Assassination of Prime Minister Gurrady Duke

24-01-2004, 09:21
The Convoy approach the palace gates at relatively twenty kilometers per hour. As usual the guards will open the gates. But there were no guards. Immediately the convoy stopped and the security personnel surrounded the convoy. The Minister was in the middle car while two security cars were infront and behind him. The security detail knew something was amiss as there were always guards to open the gate...it was protocol. As soon as the head of the detail, Samad Ismail raised his radio, a RPG hit the last security vehicle. It exploded killing five of the bodyguards.

Next was mayhem. Automatic fire rang in the air and more of the security detail was shot down. Another RPG finished the first car and soon all of the detail was lying dead. The minister car was the only one still unharmed. Camoflauged soldiers came out of nowhere and surrounded the vehicle. Gate security cameras caught everything and the Minister's Car had a black box to record the happenings.

The soldiers pulled the minister out and his last surviving bodyguard and placed them at the wall. They blindfolded him and there they executed, him and his bodyguard. This soldiers have been identified but are considered MIA. They left a note next to the body of the Prime Minister stating mutiny and also condemning the recent actions taken by the government.

The Crown of Farstaristan made a public address telling of PM Gurrady Duke's death and that he had asked for the resignation of two of his six Generals of Armed Forces. Later news was received that the Crown of Farstaristan has evacuated to an undisclosed location.

Six hours later General Al-Asad had declared Martial Law. No further details were mentioned. But rumours of a civil war between two of the biggest races in Farstaristan the Indo-Chinese and the Natives are no confirmed. The mutinous soldiers are confirmed to be Indo-Chinese and the Prime Minister is a Native.

Reports comfirm earlier suspicions. Civil War has erupted in Farstaristan. The Crown of Farstaristan has been evacuated and so has his family. However most of the Ministers and Cabinet Members are still in the country. The Civil War began after racists action were said to be taken against the minority of Indo-Chinese. The Natives however rebunked this claim and ignored the Indo-Chinese demands. Now the armed forces are split into three factions.

One faction is the Indo-Chinese Resistance. The Second is the Native Fighters and the third is the Loyalists, who seem to remain neutral and are made up of Natives and Indo-Chinese who do not want to be involved in this conflict. Civilians are being guarded by the Loyalists. The Resistance have taken mostly the eastern and southern provinces of Farstaristan while the Fighters take the Northern sector. The Loyalists are in the western and central area, currently holding the capital and three other major cities. All embassies have been evacuated and all tourists to Farstaristan are being sent back to thier homeland.

General Al-Asad who is in charge of the Loyalists have given orders to protect the capital at all costs. The air force and navy however are not affected and joined the Loyalists. Conflicts are mostly at the town of Bashir and Hambali. Minor civilian clashes in the cities and capital have been put down.

No comment were being given by General Tal-Gani of the Native Fighters but General Tan Khok Yen was available for comment. Quote, "We will fight day and night until this regime is dead. We are not to be put down like a rabid dog. We are a proud people and the Natives should listen more to us. They are all bigots!"

General Al-Asad had something to say to both sides, "As a loyal general to the crown I can say both of you idiots are causing great shame to this holy sultanate. We built this empire from scratch and now we have to watch you tear it down! Where is the patriotism! We are Farstarnis and we must uphold the Crown. I do no have any problems with the Indo-Chinese. My second in command is an Indo-Chinese."

General Kan Jiasen is indeed the second of Al-Asad. He and General Al-Asad have been friends since days in BMT(Basic-Military Training).

Minister of Minorty Populace, Heng Kah Seng, has made a speech with Minister of Defence, Dirk Derrick, brother of Acting PM Gus Derrick, a native, on social cohesion. They told all civilians that in this time they must stay strong and united. And together they can get through this.

To all who do not know. The natives are basically split into two religions, Christians and Muslims. Indo-Chinese are made up of Buddists, Muslims and Christians. However this war is not about religion but rather about racial discrimination.

We support the Natives, and if any assistance is needed, all you have to do is call.
24-01-2004, 12:10
Islas del Filipinas will remain in Neutral Ground and will try to resolve this matter thru diplomacy. We hae heard of their arrival at our country and our Prime Minister would like to know the issues being presented by each of the factions.

The Crown of Farstaristan mostly listened. He was being very quiet about th matter and did not speak too much. The Prime Minister was heading the Native side of the story, stating the Indo-Chinese did not voice thier concerns seriously.

Gen. Khok Yen rebuted that the strikes were there for a reason. But the Prime Minister countered telling Khok Yen the claims made were unreasonable. General Al-Asad also stood silent and so did Tal-Gani.

Seven hours passed and the debate was hot. Khok Yen had voiced all the unfairness the minority had to go through. Everything from Job Interviews to College Applications to Television Programmes.

Al-Asad finally spoke out.

He condemned the attack on the late Prime Minister Gurrady Duke and he stressed how fighting would ruin everything. He also condemned the Natives for not seeing the needs of the minorities.

The Debate rages on...

The Prime Minister of Islas del Filipinas stood out and mediate and suggested... "Why don't we held a referendum regarding this issues. Let us ask other nations and the U.N. Secretary General to solve this matter.

We could also form a coalition government which will represent every faction fair and square"
24-01-2004, 13:27
that is a very good idea and i suggest that all factions have an equal say in all matters

The Crown of Farstaristan was deep in thought. Four days of talks and still no end to it. Finally he stood and walked up and down the conference room. It was time to assert his power.

"First of all. I must say I am King and Lord of Farstaristan. I was entrusted to lead the people of Farstaristan to victory. Yet its people struggle to co-exist."

Then taking a deep breath he continued.

"Let us give in here and there. We as Natives outnumber the Indo-Chinese two to one. However most of us are neither pure of each race. Not even I. I have a little Indo-Chinese blood in me. We cannot let this racial tension continue. We must oversee this. We must give and take."

Then looking into General Tan Khok Yen's face he said slowly. "I now declare all Laws to Native Rights expelled. All Native Incentives suspended and all Minority Censors banished. We will start a new. Re-writing the laws on the Rights of Natives. We wil lessen the burden to the minority in Farstaristan."

"However. Once you step into Farstaristan again. I will demand your resignation and immediate arrest for mutiny. Then you shall serve the sentence...of Death."

"You will accept this as it is an honourable death. You will die a hero of this nation. But no one is above the law and what you did will be forgiven if you accept this sentence."

General Khok Yen nodded. He stood slowly and bowed at the King. "I shall leave tomorrow my King. I am sorry for what I have done. I agree it was foolish but it was nessasary. I accept my sentence."

He left the room quickly escorted by his detail.

The King sighed and looked at the rest who were gathered. "General Tal-Gani. I also will request your resignation when you return. You made the situation worst. Forming a rogue army and overiding General Al-Asad's orders. You will serve sentence of twenty years in the Military Prison and twenty more in a civilian one, for mutiny and the death of 143 soldiers."

General Tal-Gani was about to respond when guards entered and escorted him out.

"I must talk to my country now. I will leave immediately. Thank you for all the hospitality given to me and my men Prime Minister Shen Brood."
25-01-2004, 10:11
Shen nodded and said, "I am happy for the issue had been resolved be it know to you and your people that we will always be here to help whatever is in need of our aid and assistance so long as it is for the good of all"

Before the King of Farstaristan could go, he was first given a Golden Ring with the Seal of the COuntry... this is a symbol of beiong an honorary citizen of Islas del Filipinas.

"We bid you farewell and good luck, your majesty!"

-He swiveled in his chair as the door to his office opened.-

"Sir! Noteworthy intelligence coming in. The government of Farstaristan has been overthrown by a military coup."

Generalissimo Lobonsky, a man of 47 years rose from his desk and accepted the papers offered to him by the young KGB officer.

"Very good, Yuri," he stated as he scanned over the papers that is raw information being taken off media teletype, "Do we have recon in the area?"

"Comrade, we have our aerial recon planes ready to go."

Josef shook his head, "Nyet, that would be too intrusive. Satellite passovers?"

Yuri opened his briefcase and searched through for a paper, "Schedules report we should have a Auk-IV overhead in approximately 3 hours."

The seasoned war veteran nodded, "Very well. Arrange for pictures. Map the country. Dismissed." Watching the young officer leave, he pressed a button on his intercom, "Have Ambassador Dzhugashvili come to my office."

Josef leaned back in his chair, wondering what this revolution was all about. He knew the country's reaction. "A Communist in MY nation?" He was used to it. A common misconception is that a dictatorship such as Cuba, Stalin, China is "Communism". No, Communism has never truly existed. He looks up as the learned ambassador arrives.

"Greetings comrade."

"Hello, Alek. I want you to send an official message to the Crown of Farstaristan. State that we are interested in this event and may pledge our support if necessary. That is all."

"Da, comrade."

This could prove to be interesting.

OOC: The reason I still posted even though it is 'resovled' is because most of this happened internally... To all aspects it appears that war is still simmering.

It seems that a civil war that erupted in Farstaristan barely six days ago has been resolved. The Crown of Farstaristan made a rare appearance on air and said to his nation that the two sides have decided to acknowledge each others problems. However the Indo-Chinese general, Khok Yen was said to be sentence to death by firing squad. But the Crown added it was a death of honour and a statue would be erected in the town of Hambali where Khok Yen stood his ground against forces of General Tal-Gani.

Sadly it seems, General Tal-Gani is sentenced to a three decade long prison stay for the death of the soldiers. The Crown of Farstaristan has decided not to end Martial Law as some separatists still linger.

Reports of explosions in central of Farstaristan has concerns that terrorists who are unpleased with the current mornarchy are plotting to revive the hatred. The terrorists are rumoured to be Indo-Chinese group of Hai-Kim. They are lead by Ang Su Tong and his brother Ang Luo Kwan.

Military personnel are deployed almost everywhere in the state and they are awaiting further orders by General Al-Asad.

On a side note. The new Prime Minister of Farstaristan was put into office just two hours ago. His identity remains unknown due to security reasons. The Crown and his family will reside in Islas del Filipinas for the next few weeks.

The Crown of Farstaristan looked at the message he received. He picked up the phone and pressed for General Al-Asad.

"General Asad speaking."

"General. I need you to intensify our defenses again and I received word from an interesting source...the communists."

"What do they want?" General Al-Asad asked.

"Hmm...It seems they want to help. But I am unsure right now. We must look strong. Deploy the Blanket Radar and put it to full power to it. Use reactor seven and eight. No satellite will pass through our skies...And do routine flyovers."

"Yes sire. Consider it done."
