Deputy Minister For Civil Equality Killed By Nationalists.

29-01-2004, 14:19
A third day in two weeks of terrorist attacks in the Happan Capital has left Estaerian government officials stunned and bewildered as to how to tackle the problem. Early this morning Desam Lorinar, the upbeat deputy minister for Civil Equality was gunned down as he approached the Imperial Senate to start work for the day. Shortly afterwards a fertiliser bomb exploded outside the city's stock exchange, though no-one was killed. This time Nationalist Party flags were scattered around the blast site, confirming the already unanimous opinion that the Siendarr party are indeed behind the atrocities. Senators are pushing for a bill to outlaw the Nationalist party so that the Seran-Teznar security forces can be left to deal with them directly. Some minister and members from other foreign governments have questioned this policy, though the evidence in its favour is consideable. The Siendarr party have been a thorn in the Unified government's side ever since it was formed, and the nationalists are furious that the government has an unwaivering commitment to an absolutely multi-racial government. Siendarr has become increasingly unhappy of late with the Imperium's waning isolationist attitude, as government officials open up new links with foreign powers on a daily basis. After the banning of a suspected violent Siendarr demonstration last monday, the party is believed to have lost all faith in the government.
