A new tye of aircraft carrier called the Gerald class has been develped. It is mall wiht room for only 12 planes. It's designed to carry 12 MiL-4s. This is not Plain one. The first 2 thirds is armed with ship to ship as well as SAM missiles. Its powerplant is 2 Placibo liquid metal nuclear reactors, as well as one Fracibo normal reactor. They can power the ship to 36 knots.

the point is to have the ability to have air power in small scale operations. It can also be able to defend itself if it is attacked. Try doing that with any other carrier effectivly.

order confirmed for an extra 500 mil you can get the 12 MiL-4s (they cost 70 mil each and can go at mach 5!)

you use the planes to defend it or other protecting ships.
