Iaceo

The doors closed as the last of the limo entered the abandoned warehouse. There were armed guards all over the place, some on the ground, other up on the catwalks. The occupants of the limo uneasily made their way out in to the open surrounded by their security personnel.
They were some of the most powerful people in Iaceo, with a number of different backgrounds from businessmen, military, even local police. They all had received an anonymous request for a clandestine meeting. None of them knew each other, or why they were even there.
“Please if you’ll follow me, we are a bit behind schedule” said one of the guard. Reluctantly the group followed the man until they came to a door. The guard reached out and opened “If you’ll all be so kind as to take a seat, your host will be with out shortly. However, only those who received an invite are allowed into the room, all other must wait outside. Those that have a problem with this should leave now, no question asked.”
Most entered but a few members of the group felt their personal safety out weight the need to satisfy their curiosity.
Once every one was in the guard closed the door, and those in the room had waited for a while. No talked to each other, they just sat there a waited patiently. After some time a man entered the room.
He was in his mid to late thirties, well dressed. “Sorry to keep you all waiting” he said with a bit of smile on face”
“And just who might you be” asked someone in the room”
“Why I’m the host tonight’s event” was his answer.
“I meant what is your name” every one in the room could hear the anger is his voice.
The host let out a bit of sigh “At the moment my name is not important. However, what is important is the reason why we are here.”
“And what might that be” asked someone else in the room.
Reaching down to the table infront of him the host grab the jar of water and poured him self a glass. “We are all here cause we can see the there is a plague in this country, and in the greater interest of the country it must be stopped.” He paused to judge the response of the room.
For a moment there was awkward silence in the room until someone spook up “You mean Prime Minster Kao, don’t you”
A smile came across the hosts face “Why yes I do. Now you are all here cause you have seen what I have seen, and some of you may sent to benefit if Kao was removed. Kao is threat to this country and must be removed from power”
“Then may not wait until there is an election” yelled another person in the room “There’s going to be an election call in just over a month. Why not do it the democratic way”
The host took a sip of water, then address the man’s statement. “Cause there isn’t going to be an election” he could see a confused look come across everyone face. “Shortly before the election Kao is going to stage a terrorist act by traditonalists, and then use it as an excuse to give him self emergency power. Then using his newfound power he is going to declare Marshall Law, taking complete control. Kao has become increasingly mentally unstable, and he has become what he hated the most, another Latito” He could see the look of shock come across the faces of every one in the room.
“How do you know all this?”
“Let just say I have my ways” answered the host
One of the men in the back of the room spoke up, from what every one could tell he looked like a high-ranking military official. “Let’s assume that you are right about this, what do you plan to do. Stage a Coup, open war, not since the Fall of Latito has this country seen a war. Beside Tappee would never allow it to happen, they fear the return of a Traditionalist and do what ever they can to stop it. Not too mention Kao’s secret service is everywhere. Your insurrection would be stopped even before it begins.”
The host thought the himself for a moment “Your right the General Heskel and his secret police are every where, they have a file on every person in this room. You have all be deemed as threats, and once Kao goes for power your all to be either jailed or eliminated, that is why I have asked you all here, you all have much to lose should Kao succeed.” He watched as the colour disappeared from the face of some of the members, others seemed unphased. “As for the Tappee government unknown to most a second war has begun behind the scenes, I’m sure that they would have no problem seeing Kao removed. Kao has done a good job pushing the boundaries of their patients. I can understand that this is a lot to take in. The truth of the matter is if I could do it alone you all would not be here now, I can’t do this alone, I need support in a number of different areas. I’ll give you a two days to think it over. If you want in return here in Two days and I will tell you my plan. Good night everyone.”
With his speech done the host turned and left the room, leaving everyone to talk among themselves and make their own decision.
