DGNT to begin environmental restoration efforts.

As you may or may not know, DGNTs environment was almost totaly destroyed many years ago in a series of wars during which its current government took power. These wars were desperate, bloody and all out. Many weapons of mass destruction were deployed, once they were developed. The war was started so far back that the first battles were fought with bronze melee weapons, and continued on and off until the G'oaway Alliance defeated the former state of D'pressin and incorporated it to form the Dontgonearthere Empire. Once peace was formed the Empire expanded to its current state (See map below) taking the Psuedopolis Emerate and the Takrat Republic

Regional map, DGNT is the big yellow one on the left.

Shortly after the environment underwent a catastrophic collapse due to the stress caused by the war, most species went extinct, and almost all plant life died, except in the far north and south near Psuedopolis, Jimopolis and most of the Isle De Dontgonearthere (named for the former Emperor of Takr, who reigned just long enough to rename a single city).

Most of the country consists of desert, tundra and wasteland and most cities are enclosed in domes to stop the hurricane force winds and desert temperatures, and all travel must be by monorail or enclosed vehicle, since a normal human would be hard pressed to survive an hour in the open space. The few animals that survived the Collapse evolved to be voraciouse predators, they can and will eat anything they can catch, including a car.

The primary restoration efforts will be in the currently somewhat stable areas outside of the surviving forested areas, and will aim at introducing species that are either descended from natives, closely related species and zoo bred specimens. Plant life introduced will at first be engineered to begin turning the sand into something the plants can live on, mostly soil stabilizing plants and specialized nanobots which will form nutrient compounds, a sort of permenant fertilizer. Water will be brought in via irrigation and possibly from spray-tanks arranged around the areas in question. GLACORP terraformers are currently working on a more detailed system.

Naturaly, any help offered by other nations will be gladly accepted and reimburesed if possible.

RE: Environmental Restoration

Bio scientists of Argheraal have developed what is known as the Yggdrasil Bush, this genengineered plant grows into 1 kilometer high trees, this was designed so to be able to turn large asteroid or barren planets into livable places.
The tree shoots seeds that grow into other trees and use available resources to for a canopy to contain an atmosphere.
As this was designed to thrive in vacuum or minimal atmosphere conditions, we have no idea of the effect it will have on an atmospheric world, probably the trees will grow larger or grow faster.
We can provide detailed information about the Yggdrasil Bush for you to consider it's utility.
We are planning on trying it on some of our deserts to turn them into lush forests.

We will consider it as a last resort, the government chiefly wanted to reintroduce native species of plants and animals, or close relatives of those species.
Thank you for your offer though, keep us on tab.
