No, you dont have to be a Jedi to use it, but some previous sword training will help, so as you dont slice off any important body parts. The energy source runs a loop, the energy is sent up through one half of the emiter and arcs downward at variable length (1-6 feet) and intensity (cant feel it-gee, I have a caturized stump where my arm used to be), so the blade only looses energy when it hits something, so a constant loss of a small amount of energy from assorted molocules in the air is inevitable.

My nation needs a proper, organized military in case it is invaded. All of our cities, farms, etc. are literally underground, and would like appropriate equipment for our terrain. What would you suggest for a 300,000 soldier army funded by a population of 6,000,000 on a 'Good' economy?
Dontgonearthere
27-01-2004, 05:02
The most expensive of everything.
27-01-2004, 05:06
Maybe I wasn't specific. What would be a REASONABLE equipment set for a 300,000 military force funded by a 6,000,000 population, a 'Good' economy, and AN IMPATIENT LEADER?

I don't want anything fancy or excessive. I just want something that can win skirmish after skirmish and is affordable to my nation.

I really dont know, it depends on taste, what kind of force your equipping, how you want the types of weapons distruibuted, and what sort of environment you will mostly be fighting in.
If its an open field force thats going to be doing lots of long range fighting, your going to want mostly assault rifles.
If its going to be doing lots of urban fighting, your going to want SMGs
If your entirley in space, your going to want lasers
And Im not going into the way to hand out sniper rifles, machine guns and grenades, since that is dependant entirley on you.

I'll take 500,000 GCS-MkI with the Jumppack and Stealthpack

If I'm not mistaken, its $5.25 billion or G10.5 billion.

Most of my nation's combat is physically underground, like in caves, but we occasionally do urban combat when we take it to the enemy, or vice versa. I'm leaning toward a weapon that is low-maintainence.

Order confirmed Euroslavia.

Underrealms...I would suggest the following for a 'standard' soldier pack then:
GC11 MKIII Assault Rifle (G200) OR GS SMG MK I (G100)
GC-P MK IV Pistol (G75)
3 G MKI Grenades (G30)
1 G MKIV or MKV (G50 or G25)
PAAR 1, 2 or 3 rocket ( G65, G80, G75)
6 MRE packs (G12)
1 Medikit (G4)
1 backpack (G5)

And anything else you may think you need.
