From Hamaznrye Television News: Assault on Summer Place

29-01-2004, 18:31
In what turned out to be a textbook bloodbath, His Holiness the Supreme Leader Sahib Al'Jaro's Summer Palace located in the southern province was rocked by bomb blasts and automatic weapons fire in a pre-dawn raid.

Details are sketchy, but sources at the scene say that several members of the Democratic Underground Militia Brigade stormed the Summer Palace under cover of fog and darkness and struck with precision.

Commandant of the Hamaznrye Secret Police Ja-eef Cuhulain, his wife Puta, and their six children, ranging in ages from 30 to 18, along with their respective spouses, and the venerable Great Seer Ali Heronymousa were pronounced dead by fire rescue personnel.

Commandant Cuhulain, his family, and Heroynmousa were granted to right to use the Summer Palace by The Supreme Leader Sahib Al'Jaro as thanks for the great victory of the student protesters in the Al'Jaro Liberation and Re-Education Square more than two weeks ago.

Security at the Winter Palace in Banglebuk is tight this evening after Sahib Al'Jaro learned of the incident. The Supreme Leader has announced swift retaliation for the gruesome slayings, and vowed to bring the culprits to justice.

Meanwhile, back at the Summer Palace, a grisly discovery marked the changing political climate in Hamaznrye. Scrawled in red paint over the walls of the great parlor on the ground floor was the message: "A RISING TIDE LIFTS ALL BOATS".

Hamaznrye Secret Police are said to be out in force tonight searching for the culprits, but an anonymous source tells Hamaznrye Television that the Democratic Underground Militia Brigade has spirited away to the rain forests south of the Summer Palace and vanished.
