After over 5 decades of pure civil war with the Attican Socialist 'Republic', Imperial Attica has finally reigned victorious. More information on reconstruction and the war itself at a later date.

Over 40 years ago, during a 10 year period of peace between the southern Socialist Attican Union, and the northern Attican Empire, certain political changes happened in the southern region. The passive socialist leader Hans Fritz was assassinated, and the socialist leader Frans Schnee came into power. He immediately began rebuilding the Socialist arsenal, with equipment different than that of Imperial Attica.

In response, Kaiser Michael Kuklinski V ordered a step up in military production as well.

Within 5 years, the south had attacked the north at Obnama, signalling a new war for supremacy of the Attican continent.

After 2 years of fighting, it appeared as though the North was about to win. Their forces were within 1 km of Zetrossen, and the majority of socialist armies were on the run. But then, the Kaiser died of a heart attack. Attican morale was at an all time low, and they were forced far back, within 150 km of Attica City. The war raged between the original border, +- 100km, for 30 years, until political bickering in the northern states finally ended, and a political council decided to reinstate the monarchy. Michael V's grandson, Otto Kuklinski, became Kaiser, as Kaiser Otto VI. Otto assigned Attica's best generals to the front, and within 5 years, signifigant gains were made. On the Vampirinsel, Attican legions had crushed any signifigant resistance, and the Empire held the southern part of the vital Attican Trade Strait. In the Far East colonies, the socialists had been fought to the same beachhead they had originally invaded from over 100 years before in the First Socialist War.

Within 10 years, the Attican Fourth Legion was marching in Zetrossen.

The socialists had brutally slaughtered over 10,000,000 people. All of their leaders were executed for crimes against humanity. The socialist soldiers, the few that remained after intense fighting, were executed.

Somehow, the population GREW at a steady rate during the war. The war started at a population of around 300,000,000, and ended at around 800,000,000. The economy stayed strong, but, due to the war, only the far north and the far south of the country are highly commercialized. The central part, just rebuilding, is far more agricultural. The major industrial centers of Obnama and Addison, which made the famous Leopard IIm, Leopard III, King Leopard, AF-100, AF-110, and AWR-110 vehicles, were no more. The cities themselves had been reduced to rubbly, hailing back to the destruction that the allies induced upon the Germans during World War 2.

Attika is rebuilding, and it might take over 10 years to completely rebuild. Note to any possible invaders, that even though the country is weakened, the military has not been demobilized, and is still in active state.

Much time has passed since our countries last met, and much has changed. My father has passed away, and my uncles death has led to calls for a war on terrorism. Many new powers have grown and many old have fallen. We remain your allies, and always will do.

I extend to you now the hand of the McLeodian empire, and offer you help in rebuilding your once proud nation.

(OOC: Damn that was one long civil war... Didn't you start posting about it in October or something?)

OOC: Aigh. It is assumed that the majority of the nations telecommunications network was disabled. Once the war was ended, we were able to reactivate key communications sattelites. Note, that I will not be able to RP as often as I would like to.
