Just to point out that msot western forces now equip thier personel with flak jackets that are fully capable of stopping 7.62x39mm soviet rounds...

When ever a western nation has demonstrated FN FALs or HK G3s to a nation's armed forces or insugents any AK47s previosuly used were istantly discarded...
Heck even in Afghanistan the old SMLE No4 .303 bolt action rifle is more highly prised than the AK47....
