Exonerate, they are useable at any point in the atmosphere but they will be in freefall at the higher altitudes most likely. The range is just how far you can glide it. Theoretically, you could go quite far especally with the booster.

Well if you can get equipped w/ Oxygen..suppose 50,000 ft...right on the envelope....Usable if equipped w/ a chute...ride in over enemy territory and chute off at about 2,500....Depends on the glide slope...maybe a 100 miles or so..w/Turbojet...10-15 miles w/o Turbojet

Well i dont know about armaments, isn't the real pourpose for these to insert special forces teams into enemy territory without risking a transport plane to large air defence networks?
