This is a Special Report from WNTYL news in Phylactoros, giving you the most secret and inside information on the latest world incidents.

We have just received information about a standoff at the Rogue Nation of Fell Hoppers in the region of Didjabringabeeralong. It happened earlier this week as Coaches from various high school football teams in the nation banded together in protest of a new controversial law placed last month. This bill, hotly debated, was originally designed to allow daily mandatory drug tests for all atheletes playing sports in the public eductation system. This bill was received with heavy resistance from coaches across the nation, claiming it was "too harsh and extreme of an idea to be implemented. I mean, they're only high school and college kids, not professional players."

A few days ago a group of high school football coaches in the nation banded together, and were said to have marched towards the capital city in protest. The government claimed it had reason to believe they were heading towards a ceremonial ribbon cutting of a new business that day. Many top government officials were present, including the Regime Dictator. Before the march reached that area though, government soldiers were seen moving in to head off the protest. Many people witnessed the army opening fire on the protesters without hesistation. Several citizens claim to ahve caught the shootings on tape. The final casualty result was 816 men and women dead, and none of the protestors were said to have survived. They later ordered anyone else who was present to go back to their homes immediately under the threat of death.

No response has been made from neighbooring nations, and the government seemed to be making every effort to keep the details unknown.

The Rogue Nation of Fell Hoppers would like to fully respond to the serious, but flawed allegations made against us.

First, there was a protest by high school football players over the drug policy, but we will not defend our policy at this time. Second, there was no massacare of anyone; military intelligence stated that there were thirteen protesters with bombs strapped to their chests, and simultaniously blew themselves up, killing no more than 20 people. Third, all videotape recordings of this "incident" were reported by homeless people who sold their stories for money to this "renagade" news source in The Principality of Phylactoros.

Which leads to the next point. Since the founding of the two countries, we have strived to maintain diplomatic relationships, despite our differing philosophies on rule of a country. Therefore, we urge the Principality of Phylactoros to extradite all staff of "WNTYL," from the CEO to all their mailroom clerks to stand trial in Fell Hoppers. Anything short of this will be unacceptable.

I see a powder keg situation growing here... I'm just waiting for the match to spark it into all-out war.

The Government of the Principality of Phylactoros, upon hearing of this incident, would like to issue its full response to these unfolding events.

First and foremost, we will say that concerning the incident itself. Before any decision will be made concering any of the demands requested, we ask to be allowed to conduct a full, official government investigation of the matter.

In response to the allegations of the so-called "renegade" news organization in our lands. The WNTYL news organization has been known in the past for their unethical behavior. They have been warned by the government about occasionally making exaggerated reports and giving misinformation. We cannot dismiss the possibility that this is an unfortunate misunderstanding.

However, there is still the possibility that the reported events from this news organization were in fact authentic. Pending a full government investigation of this incident from Principality of Phylactoros officials, we will then decide whether or not to extradite the staff of the news organization to the nation of Fell Hoppers.

In response to the official government statement by The Principality of Phylactoros, our stance is that an investigation is not good enough. The country has two days to turn over all employees of the news organization, or face war.

The Principality of Phylactoros declares that it will not relinquish its decision to conduct a full investigation of the incident in Fell Hoppers. We do however urge the regime to please work with us and not to put pressure on our government. I personally feel we can come to resolve this by a peaceful, non-violent means, and our country does not wish to go to war. The government wishes to continue to negotiate the terms of how we wish to handle

We will however not stand to be intimidated by threats of aggression. Our forces will be mobilizing in our defense should war be declared on our nation. This is merely being done as a precautionary measure, and should not be seen as an offensive measure. We will continue to present our stand earlier and ask for a full investigation before deciding what to do to the news crew. We also ask Fell Hoppers in what manner will the suspects be treated should they be extradited? I feel that would be a very important matter to address.

The nation of Neo Athenia wishes to express its concerns and as a religious nation offers its prayers for all peoples and nations that this sitaution affects.

We'd also like to see this come to a peaceful resolution, and we praise the nation of Budhitsu for its admirable and noble proposals.

However, our government would also wish to express concern about the willingness of the two main parties to participate and suspicions we are holding. We don't wish to come off as pessimistic, but with both sides scrambling their forces and threatening war it will be difficult for both nations to trust each other enough to stand down.

In addition, a poll had been taken recently in our country asking the general populace what they feel about the situation. From the choices given, 48% of respondants said that Fell Hoppers wasn't telling the truth, 34% suggest that both nations are mishandling this situation, and 18% say that Phylactoros had acted irresponsibly. I can't deny that I personally agree with the majority vote on this myself. I have a bad feeling about Fell Hoppers' motives, but that of course is only my personal opinion.

Our nation is firmly ready to settle this in a diplomatic and non-violent fashion, yet still we are pressured and intimidated. In response to the growing threat that this rogue nation is giving, we have our military forces ready to deploy should the need arise.

However, perhaps it is possible we could work out a compromise. We will only consider extraditing the members of the news staff if they are tried according to our preferences. These are the terms we offer for the extradition of the WNTYL news staff. We will not release them into the custody of Fell Hoppers under any other circumstance. We feel this is a reasonable request that satisfies both parties, and will ensure that this incident will be brought to a sucessful conclusion.

The Neo Athenian government will not become neutral, as it is clear that the two main parties aren't able to settle this peacefully on their own.

We formally have an agreement. Barring the incident this evening with the opposition leader, this situation will be resolved peacefully. The people to be extradited will be picked up from your country in a milatary-owned 747 and brought back to Booze Int'l Airport.

While our nation condemns the actions taken by the Regime of Fell Hoppers, we reluctantly are sending the staff of WNTYL, though there are a few members that have managed to go into hiding. For the moment we will send over the men and women that are present while we search for the others. We will be sending our diplomats and UN officials who will be presiding over this case to see to it that they are given a fair trial.

-Noir- Peacekeepers will immediately deployed in both of your countries to ensure the protection and possibly evacuation of all non-combatants. While our nation welcomes any outside assistance, we ask Noir to please not take such an aggressive stance towards this situation. Doing so will only further escalate the situation and put both parties on edge.

However, we are grateful for the choppers to escort our citizenry out of the land for the time being. As for the Patrol Choppers, that does feel like a bit of a premature action for the time being and if we may be frankly honest a little bit overbearing.

As for the neutral zone, we feel skeptical about the amount of success this will have. As has been proven time and again, we have made attempts to negotiate this peacefully, trying to compromise and come to a mutual understanding. The Nation of Fell Hoppers continues its agression not only towards us, but also over to its own people.

All the lights along the runways in Booze International Airport are being turned off, so as to prevent any landing of any planes and helicopters from landing at night. In addition, all borders will be sealed off, except the border along PAT 170.

The delegations of Neo Athenia, upon hearing of this latest tragedy, sends its condolences for the families of those that were lost.

In addition, we urge that action be taken right away to stop this madness. Neo Athenia will also send relief aid by ship to the refugees of both countries, despite the closing of the Fell Hoppers' borders. Escorted cargo ships will be arriving with food and supplies, while civilians leaving both nations may board the passenger ships if they so wish to leave the country. We urge both nations not to interfere with this is any way. Any action taken against this will constitute to a declaration of war.

Five minutes pass as Kenmore discusses the request with the president on the phone. As he returns to the radio, he orders his personal assistant to contact his wife and five mistresses to tell them he will not be meeting any of them tonight.

"We will not allow your ex-patriots to leave the country with you, but your decision has been noted," Kenmore says on the radio.

With that, the Athenian ship enters the port, which is quickly boarded by privates of the FH Navy. Two hours later, with all the food on trucks headed toward the presidental palace for the war banquet the president intends to have the next morning, the Neo Athenian ship is escorted out to international waters by the three submarines.

OOC: As implied by earlier posts suggesting that I took over the ship, one of which was deleted, I did not. Do not imply that the Fell Hoppers Navy attacked the Neo Athenian ship.

OOC: Perhaps we misunderstood what was going on.

IC: The Delegation of Neo Athenia wishes to express its outrage at the blatant misuse of our government supplies we sent to Fell Hoppers. However, since technically the deliverance of supplies were carried out as we requested, Neo Athenia will not make any military strikes at the moment.

However, future ships that are sent to the rogue nation will be escorted by our submarines and battleships, and not by any vessel from Fell Hoppers. Our own relief corps will be sent in to unload and properly distribute the food to the citizens of Fell Hoppers. Transport ships will be sent out to help evacuate the citizenry as well. Military transports with escort will also be sent with Marines and Navy Seals to make amphibious landings. Their orders will be to eliminate any military opposition given by Fell Hoppers to our new plan of action and to protect the well being of the relief corps.

Should any attempts be made by Fell Hoppers to interfere again, we will be forced to declare war and mobilize our navy.
