a non-military ship, but my hunch would be that they are TBD vessels attempting to sneak out of the impending conflict in TBD waters.

They were most likely civilian merchant vessels from Xeraph, I think he's just scared. :lol:

With heavy trade in the areas near Macabees, the Federal Government is very worried over reports of merchant raiding. While they do not condemn Macabees for such actions, the heavy amount of Federal shipping in the area has many concerned that a Federal merchant ship may become targeted accidentally. To avoid such a situation, the 5th, 7th, and 14th Naval Squadrons have been dispatched from various other ports to Sevilla Naval Command (The principal Federal Navy base in the area, a port which we control on The Macabees) and all merchant ships coming into the area are being told to travel four strict routes, to group together with other inbound ships to be met by escorts from the soon to be reinforced Sevilla Naval Command.

Any ship found firing on a merchant ship or warship belonging to the Federal Republic or flying the colors of the Republic will be considered a hostile target and fired upon on sighting. Likewise any ship found flying the flag of the Republic that is not a Federal national ship will be detained and escorted to Sevilla Naval Command where the crew will be placed under arrest and the ship detained in the port.

AS stated, Xeraph does not have any merchant fleet, so anyone that wants to fire on a merchant vessal better be sure who they're attacking.

Unless it can be Proven i will not give permission for any Action on TBD, TBD has stepped down and accepted what was asked, so unless you can prove it was TBD no Orders will be Given.

Above the mist six merchant ships, also all above 5,000 tons, with the flag of Xeraph were spotted on sonar treading southwards, through the Augustan Ocean, off the Macabee Imperial Territory of Freemantia (conquered way before the Hitler III war w/ said nation). The six ship fleet trawled ever southwards swaying their flag proud and high.

2,000 meters off U-21 Class A Ausf. 1, commanded by Kapitan-Leutnant Joack Praeder, began to scan the line of ships, one by one. Xeraph had obviously made no move to attempt convoys, so it would be an easy kill. The u-boat slowly closed the distance to 1,200 meters and fired one spearfish torpedo at each merchant ship.

Praeder looked on and saw all torpedoes hit their target....

OOC: I'll leave casualties up to Xeraph or whoever wants to own the ships under Xeraph's flags.

The way ARM is set up, each nation has a particular function, in some cases, more than one. Each nation contributes their particular function to the whole alliance. For example, Xeraph is the representative for all of the nations of ARM, as well as having a small naval and air force. Other nations of the alliance also have military functions. Some have manufacturing capabilities, some have merchant fleets. We prefer to keep it that way, so that the various nations can respond to a given need
( not to mention the fact that it's easier to keep track of individual nations and their function ).


So, I guess everybody is entitled to their opinions as to what we SHOULD have, but only the leadership of ARM knows how each nation functions.

As stated, whatever nation is foolish enough to fly the flag of another is of no concern to Xeraph. Does anyone think that if Xeraph did have a merchant fleet that we would permit it to be unescorted by our navy?

If anyone want to pick a fight with us, that's ok. Just don't tell us what we HAVE to be like just because YOU think so.

Sorry to say, but our small Battleship Fleet might have destroyed them,. If they did, I wouldn't blame them. Whomever belongs to Imperialism should be destroyed.

I forgot to mention, the USSNR is an Official Enemy to any ARM member.
