After months of research and testing, Credonia has produced a small stockpile of EMP weapons to be used. These EMP weapons come in 2 forms: Strategic and Tactical. The Tactical EMP weapons come in the form of a missile and a bomb. The missile version of the EMP weapon uses a tomahawk cruise missile as the propulsion unit while the smart bomb version can come in the form of a regular bomb dropped from a bomber or fighter-bomber aircraft and the other comes in the form of a bunkerbuster bomb which penetrates deep into the earth and detonates, knocking out electronic systems housed in hardened underground bunkers.

The strategic version of our EMP weapon system uses an an existing ICBM system, the credonian designed Freedom ICBM. This ICBM carries only 5 EMP warheads instead of the normal 10, or 20 warhead version variants (which are fitted with nuclear, chemical ,or biological warheads). It is estimated that if 1 EMP warhead were detonated at an altitude of 400 km above its target, the blast would knock out all electrical circuits and destroy anythign electrical in a radius the size of Germany. If detonated 30 km above its target, it can cover up to 50 km from the point of detonation (These figures are actual).

The warheads come in many different variants to "control" the amount of damage done to a nation. The warheads operate on frequencies between 100 kilohertz to 10 megahertz. The most powerful version operates on a frequency of 100 megahertz (once again, this is actual data confirmed on globalsecurity.org).

Soon, most of Credonia's Mao Class Attack submarines will be outfitted with the tactical missile version of the Freedom ICBM equiped with EMP warheads. Soon a system will be developed to protect Credonia and its assets from future EMP weapon attacks by enemies.

Ours is advancing slowly but steadily - we've developed materials that should be well fitted to withstand the stresses of FTL travel, and am making progress with a power source.

Well, thtas just a risk i'll have to take. And if your meaning that your nation will personally see to it that we're dealt with accordingly, im not intimidated. Credonia will use such weapons in such a manner as to ensure the safety and security of itself, and its allies.

Actually a strategic level EMP is most defiantly a WMD esspecailly when un sheilded power stations start exploding...

The thing is against a modern foe EMP are of best use against civilian targets (as msot developed nations will have lots of shielding on all thier units).


of course using a WMD against Crookfur isn't an instant nuking. No we make thing much more interesting.

While nearly a trillion dollars of Credonia's own money has been poured into the research of these weapons systems, plans for our bunkerbuster bomb will be sent to your nation. We are still debating whether or not to send the Tomahawk missile design specs to you as they are the weapons that hold the most "EMP yielding" at this time.

Credonia also regards these such weapons as WMD's and will not distribute them to close friends and allies. They will fall under the same guidelines as WMD's described in our Foreign Policies.
