It was releaved today by the Kazakh goverment that had given into the UWLFN (United Worker's Liberation Front of Noviastan) demands of their own nation. Now as we speak, revolutionary forces march in a victory parade with red banners flying above in the city of Baykonur, the new capital of the new born nation The United Socialist States of Noviastan. General Monogov, the leader of the revolutionary Noviastanian forces proclaims "That is a new age of freedom and socialism has come to the people of the new nation of Noviastan!" he also added later that "Elections and any other party than the Noviastanian Communist Party (NCP) are hereby banned in the defense of the people."
The actual liberation of this new country was not clear, Kazakh forces retreated from the area about 4 weeks ago allowing UWLFN set up a regional and provisional goverment, a few weeks later, General Monogov and NCP lead a coup and arrested and excuted the leaders of the UWLFN. Now he forced the Kazakh goverment to recognize the new goverment and draw the borders.
Which, at the current time, are not offical but are said to be a roughly grants Noviastan all territory in a 300 mile diameter around Baykonur which includes the cities of Cosmodrome and Bayqongyr. There has been a mass flight of refugees attempting to escape this zone before a "communist iron curtain" falls into place. Even though this new nation has not been recognized by the world community, it is known to be radical left wing, communist, and totalrian when General Monogov assumed power 4 days ago after his bloody coup. Currently the sitiuation is unstable since of skirmishes still going on between NCP, UWLFN loyaltist and Kazakh forces in the area of conflict.
Currently the NCP provisonal goverment looks to be recognized by the world community. It economy is almost non-existant and its military made up of militia and irregulars. It is at the moment very unstable and is trying to soldify its posistion. More information soon to come in the next developments.
