Hallo everyone, me and a friend just a little bored, wondering if anyone wants to fight a war over an island, which is currently unoccupied and carries the importance of absolutely nothing, save for its plentiful diamond mines.

- Now 37 minutes away from the island, the Attack force, monikered STEP, began to close formation in preparation for the landing in a sort of inlet, located on the far western sector of the island, and the eventual establishment of a FBO. Commanche and Tigra Helicopters were sent in advance to check the beaches for any possible hostiles. Reports were clear. -

I have already been dropped upon the island by my C-130's all 8,000 of my superb 101st airborne division. No sightings of either diamonds or even mountains.

- STEP, nearing the island, the BMPs took point, the BTRs fell in behind them and the SuperLSTs kept to the rear of the formation as they were the juiciest target. The Escort fleet fell back and kept a distance of 10 miles from the Island, cruise missles and torpedos ready to go.

Within an hour Half of the BMP/BTRs had landed upon the Island without incident, and it was predicted the full force would be landed with 2 hours, as the inlet was not very large and the Super LSTs would have to be unloaded one by one after all the IFVs had landed -

Commandant Siegfried: Status report!

Intel Officer: The island is relatively small, but there is a large concentration of diamond mines underneath the surface. It seems that another group of people have been trying to mine this precious metal out of the ground, but has long abandoned the island.

Commandant Siegfried: Are there any visible buildings we can use as shelter and as HQ?

Intel Officer: There is a very small concentration of buildings on the north end of the island, but these buildings appear to be very old and worn down.

Commandant Siegfried: It looks like we will have to rough it tonight.

Comm Officer: Spetznaz group 5 and SEAL team 2 have just landed on the island, and Spetznaz group 1 and SEAL teams 5 and 7 are 10 minutes away from shore. SEAL team 6 had been delayed due to technical difficulties and will be airborne in 20 minutes.

Commandant Siegfried: Everything is moving decently...Thats good. Get me those satellite images, now!

Intel Officer: Yes sir.

Commandant Siegfried: Get me in contanct with Chancellor Keiji. Tell him that we are making quick progress. Then return to the ship in a few minutes to refuel.

Comm Officer & Intel Officer: Yes sir.

Commandant Siegfried: Also tell Spetznaz group 5 to capture and defend the biggest diamond mine in their area. Tell them to set up a temporary HQ there, also order SEAL team 5 to meet up with Spetznaz group 5.

Comm officer: Yes sir.

Commandant Siegfried: I am going to take a nap. So wake me up in 2 hours for the current mission briefing.

Boomer: Sure, right after I finish this test on the soil. I doubt there is any diamonds here. There are traces there were diamonds here, but I cant find any diamonds left.

Polaris: What? No diamonds? Boomer, report what you have found to Skytop 1.

{Gunshots heard}

Bludshot: It wasnt me.

Polaris: We're not alone. Boomer, get in contact with Skytop 1 right now!

Boomer: The main frequency is down. I am going to switch to the emergency frequency. Should I ask them to send another team down here to assist us?

Bludshot: What do you think? We arent sure who's attacking us or if we are even being attacked! We might need the reinforcements if the force we might be coming up against might be too large for us.

Polaris: Haha, hey there is no force too strong for our team. Haha...

Boomer: Fine. Whatever...I'm going to report in and also ask for some assistance. I am still waiting for the results of this soil test.

[Prime Minister Xanadu hangs up the phone and picks up another]

Xanadu: Supreme Commander Visilev, our friends at -Noir- need assistance securing an island with huge source of diamonds.

Visilev: Affirmed. [hangs up] Upload the coordinates and layout of this island now.

Officer: Map 1382956 uploaded.....Coordinates uploaded.

Visilev: We need 4 Deathmaker Sniper Teams and 4 paratrooper squads paradropped onto their exact locations. Get them dressed and assembled for briefing in 20 minutes. Assemble howitzer crews 1-10, Skull, Diablo, and Baker Companies, and Heavy support Squads 1-5 in 30 minutes and load them up on the transport carriers. We can't let our friends down at a time like this.

Officers: All crews notified. All crews shall leave for the island at 2300 hours. Time of drop-off point: 0400 hours.

Visilev: Good. We can't lose that island.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

[After a 5 hour ride, sniper squads drop 2 km from the location of buildings]

Vladimir: Radio HQ and let them know we're in. Have them ring in -Noir- and let them know we're providing support and on our way to the buildings to set up shop. We're moving now.

[sniper squads begin to make way to the buildings]

--------------------------------------------------------------------

[Paratroopers are mistakenly dropped somewhere]

Vincent: Damn it. Those pilots don't know shit about location. Everyone stand down and set up defensive positions temporarily until we figure out where we are. [pulls out GPS] Busted....[curses under breath] Anyone have a map?

Charlie: I do. [pulls it out and hands it to him] We're about 8 km from the buildings and if we keep walking northeast, we should make it before sunrise.

Vincent: Ok. We're moving out.

OOC: First time RP'ing, ready to learn :)

Liangite raiders brought word to King Mattingis V that a large island, vacant, with a considerable amount of diamonds had been found. He failed to inform him of the huge armies converging on it.

The Liangite scout approached the tent of his lord, Mattingis V, High King of the Liangites in exile, a huge tribe of Turko-Mongol horse-archers. Bowing the customary 4 times, he was prompted to give his information, and supplied such physical things and the location and size.

Liangite scout: Sir, the island is located across a sea to our east. Perhaps this could be the new home for our wandering people?

Mattingis contemplated this carefully. Could this be the end to their troubles?

KM: You are sure it is quite uninhabited? No one has it claimed?

At this the Liangite scout paused. Rumors had it the island was indeed claimed, but he was so ready for their great trek to end.

LS: Quite sure, your honor. It is empty and an ideal place to forge a new Liangite Empire.

Mattingis was still doubtful. How could an island such as this be uninhabited? Still, he did not doubt his spies. They were some of the best and stealthiest in the world.

KM: Very well, give orders for the men to begin construction on the rafts to ferry us across. Send out men to recall the raiding parties. Make sure this is done quickly, we can spare no time to lose. Gather excess wood for arrows. All the population except the children, elderly, and raiders must do nothing but build, eat and sleep until our transportation is constructed.

Mattingis began to envision a new Liangite Empire, centered on this island. Things were beginning to look up for his people. Finally.

[snipers make it to the buildings]

Vladimir: Seems like no one's here yet. Boys, We're setting up shop. Before we get comfy, check the buildings for anything useful and if they're safe enough to support us.

Sniper 1: Sir. The place looks like an old mining facility. We may very well be standing over diamonds.

Vladimir: They may be here already...look around for mine entrances and guard them with your life. If anyone other than -Noir- troops are here, kill them immediately. We're holding this until the other squads get here.

[20 snipers including Sniper 1 leave for scouting]

Sniper 2: The building is sturdy enough to hold us, sir.

Vladimir: Good. Look for good vantage points and get some snipers on top of the building. Radio in anything human or human-like.

Sniper 2: Affirmative. Let's move.

[5 snipers run upstairs, while another 10 spread out, looking for vantage points]

Vladimir: The rest of you, set up radio and temporary HQ here. Where the hell are those paratroopers?

------------------------------------------------------------------

[paratroopers stop and see some tall mountains with a trail leading to the top]

Paratrooper 1: Sir, there's a pack of mountains ahead. We could probably see around the whole island from the top.

Vincent: Hmm...Ok, we're moving up there and staying for the day until we find out where we really are and how to get to those buildings. It's a great vantage point and we could see who else is trying to take the land. Great work. Let's move it.

[Paratroopers change direction and begin to move up the mountains]

The rafts were complete and ready. Mattingis' mind was not. His envoy to Exonerate had yet to sent back, and his food supply dwindled with each passing day. Seventy-five million Liangites needed a home, and they needed one fast. It was either subordinancy under this new nation, Exonerate, or independance on this island. In the end, swayed by the pride of their past, the High King chose the latter. With one wave of his muscled arm, the first rafts began to ferry his entire people across to the island. With no modern technology, he could not know of any of the forces converging on or positioned on the island.

IC.

The first Liangite rafts began to land on the island, dubbed New Liang by the unsuspecting Liangites. Hundreds upon hundreds of the crude boats began landing on the eastern shore of this island, all of them carrying Liangites ready for the rebuilding of their lost glory. First came the raiding corp, about 20,000 strong, along with their horses and equipment (composite bows and arrows, light leather armor). These began to fan out along the eastern shore as more and more of the military branch of the Liangite people landed. King Mattingis V landed with a huge bodyguard contigent, planted the Liangite flag, and ordered Liangite scouts to begin probing the area. The vast, vast majority of the 75 million Liangites were still on the opposite shore, while hundreds of thousands were preparing to embark on the raft journey onto the shore. The plan was first the raiders, then half the men, the women and children, guarded by the rest of the men, would be sent across afterwards. One hundred thousand horse-archers were on the island, fannning out across New Liang, securing places as they went.

Paratrooper 1: [looking through binoculars] Sir, You might want to see this...There's a large number of rafts headed for this island. (Nudges Vincent, who is sound asleep)

Vincent (Waking up): [Takes binoculars] Damn it...wait...They seem very primitive, but high in number. Call in HQ and ask them for some reinforcements, APCs and another shipment of ammunition. This might be harder than I thought.

Paratrooper 1: Affirmative. [pulls out radio] There is a large number of possible enemy forces headed for the island. We request reinforcements, APCs, and additional crates of ammunition.

[back at HQ]

Officer: Sir, they're requesting reinforcements, additional vehicles, and additional crates of ammunition. It seems that the capture of this island may be more difficult than they thought.

Visilev: Why do they need that? Patch him through for me.

Officer: Yes sir.

Visilev: Is there something you need to tell me?

Paratrooper 1: Sir, there is a large amount of primitive possible enemy forces headed for this island, possibly in the millions. We may need more than what we have.

Visilev: Shit...You just sit tight. The howitzers and original forces are still headed to the island. Where are you right now? Are the snipers with you?

Paratrooper 1: No sir, we were misdropped thanks to the inexperienced pilots, but we have found a safe place with a great view of the island. There seems to be other nations here attempting to find evidence of diamond sources.

Visilev: I'll let the snipers know of your position and give you their frequency. Set up a rendezvous point with them and hold your position until you're sure where to meet them. Have you seen any -Noir- forces around?

Paratrooper 1: No, we've seen nothing face to face yet, but we can see a lot of possible enemy activity from all over the place.

Visilev (to the Officer): Get 50 APCs, 10 mortar teams, 8 additional infantry companies, 10 heavy support squads, and 2000 additional crates of ammunition loaded onto amphibious transport carriers ASAP. We need those reinforcements there before they know of our position. Let -Noir- know of our support and trade radio frequencies. This might get ugly.

Officer: Affirmative.

Visilev: I knew this would get worse...

(Picking up radio) Vladimir: Okay. Thank God they're alright. When are the extra troops coming to secure the mining facility?

Officer: Due to rough seas, they should arrive at 1100. Any sign of -Noir- forces?

Vladimir: None, but according to reports, they should be around this area. My men have secured the openings to a possible mine and are guarding it as we speak.

Stemongke, leader of the 10,000 man Liangite task force headed along the south rim of the beach, was shocked. There was a huge gap in the ground, extending into a long tunnel. At first wary of any sort of native life on the island, he slowly ordered 200 men down into the mine (for these were known to the Liangites) to search. They found diamonds, also recognized by the Liangites, but until now not possessed by them. He was overjoyed. Not only was it vacant, it had mineral wealth! Sending 20 men back to report to the main body of Liangite troops on the eastern part of the island, he posted his 10,000 men around the deposit, still believing they were alone on the island.

Bayephen, leader of the 10,000 man Liangite task force headed along the northern rim, was in high spirits. His family was still on the other side of the strait, but soon they would have a new home. Nothing unusual yet, and as the entire Liangite nation had been led to believe they were alone on the island, they were unworried, though they were all 10,000 mounted with composite bow and arrow and leather armor at the ready. Talking with his friends, Bayephen slowly turned up as an audible gasp rose from the Liangite task force. Far off in the distance could be seen structures, of what origin none knew. They were huge by Liang's standards, though some of the older members remembered that in Liang's glory days such things were dwarfed. Nevertheless, this demanded a report to the High King, and 50 men were dispatched, while the Liangite task force did not advance any further.

King Mattingis watched as more and more rafts landed and made the return journey, as thousands more Liangite troops landed. His army had by now swelled to 150,000 horse-archers, and recon forces had been sent North and South. For now, he waited for news.

[Commander Price and the rest of the envoy see the buildings in sight]

Price: My God....take a look at this dump...

[Snipers wave a makeshift yellow and black flag, the colors of Audiophilia]

Sniper 2: Over here!!!

[Price waves back]

Price: Get those howitzers and heavy support squads set up to form a defensive perimeter around the establishment.

Lt. Dan: Yes sir. Let's move. Squads Green and White secure and set up on the west side of the buildings. Squads Black and Gray set up on the East side. Blue squad, take the south. Skull, follow Green and White. Diablo, you take Black and Gray. Baker, you're with Blue. we'll need 3 howitzer crews per group, with the last one facing south East. Go go go!

[Price walks into the building and greets Vladimir]

Vladimir: Price. How've ya been?

Price: Not too bad. How are things here?

Vladimir: Quiet...too quiet. But the storm's on its way. Things will get ugly unless we get some alliances built up in this mess. Vincent and two of the paratrooper squads are on their way to talk to possible enemy troops. They're extremely primitive, but they've power in numbers.

Price: Vincent, he's a good man. He knows what he's doing.

Vladimir: Let's hope so.

Bayephin looked with mixed interest, regret, and shock as a small force exited the building. Immediately a Liangite horsemen bolted off to inform the High King, who would undoubtedly want to speak to them himself. They were strangely clothed, holding metallic sticks the likes of which the Liangites had never seen. This would be an extreme blow to Liangite fortunes. There were people here after all.

They were waving flags, and even in the former Liangite Empire this was known as a truce sign. Bayephin walked up with a guard unit of over 5,000 men, considered surrounding them, thought better of it, then proceeded to address them. "Foreign people, the Liangite spies are almost never wrong, and when they are it is a rare coincidence. What is your business on this island, and what is your feeling towards us of the mighty Liangite Empire?" Bayephin could not know that they already knew of the millions more that the High King could unleash. Tensions were high, perhaps exacerbated by the fact that 200 compositebows were aimed at the various strange men infront of him.

Later on, the High King Mattingis V got word from a messenger going as fast as his horse could carry him and more. Mattingis mobilized 50,000 men, even as thousands more poured into the island, and rode off towards the north, all the while sending a messenger south to inform the southern party.

Not yet arrived at his destination in the north, Mattingis sent a messenger back to the main camp, where thousands were still arriving, to order 15,000 more men to the diamonds to the south. If there were foreigners in the north, there was no reason they couldn't be in the south.

Vincent (Yelling to the possible Liang leader): We have heard reports of a possible large diamond source here and gave tried to help out a fellow nation in procuring it. It seems that there are several other nations here, also attempting to take the island. We have put away our weapons and would like to talk about a peace proposal. The others here outgun the both of us greatly and we'll easily be annihilated if we choose to fight one another. We'll be walking towards your encampment now. Please do not fire. I repeat, we have put away our weapons and will be walking over in a peaceful manner.

Vincent (whispering to Paratrooper 1): Call in Vladimir. Get the howitzers in place. Keep the radio on and let them know if any sounds of violence are heard, cover the area with fire.

[Paratrooper nods and radios it in]

Paratrooper 1: Vladimir, Captain Vincent wants you to position Howitzers 1-4 2 km away from the enemy encampment. Be on stand-by and stay silent on the other line. We'll leave the radio on and if any signs of possible conflict are heard, commence firing.

Vladimir: Yes sir. Price, move howitzers 1-4 2 km from the enemy encampment and standby for further instructions.

Price: Affirmative. Boys, we're moving out.

Paratrooper 1: Any sign of reinforcements?

Vladimir: We've been radioed by HQ that they are within viewing range of the island and will be embarking in an hour.

Paratrooper 1: Good, we'll need those APCs and heavy support troops protecting these barbarians if an alliance strikes up.

Vladimir: ...ok...Over and out.

Vladimir was reluctant to spread the troops out, instead of protecting the buildings and waiting for signs of -Noir- troops to arrive and help securing the possible mine. But he realizes that having an extra million troops on their side would even the odds of having a piece of the island, even if they were primitive.

Bayephin delayed returning an answer to the small force facing him for a long, aggravated amount of time until the High King with 50,000 men arrived. Without a second thought, clad in golden armor on a huge black horse, High King of the Liang, Mattingus V strode up to the foreign troops in front of him, having been briefed on their goal. He could not know of the howitzers aimed at his position, nor even of the power their advanced weapons had, only the appearance of a tiny group of men in front him, without even horses. He assumed they were at his mercy, and his natural pride showed in his voice.

"It appears that your situation is unworkable, Mr..ah, whoever you are. My people, the Liangites you see before you, have wandered for many, many years, and we are weary of it. This island WE claim as ours, for even if I tried I could not get them to leave what they most want, a home, and thousands more arrive every minute, bolstering my ranks. The diamonds? What need have we for diamonds! All we need is a home. You can have 60% of the diamonds [he failed to mention th supply currently under the control of 25,000 Liangite troops to the south] income if we are allowed to keep this island as a homeland. Fail to comply, and you and every last one of your men will be pierced with dozens of arrows, your buildings ruined, and your possible profits from the diamonds non-existent. As for the other nations, I will deal with them the exact same way you are being dealt with [in his pride/ignorance, the High King still have no idea of the power he is against in the form of technology]. Your help is greatly appreciated, but I am sure we can handle this island quite on our own. As mentioned, you may have 60% of our diamond profits."

The High King Mattingus had respect for them, but to him they seemed in no position to bargain.

Polaris: We've been walking for hours!!!!

Bludshot: Its only been 30 minutes...

Polaris: Argh...It must be the heat.

Bludshot: I still wonder why and how you got into the Spetznaz...

Polaris: I am good with computers and intel. Hacking is one of my strong points. I am also good with wilderness survival tactics and methods.

Bludshot: You say you are good with the outdoors, but now you're complaining about how hot it is in here.

Polaris: Wilderness as in jungles, rainforests, and deserts. But there is one thing that puzzles me, a cave in this environment shouldn't be this humid, i don't know why, but I have a feeling about this mission. We haven't gotten word from the other forces yet.

Boomer: You're right, I haven't noticed that we have been walking around down here without any radio contact from Skytop 1.

Bludshot: It's just a routine mission, we just need to keep moving.

{A swift, strong, and sudden breeze of warm air blows through the group as they walk down the tunnel}

Polaris: It's as if the tunnel doesn't want us in here.

Bludshot: Don't panic, we must be near an abandoned air vent or some opening in the tunnel ceiling.

Boomer: I have a really bad feeling about this island.

{Spetznaz group 5 continues down the tunnel. While in Skytop 1, Commandant Siegfried, is deeply disturbed at the new of the disappearance of Spetznaz group 5}

Siegfried: I can't believe that they have been out of contact for more than 3 hours.

Comm Officer: The last transmission we got from them was about gunshots, the missing diamonds, and asking for reinforcements.

Siegfried: Did you send them the reinforcements?

Comm Officer: No, not yet. All the other teams are occupied right now. But I informed all the team leaders that they should head down to where Spetznaz group 5 is and assist them. They will carry out this order once the forward command post is set up, which is already operating, and when their immediate area is clear of all hostiles.

Siegfried: Good, good. I want to get back to the carrier for something to eat. Pilot, lets head home for the night. Tell the other helicopters that a refueling plane is on its way.

Pilot: Affirmative.

{The pilot turns on the radio to inform the other Pavehawks travelling with the Expeditionary force that Skytop 1 is heading home}

Pilot: Alpha and Sierra Squadron, this is Skytop. We are heading back to base. A refueling plane is coming to assist you in a few minutes.

Alpha Squadron leader: Affirmative Skytop, we are holding position until refueler arrives.

Sierra Squadron Leader: Negative Skytop. There are reports of heavy enemy fighting in sector 24 of the island. We will be deploying survallience drones to scout the area before the SOF teams move into the area.

Pilot: Comm take over for me, I need to fly the plane.

Looking back, it seems the -Noir- forces had landed on and entered a diamond mine in the south. If that is the one in the south-east they currently have 25,000 Liangite troops overhead.

Stemongke was worried. All the hopes and dreams the Liangites had cherished, of a vacant, rich island in which to build a new empire, had been dashed at the news of foreign occupation. Apparently they were'nt natives, and in it for the diamonds. We could easily give those up for a home, Stemongke thought. Nevertheless, with this development Liangite forces stopped stringing themselves out. If these Audiophilial men could be trusted their were other, stronger powers on the island. For now, Stemongke was content to guard the diamond area, and maybe something else, too. He sent a hand-picked 500 men deep into the humid mine, searching for where you could surface and if anyone was down there. He sent a messenger to the still-arriving hordes of Liangites in the certain for 10, 000 reinforcements, while the same request for an additional 50,000 was riding from the High King's position.

Still eyeing these newcomers with contempt, and waiting for the expected additional 50,000 men from his encampment, thereby swelling the ranks in the north to 110,000 Liangites, the High King Mattingus waved his scimitar to a tent set up in the encampment, all the while the composite bows were trained on the men. "In here, Vincent. Do you have any rank among your people? I would hope someone important would be sent to deal with a High King, but I guess that can't be helped. Now, from what you told my subordinate, there are other forces on this island besides you and me. Oh yes, and you my refer to me as High King, though my common name is Mattingus V, and I rule over 75 million Liangites on their way to settle on this island. As I already mentioned, any prolonged stay by you and your men is quite out of the question, though I am willing to listen to temporary alliance proposals. Perhaps you could tell a little something about the other forces on this island, which ones are potential friends or enemies?"
In his mind the High King laughed. He should probably be treating this man with respect, but whatever nation he had allegiance with had obviously sent a low-ranking personnel to confer with a High King, something guaranteed not to score points with the Liangites.

The High King looked at the strange device, and after being told how to work, promply blasted a nearby stallion with it. The effect on the Liangite forces was instanteous. Far too professional to be frightened in that sense of the word, the Liang warriors were awed. Turning to Vincent, he asked the rhetorical question. "And there are many people armed with these?"
Mattingus' mind computated a million different things in teh space of a second. "Very well, Vincent of Audiophilia, until all enemy forces have been driven off the island, you are being permitted to stay (the High King's tone grew more respectful, realizing that any fight with this nation would most likely still end up in victory, but with a terrible cost of life to Liang. "After that time, you WILL leave, and you may or may not take the 60% diamond profits offered to you. I am assuming you will inform us of any occurences. Meanwhile, what is our next move?"

The High King inwardly contemplated. He sent Caidi to the unimaginablely huge forces massed on the eastern coast, to oversee the continued arrival of the Liangites and the possible expansion along the eastern coast.

Back in the tunnel, patrols were going out and never coming back. Mengqi had enough natural sense to realize that something was down there. Immediately he began withdrawing 380 remaining men back to the surface. Then, the remnants of a patrol came running through a tunnel to the north, calmly informed Mengqi that unknown forces had wiped out all patrols, and that he had better withdraw in all haste to the surface. He complied without even a question.

{The three of them jump out from where their hiding spots pointing their weapons at the indistinct group of people. But it is clearly visible that they are starting to raise their hands to surrender, there for the team holds fire}

Boomer: Drop your weapons and put your hands on your head!!!

{Then one of the unknown soldiers speaks up, surprisingly in a young womanly voice}

Unknown Soldier: Jack is that you?

Boomer: What???

Soldier: Jack it is you!!! I can tell that "What???" from a mile away.

{The woman turns around and stares at the three man squad. The other 8 soldiers follow suit}

Soldier: It's me Rose. SEAL team 1...

{Rose walks over to Boomer and gives him a small kiss on his cheek. Boomer stares dumbstruck at the woman}

Boomer: Uhhhh...

Rose: You could at least say thanks and apoligize for ambushing us.

{Polaris starts laughing his head off}

Polaris: Hahaha!!! Jackie its your 'girlfriend'!!! Hahaha!!! You almost shot your own 'girlfriend'!!!

{Boomer starts turning red in the face}

Boomer: She's not my girlfriend!!! She is just a close friend since high school.

Bludshot: It didn't look and sound like that on the flight here.

{Boomer turns around and gives Bludshot a betrayed stare}

Boomer: I thought you were on my side!!!

{Bludshot's mouth jaw drops}

Bludshot: Did I just say that out loud!?!?

{Polaris's laughter gets louder. Rose looks impatiently at the Spetznaz team.}

Rose: Come on you guys!!! Quit acting like 3rd graders!!! We got a mission to do and a cave to explore!!! And I don't want to be beaten to this cave by SEAL team 5, who is also on their way, just a few meters behind us. We also got a report that one of the other SEAL teams has just contacted a small military unit from Audiophilia and gave them your location, I am still waiting for a reply on what they will do.

Boomer, Polaris, & Bludshot: Yes, ma'am.

{Both the SEAL team and Spetznaz team continue on inward into the mine. A mysteriously eriee and terrifying shriek sounds through the mine, but by the time the sound had traveled to the location of the group, it had shrunk to the size of a slight whsiper}

Stemongke, Southern Commander of Liangite forces, was on the verge of sealing up the southern mine after what he had just heard. The twenty men that had encountered them had no idea other than the fact that had stumbled on dead bodies with these...things...standing over them. They beat a hasty retreat, but not before closing some of the tunnels leading into the yet unnamed creatures lair. Tidings had just been received of the agreement with Audiophilial forces in the north, but the men seemed sure these things were not human. The decision was finally made to keep a close watch and guard over the entrance and a few tunnels close to the surface, and send tidings of these things to the High King.

OOC: What do you want me to do? I haven't encountered your people yet.

Sgt. Moody of Diablo Company didn't know about what was there, as long as his trigger finger got some action, he could care less. Diablo Company walked along the Mining Facility until seeing the cave in the distance.

Lt. Jackson: Sir, we're here, but the Sniper Squad's nowhere to be found.

Moody: Well, look around guys. They should be here somewhere.

As Moody looked around, he found a smashed up radio on the floor with empty casings all over the place. He saw weird footsteps leading to the mine entrance, along with tracings of dragged feet. He heard rustling in the bushes and pulled out his HK PDW, ready for action. He poked around and heard moans of pain. There were 4 wounded snipers and 3 paranoid ones, with wide eyes, shivering as they looked around. Among them, Sgt. Evans, the radio operator talking to Vladimir before the it was damaged

Moody: Jesus...what happened here?

Evans: W-we were ambushed...by th-these...these things...I don't know, I fired a couple rounds before they overcame us and I ran. These 2 did the same and we tried to save some, but...but the rest were dragged away into the cave...[mentally breaks down and cries] I tried..Oh God I tried but I couldn't save them...

Moody: Ok ok, we're taking you guys back. Half of you stay here with me, we're gonna check this out. Jackson and the rest of you, take the Snipers back to base and report our current findings to Vladimir.

Diablo Company split up and went their seperate ways. Into the cave Moody and his men went, hoping to find the rest of the snipers.

--------------------------------------------------------

Vincent: I don't know what to do but-

Just then, General Trovsky, along with Cliff Company and 3 APCs, came up in the horizon.

Before the Archers could fire onto their position, Vincent ran in front of them.

Vincent: No no! Those are our guys don't worry.

Then again, if it was your first time seeing a steel behemoths like that, you'd want to kill it too.

Vincent: General Trovsky (shakes his hand) This is High King Mattingus. High King Mattingus, General Trovsky.

Trovsky shook his hand while looking around at the myriad of different people. It was like watching the History Channel, but not really.

Trovsky: Good Lord, that's a lot of people....well, uh...it'd be pretty difficult to move all your people to our base. I think you can hold your own here. (Pulls out radio). Vladimir, we may need more men over here to set up another possible base here to protect High King Mattingus and his people. We have to ensure that they will be spared from possible Soviet attacks.

Vladimir: I don't know if I can do that General. There's something fishy going on here and I can't let anyone out of here. It might be Soviets with chemical weapons of some sort. ut I can't risk spreading everyone out like this.

Trovsky cursed.

Trovsky: Looks like we're on our own here, but I think we'll manage.

Mattingus scoffed, after his temporary shock at the sight of the metallic things lumbering towards him. "Protection! I do not think it is us who is in need of the protecting! From the sounds of it is you in need of protection! I suggest you consider announcing yourself before barging into our compound, as I was about to take your life. The questions posed to this man here *waves scimitar at Vincent* apply to you as well. I expect to be informed of occurances on this island, and this person may explain our condition and terms of your staying here." (of course such things as walkie talkies were stilll wonders to the High King)

The High King was being haughty, but he hated being treated as some sort of fragile baby. He was going to be taken seriously, damnit, and that was that!

Back at the southern end, Stemongke contemplated. It was bad enough that he had lost men, but Mattingus had yet to send word on what to do. For now, he would maintain his guard over the first level of underground tunnels.

3 atlantis class submarines quietly prowl the seas... coming up on the radar are 5 blips that seem to be extruding diesel fuel or some like substance.

"ready at all weapons, kids. lets go."

the atlantis submarines slowly approched...

OOC:
stats for atlantis:
Designation: Combat
Environment: Underwater
Armor Thickness: Variable (3" to 3'), steel, titanium, and living tissue
Size: 2,500 ft x 100 ft x 100 ft
Armaments: Twenty Heavy Plasma Cannons, 60 minigun turrets, nukes (up to 15), anti-ship mines, 40 torpedo tubes
Top Speed: 750 mph
Max. Troop Compacity: 1,000
Specs: The Atlantis Class of submarines are akin to an underwater base rather than just a normal sub. Huge and able to take on an entire fleet, these subs are even more feared than the notorious Triton neuclear submarines. It employs the same cells that octopi use for camophlauge to disguise itself from foes as a rock formation or as a pattern of sand. This, when coupled with its sonar-absorbing skin, make it completely invisible. It employs fluid breathing and Plasma energy to make it entirely self-sufficent, and it uses a aquatic version of the scramjet engine to make it the fastest sub on Earth. It emploies plasma torpedos and plasma beams, making it have the most advanced arsenal of any sub in existance.

The High King restrained his rage at the impertinence. Turning to Bayephen, he whispered in Liangite, "Who does this guy think he is? Without our good will he would be dead!"
He watched as this Trovsky person left to investigate the happenings in the north. He had no doubt they were the same trouble plaguing his own forces to the south, which reminded him. What should he do? He dispatched a letter commanding an additional 10,000 men to the south, along with instructions for Stemongke to hold his position and await orders. Mattingus was no longer content to sit on his considerable hold in the eastern part. This island was his people's now, and he intended to exercise his claim. Without even bothering to notify his allies, he left Bayephen in command, and then set out for his main troop body, where upwards of 470,000 men had massed.

-With the Socialist's IFVs sweeping the entire Eastern Coastline, nothing seemed to stand in their way of the highground, at least until the scout BMPs got back, 7 BMP-1/2/3s had been sent roughly thirty minutes earlier to scout the South of the mountain, then circle the north and report back. Their orders were to return fire only, as they couldnt risk an attack since their defenses hadnt been expanded to their new territory yet, but should be within hours as new SAM3s and other Mounted Weapons were being unloaded from 2 more LSTs which had come to drop other supplies to the 60,000 Socialists currently on the island. Makeshift airbases had also been established, and were currently being paved to make way for F-16VE fighter/bombers, and A-10/b/c ground attack aircraft, which were going to be flown in in 2 days to fight the lack of air power in the Socialist ranks. -

"In the Scout BMPs...."

Commander Lauderbakken, BMP Platoon Leader, Commander, Rear BMP-2 - "Alright platoon, we're coming up over the ridge in 15 minutes, stay sharp."

Sergeant In Ranks Josiel, Commander, lead BMP-1 - "Yes Sir, ill have the team go to open ranks, we're ready for anything...except perhaps a 250,000 man army, wielding bows and spears."

-The radio broke into laughter-

Lauderbakken - "Okay thats enough Josiel, i dont think that'll happen, but stay ready anyway, we havent made contact with known enemy forces yet and we expect large numbers across the Eastern sector of the island. Damn those suits, if they let us take those Tigras into the air, we wouldnt have to be ground pounding like this."

Josiel - "Well, sir, they did. At least they were nice enough to give us these nice, refitted APCs, we could be out there on foot getting bitten my mosquitos and such."

Lauderbakken - "Well, you're right i guess. You always know how to make me feel worse Josiel."

Josiel - "Any time sir!"

Private First Rank Johnson, Gunner, Lead BMP-1 - "All's clear up front, we've got good squaring until the next hill, then we can make visual contavt with the base of the mountain and surrounding area."

Josiel - "Cleared, Commander, we are cleared until next saddle."

Lauderbakken - "Roger that, rack em up and make ready for visual contact with mountain base."

Josiel - "Yes sir, all weapons systems going hot, BMPs 1-7 armed and ready, systems nominal."

Lauderbakken - "Roger, sit tight."

- The BMPs continued across the low saddle, until falling into line formation and summiting the hill simultaneously -

Josiel - "Sir?........"

- Sergeant Josiel, along with the rest of the Scouting unit had made visual contact with the Southern Liang Army. -

Lauderbakken - "Its...Its unbelievable....they're HUGE...****ing HUGE, and so many of them....DAMN THEM, why couldnt they give me those tigras."

Josiel - "Sir, we dont know they are hostile...."

Lauderbakken - "Correct Sergeant, make vocal contact with them and hope for the best, weapons at the ready."

"Attention unknown forces, declare your allegiance, or risk destruction by the United Socialist Forces on their way to occupy this island, and all structures within."

Rose: So we were sent here for nothing?

Boomer: I bet HQ didn't know that there are no diamonds on this island since...60 years ago.

Rose: I see...Well, looks like we will just have to find out what that strange creature was, and explore that cave.

Boomer: Yeah, I guess your right. I was wishing Skytop would call us and tell us to pull out...Then we could find a nice quiet resturant and room in that country we passed by to get supplies. It was Audiophilia right?

Rose: Why don't you ask Moody, Polaris's friend.

Saber: Uh-huh. But I served in the Secret Service before being transferred to SEAL Team 1.

Sure-Shot: I see...What do you specialize in?

Saber: Hostage rescue situations, terrorist psychology, and close-combat weapons. I am very proficient with the sword.

Mengqi looked at the same behemoths he had seen earlier, only this time they were under a new nation, under Socialist control. However, of all things, he was not ready to be submissive to these newcomers. He gave orders for his 100,000 men to be ready to fight, though how they would fare against this new force, he could not know.
"We are of the Liangite people, we seek to settle on this island. The entire eastern half is under our control, our warriors number in the millions. This island has been claimed as the new home for the Liang people, what you see before is just a recon group. Now that we have answered your questions, we expect to receive the same. Who are YOU, what is YOUR purpose here!" Before the Socialist forces could answer, Mengqi told off a messenger to go to the High King.
"Hundreds of thousands more men are on their way here, so think carefully before you attempt force against our men. We are ready to wipe out your paltry force!"

To the north, the High King got word of the situation to the south. Sending a messenger back to the eastern coast requesting 100,000 more men, he raced his 250,000 men around the mountains, until the Socialist forces up ahead could be seen.

The 20mm, 73mm, 30mm, and 100mm guns were trained upon the ranks of the enemy, constantly scanning the massive formation for any signs of threat. -

Josiel - "Sir, they speak perfect English, and are not willing to leave, or give up. They want to settle the island, sir."

Lauderbakken - "Yes, I heard. Tell them we will not remove ourselves, and are prepared to defend our ground to the greatest of our ability. They have only primitive weapons, but their numbers are great. Remind them that they are not the only large force in the world."

Josiel - "Yes Commander."

-He once more got onto his loadspeaker-

"Warriors of "Liang", the USSS claims this island and all structures within, you will not be permitted to settle this land. If you chose not to leave, you shall be dealt with accordingly. The USSS also has millions of troops, and is not afraid to commit them to this island in order to clense it of your presence in the event of hostilities between our nations. You have 1 hour to respond before we open fire."

-the loudspeaker goes quiet-

Private in Ranks Johnson - "Commander, we have recieved reports the Western lines have been fortified, and the coastlines are secured from air and sea assault, the 203s are also in position and are ready to fire on your command. *radio transmission* Um, we also have the use of the 3rd Air Cavalry division, their Hinds have just been unloaded from LST # 7."

Lauderbakken - "Excellent Private, we'll see who laughs last on this island."

Josiel - "All BMPs comfirmed, Saggers locked and loaded, ready to fire on your command sir."

The High King whipped around the northern mountains, until he saw the Socialist forces, though he was separated from his 100,000 men under Mengqi. Messengers had rode at furious paces between the two armies, informing the entire Liangite force on the island of the chaos abotu to erupt.

The High King himself raised his voice to a roar, something he was famous for, then addressed the Socialist forces.

Hello, Socialist forces. I am High King Mattingus V of Liang. Men of the USSS, listen to reason. We are not an invading army, seeking this land for our own imperialistic ambitions. Our entire people, numbering 75 million, has landed and is landing as I address you. It will be quite impossible for them to leave. Would you deny an entire people a home? I am sure that whatever you seek on this island can either be found somewhere else or given to you from our people once we are established on this island. I await your answer, but my people will not be leaving. Think of the lives at stake here, both of your men and my entire nation."

Though adopting a peaceful tone, the High King resolved that he must be prepared to fight. Messengers were sent back to the main camp, detailing instructions for catapults to be build from spare raft parts. Meanwhile, 100,000 Liang reinforcements arrived in Mengqi's camp, boosting the total Liang forces facing the Socialists to 450,000 men.

- The Socialist BMPs still stood like gargoyles atop the ridge, all silent but for the Multi-fuel gas turbine engines, which spouted smoke like breath from a demon.

Out of the Liang Field of view, about 30 feet down the opposite side of the ridge where the BMPs stood, moved Captain Easly and his DeathDealer sniper's brigade of 100 men, each carrying 5 shot, semi auto, 15mm Discarding sabot sniper rifles, which can accurately hit the antennae off an ant at over 400 yards. Easly and his men silenty took up positions in nearby brush and trees, surrounding the BMPs. Only slight movement could be seen as they carried on them the latest in camouflage technology. A sort of digital reactivation ghille suit, which is remeniscent of a Chameleon's skin. Easly gave the thumbs up to Lauderbakken's rear camera as he himself took position in a nearby thicket. -

Lauderbakken - "Okay, they're here. Sergeant, ask them where they came from to call this place home, and why they cant simply go back. If they feel they have no conveyance, tell them they can use some of our SuperLSTs to go back to their native land, as i do not see 75 million people springing from the water. Otherwise We will not back down until we control every square inch of this island, along with every diamond within. Plus, make sure not to mention our....plans for this area. That would spoil the suprise for everyone now wouldnt it?" - an evil grin came over his face -

Josiel - "Yes Commander"

-He once more picked up the transmitter-

"You have thirty minutes remaining."

-Setting down the transmitter-

Lauderbakken - "Good"

Easly - "Sir, i have what seems to be an officer in my sights, preparing to fire on your command."

Lauderbakken - "Very well Captain, wait for my command."

The High King was in shock. These people seemed unable to listen to reason, common sense, anything. They seemed determined to throw all people off this island, though he could sense ulterior motives. No one in their right mind would massacre a people for the sake of a paltry island such as this. He could not withdraw. His people had wandered for so long, their would be a regular mutiny if he told them to withdraw again, but something told him this did not matter to the cold-hearted people in these montrous beasts. Could his warriors defeat them? It was a dangerous game he was playing, he suspected a bluff.
One thing was for sure, he would rather die than watch as his people were forced into another long period of wandering. As every minute passed, both forces were strengthened, but time was on the Socialist side.
Messengers were sent to Bayephen to bring his 110,000 to the fray. The escape route if the battle went awry was located as the mines to the northeast. He sent a commander to the main Liang forces, ordering all Liang arrivals to the mines near Stemongke's position.

Meanwhile, construction on the first two catapults had been finished, more were commissioned. With an escort of 10,000 riders they were moving towards the Liang forces.
The High King was tempted to order the attack, but could he really do anything against the metal behemoths?
He now played his last card, one that was sure to bring on war when it was exposed.
Raising his voice one more time, he yelled: "Very well, Socialist forces, we will withdraw our people. It will not be easy, but we have extensive raft tranportation availible, in the meantime, our main armies will withdraw East. Allow us a few days to remove ourselves."

OOC: This might be my only post for the day, I've got a crapload of homework.

IC

Vincent felt empty as the High King decided to withdraw all his forces. Without the Liangites, they would be sure to lose the island to the Soviets.

Just then, a giant explosion was heard from the center of the island with a scatter of gunfire. Vincent looked to it and saw a small green object moving towards them, getting larger by the second.

Vincent: Move out! It's gonna hit us!

Audiophilian troops scattered about as the object hit the earth. The impact threw steel shrapnel about as the object exploded on impact. No Audiophilian forces were harmed, but they looked at it. It was one of the 3 APCs Trovsky brought with him to the mountains. Vincent prayed that he was still alive.

Vincent: Come in! Trovsky! Are you there!

Coughing was heard on the other line, with more gunfire.

Trovsky (Coughing): Yeah, if you can say that. Those things that got the paratroopers are taking us as we speak, we're down to our last APC and we're losing men by the minute. These things are multiplying by the second! They'll kill us all if we don't move now! We need reinforcements, bombardments, ANYTHING! (More gunfire) HU-

Just then, another explosion was heard and seen. The mountain top exploded as hundreds of unknown creatures swarmed out of the hole. The line was dead as Vincent looked on with horror.

- The sun began receeding, as it was nearly 5:50 on the island. Seeing that they needed to report this back to base ASAP, they decided to leave the area for the time being, without saying another word the the Liangites. With a sounding "thud", the rear doors of the BMPs fell to the ground, the snipers disengaged their camouflage, and climbed into the rear of th 7 BMPs, it being a little crowded since they are only designed to hold 12 men a piece. And with a decided roar, they turned around, keeping their turrets trained in the position of the Liangites, and disappeared back over the hill. -

Lauderbakken - "HQ is gonna have something to say about this one....."

Josiel - "Perhaps they will listen to reason. Maybe they will give sanction to those people, perhaps the government will alott an island for them to live on. Or they will want them all dead, you'll never know."

Lauderbakken - "Meh, either way im good."

Josiel - "You're terrible sir...."

Lauderbakken - "You would be too if you had to command a bunch of dumbasses around every day..."

Johnson - "Hey, i resent that."

Lauderbakken - "Shut up Johnson, I didnt name anyone."

Johnson - "Oh...."

-Arriving at the main portal to Socialist Territory-

Josiel - "Wow, i didnt know we brought so much crap with us." (referring to the many PKM and Dashka emplacements, lined along the Socialist's Border. SAM3s were just being unloaded from trucks and moved to various parts of the area)

Lauderbakken - "You gotta say yes, to another excess."

-The BMPs pulled into an armor pool and parked alongside each other, where the doors once again fell, and Easly and his men departed the BMPs, heading for the mess tent. Each of the 7 BMPs then unbuttoned (drivers, gunners, and commanders hatch open) and the men climbed out to report to General Darva, who was in the Radio Tent calling in more supplies. -

Lauderbakken - "General Darva, Sir"

General Darva - "Ah, Bakk, what's the report on the mountains? We clear to move through?"

Lauderbakken - "Well you see th/"

Johnson - "There are huge bitches, and lots of em out there! They got swords and stuff!"

Lauderbakken - "Johnson SHUT UP."

Darva - "Wait, what is he talking about?"

Lauderbakken - "Well, there is a nomadic people wishing to settle this island, millions of them are already here, and millions more on the way. They have a very substantial army, but are poorly equipped to combat us. They do however, seem to be pulling out."

Darva - "I see, well, if they dont, do what you gotta do."

Lauderbakken - *A slight look of anguish on his face* "Yes Sir."

- The 21 BMP crewmen exited the tent, and retired to their barracks for the night, hoping it wouldnt come to war between the Socialists and Liangites -

At once, everyone jumped to their feet, picked up their guns, turned their safeties off, and stood watching the mine leading to the mysterious cave, that Skytop had told them to investigate}

The High King, seeing the Socialist forces withdrawing, knew that it was time for his plan. As of now they had no way of combatting the fully encased metal of the Socialist BMPs, but several catapults had arrived and more were being made.
"Shall we withdraw?" Mengqi asked.
"Nothing more than a ruse to buy time. You, of all people, should know that I cannot withdraw. We will make our stand here, and may God help us in our fight."

The 450,000 men under the High King's immediate command were split into two groups once again. Mengqi, with 200,000, entered the mountains and began a huge project to set up the catapults and prepare boulder traps to be unleashed along the path against Soviet armor. Mattingus V took the remaining 250,000 to the southern pass, and ordered his huge manpower reserves into action. Pits were to be built spanning the entire pass, over 30 feet deep and 15 feet across. Ladders were built and placed on the Liangite side so the men could continue digging. Orders were made for an additional hundred thousand laborers from the Liangite main camp as catapults continued to be built.
Arrows were fletched, blades keened, as the Liangites prepared for what could prove to be their last fight.

Meanwhile, the High King thought he should inform their allies of the plan, though how they could help none knew. Messengers were sent to the buildings, asking if they needed help, and explaining the current startegy to resist the Socialists.

Most likely his men would be killed. Huge birds had been seen flying in the sky, made of metal. He had no way to combat these, he just hoped the Socialists didn't realize it.

- It was a new day on the island, dew on the ground, birds chirping, and a decided fog had moved in during the night. The sun had just peaked on the horizon, spreading orange rays across the land. The peacefulness was abruptly cut short as the roar of jet engines cascaded across the island, proceeded by 15 F-16VE Fighter/Bombers, and another 15 A-10/b/c Ground Attack Fighters. These planes made a quick fly-over of the island, before coming back around and landing at 4 newly paved airfields, control structures were being built at the time. 2/3 of the camp had been asleep at the time, but they were all awake now and making their rounds to the mess tents to grab some chow. The 2 LSTs had moved away from the landing and 2 more had taken their place, unloading fresh supplies to the men and women of STEP. Inner and Outer perimeter defenses had been completeed during the night by Socialist Engineers, which had left the island aboard LST 6 and 7, to be replaced by ones aboard 9 and 10. -

-A Socialist Single Seater Tigra had just taken off to make a recon of the mountain area, travelling at an altitude of 1,000ft, it make low sweeps of the valley, since the fog had hindered its view, it was forced to use thermal imaging.-

Javen, Pilot, Tigra 1 - "I am nearing the mountain, no contact with Liangite forces as of yet, one more saddle and i will have visual contact."

- The tigra emerged from behind the ridge, into sight of the Liangite forces. Its rotor blades seem to fall silent as the pilot watched the swelling mass in awe. It obviously wasnt what was expected -

Javen - "Cmmand! They didnt leave like Lauderbakken said! There's even more of the now, ALOT more and they seem to be preparing for battle...Wh..What should i do?"

General Darva - "Ill tell you what you should do, paint a laser signature all over those bastards and watch the fireworks."

Javen - "Yes Sir!"

- The Tigra activated its laser module and "painted" the Southern group of Liangites, the mass of red and white to the thermal camera. Javen swayed the chopper from side to side as the laser continued to paint the horde from top to bottom, left to right. -

- Several deafening explosions could be heard from inside the socialist lines, ZBU-28 203mm Howitzers had begun fireing Airburst and HE shells towards the laser signature the tigra had sent back. BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, a line of 28 203s had begun unleashing all kinds of hell. -

Up in the sky, the sharpest Liangite eyes could detect a small dot. The High King was astonished at the progress his men had made, working all throughout the eve and partway through the night, traps had been placed, the pits dug, the catapults assembled. He was as ready as he would ever be for the Socialist forces.
Then, a sound could be heard. A strange, unknown sound could be heard. And it seemed to be getting louder. The quickest Liangite men could have avoided the subsequent bombs, but that wasn't very many, considering the blast radius and the tight formations the Liangite army was in. They also had no time to do anything they could have conceivably done to intercept the projectiles. The shells crashed into Liangite forces, wiping out men in a single blast. With almost-awe inspiring discipline, the men standing adjacent to the farthest extent of the blast radius did not so much as move a muscle. The holes were filled by new troops, and the Liangite forces held their position.

OOC: Can I see any enemy forces right now? Also, what is the blast radius of the howitzers? I am kinda new at this and need help calculating losses, so that info would be helpful.

Moody (Loading his rifle and throwing his food on the ground): Yeah yeah, we speak English. We REALLY need to get a move on. If you're still gonna be eating, we're gonna have to bid you farewell and continue on. We've got some of our men to save.

Moody stood up, with his men.

Moody: We're moving out.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vincent and his men began to run towards the Liangites, who have ran off to fight the Soviet forces. He had to tell them about the creatures pouring out of the mountain. They would all face annihilation unless they did something about the increasing numbers of unknown enemies.

Vincent: Vlad! VLAD! They're coming! Creatures are pouring out of the mountain as we speak. Trovsky, Cliff Company, and the 3 APC crews are dead! Get the Howitzers in position to bombard the mountain, NOW!

Vladimir: Holy crap! How about the Liangites?! Where are they!?

Vincent: They're off to fight the Soviets.

Vladimir: You won't make it to them in time, I'll find a way to get their attention, go and try to meet up with them.

Vincent: Affirmative. Keep moving boys! We'll all be dead unless we get some help against these things!

By then, the creatures have been at the midpoint of the mountains, and the Liangite traps have already been set off by them on the Northern Side, the avalanche was coming fast, boosting their speed.

Vladimir grabbed the other radio

Vladimir: Price! Get half the howitzers in position to attack the forces coming at us. Get the other half and try to move them to the Liangites and bombard from a safe distance to get their attention! We need all the help we can get on this one!. Get 40 of the APCs and set em up in the frontlines for action. Get the others and move them to Sector A-9 to the Liangites, go with them and tell them about the swarm! Move move!

Price: YES SIR! Well? You heard the man. Move out. Let's go go go!

Vladimir: HQ! Get those MH-60G-N- Helicopters and transports over here! We'll need to retreat as fast as possible. There are unknown creatures swarming the island

Comm Officer: I'm afraid I can't do that.

Vladimir: What?!?! We need help!

Comm Officer: A possible extraction might get these creatures into one of the transports, thereby spreading the swarm all over Audiophilia. The risk is too geat. You're on your own.

The Radio went dead as Vladimir smashed it on the ground.

Vladimir called the snipers and told them to get ready to kill anything not human and moving. Price took 10 APCs and drove along to report the Liangites of the new danger. He commanded the Howitzers to get in position to warn the Liangites and possibly the Soviet forces too. It no longer was a war for the island, but a war for their lives.

OOC: My Forces are assembling in the Saddles separtating my Territory from the mountains, your men may see the turret of a tank peaking a ridge now and then but thats it so far.

And as for the 203mm. HE has a kill radius of 30 metres from ground zero, and a wound radius of 50. Airburst has a kill radius of 10, but a wound radius of 100.

IC: - The Socialist Formation had built up in the Saddles, outside the Southern pass of the mountain, where they would make their push, then circle around and hit the North from the back. After 8 minutes of solid bombardment, the 203s had fallen silent, and resupply vehicles were on their way to re arm them. The Tigra had also returned to base as its job was done. -

-In the Saddles-

- The Socialist Formation was a mighty one (see above numbers). One of the most powerful ever assembled by them for a single attack, other then the Blakens incident. BMPs and Tanks almost snarled at each other, waiting to get a piece of the action as the troops began to grow impatient. the BMPs, along with their troops had been placed in front, mixed with Black Eagles and T-90s, with the infantry formations in back along with the BTR-70/80s. DeathDealers had also been mixed in with the BMPs, a few riding upon the steel beasts, to better fight with their 15mm rifles. The other mounted infantry had to stay inside however, firing through the gunports along the sides of the BMPs and BTRs.

With a sounding whistle from within the line, the first wave of BMP-1/2/3s peaked upon the Ridge, 30 of the beasts stood in line, facing the Liangite formation. With another sounding whistle their turrets trained themselves upon the formation, and hell was unleashed.

100mm, 30mm, 73mm, and 7.62mm began erupting from the BMPs like so much lava from volcano. Tracers poured towards the lines with a mix of AP, HE, HP, and Fleschette rounds. The BMP-3s, armed with a howitzer AND 30mm fired towards the rear of the Liangite lines, having the advantage of longer range, but the BMP-1/2s missed no beat, continuing the cascade of lead and Uranium. 2 Minutes into the fight a Popping sound was heard as a volley of Missiles was released, Sagger Missles streaking across the morning sky. Almost simultaneously, the BMPs had exausted half of their ammo, the BMP3s the only ones still fireing their main guns, which were now trained on the center of the lines. The BMP-1/2s swung their body around so the left side was now facing the lines, and suddenly the Gak Gak of Rifle fire began spouting from inside the beasts, as infantry got their share of the combat. The Infantry, paused a moment, the BMP switches sides, and the Right seaters began fireing from the ports. Blindly, the men shot into the extremely dense formations, their AK-47/74/102s spouting fire like christmas lights on crack. The Onslaught was abruptly ended as al the fireing suddenly halted, the BMPs turned around, and headed to the rear of the lines, ready for the next wave. Lather, Rinse, Repeat...... -

Captain Price and his crew of 10 APCs finally reached the battle zone. Already, the shells have been fired and the ground was stained with blood. He connected the APCs loudspeaker system to a recording system that held a tape he made on his way to the site.

Price: Liangites! Soviets! Our lives are in danger as I speak to you. The mountain was the home of an unknown race of creatures and have been awakened by our presence on the island! If we keep fighting each other, we WILL NOT be able to see our homes once again. They are oozing out of the mountains, their ranks increasing by the minute. We must form a temporary alliance to fend them off, for the good of our lives and our nations. Let us put away our differences to fight a common enemy, a threat to mankind itself!

The message played on in the loudspeaker, but the fighting continued.

Officer: Sir, the howitzers are in place and are locked onto the a hill that is of a safe viewing distance of the fighting zone. Ready when you are

Price: Let em rip.

The howitzers blasted the hill 500 yards away from the zone, with the explosions loud enough to get anyone's attention.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Vladimir: Attack! They're coming!

About 5000 creatures began running towards the clump of buildings. They were 300 yards away. The howitzers blasted another group of 8000 creatures 3000 yards away to attempt to slow down their numbers. The APCs and Heavy support troops began to attempt to suppress them with gunfire from temporary machine gun emplacements. Next to them were the infantry companies, laying down fire of their own with their FN F2000s. On top of the buildings were the snipers, picking at the creatures from afar, one at time. Not too far away from them were the mortar teams, with their mortars flying high and hitting hard against their ranks, as they reloaded as fast as possible. Only time will tell if they can hold them off long enough before "reinforcements" were called in.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Vincent and his men were cut off from the site by the avalanche and had to find another way around to the Liangites. But even if they did, the Liangites could either be dead, or HQ would be destroyed. He had to pick where to go fast.

Vincent: Sir? What's happening back at HQ?

Vladimir: We're under attack, that's what happening! We need every avaiable body back at the base to help hold these bastards off!

Vincent: How about the Li-

Vladimir: Forget them! Price is over there getting their attention, don't worry about them. What's important is OUR survival! Now get back here at HQ.

Vincent: But si-

Vladimir: THAT IS AN ORDER! If we live through this, I'll have you shot for disobeying orders. NOW MOVE!

Vincent turned off the radio.

Paratrooper: So what's the plan?

Vincent:...We're going back to HQ! Let's move!

Vincent and the paratroopers ran back to HQ to help out. He knew, if the base went down, the rest of them wouldn't make it home.

Polaris: Oh come on...

Polaris: EVERYONE!!! GOOGLES ON!!! FIRE IN THE HOLE!!!

{There was a tremendous bang and extremely bright flash. 3 *thumps* are heard only seconds afterwards as the creatures drop dead onto the floor. Polaris walks over to one of the corpses}

Polaris: Sweet mother...These things look like humans!!! Mutated humans with wings!!!

Bludshot: Everyone, it seems that these things are weak to light exposure. I believe that the smaller the creature the more light hurts them, but overall light is their primary weakness.

Boomer: How do you know that?

Bludshot: Observation.

Polaris: Hehe...It's Sherlock Holmes.

Sure-Shot: Come on you guys...We need to investigate this structure...

{Everyone gathers around for a makeshift mission briefing}

Boomer: Everyone listen up...I want 3 people to stay on guard on the outside of this structure to wait for the rest of our reinforcements.

Bludshot: Spetsnaz group team and SEAL team 1 will procede into the structure. Everyone listen, use your thermal googles inside the building, these creatures do emit a very visible heat signature, so thermal googles will be better than NVGs. Use your flashbangs sparsely, and only on large opponents.

Boomer: Once inside I want you to report in every 15 minutes. Jackal, Shadow, and Liquid. You 3 will stay out here and relay our messages to Skytop. Also call for reinforcements...I beleive we will be needing them soon.

{Jackal, Shadow, and Liquid start setting up a makeshift command post}

Boomer: No one is to split off and wander away from the group unless ordered to. We don't want a lone soldier to get lost in there. We are to be moving in phalanx formation, I want the guys with the M60'a at the rear of the pack to cover from behind, snipers and any other mid-range sharp shooters in the middle, and short ranged weapons and close-combat guys in the front. Everyone get in formation, 20 sec, now!!

{At once, everyone assumes their position in their group and starts heading for the entrance to the building}

Bludshot: I forgot, no explosives. We don't know if this structure is still stable.

{As they get ready to infiltrate the building, Rose sees a strange metal, gun-like object from the ground and picks it up}

Rose: Hey everyone!

{Polaris walks over to her and takes the remnants of what used to be a HKPDW, and then spots what looks like a semi-large piece of uniform (shirt) that has Audiophilia's flag on it}

The Liangite bow features an overall bow length of 58" and a mass weight of 1 3/4 lbs. Draw weights range from 30lb to 50 lb measured at 30". Bracing height is 7 3/8"
IC

The Liangite ranks remained motionless as shells crashed into their ranks. Holes were filled. Then, with a single motion of his hand, catapults flung huge rocks with almost mechanical accuracy into the Socialist armor. The bombardment was easily supplied from the huge boulders in the mountains. Then the second order was given, and the Liangite horse-archers loosed their arrows into whatever targets they could find, again, with almost superhuman accuracy. These warriors had built a massive empire before, and they were determined to start one again.

The battle strategy was laid out to all regimental captains (of 1,000):
Hold on to the pass for as long, if tank bombardment causes overmassive casualties, retreat, putting hope in the traps and pits in stopping the Socialist armor. Reinforcements were being called up, and a possible second front preparing to be opened.

OOC: Post Losses, for the Artillery, and my BMP attack. :P

- It was on the fourth rotation of APC fire that the catapults were flung at the BMPs, with each hit of a boulder, the BMPs reactive armor plating engaged, blowing off a piece of its outer plating, out of 12 layers, but counteracting much of the force of the rocks. Each impact, however damaged something on the BMPs, a track dislodged, main/secondary gun disabled, or just a headlight out, but still damage. By the Time Support groups, armed with Strela Missles had been called in, to target the incoming rocks and blow them to pebbles, 14 BMPs had been moderately damaged. As for the massive volley of arrows, 99% of them bounced off the BMPs armor helplessly, as they werent powerful enough to engage the reactive armor of the Steel Beasts. A few, however, found their way into the gun ports located along the side of them, where the troops within could fire. But these yielded no effect other than slightly damaging the barrels of a Few rifles, or becoming lodged in the coating of some soldiers Zylon Armor plating, or their Plastekk Facial Covers. -

- The fourth set of BMPs had been called back to base entirely for repairs, ones which couldnt move were towed back by super-heavy recovery vehicles. Fifth rotation was postponed, as Deathdealers, and Heavy Infantry in full, Zylon/Ceramic body armor were called up from the rear, in preparation for an all out assault on the Liangite Ranks. 5,000 men in total. They were to be supported by 14.4mm MG equipped BTR-70/80 and Strela teams, to deal with the boulders. No Heavy MBTs, or BMPs. were to be used unless the fighting got down and dirty, as their explosive weapons would likely cause collateral damage among the socialists. -

- General Darva however, would not let his APCs be damaged by such primitive weapons. -

Darva, From his BTR/C - "Lieutenant, get on the radio and get those birds in the air, i dont want a single one of those bastards to leave this island alive."

Lieutenant Driska - "But Sir, I...."

Darva - "Do it, or i will have you shot for treason."

Driska - "Yes....Sir"

- From the airbases, the general alarm was sounded, pilots ran to their aircraft as they were being refitted with rocket pods, Snake-12 Bombs, and Napalm ScatterBombs. Within 15 minutes each of the Thirty Aircraft, 15 F-16VEs, and 15 A-10/b/c were in formation and en-route to the battle area, ETA 1 Minute. -

- Upon reaching the Site, Commander Mane, head of the F-16VE wing, and Commander Illiovich, head of the A-10s, rose to an altitude of 5,000ft, and began their descent onto the Liang ranks. The A-10s, targeted the Front and rear of the Formations, launching 5 inch rockets, and dropping numerous Snake bombs as they dove at the Liangs. The F-16s, came in deep and targeted the Center mass, dropping 1/2 of their payload of Napalm Bombs, before turning up and coming back around to drop the second half. -

- After the planes had emptied their hard points, they continued the onslaught with their Mounted Guns, the A-10 especially, fireing its Nose-Mounted Chain cannon, a 30mm, 6 barrelled beast spouting fire which was 13 feet long. It poured a mix of HE, HP, AT, and AP into the ranks at a rate of 2,000 rounds a minute. the F-16s made lighter strafing runs with their 20mm cannons, doing less damage than the A-10s, but still put it to em. -

- And, the Socialists last move, before the Foot Soldiers moved upon the Liangs, Captain Easly, who was to head the attack, climbed to the top of the ridge, with his Specially made, silenced 15mm rifle. Looking through his scope he picked out the catapults, and began fireing at their support footings, and draw ropes, with unparralled accuracy coming from a Socialist, Olympic Class shooter. -

The High King watched as his forces were decimated by the oncoming forces. His arrows bounced off harmlessly, and his catapults were doing minimal damage. Thousands lay dead around him, and these self-proclaimed 'planes' were adding to the carnage. There was no choice left if they were to have any chance. The entire Liangite host began withdrawing to the southeast towards the mines, though he did not withdraw fully. He sent scouts and a rearguard to see how the BMPs would fare against his pits, thinking himself terribly clever in their making. Every now and then a plane would scream in and wipe out a chunk of men.

OOC: Maybe 50,000 men dead? The losses will obviously be huge, feel free to give your own estimates.
StPetersburg

OOC: Okay, I estimate, from everything, around 60,000 Dead and 120,000 Wounded, mainly from airburst and Napalm, depending on how tight your formations were.

IC: - The Socialist attack had proved undeniably sucessful against the Liangs, as reports were being sent back to HQ that the Liang forces were retreating. With this word, the planes were returned to base, rearmed, and refueld. When all this was completed, they once again took off and headed into Liang Territory, to wreak further havok among their ranks. -

"As for the creatures, w'ell get to that in a moment"

Easly - "Alright Men! They're falling back. 1st through 10th Ranks! 6 steps forward, MARCH!"

- With this sounding call, 2,500 Socialist Heavy Foot Soldiers peaked the ridge, standing in 10 ranks, each 250 men wide. They each Bore full Zylon/Ceramic body armor, with crotch guards, joint covers, Full Zylon Helmet, and half Inch Thick Plastekk faceplate. Each of the men was armed with a Full Zylon, Kevlar Coated Ballistic Shield, which was attached to their left arm to free their right for shooting, but could be detached, all soldiers were right handed. They carried Folding Stock AK-47/74/102s, AN-94s, RPKs, PKMs, and had SOCOM .45 pistols along with Tunder 5 "Last Ditch" Shotgun pistols, as sidearms, also a variety of grenades. They were also issued a 18 inch, Laser Sharpened Short Sword for close in fighting. These men were the best of the best of Heavy Infantry, completely different from regulars, in terms of attitude and committment to service. They were to be supported by 30 BTR-70/80s, and 100 of Easly's DeathDealer Snipers. -

Socialist Heavy Infantry, Deployed to riot Situations within StPetersburg

Easly - "Formation! Forward, MARCH!"

- With that sounding call, the 2,500 men began a slow march forward, 30-inch steps brought the ever closer to the retreating Liangs, they would soon enter the Southern pass, then into Liang Territory with the other 17,500 socialists which awaited the call to march. They continued marching, forward until they got about 400 yards out. Then a fleet of 30 BTR-70/80s drove up and crescented the hill, a few had been strapped with AMPs, where the drivers began blasting "No Diggity" over the battlefield, they were known to do stupid crap like that, but it fit the mood. The 100 Death Dealers were riding upon the BTRs, rifles at the ready. The drove at a slow pace until they trailed the infantry by only 100 yards, until 1 mysteriously dropped halfway into a small hole, 4 of its 8 wheels were teetering over the edge of the pit. -

Easly - "What the hell? FORMATION, HALT"

- To the step, the 2,500 socialists halted, as did the BTRs, such a quick response was commanded as every Socialist serviceman was equipped with an earpiece. Easly went to investigate the Single rank of 30 BTRs, with on almost over into a pit. -

Easly *looking into the now visible pit* - "Well, arent they clever. HEY! Everyone alright down there?"

- Each of the 4 death dealers had fallen into the pit, their fall softened by the mud which the earlier drizzle had created. -

Dealer 1 - "Yeah, everyone's alright, a little muddy but we can continue, arms are okay too."

Easly - "Good, ill have some rope down there for ya, we're gonna have to stop the BTRs here until the infantry pass, then we'll bomb the pass out and get rid of these pits, who knows how many."

Dealer 2 - "Sounds good Captain" *thumbs up*

Easly - "BTR group, Fall back to ridge and hold position on the peak, we dont know how many of these holes there are, the 3rd'll root em out and we can continue in a few hours."

- With that, the DeathDealers hopped from their steel horses and fell in behind the infantry, the BTRs slowly backed out, the one which was stuck had some trouble but was able to get back over the edge and go back to the ridge with the rest. The men in the hole were helped out by a large root, and didnt require any medical assistance, they continued with the rest of the men. -

Easly - "Okay guys, looks like the pits cant be triggered by foot soldiers, lets keep going to the breaking point, and wait there, kill anything not bearing a Socialist insignia"

- As soon as Easly stopped speaking, 700 Yards up from the formation, a form of explosion created a large hole in the ground, proceeded by Thousands of little, pale brown objects barreling at the formation of heavily armed men. The swarm continually grew larger as it started to choke the mountain pass, now 500 yards away. The Socialist Infantry stood their ground, as if such an event was expected. -

Easly - "Alright men, you heard me.....kill em all, REMEMBER DOLSA!"

- Dolsa, the name of a highly decorated admiral, which headed the Socialist lad, experimenting with super soldiers, established here upon this island some years back, a hero in the great patriotic conflict. He was killed when the swarm grew out of control, quickly overtaking much of the island, where it has lain dormant until now. -

- With Easly's call, a thunderous shout erupted from the formation of men, REMEMBER DOLSA!!! As the men Readied their Ballistic Shields, and weapons for the attack. The Swarm neared, 480, 460, 440, 420 yards. At 400 Yards easly pressed his hand to his ear.... -

Easly - "Fire at will!"

- At the call 1st rank fell prone, 2nd rank took to knee, and 3rd rank remained standing, after each rank was prepared they began to fire. A Solid line of 750 men, each spouting Full Auto, and Single Shot fire from their weapons. Entire lines of the swarm fell, dead, like so many empty shell casings from Socialist rifles. The swarm kept reproducing, from the hole they seemed to pour out like someone turned on the faucet. The 3 ranks continued to fire at the oncoming creatures, each bullet which left the barrel found its way inside a creature, one way or the other. Demonic screams could be heard throughout the valley as they were being struck down by the thousands. But the swarm creeped ever closer, as not enough led was being put downrange to completely stop them, they were within 250 yards of the formation now, but still being crapped on by the Determined Socialists. -

Easly *in between reloading his rifle* - "Damn, they're getting closer! HQ, i need air support! NOW!

HQ - "Easly, thats a negative, all aircraft are refueling at this time, they will be back in the air in apprx 15 minutes."

Easly - "I dont have 15 minutes! The crescent moon is out and i dont have enough men to hold them off, those damn Liangs dig pits to stop my Armor."

HQ - "Sorry, nothing we can do..."

Easly - "****!"

- Easly, the Heavy Infantry, and the Deathdealers, Continued to fire into the swarm like there was no tomorrow, and if those planes didnt get airborne soon, there wouldnt be. Every few seconds or so, another man would have to pause to have a fresh mag passed to him from the rear ranks, as they were going through ammunition like grease through a goose. But still the shells flew, empty mags collected at the mens feet, tracers filled the field as a metor shower would fill the night. -

- The swarm had neared to within 100 yards of the formation now, as they were instructed before, 2nd and 3rd rank halted fireing, only 1st rank remained fireing, as they were now the only ones standing. When the swarm his 50 yards they quickly slung their weapons to their back, pulling their SOCOM .45 Pisols in their left hand, and their Short Swords, called Kuls, as did each of the 2,500 Men, simultaneously. The death dealers fell out to the rear, also pulling their sidearms and Special 24 Inch Kuls, since they bore no shield. Easly, drew a heavy Infantry Issue Kull, and his Solid Zylon Tomahawk, ready to fight the decrepit beasts. 25 yards, they closed in, 20, 15, 10, 5 yards........ -

The Liangite morale was holding steady as the recent news said that the Socialist armor had been stopped by the pits, and the swarm of creatures that had attacked Stemongke had opened up hell on the St. Petersburg forces. With this recent boost to their forces, the Liangite armies pulled an about face. The entire remaining force 490,000 men began marching straight back over the terrain they had just covered. Up ahead, the pulsing demonic horde could be seen slamming into the St. Petersburg infantry across the Liangite pits. With unequaled discipline, the bows were raised and arrows flew high into the sky and touched down. Mengqi watched, imagining the sickening thud the demons must have heard as arrows screamed in and ravaged their ranks. The High King Mattingus has been watching the developments. With the armor stopped and their airpower incapacitated, perhaps they would come to terms. He could only hope. And then the catapults began hurling boulders. A hundred thousand Liangites drew expertly crafted scimitars, screamed their battle cries and charged into the seething morass. The High King's adrenaline began to pump as the creature in front of him was cleaved in half.

Vladimir cursed constantly as he cleaned his wounds from the first swarm attack. The previous day, the swarm greatly outnumbered Audiophilian forces, even after the artillery bombings from the howitzers. After successfully holding off the first attack, the second swarm of 8000 were 700 yards away. As they grew near , the howitzer crews commanded that the infantry retreat, as they continued to bombard their increasing ranks. The crews inside the howitzers knew that during the attack, they would be overwhelmed. With the help of infantry volunteers, they laid out their ammunition quickly across in a criss-cross pattern, and ignited their ammunition with their sidearms as the swarm ran across, instantly taking thousands of creatures with them. Thanks to their heroic efforts, the infantry units were able to retreat to the buildings and cut down the remaining swarm numbers. In the morning, there were no sign of the swarm and they prepared for the next attack. All gasoline tanks and artillery shells have been strategically scattered around the buildings to hopefully slow down the swarm and all unites have barricaded themselves inside the refinery.

Units lost:

All Howitzers including crews
30 APCs.
50 infantry dead, 83 wounded.

Vlad commanded that all the PA systems from the APCS be set up on the top of the several buildings and connected together. The following message was played during the day 3 times an hour:

I, Captain Vladimir, of the DeathMaker Sniper Corps. have concluded that this island is the home of unknown creatures. Our very own government has abandoned us and are in dire need of help and supplies. If there are still others fighting, let us set aside our petty differences to fight a common enemy of humanity.

The message was also played on the radio on all frequencies, hoping to get a reaction.

Seeing that infantry are rather vulnerable to extreme close range attack, Russian Federation helicopters fly to Captain Vladimir's position to assist in any way possible. Su-27s are flying to Easly's position for a fly over and will use scorched earth tactics if none of StPetersburg's soldier remain. If the battle is still ensuing, they are to strafe any creatures not within danger-close range to Easly's men.

- The Socialist Infantry Formation held strong, first and second ranks fighting off the creatures, while gaining small ground with the rest of the force. The creatures primitive ways of fighting seemed no match for modern armor technology, their petty claws and teeth simply broke on the Socialist shields, or armor, just before they were cut down by a laser sharpened kul. The creatures kept spouting from the whole, which seemed to be getting larger, more and more came, but Socialist morale and endurance held. The Liang arrow barrage actually aided the socialists, since their arrows, harmlessly bounced from the Ceramic armor plating of the Heavy Infantry, or was lodged within the several layers of kevlar/zylon worn full body by the men. Creatures were sliced and diced by the Socialists, blood ran deep in th field, blood of the demons. Not a single Socialist had been either lost or wounded so far, and Easly inteneded to keep it that way. He continued his advance, the comparable torrent of creatures had slowed to a trickle, as the men closed in on the hole, now only 200 yards from its entrance. They could now see the Liang formations, heading back towards them. All of the creatures had been killed, for now. The 2,500 socialists now faced the unbelievable odds of over 490,000 Angry Liangs, fear, however, was unknown. -

Easly - "Attn RusFed aircraft, Creatures are cleared, i need a gravity bomb in that hole, ASAP. And we are also in need of urgent air support, we are outnumbered 196 to 1 ( :P ) by the Liangs, and need you to thin em out, over."

- The Socialists would get their own aircraft into the sky in less than 8 minutes, albe to bring hell back to the Liangs, and get rid of those nasty pits, keeping the armor back. Along with the awaiting 30 BTRs, 30 more had been called up to assist in fighting the Liang force as soon as the pits were cleared. -

Vladimir woke to loud choppers nearing the temporary HQ. Could it be that the bigwigs back home realized their mistake and came to extract them? He ran to the roof, hoping that his assumptions were true.

Pilot (On PA): Captain Vladimir, The Russian Federation intercepted your SOS yesterday and we have been ordered to provide you support.

Vladimir was disappointed, but still grateful. Extra firepower, especially coming from the air, was better than nothing.

[Back at the Omega Complex Military-Intelligence Headquarters]

Visilev: What the hell is happening to my men?

Comm Officer: We are unable to contact them, but 65% of them still have a pulse, according to their nanomachines.

Visilev: They won't be able to hold much longer. The whole island could be infested by now and they may continue to spread. We're supplying them with fresh troops, vehicles, and supplies. Get St. Petersburg on the phone. We'll need their help suppressing these things.

Comm Officer: Sir, that may not be a great idea, they may infest our transports and-

Visilev: Dammit, get those reinforcements over there ASAP. Send them Heavy Infantry, APCs, Howitzers, Anti-personnel mines, explosives, anything. Get some choppers to provide cover as they land. Hell, get those choppers on sorties to take those bastards out.

Comm Officer: Affirmative. All Personnel in Barracks 18, 29, 31, 36, and 82 suit up and ready for briefing ASAP.

Visilev called Prime Minister Xanadu about their current situation. Xanadu was asleep, but he left a message on a secure line that went directly into his answering machine.

Visilev: Sir, as I speak, our soldiers on island 840276B5 have uncovered an unknown race that is a threat to humanity. We are currently providing reinforcements as we speak, but need your help in generating an alliance with the forces of St. Petersburg to aid in the fight against these creatures. Do what you do best, sir.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Price realized that although his efforts in an attempt to get the Soviets and Liangites attention, he is glad to see the both fighting together to destroy these things.

Price: Howitzers! New location!

He commanded them to fire upon the swarm, aiding both the Soviets and the Liangites in their fight.

Price: Fire at will! APCs, charge!!!

He spoke with strength and pride in his voice as he closed the lid of the APC and poked his gun out of one of the several gun ports. As the APCs rode on, the howitzers bombarded the swarm as fast as possible.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Vincent and the paratroopers saw helicopters in the horizon near the factory complex. Maybe they were here to extract his troops out of this damned place.

Vincent: Let's break for it before they leave!

Vincent sprinted as fast as he could with his supplies along with his men, hoping not to be left behind.
