There are several stores offering Katanas/Ninja swords and other such, but nothing bigger than a knife from European culture. In order to fill this gap in the market, The Daviestan Steel industry has grown. We proudly present our merchandise... (pics to follow hopefully)
All products are hand-tested and refined before sale.
Combat Rapier
Origin of the modern "foil".
3 foot tempered steel blade, flexible on one axis, weighted pommel for increased control and balance. Galvanised surface to prevent rusting. Extremely light, making for a fast, flexible weapon on attack or defence.
Duelling Rapier.
Developed into modern epee, it is based on the Combat rapier but has a more rigid blade, produced by means of a triangle structure running down its length, although it is still flexible. Also marginally longer than its counterpart, it is heavier (being designed primarily for duelling rather than killing) but is more reliable when parrying heavier combat weapons.
Cavalry Sabre
For cavalry read any vehicle/mount. Substantially heavier than a rapier, its bulk gives it momentum when swung for a very powerful blow, resulting in a devastating charge. Hand-guard protects forward 120 degrees, primarily uses a cutting edge but the point is still decidedly an option not to be underestimated.
Infantry sabre
Lighter than the cavalry version, it is based on the principle of speed over force, although the weighting and balance of the weapon still delivers a powerful blow. Similar hand-guard, flexible along the flat edges for manoeverability it remains an extremely versatile weapon, and requires less training to hit the enemy with than a rapier (although a decent sabreur will still beat relatively untrained men without breaking a sweat)
Special orders catered for, spare parts also available.
Maitres also for hire from the Daviestan Government to train.
