:D I hate to break this to you comrade, but the UN is a defunct organization. Their useless resolutions are occasionally effective in minor matters, but as a whole, international issues are ignored, except on a pseudo-moralistic level best left to corrupt dictators.
UN Members' loyalties appear to remain only with their region, and "debate" is so simplistic at times that... well, I feel I need not continue. A good laugh is one thing, but don't expect greatness from this ammusingly defective blob of pseudo-diplomats.

I admit that while I support the UN, I do choose to violate international law when it is merely redtape that goes against our country's beliefs.
Landmine banning was one of those. We were fortifying our coasts, so we choose to just thumb our noses.
