Ruenland Resource Rich

26-01-2004, 02:25
Now that Rueland is united under the new government of Randy Rifkin (dictatorship) he started programs to look for new resources unexplored in Ruenland.

Apon this search, many resources were found, and using these programs, his programs discovered that Ruenland is a Oil rich Nation.

so Randy Rifkin has decided that he will invite any nation that would like to do buisness to setup enclaves (embasies, plus more) to the city of Urnlin.

Randy Rifkin does not want to be involved in any wars by 2 waring nations both wanting to explore this opertunity, so Ruenland is a neutral country.

(OOC- I would like 2 warring nations to setup bases in the city and start takign resources, and involve it in a war, but that doesnt mean I ONLY want 2 warring nations, all nations are invited)

Quaestor Saryn Dren issues this statement:

The region of Cyrodil does not have any abundant sources of fossil fuels so we of the Glorious Empire of Cyrodiilia will agree to tapping some of your resources.

We will be sending in preliminary drilling teams (veterans that we thought would have had much work to do in Cyrodil.) to analyze a good sight. We estimate one day (RL) before they are finished and we can begin setting up an adequate drilling site.

Due to technical issues on this forum we wish you to continue this conversation via telegram.

The Floor of The Senate of The Dominion of The Captain

"Oil?!" one of the Senators exclaimed. "We could always use more oil!"

"Indeed, this news from Ruenland could increase our strategic stockpiles one-hundredfold," the President of The Senate said. "Prepare plans to send in an 'exploratory team.' Make sure they're heavily armed."

**Message to Ruenland**

You wish to speak of the terms of our drilling on your soil. That is acceptable. By the time you get this message, three Antonov AN-225s will making their way towards your nation. They are transporting a diplomatic team, led by Ambassador Bruce Snider, and an advance drilling team.

**Transmission Ended**

The Senators met to discuss the next step in acquiring this oil as quickly as they could. The decision was clear-- they had to secure this find for their taking. Carrier groups MacArthur and Magnificent were dispatched to the area to escort the oil tankers and amphibious assault ships.

The Empire of Cyrodiilia is curious as to why such militaristic actions are being taken....

Anyone who can't tell The Captain is invading is either stupid, in denial, or wantonly sarcastic.

Although we feel it highly unnecessary to explain our actions to any nation, we will answer your question.

The shipment of fossil fuels is taken very seriously in The Captain, due to our high levels of consumption. Tankers by themselves can be taken by pirates, but they will think differently when being escorted by two aircraft carrier groups.

The AN-225s landed and began to unload their equipment. The drilling machines and vehicles were already loaded on trucks, and they rolled off the planes and began towards the dig site.

Ambassador Snider's car was one of the last to roll off the plane. His executive jet landed after the other three, and the car pulled up to the plane when Snider was about to disembark.

The driver stepped out and opened the door, and Snider and one of his aides got into the black Mercedes S500 and were off to meet with the Ruenlandian government officials.

The carrier groups entered the seas off Ruenland. The tankers pulled into the ports and docked. Armed marines got off the ships and secured the area. The carrier groups stayed offshore to protect the tankers from sea attacks. The Captain takes its oil tankers very seriously, and therfore nobody will be allowed to enter the area where the ships are docked.

"Your military will now leave Ruenland, you may only leave a force of 40 troops to protect your new base in Ruenland for mining, and the other countries will have the same limitation.

Ruenland is although, offering a new housing sector in diffrent parts of Urnlin (The city with the oil) for citizens of the mining countries that would like to intergrate to the city and start an international city.

The bases are how the Ruen governmet is making most of the money, that and of course you pay for the oil.

No more military vehicals within our borders, you may escort your rigs until they get to Ruen territory (including sea) then the Ruenland military will take care of security from there."

Although for now the only troops we have are guarding our oil tankers, we will move our two carrier groups into international waters off your coast. Be advised that they will be no further away than that, as we have a vested interest in the oil. Its transport will receive the highest amount of security.

We are also leaving 50 marines on each tanker (there are 3), in addition to the 40 that are allowed onto your soil. Also, we will have marines guarding our land in the oil fields, as well as those guarding our ambassador.

OOC: I have no intentions of invading your country. However, if nations start grabbing up oil fields, I expect to be able to make them think twice about infringing on our claim. No offense.
