Nearly twelve thousand seperate major cultural fairs started off the three day holiday, which started the day befor the actual aniversery, highlighting the nations rich diversity in culture and population, with signifigant popularions of over two hundred distinct sentient species known to call Kanuckistan home, with highlights including historical craft demonstrations, language workshops, plays, cultural parades, archery and swordsmanship tourniments, historical highlights, and technology expos.
Spectacular artificial meteor showers highlighted the second day's celibrations, marking the 400th aniversery of the nation's inception; the literily millions of firey red, green, blue, and yellow lights visible at any one moment illuminating party-goers in near-daylight non-stop from dusk to dawn, insuring celibrations continued well past the wee hours of the morn.
The third had been set aside for recuperation, with no offical events planned; nevertheless, more than a few parties continued through the day and well into the evening, with many fairs only packing up after dusk, and numerous privatly organized youth-oriented events taking place.
Overall, despite the noise, it was a peaceful series of events, with only a several hundred fairly minor charges being laid, and only two serious injuries reported.
