Civil war tears Romakia apart
As the large and flashy Rolls-royce car rolled through the rather run-down portions of Romakia City (Capital city), a loud pop was heard then a distinct roar, that of a rocket propelled grenade. The country's new Communist ruler, sitting inside his Rolls-Royce, had no time to react before the grenade slammed into his door and ignited, sending a small controlled blast into the car, instantly vaporizing the premier, the driver, and an accomplice, then igniting the gas tank, sending the car roaring into the sky in a ball of flame. Suddenly, gun-fire erupts from windows lining the street, rounds slam into the side panels and windows of the escort cars, some rounds are able to penetrate the standard cars, other rounds ping off the armor of the soldier's cars.
A block down the road, a large pickup, early '80s, pulls onto the street, three men in the back open fire with their AKMs and plaster the windshield of the first car, killing three policemen. Then a fourth man pulls up an RPG and fires a rocket, it slams into the windshield of the armored car and goes completely through, vaporizing one mans face and knocking another man's head off, it slams into the rear door and ignites, sending an explosion out the back, the car careenes off the street and into a shop window.
What was the leader's motorcade, is now a smoldering ruin of assorted piles of scrap metal. A half-hour later, a RNN (Romakian News Network) telecomm van is seen on the street, a reporter and a cameraman are seen next to the ruined chassis of the Rolls-Royce.
"Today, some 34 minutes ago, the new Communist leader of Romakia was assassinated in a daring attack, involving a seperatist rebel group. It has been a tragic two weeks in Romakia's history, with its formerly long-lasting democracy being ground to a halt last week, as communist rebels seized control of the nation, the assassination of our president, and now the assassination of our Premier. Romakia's 2-day long Premier, Premier Ale..."
Before the sentence can be finished, a missile is fired from an observing Mi-24 Hind D gunship, the rocket slams into the ground right at the feet of the cameraman, exploding and vaporizing the two men... A 15-second long burst from the Hind's cannon tears apart the telecomm van. Not much later and a rocket is seen screaming up to meet the Hind D's exhaust port, exploding and sending a blast through the Hind's fuel tanks, which cause the Hind to explode into a spectacular ball of fire, it slowly rotates as it falls into a building below it.
Instantly afterwards, gunfire erupts across the city as seperatist rebels engage Communist government soldiers. Modified pickups, vans, and cars roar through the streets, armed with a vast array of weaponry to combat the government's T-55s, T-62s, and T-72s as well as its APCs. After three hours of fierce combat, early death counts reveal some 250 government soldiers lie dead in the streets along with a staggering 640 rebels and a distinct line is drawn across Romakia City, showing who owns what... Vast forces of rebels and government soldiers stake out their lines as they take pot shots at each other, a virtual stalemate, until the rebels open fire with 155mm artillery cannons they acquired from a government base in the Steppes. The artillery fire decimates a section of the government line and the rebels flood in, completely swarming a smaller garrison, then encircling other portions of the Government lines, easily capturing hundreds of government soldiers and gaining plenty of territory.
Nationwide, the northern section of Romakia, home to the bulk of the rebels, have claimed responsibility. The region, named North Romakia, is threating the rest of the nation to secede from the nation and create its own nation. This angers the rest of the country, because North Romakia houses most of the nation's industry and natural resources.
Government soldiers have began encroaching upon North Romakia, slowly encircling its massive landmass... It has been reported that small groups of government tanks have been rolling in and out of North Romakia to see what they would do, as of yet, there has been no reaction.

The Armed Republic of Soviet Bloc, feeling that the unfortunate citizens of Romakia are caught in the crossfire of this 'civil war' has decided to step in, without the approval of the host government. The reason for this is because we feel this war must end immediately to save lives the lives of both parties and to prevent civilian deaths.
The 31st Airborne Division, activated only four days ago takes to the skies in their An-225s, An-124s, CL-15, and EA-75s. After an hour long flight, the aircraft rumble high over the nation of Romakia and begin releasing the 7600 soldiers of the division over a large, uninhabited region (found after analyzing satellite photographs and watching for activity over a two-week period). Along with the soldiers come the paradrop-capable T-05s, MMWPV M-03 Veprs, UAZ-Ps, and SIV-11s.
After the drop, the forces quickly organize themselves and the combat engineer portion of the force begins building up a logistical support area as well as an airstrip for future reinforcements and supply.
After organization of the forces is complete they quickly set up a defensive perimeter and begin active patrols into the areas surrounding the drop zone.
Two days after they land, the airstrip is complete and modified EA-75 transports begin landing, reinforcing the current contingent with another 1200 men, 240 MMPWV-03 Veprs, 130 T-05s, 160 SIV-11, 48 SIV-21, and 98 VAT-01 as well as providing supplies.
The ARSB awaits a response from Romakia.

Colonel Sergei Volenkov looked over reports from the day's patrols... 32nd Reconnaisance Detachment travelled nearly 124 miles out and didn't find anything, no signs of life or civilization. 'Hmm,' he thought, 'we truly are in the middle of nowhere....' He chuckled to himself as he placed the sheets of paper on the desk within his tent. He stood up from the desk and stepped outside just in time to watch another transport come in for landing. As he watched it slowly descend he looked to his right and spotted Sergeant Vladimr Komrosky. The sergeant came to attention and snapped a salute, not a moment later and Volenkov returned it... "What is it, Sergeant?".
"Well, sir, the transport that just came in, its the first of about 8 more. They're bringing in another 700 men, 40 Veprs, 21 T-05s and six SIV-11s. I also have this for you sir, direct orders from Cheif Marshal Ilyovinsky."
This perked the attention of the Colonel, he snatched the papers from the Sergeants hands and read over them... "They want us to begin encroaching upon Romakia City, their capital? We are supposed to engage any and all terrorists and/or rebels or anyone that displays characteristics of terrorists and/or rebels. They're a bit war-mongering up on the command chain, eh?"
The sergeant nodded, "I guess they also dropped in the 23rd Airborne Regiment about 140 miles to the north... They've got 1200 men up there and a whole slew of vehicles. "
"Hmm... " the Colonel hesitated. "Might as well begin preparing the division to move out. We'll leave the 56th here to cover the airstrip. Also, have headquarters call in for some additional troops to protect the area."
"Will do Colonel," the sergeant replied as he nodded and turned on his heel, heading for the series of tents known as Headquarters, also the home of the division's headquarters company.
"Have em' ready by tommorow!" Sergei yelled at the sergeant as he walked away. The sergeants reply: a thumbs up.
The government of Romakia wishes to thank Soviet Bloc for stepping in... Although we don't feel you had the express right to 'barge' in as you saw fit. We will, however, let it go for the sake of our nation's unity.
OOC- I will not be able to roleplay for the time being and I give Soviet Bloc the ability to state the rebel's losses (Although they must be realistic and I will review it when I return) as well as come up with rebel movements (again, realistic).

OOC- Very well.
The next day, the 3400 men and women of the newly formed Romakia-Intervention Task Force-South begin boarding SIV-11s, SIV-21s, MMPWVs, UAZs, and their URAL cargo trucks. The air cavalry forces climb aboard their Mi-24s, Mi-35s, Mi-8s, and HVC-03 transport and gunship helicopters. Not long after, they begin moving out of the now fortress-like support and supply depot, leaving behind 700 men to defend the area.
About 30 minutes into the journey, the forward elements in the convoy, a battalion of T-05s quickly engage and destroy an armed rebel pickup, killing three rebels. At about this same time the 12th Air Cavalry takes off with their 400 troops, Mi-24s, Mi-35s, Mi-8s, HVC-03s, SAH-01s, SAH-03s, and SAH-04s and begin heading for the convoy.
Two hours later, the force rendevous with the Forward Operating Base-about 50 miles out of Romakia City (stated in an earlier post, AKA 23rd Airborne Rgt.). The force is then resupplied with new rations and fuel for the 50 mile drive to Romakia City, where they will deploy to begin moving in on rebel positions.
Another 70 minutes later the force slows up and broadens out just as they hit the outskirts of Romakia City. As the force spreads out they come to a full stop and small operations detachments mobilize and head into the city atop their MMPWV M-03 Veprs...
Captain Gorovich, in the lead Vepr waves his hand forward and then grips ahold of the mounted PK machine gun... He pulls back the action and swivels around as they roar through an intersection. The fourteen Veprs follow along with six SIV-11s. As they near another intersection, a rebel vehicle, a technical comes screaming around the corner. The first SIV-11 doesn't hesistate before rippign it apart with its 25mm cannon, leaving nothing but a ripped apart and burning pickup behind. Captain Gorovich spots a single rebel, either that or a civilian with an AK-47, running down the sidewalk... With a quick sqeeze of the PKs trigger, the rebel's down on the pavement, his blood sprayed across the building's wall...
With a quick command into his radio, the MMPWVs pull to the side and the SIV-11s pull up into the lead... They enter a clearing and their 25mm cannons ignite in an awesome display of muzzle flashes... One of the MMPWVs pull up to investigate and watch as the SIV-11s tear up a rebel position, ripping up the sandbags, the rebels, and their vehicles. Suddenly, six vapor trails are seen roaring out of open windows in a building across the street... They all slam into a single SIV-11, the SIV-11s armor can withstand one or two RPG hits, but not six... The SIV-11's armor basically disintegrates the crew inside is vaporized in the six small explosions... In the end, 11 men are dead and the other four inside are wounded, one severely. They are quickly retrieved and shoved inside a MEDEVAC SIV-11 which scurries back to the main force.
In retaliation, the rest of the SIV-11s open fire on the building, the 25mm shells slam into the brick building all over. Four of the SIV-11s fire off their ATGMs which slam into the base of the building. The structural integrity of the building fails, and it collapses to the side, ontop of whatever rebels that had survived the initial onslaught.
Capt. Gorovich looks back at the assembled MMPWVs and gives the order to dismount... A total of 140 men dismount from the Veprs and begin moving in... securing the pile of rubble that was once a rebel base...
Corporal Ritovsky moves up to a position and squats behind a piece of concrete... He peeks over the top and immediately blacks out...
Private Ivan Hemherov, who had followed squad leader, Cpl. Ritovsky, watched as the corporal ducked behind a piece of concrete and peeked over... Not a second later and his head was gone... Private Hemherov lifted up his OC-14 groza and spotted a shimmer in a nearby window, he quickly opened fire and sprayed the window with 7.62x39mm fire... The next instant the private was laying on the ground, his chest split open from a dozen shots.
The rest of the squad opened fire on the culprits, a group of about 6 rebels. After about 4 minutes of intense fire the rebels lay dead and so does one more member of the squad...
MMPWVs begin patrolling the area and Spetsnaz operatives storm building after building in a 6-square block area... Finding nothing... The area is clear for the most part and a logistics support is set up in the area...
"This is Captain Gorovich hailing Operations Center..."
"Capt. Gorovich, you have been received, begin..."
"We have secured a 6-square block area and set up a small command post... We have had moderate casualties thus far... We have lost one SIV-11, 16 men, and have 8 wounded. We are transferring wounded to you. We ask for immediate reinforcements from Romakia Task Force-South, including gunship support, armor support, and additional infantry."
"Request acknowledged, transferring to operations commander. Will have reply." A delay. "Request confirmed. Units being prepared immediately"
"Good, Gorovich out."
ARSB casualties so far:
1 SIV-11
16 men (two wounded died)
8 wounded

OOC- For what I'm about to do, I have gotten permission to do from Romakia, via TG. Also, Romakia has told me the name of the rebel movement, it is in the passage below.
On the ground, Captain Gorovich picked up his field radio, calling in for an airstrike...
Ten minutes later, a flight of 6 DP-21G ground attack fighters roared into view. As they roared over the city they released their domestically-built SB-MRGR 'smart bombs' which in turn guided themselves to targets via GPS coordinates. Overall, the six aircraft released thirty-six SB-MRGRs, each one seeking a target in the rebel-held portion of the city, which as devoid of civilians. One bomb slammed into a large building, holding the command post of the city's rebel forces, killing most inside. The rest of the weapons completely mutilated the rebel portion of the city, killing 360 rebels and wounding 441 more, which were taken in by ARSB medics and being cared for.
A day after this massive strike, the ground units in the force within the city began spreading out like a plague, taking over rebel ground until the entire portion of the city that had once housed the rebels, now accomadated ARSB military forces.
Along the way the ARSB encountered fairly light resistance with only 14 men who were killed and another 16 wounded. It is estimated that in this push, another 25 rebels were killed along with 16 captured. It is a joyous day for the Romakian people as their flag has been risen atop the tallest building in this sector, on the same pole that the North Romakian Independence Movement's flag had once flown.
-Meanwhile, to the north of the city-
The 23rd Airborne division, reinforced by the 14th Airborne Division and the 11th Airborne Armor division, has began encroaching on the portion of Romakia known as North Romakia. As of now the three divisions have parked alongside the Communist government's own forces, preparing for a blitz-type strike into North Romania to liberate the region and put an end to this war.

Along the 'border' with North Romakia (A region, not a seperate country), the assembled ARSB and Communist Romakian government forces began filling up with fuel and replenishing supplies...
An hour later, the first units begin throttling full and roaring into the North Romakian region... Leading the charge was two squadrons of ST-11s from the 44th Advance Armor Division. In a staggered formation behind them were the T-05s. And behind them were the Romakian T-55s, T-62s, T-72s, and T-80s. And behind that were the infantry forces aboard SIV-11s, URALs, UAZs, and MMPWVs.
For the first 40 miles, there was no resistance, but as soon as the forces began hitting the temperate zones, rebel forces began emerging. The first squadron of ST-11s found and successfully engaged six rebel T-55s and two T-72s. No ARSB casualties and 24 rebel deaths. The farther they got, the more resistance they encountered, until eventually a thunderous explosion mutilated the right-side track of one of the lead ST-11s, disabling it. The culprit: a hidden anti-tank mine. Two of the ST-11s, carrying chain-flailing devices, were quickly set up with the flailing devices and set to work clearing paths. After 40 minutes, a wide enough path was clear for the force to move through.
The force moved on until they began hitting the industrial cities (or so says Romakia) of North Romakia. The cities' population were, for the most part, anti-rebel and didn't agree with the North Romakian Independence Movement's idealogy. As the force passed through these cities, small garrisons of ARSB soldiers as well as Romakian soldiers and tanks were left behind...
Farther up, and near the tip of Romakia, the ARSB force hit serious resistance, in the form of Mi-24 Hinds, T-72 tanks, T-80 tanks, BTRs, BMPs, and innumberable rebel combatants.
The battle raged for what seemed like forever, at least two days in real time. Heavy fighting took place but in the end the ARSB came out victorious, by a ridicously high margin, due to its better technology. In the end, enemy losses reached past the 2000 mark with at least 45 T-72s destroyed, 61 T-80s gone, 42 BTRs destroyed, 55 BMPs destroyed, and all 15 Mi-24 Hind Ds.
Soviet Bloc casualties numbered about 410 with about 360 wounded. The ARSB also lost 21 T-05 tanks, 2 ST-11s, 14 SIV-11s, 21 MMPWV M-03s, and three SAH-01 attack helicopters.
After a resupply and reinforcement drop, the newly revitalized ARSB-led force pushed farther North into the final tier of Romakian territory. Quickly capturing it and neutralizing some 210 enemy combatants along the way, including a few T-55s and T-62s.
With this, the control of that area was handed over to the Romakian Army and ARSB units pulled back to the reinforcement base near Romakia City.

After the final offensive most of the ARSB force in the nation pulls back to the base they had set up in the southern region of Romakia, leaving behind smaller units to keep the peace in certain areas, including North Romakia. As the force pulled back they deposited troops in key areas including Romakia City where the force garrisoned the area of the city they had taken from the rebels.
When most of the soldiers and equipment had returned to the main base set up in Romakia, they began boarding transports and leaving the country, leaving behind a 800-man strong force to defend the base and await the arrival of heavy equipment to begin building up a permanent base which includes two airstrips as well as enough barracks and personnel support buildings to support the projected 4000-man strong force that will garrison the base.

OOC- Comrade, we thank you for ridding us of the rebels and bringing peace to our civilians.
Pythonists- ANy economic aid or military aid would be helpful.
Meanwhile, in the first parliament meeting since the uprising, the four regions that compose the southern half of Romakia are trying to pass a secession act for their regions.
"The south Romakian people have found a hero in the nation of Soviet Bloc and we wish no longer to be a part of the troublesome and rather unstable nation of Romakia. That is why we are attempting to pass this piece of legislation that will immediately secede the four southern regions to form the nation of South Romakia, and after that, we only hope Soviet Bloc will accept our pleas to become a part of their nation." the delegate, Ivan Ytriovsk, continues...
"Our regions have suffered far too long under this unstable government, which has flopped from one end of the political spectrum to the other, repeatedly. All of this instantaneous change has vacuumed out all of our assets and resources, leaving South Romakia a wasteland with no economic strength due to your like of North Romakia, always providing them with economic support to bolster their already large industrial base. We have had enough, and therefore we bring forward this legislation in hope that we can secede peacefully instead of another costly civil war, of which we are not afraid to fight..."
The parliament floor breaks into whispering and the humming of quiet talk... Eventually the lead delegate, from North Romakia heads up to the podium... "We shall now proceed to vote on this legislation to allow the lawful secession of the regions of Ryitlovansk, Yttirov, Talmonovsky, and Minotov, to create a seperate and fully enclosed entity, known as South Romakia. Voting shall commence, all that is needed is a 2/3rds majority vote."
After nearly an hour of spattering debate, the votes are cast. The outcome:
46 for Rightful Secession (From the 4 southern regions, and from the regions that are feeling pangs of nationalism for their own region)
31 Against (All from North Romakia, Romakia City, and two eastern regions)
With the decision, the delegates who had voted for Rightful secession stood up and cheered... And the South Romakia delegates gave a curt nod to their fellow delegates and immediately left the building, as their secession was effective immediately... They left and piled into government-provided automobiles and quickled headed back to the new nation of South Romakia. Upon arriving, they sent a telegram to Soviet Bloc, asking for them to accept South Romakia's bid to be brought into the nation of Soviet Bloc.
Meanwhile:
The Premier was not happy with this immediate secession, that was, rather against the 'law'... He immediately mobilized all military forces to the borders of the rogue state of "South Romakia"...

*Tercero Xavier Delryn reads news of the "situation" in Romakia in digust. He crumples the communique, throwing it into his trashcan in anger*
"Communists..." his voice making it sound similar to an indictment; vehement and vicious.
"Mobilize our forces..this proves to be a potential for Crownguard to gan a new market, as well as the appreciation of this so called 'civil war'. Atrocious...they consider the Communist government to be legitimate after seizing power from others, but feel it is wrong in this regard for the pro-democracy forces to respond. Sickening. Contact these rebels, we will send all available forms of aid, and we will curb this communist menace."
*Ambassador Edmund Burke, acting on a relay of orders from on high, is dispatched to meet with the leaders of this so called 'rebel movement'. If they can be found. Back in Gariland City, the nation is geared for yet another war, the situation in Al Anbar having been accomplished with minimal losses. A war engine was quickly being turned.*
*Lesalia Port, Gariliand City*
If one could only see the sight I saw..." whispers the Tercero, overlooking the Naval shipyards as rows upon rows of troops load up on massive carriers. He smiled, the military one of the few things he derived pleasure from in his office, seeing the nigh undefeatable Royal Guard marching off to battle, supplemented by legion after legion of Imperial Dragoons. Following behind them went up row after row of R-74 Dervish tanks, as the carrier group, "Intrepid", was dispatched from Outland Station 7 to meet with the battleship squadron "Delta 5".
*24 Hours Later*
Unmarked black jets flew low over the horizon, coming in on the wee hours of early morning, the sun ahead casting a vermillion and gold glare throughout the sky. Several dozen boxes seem to detach from the massive jets, fully the size of 747, the boxes sprouting parachutes from up above, sinking slowly to the grounds below. In each box sat a squad of EM-12 troopers, tasked with clearing a base of operations for the subsequent air drops and garering information from the rebels. There would be many, many more these coming nights....
Whether the rebels agreed or not was irrelevant; Crownguard was going to stop the spread of the Communist menace in this region, and may the Devil watch over those who tried to stop them . *

OOC- Romakia had given me permission to act as the rebels, so here goes...
The apparant leader of the North Romakian Independence Movement, David Hertsgaard receives word through the grape vine that Crownguard may support them. He quickly snags a handful of personal bodygauards as well as two of his trusted lieutenants and sends a communique to Crownguard, stating:
"This is rebel movement leader, requesting meeting at: 0600 7th Block N, Hjemkomst City, North Romakia. Time: 1800. Date: Tommorow (Well, anytime really, whenever you can post)."
David climbs into the non-descript car with his men and they pull into the street, heading for the assigned place which is a quiet cafe...
Meanwhile:
A radar operator on station aboard a CL-17 Command and Control Radar Aircraft picks up the Crownguard units.... "Sir! Picking up in-bounds over Romakian airspace..."
"Heading?"
"Straight over Romakia City sir... It appears they're deploying units to the west of the city..."
"Shit, get the Premier on the horn and give him the sitrep."
"Affirmative sir...", the operator picks up a radio and is patched through to Premier Chlevenkov... After a lengthy discussion the operator sets the radio down... "Sir, he's mobilized the 1st and 7th Army Groups as well as the 12, 14th and 44th Infantry Divisions and IV Armor Corps. He's also mobilized all airborne divisions as well as all airborne armor divisions and will be deploying to Fort Minotov (named after region in which it resides) for possible action against Crownguard..."
The colonel overseer nods with the affirmative, "Very well."
---------------
At Fort Minotov, the current garrison of 800 men are quickly rallied and prepared to defend the position which lies about 23 miles from the Romakia-South Romakia border. Active flights of DP-21 interceptors are deployed to survey the Crownguard air forces in the area, of course the DP-21s stay well out of the Crownguard aircrafts' radar range but are still able to survey the enemy aircraft with its powerful Zvarinograd-provided radar and tracking systems.
Light reconnaisance helicopter squadrons, with the rather stealthy SAH-04 advanced attack helicopter, begin making wide passes around the Crownguard-deployed 'EM-12' troopers... Staying well out of firing range...
SAM and other AA batteries are quickly deployed around Fort Minotov to intercept and destroy any enemy aircraft...
Hours after the activation notice, the 14000 men mobilized begin arriving aboard air transports at Fort Minotov as well as some by helicopter and rail transport. It takes days until all 14000 men are in the base and another week for their equipment to arrive. The tanks mobilized (T-06s, T-08s, T-04s, ST-11s) begin arriving aboard rail transports along with their infantry vehicles (SIV-01s, SIV-04s, SIV-11s, VAT-01s, and BMP-3s). Squadron after squadron of attack and transport helicopters begin arriving at Fort Minitov, nearly 320 SAH-01, 210 SAH-03, and 130 SAH-04 as well as numerous transport helicopters (HVN-01, HVN-02, HVC-03, Mi-8, Mi-24, Mi-35) begin arriving.
Six thousand men from the ARSB airborne assault corps begin parachuting about 20 miles into Romakia along with the airborne armor corps (which drop in with T-05s, SIV-11s, and MMPWVs) and begin setting up a forward operating base.
The small garrisons of ARSB soldiers across Romakia begin reorganizing into larger groups, but still too small... The largest is some 360 men, in Romakia city. Over all there are four of these garrisons, one in Romakia City, the other in Hjemkomst City, and two more scattered in between large fields of villages. They begin to dig in and await reinforcements from the main-body ARSB forces.
The ARSB 1st Fleet sets sail for Romakia, particularly Romakia City, to either intercept or halt the Crownguard flotilla. Riding along with the 1st Fleet is the 29th Army Group and the 3rd Marine Group, prepared to deploy in Romakia City.
OOC- Sorry for the massive time-speed up... But I needed to.

*Outside Romakia City, 0200 Hours*
**A shadow flitted across the lunar lit landscape, a slight brush against an outstpread pine the only indictator it was ever there. Several more shadows seemed to detach from the woodlands, spreading out in a flanking motion. Edmund Burke shivered, damning the cold and wishing for his cigarette. Alas...no..no lights..nothing of any kind. They had all taken the military training, they all knew the rules of the business. Overhead, A small wing of Darkstars flew in formation, heading for a bombing mission in the wee hours of night. Activity had been spotted by the satellite photos overhead, troops were mobilizing...a pity this would hold them up for awhile. He smiled to himself, heading for the roendevous point int he city, sheletered amidst the black "ninja suits" of a special ops trooper, staring over the empty scene of the suburbs with IR goggles. He hauled along, burdened by the heavy bag as the EM-2 spread out, clearing out a small base of operations in an empty school for the night, taking the suprised guards and janitors and tying them up, They had a base of operations till the rendevous tomorrow. Who would bomb a school or even go to check it out on a weekend???**
**Fort Minotov**
No one expected stealth drone bombers...a nice observation a long ago commended Major in the CAF had suggested. Several black lances seem to detach from each other bombers, piloted from afar via radio signal. These missiles seem to break apart halfway down, filling the air with chaff and mini bomblets sinking down to the ground at high velocity. Explosions beckoned as the air suddenly became a blizzard of activity for the AA systems.**
**Then the planes were sent to fly right for the base itself. Kamikaze had taken a whole new meaning in warfare, with bombers loaded with explosives throughout the hull...**
**A lone B-3 Dragon, piloted by 20 brave men and women, flew over the scene..enabling the last of the lovely tricks in this suprise attack. A nozzle extended from the bottom, fuel was splayed out over the landscape along with heavily concentrated gasoline fumes...a FAE (Fuel Air Explosive). Aircraft never seemed to have pity......** *A message was blared out over every transponder, urging the soldiers to abandon all their gear and run....or else face a veritable firestorm...**
** Back in Gariland City, Tercero Xavier Delryn worked the people up into a war frenzy, production quotas had to be maintained, and all were used to rationing when needed. If not stopped, the soviets would press onward as a veriable wave of humanity...**
**Astride the helm of the flagship Insurmountable, Admiral Kell lead the supergroup inexorably onward towards distant shores as underneath the water, hidden dangers armed with Harpoons and SAW torpedoes patrolled the depths...**

Suddenly, pings went off on mobile radars, it was too late, the bomblets were already raining down on the base but they sounded the alarm anyways and the klaxors and sirens went off. Men began running for cover under anything they could find, many of the ST-11s were able to quicly pull out of the base, because they were being prepared for a quick move to a forward point and were already running. However, en route to leave the fort, three ST-11s were disabled when bomblets hit in close proximity and knocked out their treads and dislodged the running wheels. It wasn't long after and UAZs, MMPWVs, T-05s (which had not been running and therefore were sitting ducks), and other vehicles were charred and crumpled up, small flicks of flame residing inside of the hulks.
In the end, 42 Soviet Bloc soldiers were killed in the bomb run, 128 wounded. Among equipment loses were three ST-11s, sixteen UAZs, twelve MMPWVs, eleven T-05s, fourteen URALs, seventeen SIV-11s, and four SAH-01s (sitting on the tarmac).
When everyone thought it was over, the roars of the drones were heard again.. And suddenly an explosion occurs and sends it shockwave across the base, one of them slammed into a barracks housing, flashboiling 30 hiding soldiers. Modified SIV-11s (SAM-capable) began emerging from the hangars in which they were stored and parked. Immediately there after, six thumps were heard as two of them fired off three missiles apiece. The missiles could hardly get a lock-on at this close proximity but one of them managed to hit a drone, causing it to tumble of course and hit the earth aways from the base. The other missiles were unsuccessful, one drone managed to slam right into an SIV-11, sending it flying into the hangar and knocking a hole into the steel structure. The rest of the drones slammed into the base, knocking out a portable radar station and killing another 50 soldiers and wounding 80 more.
Then came the airborne message... Men began scurrying out of the base in droves, others hid inside the buildings, and others opened fire on the craft with machine gun fire. The two remaining SAM-modified SIV-11s targeted the aircraft as it was outside the base's perimeter and fired off a salvo of about 4 missiles... Two flew into an arching fireball, another flew off into the distance from all the chaff and the final one screamed towards the B-3... But exploded too short, only causing the B-3 to slightly waiver...
Captain Gorovich, who was now in command of the base picked up a radio to the forward base... R>"This is Fort Minotov, we are under attack by unknown airborne forces. Heavy casualties, currently being harassed by fast moving aircraft, calling in air support, preferrably DP-21 interceptors..."
The response, "Aye, we're calling up a four-craft squadron of DP-21s... We can pretty much fire from our current position but we'll send them in for a closer lookand a guaranteed kill."
"Good, make it fast..." He looked out his cracked window and spotted the mist descending upon the base... "Shit..." he had little time to react before some burning fire nearby lit the fuel up and created a massive firestorm, enveloping the base in mere moments... Luckily, the air field escaped complete destruction and many personnel were able to escape aboard helicopters... The army personnel weren't so lucky , the fire quickly destroyed every building in the base and completely destroyed the 12 T-05s, 18 T-06s, 11 SIV-11s, 4 URALs, and 18 small vehicles sitting inside as well as killed the 140 men inside, including Capt. Gorovich...
The commander of the forward operating base received the grim word of Fort Minotov's destruction... He frowned, an expected 400 men would be arriving, those that escaped Ft. Minotov... He did let out a smile though, whatever that aircraft was, it'd be getting a nice surprise soon rammed up its exhaust...
The four DP-21 long-range interceptor and EW craft meandered through the night... Their EW suite protected them from most missiles and detection, it also scrambled any GPS receivers in the area. Eventually their long-range radar picks up the Crownguard craft as its heading away from the base... They sneak ever closer before unleasing airborne hell, the CFAR XRAAM... A total of three missiles are released and they streak across the night towards the Crownguard craft at too fast of a speed than the presumably lumbering craft can handle.
The word quickly gets through to the Soviet Bloc general in command of the forces in Romakia, he quickly orders a strike of retaliation on Crownguard assets in Romakia, the only place they've seen them so far, is where those troops dropped in and also calls off the air lift of the 14000 men and equipment, re-ordering them to head for Forward Operating Base-Kriptokovsk... The Romakia City base quickly deploys a squadron of SAH-04s which seek out the last position the soldiers were spotted in... NOt long after and the helicopters begin harassing the soldiers, circling around and firing off ATGMs, 81mm rockets, and 25mm cannon rounds into the group of soldiers. The choppers call in for ground support and the call is answered by a 16-tank squadron of ST-11s, a 6-tank quick deployment force of T-05s, four SIV-11s, and about 140 men... Which begin encircling the Crownguard forces while opening fire with the ST-11's ETC cannons and the infantry's OC-14 Groza assault rifles.
Immediately after, a group of reconnaisance MMPWVs swarm into the arena... Opening fire with their mounted .50 caliber weapons. Along with the MMPWVs come a small air cavalry group on HVC-03 transports, they quickly land and drop of the 46 men and the HVC-03s begin taking up the role of ground support with their rocket pods.
The officer in command of the ground force harassing the Crownguard soldiers thought to himself some... They had caught them heading north towards Hjemkomst City... He wondered to himself what they wanted in that city and quickly called up command which in turn called the military garrison in Hjemkomst City, which began sending out its elite Spetsnaz-type special operatives into the city to pick up any information on anything going on...

Due to the apparant stale-mate within Romakia, the ARSB has deployed one of its special forces regiments, one of the Spetsnaz regiments (Spetsnaz are equipped with the Vepr combat enhancement system) to reinforce the front lines. Also, the leadership of the ARSB has decided not to annex the portion of Romakia known as South Romakia, but rather install a government and make it a seperate nation of the same name. The ARSB will heavily support the nation of South Romakia and will provide for its defense by building bases and stationing troops there.
OOC-Waiting for that possible reply by Crownguard.
