-A converted TU-160 Blackjack, a former supersonic strategic bomber roars overhead of TBD. Over the radio crackles a thick Russian accent, "TBD Control. Red One requests landing clearance." The plane begins its final preparations for landing.-

SECRET IC: The 6 KA-60s flying under radar coverage fly towards the TBD border. Intelligence back at the USSCR is surveying every possible strategic point via satellite.

President Karm Messner arrives in the Presidental jet escorted by a squadron of F-15 Eagles. The planes land at the air strip and he is driven in an armed motorcade to the location of the dinner. He walks into the lounge and bows to Queen Romalia. He straightens and smiles saying, "Congratulations Rachel on your choosing of a husband. We are all dying to know who the lucky man is."

All flights are clear to land.

As the men and women in the lounge continue to chat and laugh, Queen Romalia quietly mounts a podium erected near the south side. She clears her throat and begins to talk.

Queen Rachel Romalia: "Welcome to The Burnsian Desert's first annual State Dinner!"

Everyone claps. A few seconds later, she raises up a gloved hand for silence.

Queen Rachel Romalia: "I know you all want to know who my groom-to-be is, so here goes. After careful consideration, I have selected Captain Mikheal A. Kingsly to be my husband. His bravery and intelligence helped me in this decision, and I thank all who courted me otherwise. Now for dinner!"

-The man and his comrade exit the plane, eventually arriving at the dinner late. The supersonic plane takes off and circles. At the dinner, the men converse about their recent annexation of their polar body, C R Enterprises.-

Secret: Meanwhile, the KA-60s have landed some 25 miles from the palace and await the call.

King Donald Griffendorn exits the air plane with his royual guard. He wonders if he will meet any single ladies tonight. He enters the room and and looks for the queen to tell her how sorry he if fo being late.

For the new couple, The Burnsian Construction Company has supplied a beatiful mansion, free of charge. It is overlooking The Big Bay. Here are some photos.

The Admiral arrives, and apologizes for being late. "There were important military issues to attend to, I apologize."

The Admiral congradulated his nephew, and took his seat. His gaurds, Naval Special Forces members, took seats as well. A further escort party gaurded the Admirals Seahawk.

The President apologises for his tardiness to the event, it will not happen again.

Sheik Mohammed Bin Aldeeb
Watched in the preceedings joyfully, Bedoins are of course renowed for their love of wedding and betrothal ceremonies.

Bin Aldeeb , had forgotten western customs and recieved odd looks from TBD security when he tried to enter the dinner with a scimitar and two pistols.
Luckily, one of the men in charge was familiar with desert customs, so he vouched for the integrity of Bedouin intent towards hospitality, and explained that most Bedouins would die before showing poor manners towards an invitation, so an actual Sheik would never disgrace his people by coming with violent intent towards a host after accepting an offer of peaceful discourse.
So Bin Aldeeb hid the pistols in the folds of his robes, the scimitar was however more difficult to hide, so he accepted a few odd looks.

He now waited for an oppertunity to present his gifts.

Presedent Adar of Goronkoth would like to be the first to step up and present the lovely couple with a gift. "Here is a Le-Matya. The national animal of Goronkoth. It is rare to have one outside of our country. We have provided you with only one due to the fact that we do not want to introduce a new animal to your ecosystem and destroy it. The le-matya is a female."

an univited, and extremly late guest walks up to the front gate. How he got there no one knows, and when asked he shruggs and states the obvious "I walked". He was dressed in a simple military uniform, with a non descript sabre hanging at his hip, which was relucantly given up at the security check-in. Everyone merely assumed that this was just a messenger or delegate. But after his photo ID was checked, it was revealed that he was God Emperor Dak Apollyon I himself, of the recently formed Holy Empire of Dakara. He is awkward and silent. This is obviously his first state dinner, and his first interaction with other leaders.

The Queen walks up to God Emperor Dak Apollyon I, and strikes up a cheerful conversation.

"Welcome Emperor Dak. Sit near us" and with that, The president joind the conversation.

the emperor is pleasantly surprised that Her Royal Highness would talk to him, despite his dishevled appearance and his uninvited appearance to the event.

"i thank you. your highness, for honoring me with your presence. I have only been in power for two weeks now, and i'm afraid i'm not very knowledgeable about fancy dinners and such. "

"Welcome Emperor Dak. Sit near us" and with that, The president joind the conversation.
"Thank you mr. President, i think i will." with that he sits down and engages in his attempt at small talk.

"Oh, I've been doing this for years and I'm only 15."

She smiled and lowered her voice.

"All you have to do is smile and nod your head :) "

"Well, we have all been there at one time or another. Some of us not so long ago as others."

"i guess i jsut can't get away from the little peasant boy i used to be before the revolution, working in the factory" stares somewhat off into space, he looks troubled and introspective, as if remembering something he would rather forget "some of us jsut cannot escape our past... or our destiny"

Bin Al Deeb, seeing that mingleling had begun decided that he had better speak to the queen before she too coaught up in her affairs.
He first approached this Captain Mikheal A. Kingsly
"Begging your pardon, Capt."
He spoke with a refined tone unexpected from his rough desert appearence, how bowed and flurished.
"I am Sheik Mohammed Bin Al Deeb of the Bedou, in my land it is customary for a man to ask permission of another man before addressing his wife or wife to be, even if she is a queen. May I? It is only to present her(and you) with the betrothal gifts from my people."
His face was leathery from the deserts and his hands were the callased hands of a man who knew hardship. To the Capt. the unchecked scimitar at the arab's hip was not formal, but functional, he wondered how charming this robed foreigner was to get through security with it, though it was not hidden so...

"It's nothing about you, it's just that we hold open elections, and our leaders are cycled out, so some of our leaders may not be as equipped for such occasions. Besides, it's just a friendly joke!"

"Soft subject? If it wasn't I would ask more about your childhood and the revoultion..."

"Madam, what do you think of the le-matya?"

he looks at the bedouin, and wonders why he could not keep his sabre.

DEFCON 5: TBD has engaged in a war. The AMBSDS (Anti-Missile, Bomber, Spacecraft Defence Shield) is placed on full alert. All incoming shipments/aircraft are detained at the border. The Queen and all government officials are sent to a bunker in an undisclosed location. All TBD nuclear missile silos are put on full alert.
Anti-Aircraft weapons and roadblocks are set up. All foreign nationals have their picture taken.

OOC: I am RPing my Bedouin the through a different cultural stand point, the fact that have him educated doesnt mean he would automatically understand that while in his land it would be offensive for him to be unarmed, it is custom here. I thought it would be interesting to have a little harmelss cultural tension, a little reality.

Extremely late, the Credonian delegate arrives aboard a Boeing 737 Business Jet. The surprise delegate steps off of the plane onto the tarmac as his body guards hold back the press who seem to swarm around him. He poses for the camera and then begins to speak.

"For those of you who dont know me, I am Alexander Nicolas Sutton, son of late president Kaimoni Sutton, my father. It is time that i stop being afraid and take after my father. It is time that i pick up where he left off, and i know if he was here today, he would do all he can to establish good relations with every willing nation that he could. This is my way of showing mygratitude towards him, a great man, and this is how i will follow in my footsteps. Tonight, i officially announce that i will be running for President of the United States of Credonia in the 2004 elections to be started this month. That is all, thank you and God bless."

He walks to his Black 2004 Lincoln Navigator stretched limousine (the same kind as his father President Sutton) and headed towards the dinner.

As he arrives, he steps out of the limo and takes a look at his surroundings and inhales some of the sweet smelling air and starts for the door. He iand his bodyguards are greeted by armed guards.

"Not too bad of a job with security around here. Tonight just may be a good night to party" Sutton remarks as he heads past the guards and into the main room with the other dignitaries.

He approaches the King of the Swedish Dominion.

"Good evening your highness. Im Alexander, son if late President Kaimoni Sutton. Ive heard a lot about you in the Credonian news regarding the war on TBD (or is it PFM heh i just woke up so i forgot). Perhaps if you have time later on we may discuss that issue" he says as he shakes the Kings hand.

Good Evening Alexander, exactly what have you heard about us in the war on TBD? We have only protested against it nothing else. And some sarcasm, or course. But if a real war breaks out, our forces will intevene to stop this nonsens attack from Danneland.

"Queen Romalia, Iwould like to invite you and your betrothed to the Launching of the Pacifica, over Picon. This is the 12th and last battlestar to be built for our fleet. The event is taking place in honor of our population reaching 500 million."

“I can’t wait to meet the Queen at the dinner!” Jonathon Doe, delegate of Zorakia said enthusiastically as he sat, excited in his seat on the leer jet accompanied by five bodyguards. A waiter pulled up a silver tinted bench with various non filling foodstuffs and began to serve the delegate.

“Sorry…” Jonathan said, raising his hand in disapproval of the waiter’s actions “Didn’t they ever teach you in training to ASK the person you’re serving if they actually want the food you’re placing on their table? I can tell you’re new…”

“Err…sorry, Jona – I mean…Mr Doe, It won’t happen again” The waiter said as he tried not to further offend the delegate. “Do you wish to have a taste of these fine dishes?” The waiter inquired.

“No…I’ve vowed never to eat aeroplane food again…it gives me the runs after, making me unable to perform my duties…no go” The delegate said, gesturing for the waiter to make himself scarce. Doing so the waiter pulled the silver wheeled tray into the waiter confinement, where a second waiter stood preparing another dish.

“I can’t take this shit anymore…the senile man is driving me mad” Kato said.

”Well, congratulations…we just received authorisation for the Phoenix Connection and the Two Heavens – mission is a go” The impostor chef replied as he quietly slid a high capacity magazine into a glock 17 and handed it to Kato.

“I’ve given one glock to Tony, and I flipped a coin for Dillion, he lost so he has the kitchen knives, same as me - you got 30 rounds…more than enough – you better make them count though, we can’t have bullets hitting the inner hull”

“Don’t worry, I got you…” Kato said as he silently pulled the slide back on the pistol, cocking it. He concealed it with a waiter’s towel.

Making his way back to the delegate’s seat, he leaned over and whispered into his ear “Sir...we have a problem”

“And what might that be” Jonathon replied.

“I’m not who you think I am”

“Oh? And who might you be”

“I’ll show you” With that said, Kato jumped up, throwing the towel from his weapon, aiming at the bodyguards he squeezed off two rounds, one penetrating the bodyguards body armour killing the man, the other catching itself up in the Kevlar plastic.

The second bodyguard rose and Kato methodically picked him off, with a single round to his head he fell back into his chair, lifeless.

Tony moved up to flank, dragging the knife out in a brutal fashion to cause more pain, he reinserted it, this time into the skull to put the bodyguard out of his misery. Looking up, Tony saw that Kato was already in the Underwood (Chef) was already in the cockpit, with the pilots dead; they had control of the plane.

“Please…don’t hurt me! I have a lot of money…I can pay you…double….TRIPLE the amount!” Jonathon screamed as Dillion dragged him out from his hiding place. He was having none of it, with a single run of the knife across the delegates’ neck, he was dead.

“Kato, Dillion, Tony, take though stabilizers on the VX canisters! – We got less than a minute – I’ve jettisoned the fuel!” Underwood screamed from the cockpit as he flew the plane.

“Sir, we’re on it already” Tony replied, as he set a laptop down the table. Inserting various codes for the VX canisters, disabling the explosive fail-safes.

The leer jet glided into a clearing, Underwood had a visual of the Mansion. ‘Excellent…’ He said to himself with a wicked grin.

“Sir! All VX canisters fail safes in the cargo hold are disabled!!”

Underwood watched as the various men from the ground caught on to what was happening, although it was too late as they retaliated with small arms fire against the plane as its course was set for the mansion

I believe that was part godmode. You didn't give people time to react. Of course, in real life that's what would happen. I for one have a supersonic transport in the air with AWACS capability. I would've detected the plane on a trajectory towards the mansion. Its the whole reason I put the plane up there. It then would've alerted the appropriate contacts.

The plane was carring a delegate that was suppose to be there, unless you had some sort of Ion cannon that could take it out seconds from knowing what was going to happen, then I doubt you could do anything even if you had AWACS capabilities :)

I'm only RPing my part. IF my plane detected a jet that was headed towards the castle THIS late, it would send a warning to my people at the dinner. Further, you would have to say that the plane was on a collision course and moving at such and such a speed.. i.e. Let people react, but tell them that they can't just run out of the building for no reason at all or "dodge" the plane.

Generally increasing speed, because you are diving.) This may be a cocky pilot getting ready to land, but his instructions left by the Снежная буря operator dictated to report ANYTHING suspicious. Inside the dinner the Снежная буря man picked up his phone and listened. He whispered into the Foreign Minister's ear for about 2 seconds. The Foreign Minister, briefed by Generalissimo Lobonsky, knew this dinner was a potential slaughter straight out of the Godfather Part III. He therefore began moving out of the mansion, the Снежная буря operative at his side radioing the secret helicopter force. The 3 KA-60s lifted off heading in their direction. The Foreign Minister and the Снежная буря man entered an awaiting car. It was, after all, provided by TBD for lodging purposes. The Снежная буря driving, the car was driven at high speed towards the helicopter extract. This was probably just some cocky pilot, but who's going to take that risk when you were eating at potential mass murder scene? The helicopters were nearing 270 knots. The car was moving at about 120 km/h. They would probably meet some 10 miles outside the palace. From their extraction would be quick. The FM and his bodyguard's abrupt disappearance may ridicule them in the international community, but the going phrase is "better safe than sorry".

OOC: This is not a godmode. While the decision was made on a 'hunch', the hunch was well thought out. He knew what kind of threat this was and knew that the plane was acting suspiciously.

Inner Heaven: Another thing, even if your aircraft wasn't shot down by anti air you have another problem. VX gas takes AT LEAST 6 min. to effect someone. If the gas has been scattered (such as by an explosion) then death can take 2 HOURS! During that time the pain is excruciating, but it gives us time to save our national leaders.

Your plane then changes course to hit the manor, not reducing speed.

Defence forces ask you why you have not reduced speed (being near the airport) and why your course is not going to the airport.

You answer, BS or otherwise.

Then, if you didn't chage course, he may either: Ask again or RP an attack against the plane on the grounds it isn't following orders (i.e landing).

You then RP the plane being hit, or dodging the attack, however, if the RPed attack was pretty full proof (it should be with the number of defences in place) then you have to RP your plane going down.

He RP's responce (maybe people going "arrggg its coming towards us" then they brace for whatever.

You hit ground.

They RP losses, shouldn't be too much cause you won't hit straight, if at all.


All of the above is RPed, they can all ignore you for not allowing them to RP their defences... so your claim that Greenholme can't RP is wrong, cause you didn't let him.

The reason i ignored you was because you managed to get an entire division into the country within a week - It takes a rapid respones division two weeks to get into a country - In the other thread, I saw you click your finger and the division magically appeared.

Also, we ejected the fuel from the plane for that very reason, so there won't be an explosion strong enough to clear the VX Gas.

Also, TBD described the area - and what consisted within it - that included the airstrip.

Wrong, in that thread I mention that it will take 2 weeks for my division to get there, and that I only arrived with the front runners. TBD agreed and the dinner took place a couple weeks later.

Even if they don't reply on that day doesn't mean you can just skip their bit... this is something too many people fail to understand. NS Combat should be turn based when dealing with attack and defence.

My example above of the RP that should of happened has both sides taking turn reaction to one anothers RP... thats how NS works and it's how RP's go without to much complaint, if all combat was done like that it would take a bit of time, but it would be good solid RP.

The Foreign Minister was ushered aboard, head ducked by the Снежная буря operative. The operative ordered the men back inside the helicopter before boarding himself. The helicopter lifted off and resumed formation with the circling helicopters. They would be met by HC-130 variants to refuel, eventually making the long trip back to the USSCR. Sorry to quote such a long post. Anyways, yes. A plane has to do several things before landing, even an emergency landing. It first has to alert the tower so it doesn't get blindsided by an airplane taking off. It has to make a large banking turn to line up with the runway. It has to slow down and turn on Instrument Landing Systems. (Most planes, if not all have them.) The plane would then lower its flaps and gear, which would be detectable from the ground and air. (When have you ever seen an aircraft and debated whether its gear was down or up? Its obvious!) You did none of these.....

Also, we ejected the fuel from the plane for that very reason, so there won't be an explosion strong enough to clear the VX Gas.

Sorry, then. However, that is yet another sign that the plane should've been shot down. If its ejecting its fuel than it would have been marked as odd. Inner Heaven, stop arguing, you have ignored many good arguement from a bunch of players about why you couldn't do your attack. It was a good idea, but it isn't worth arguing over. Anyways, the VX gas is a godmod, the plane is currently a smoldering pile of laser-ripped wreckage in The Big Bay. So give us a time to explian and defend ouselves. Terrorists are resourceful, but 1000 snipers, checkpoints, MG nests and tanks, ect. are going to stop you, stop being a sore terrorist.

Hm... I do beleive I clearly pointed out that it is impossible to fly directly into the mansion without getting shot down, thus ignoring the others right to RP a defence.

Basic point, even if the airstrip was directly next to the manor, which it wasn't apartently, they would have to have flown in a specific manner to land. They would have to slow down from a distance away, look like they are landing, be pointing in the right way ect. They just flew at them and said "We hit joo, post damages" which is ignoring the large amount of security put in place... it is a godmode. Hell, the plane had even released it's fuel early, which would be supicious...

If they had RPed it right, it wouldn't have been ignored and the shot down plane may have spewed VX gas and killed alot of military personnel... however they didn't, it got ignore... ohwell... shit RP happens.
