With the coming of the Corinth Dleroes SubCarrier, the UCSNE realized it's need to modernize it's subsurface fleet to it's standards. But rather than redesigning all of the old attack and missile boats, we have decided to create a new class of sub, the Gewehrston.
Length-180 meters
Powerplant-2 General Atomics Type 34 Pebble Bed Reactor
Propulsion-4 MHD in hull, feed from mid length
Maximum Speed-45 knots
Mission Length-Unlimited Range (10 years worth reactor fuel), can hold enough supplies for a full crew mission of 250 days
Sensors/Electronics/Extra Systems
Athena-N antiradar for when surfaced
"Whisper" Sound Absorbing Gel
GPS/Mag8 Navigational system
Laser/Radio/Datapulse capable Comms
Damage Control, Makeshift underwater Emergency Habitat for up to 330, sealant, airtight bulkhead lockdown capable
50 shot ACAP Decoy System
LADAR, EMS, UV, Sonar
Armor-400mm CB/TM/AW layering
Armarment
96 tube VLS system, with ColdFire for underwater and surface launch.
6 forward, 4 rear Torpedo tubes, using SEADAGGER, SEASLAM, SEAFIST, SEAFURY series torpedoes, supercacitating torpedoes, Sea launched missiles.
6 Poseidon Anti-projectile/mine/subcraft turrets, each with independent sensor arrays linked to the sub's primary fire control computer. Each Poseidon has 4 20mm Railguns using supercavitating rounds to destroy underwater targets, and, if necessary, AP, HE, and KEAPER to destroy targets over the surface, such as hovering ASW VTOLs.
220 SEASHIELD S-SLIDs, or Supercavitating Small Low Cost Interceptor devices, fired out of 4 racks on top and bottom of the sub.
The Gewehrston also sports room for
4 Unmanned Submersible Littoral Combatants or
4 Phast USV or
4 SuperManta USV or
4 Subfighters or
2 Medium Subcraft
Crew-Up to 90 men due to advanced automation, room for 20 more (Crew for any USVs or subcraft)
Cost-2.5 billion per submarine, to be procured at a rate of 1 per year to fill the NENs requirement.

A splendid boat indeed.

She is, but if it wasn't for the Dleoroes and the subfighters, this boat wouldn't have gotten her feet wet, maybe not even designed.

Are you selling them? If so I'll take one.

Yes, I've gone over the idea of Sub-Carriers and submarine based fighters with my R&D personnel, but right now we have yet to have designed a cost efficient one. We're still working on it, but we won't be able to actually start any real construction until we've completed our new line of SSGNs.

Well, no. It's not. The UCSNE has abseloutely no intrest whatsover in selling a sub it can only produce at one a year, and only has one of. Once the required amount is built, it will be availble for export to APTO and NAIA members. It is highly unlikely it will reach mass foreign export due to the complexity and cost of the submarine.

The first subfighter constructed was nothing more than a streamlined, armed minisub. From there, designs evolved so that they now look more like aircraft rather than submarines. We found subcarriers and subfighters were necessary to conduct low profile strikes and protect our seafloor mines, farms, and facilities. The UCSNE govt. actually has provided aid to other nations submersible warfare programs in the past.
