Government Troops Kill 40 Demonstrators

Newsflash:
Following the banning of the Nationalist Party Siendarr just 24 hours ago, when the Emperor of the Unified Estaerian Nations ordered all members and affiliates of the party to leave the country within 72 hours or "be dealt with by the Security Services," more out-going members of the party took to the streets outside the Imperial palace to vent their anger, despite the party having been implicated in a tidal wave of terrorist attacks in the Empire over the last few weeks. Yet their voices were silenced when Seran-Teznar Agents opened fire into the crowds, without warning, to disperse them. Though this may abhorr foreign governments, however, the majority of the Happan people appear to be in favour of the massacre. One civilian was quoted as saying "they got what they deserved - they've been killing us for years," referring to the terrorist actions of Siendarr, a minority party in the Empire, in demonstration of their opposition to the government's multi-racial and outward looking policies. The government's ban of the party was rushed through parliament as the last straw yesterday, shortly after the Deputy Minister for Civil Equality was assassinated on his way into work.
The few supporters of Siendarr who have not yet fled the country in fear of the ethereal Seran-Teznar remained defiant today; one quoted as screaming "they've done it now, that's it. we'll have our vengeance on them!" Though short of time, General Antrasse of the Estaerian Urban Military released a brief statement about his troops' actions:
"They were warned, and ordered by the government to disappear. They did not. They broke Estaerian law, as they have been doing for many years. They paid for their actions. NO-ONE who represents the Unified Government, or indeed the true face of the Estaerian Empire will disagree with these facts."
Despite the bold statement, the banning of Siendarr has been seen by some as an act of desperation by the government to stem the violence, though many observers believe Siendarr to have external support by foreign governments, and that these actions will probably result in a vicious spree of related killings.
