During the state ball that followed a funeral, several young people were kidnapped by elements of the old empire that crumbled under the might of freedom and justice. An unknown number of kidnappers, under the cover of an unexplained blackout, have taken away, among other people, the Secretary of State, President Masaki's younger brother, the daughter of President Featherston of Corneliu, and made attempts on the children of the New Republic President, but failed. A note was found on the grounds of the Presidential Castle, and listed the demands.

[code:1:f81f852ee4]To the leaders of Coreworlds, Corneliu and other nations. If you ever want to see your precious family members and friends again, this is our demands, and they must be carried out exactly.
1. The President and cabinet members of Coreworlds must resign within 48 hours.
2. All military units of Fedral Union and Corneliu on Coreworlds soil must begin removing themselves within the same timeframe.
3. All dark Jedi prisoners must be released. There are, we believe, 10 left.
4. No Special Forces are to search anywhere for us. This includes Jedi or ninjas. We have placed powerful bombs in several civilian areas, so that if any of the above are spotted, people will die.
5. 20 million credits are to be given. 10 in twenty-credit notes and 10 in gems, jewelry and gold. We will give you the time and place to give the money to us at our convenience.

If all demands are met, our...charges will be released safely.

"I know a lot about all of you. My spies travel the world, learning secrets that even your father does not know."
"Grr. Let us go!" Kayko screamed.
"It is not so simple, you know? I know your handsome princes will ride, galloping to save the damsels in distress. And of course, the weak boys."
"I'll show you weak!" a young boy, Konohamaru (Naruto's young rival; about 10) yelled, and struggled to get out of the bonds. Gatou simply laughed at the futile gesture.
"I'll see you children later. Behave yourselves, or else." He pointed to the guards and the ninjas that kidnapped the kids.
The businessman hobbled away on his cane, and turned to a powerful ninja named Kabuto. "Initiate Phase 2."

Phase 2:
A series of massive terror attacks on the population of Coreworlds.

Car bombs rammed schools and exploded, killing dozens of students. An orphanage was hijacked, sparking a dangerous hostage situation. Two gunmen walked into the Core Senate and shot up the place before being killed by the SWAT that showed up. 5 senators were killed and 20 injured, 6 serious. Ninjas attacked special ops squads that sought to search for the terrorist headquarters, killing several of our own men. A shopping mall in downtown New Madrid was attacked, with numerous people killed.

By picking the most vulnerable targets, the CRE terror group hope to frighten the population into submission and force their demands to be met.

We require medical aid, as our hospitals are swamped with the injured. Beware, as the terrorists have especially targeted special ops units.

The Protectoriate of Majesto's Prime Minister is currently sending 300 soldiers to help secure your urban areas so that the local army can go after the responisble parties. They are well trained citizen-soldiers, rest assured, your cities will be safe. At the same time, the Jedi, Sasuke's Ninjas, and the demons managed to take down sentries posted on the roof of the warehouses surrounding the target one. Viper team set up snipers, and searched for other snipers.

"Sir. We have the money. and to top it all, there is a nuclear suitcase taken from the leader of Fedral Union."
"Interesting, we can use that later. Now, kill them."
"Yes sir."

An RPG was set up, and the guy took aim.
"Jump!" I shouted, and the leaders dove away as the rocket blew up the car. "GO!"

Featherston pulls out his gun and opens fire. Special Forces stationed throughout the area also opened fired.

Team 7 breaks into the compound and kills 2 would be assassins.

"Team 4 break to the left, I'll break right. Team 7 is already inside. You come with me" he said to the special ops guys.

They managed to get inside the building with no casualties. Team 4 also breaks in on the side that they were assigned too.

Seconds later, with the jedi leading the way, got to the area where the people where being held.

"This is President Featherston of Corneliu. We are here to rescue you." He shouted as he stands right outside the door.

The jedi melted the lock and dove straight in. Featherston raced over and hugged his daughter. "Lauren, you ok?"

"Daddy" She cried as she fell into his arms.

"Lauren!" Jacen yelled.

"Jacen!" She broke away from her father and hugged Jacen.

We moved out of the warehouse, when a familiar voice filed the air.
"So you think you've won, eh?" Gatou sneered, as he flew up in a personal vertical jet (villains have all the good things). "Well, let's see you try and find the bombs still scattered all over the nation. You have twelve hours to find them all. Goodbye, for now! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Then he zoomed away, and fighters were ordered after him, but he was fast, and escaped.

Meanwhile, the older Solos had Artoo with them, so that the plucky droid could defuse any bomb they found.
"Oh, do be careful, Artoo, when you defuse those bombs." Threepio said, in that British-sounding voice everyone knows. "Why, I wouldn't know what to do otherwise!"
The smaller droid whistled that he was going to be fine, so don't you worry.
They found the first bomb in a shopping mall.
"The first package has been found. A shopping mall to the west of the city." Leia radioed a unit. The droid used one of it's many Swiss-army tools, and carefully defused the bomb. Now it is ready to be picked up by the bomb squads.

I was in a Blackhawk, with my brother. He was okay, and I retrieved his lightsaber. "You still have much to learn." I joked.
"Yes, Master." He mock-bowed as much as possible while strapped, and then we laughed.
"So where to?" He asked.
"We'll try the schools. You go to the middle school over there, and I'll take the high school." Both buildings were evacuated, due to the threats of bombs everywhere. A demo expert were to follow each of us.
We landed, and got to work searching for the damned explosives.

My nation has The League of Extaordinary Gentlemen on our side' to deal with your chrisis I lend you some invisible spies. :P

Yep. You are partially right. There is a small group of terrorist hackers in those caves. However, they are not the main hackers, but half-decoy and half-reserves. The main hackers are in a mansion somewhere else, but it is too heavily armed to destroy without an actual ground invasion.

Tomahawks from ships at sea bombard the mansion itself, as the army cuts off all road links to the mansion. Fighters watch for any planes or helicopters, and prepare to shoot them down. F-4 Wild Weasels are called in to deal with the SAMs and defense radars scattered on the roof of the giant house. Several recieve damage and limp home.

The terrorist hackers have their computers flooded, and they nearly crash. They have one trump card left. A vicious attack on the Internet itself, leaving the single link to the nukes alive. " The noonday sun blazed down from the fiery dome of the sky. The harsh, dry sands of what once was known as the Blood Cabal baked in the pitiless blaze as in a giant oven. The final assault of Operation Stop the Nukes has begun. Allied soldiers have begun the invasion, led by the Jedi who deflected as many lasers as they could back at the enemy. The front door was breached...a vicious firefight began...the last stand of the terrorists...
"Sir! They've breached the door!"
"This is it! Launch the missiles! NOW!" Gatou screamed.

At the Cheynne Mountains NORAD base in Colorado and the Hollywood base here, soldiers staring at the screens saw their worst fears confirmed.
"Missile launch! Missile launch!" They cried. The Hollywood base came back online despite the danger to warn us all.
"Mr. President, Get the hell out of there!"
"Most of the city's eva...nuts!" I stared in horror as distant plumes of light lifted off. "Take them down!"
Helicopters that could be spared took as many children as they could carry, as the citizens ran as fast and as far as they could.

The rightmost missile explodes and showers the others with sparks. The sparks ignite the debris of the others, and hits the Squishy's shielding. It holds.

[b]BOOM BOOM, say the small kids with cap guns. "I LOVE MY MOMMY! WHERE'S MY MOMMY! A PILE OF POOPOO ON THE STREET!" Meanwhile, the "satellites", floating pieces of cardboard wired with a small lightbulb in space, suddenly catch fire and burn up in the atmosphere.

Since we have the New Republic's people here, the Falcon lifted off and helped to shoot down as many missiles as they can. A Star Destroyer, hearing the cries for aid, jumps insystem and helps to destroy more of the missiles (it's not mine, it's the New Republic's).

The city is almost totally evacuated, but there are still people within the 5-mile danger zone (most buidings destroyed; high heat and blast wave). I flew past the 20 mile mark, and we set down to head for the shelters. My friends and family are with me.

Between our own satellites, the Star Destroyer, the Froggyship, fighters nearby and President Bush's ABM missile system (not to mention the Fedral Union), over 90% of the missiles were destroyed. The Falcon and Jaina in Luke's X-wing bagged an extra 15. The final 10 missiles reached terminal velocity. Rogue Squadron succeeded in killing 9 of them.
The final missile reached the terminal altitude required for detonation over Core City.

A gigantic flash of light nearly blinded us, then the air suddenly became too warm for comfort. The sound and blast wave came over us next. I heard buildings and other objects crash around us.
"I'm scared! Waah!" A small child cried.
"Shh. It's OK. It's OK." I picked him up and soothed the child with my voice and projecting feelings of calm into him. The ground shook as the blast passed, and the pressure wave reversed.
After ten or so minutes, the noise slacked off.

After a few minutes, we crawled out of the shelter. The mushroom cloud can still be seen, and the disturbance in the Force of so many people killed by this explosion nearly overwhelmed me.
So much destruction, from such a crazy madman.

Luke and the other Jedi finished cleaning up the terrorists, when a wave of death, feeling like thousands of people dying, washed over them. It wasn't as large as the destruction of Alderaan, but it was still a hefty blow. He felt for his family, and was relieved that they were still alive.
General Wellington saw the glow in the distance, and said a short prayer for the dead.
Gatou was found in the cellar, completely stoned on booze. He would be taken away for crimes against humanity.

President Featherston stays calm.

"Captain, looks like we've won this engagement."

"It appears so sir! However, I don't like the idea of blowing up these missiles with us in the area."

"Don't worry about it my friend. Here in this shelter, we are protected. Now, I want my plane ready to go. Get my family onboard first. If you can find him, tell President Masaki that I'm heading to my plane and lifting off. Also tell him, the plane will land at CoreWorld's Airport when the crisis is over. Clear?"

With that Captain Jamison immediately issues the orders and Featherston is quickly whisked away towards his plane.

Squads of soldiers, with dog squads from all over the world, helped people trapped in buildings that collapsed in the attack. There is a lot of work to do in rebuilding the capital. At least most of the people were evacuated, but still...

The fallout will cause a higher than normal cancer rate in the future, but that is in the future. The Senate will reconvene in Adumar, west of the capital to pass emergency spending bills. The Jedi will keep order, and also help find survivors of the bomb.

Our convoys have arrived . at your nation and are awiteing instuctions on how to prosseed.

Medical and people-finding personnel are top priority at this moment. We have thousands with varying degrees of burns and other injuries. Collapsed buildings will need to be searched for survivors.

Meanwhile, SAR crew and medical droids from the New Republic arrived to help out. The Destroyer left to other parts of the galaxy, and in return, came medical transports. The relief aid pouring in from all over, from the Red Cross, to the Konoha doctors to our own crew, is nearly overwhelming, but we managed to delegate prioirites to each medical and SAR unit.

A day passes...bodies are buried. I walk on top of a hill near the capital and watch the scene. A hot breeze passes through what's left of the once magnificent city. Now, only a few buildings escaped destruction, and those buildings will need to be torn down. I sighed. At least the whole fiasco is finally over. The terrorists have been captured, and all cells bombed to oblivion. The last of the Dark Jedi was defeated in combat by Jacen, Anakin and their Uncle Luke. Peace, at last, but not without it's terrible price. The death toll rose past ten thousand, and we will probably never know the exact number of people killed in the nuclear attack.

"John?" Toni stood next to me.
"Toni." I held her. "Tell me. Why does this have to happen? After all we've done to prevent terrorism and tyranny, why the hell do people insist on killing and killing, until there is nothing left but the ones who killed the most?"
"I-I don't know. I suppose it's just evil at work. All we can do, my love, is hold back the tide for as long as we can."
"But it seems to me that evil would win, despite everything that we could ever do. What if, in the end, it didn't matter what we did?"

"I want every inch of that area saturated. Assist the wounded but make sure they don't become victims themselves. We need to offer as much assistance as possible. Notify the Treasury. Tell them that we are going to donate 5 billion dollars to CoreWorlds. I don't care what they say. Understand?"

The fighters in the air contacted President Featherston's plane to say that the nearest airport that's handling flights now is the Adumar International Airport, to the west of the capital.

Meanwhile, more survivors were taken to makeshaft hospital tents to be treated for minor wounds. The critical and serious were taken to hospitals around the nation. The area five miles around the capital itself was cordoned off from the rest of the nation, due to the radiation. Soldiers in rad suits trudged into the inner zone to search for any lucky survivors. They found few, not surprisingly.

It'll be a few months, at least, until it would be safe to rebuild the capital. For the next two weeks, the national flag would be lowered to half-staff, in mourning.

The CWNN chapter of Selonia took up the task of reporting the news, and in respect, they kept up-to-date reports to a minimum. The Senate quickly passed a $100 billion emergency bill to aid the reconstruction effort, and then recessed to aid as much as they could. The outpouring of national sentiment was just as powerful as that of 9/11, as the people came out in crowds to pray, and help. Carpenters, artists, teachers, businesspeople, doctors, it didn't matter what profession they were, as they all pitched in to aid however they could.

When the plane landed, President Featherston stepped off the plane and headed for the what served as the capitol building for now.

His agents have guns drawn and are making sure no one can assassinate him. Helicopters are also flying over head and planes are stacked.

President Featherston oversaw some of the rebuilding. As he walks with President Masaki, he said, "I'm sorry for doing this, but I do have to get back to Liberty City. I have to make sure our domestic policies are still doing what they are suppose to be doing. I'm sure you understand. If you need anything else my friend, either Call me directly or tell the Ambassador and it'll get to me that way. Good Luck my dear friend and May the Force and God go with you."

OOC: PFM, it seems you'll have to post again, it didn't go through.

As President Robert landed, four PFM security operatives rushed out of the hall, and two covered the street with their M87 rifles as the others ushered the 16-year old inside.

"Sir, you'd better go straight through, they are waiting for you" said one, before leading the President into a windowless room.

Inside the room sat the CoreWorlds delegates, and the three diplomats from the PFM transport. They sat facing a row of comfortable chairs, meant for President Robert to sit in.

As he entered, the first diplomat rose. He was an aging man, in his late-50's, balding, and wore an ill-fitting suit, completed with a pair of half-moon glasses.

"Honoured delegates, my name is Abdul Jalil. I am here as an official representative of the Supreme Leader. My colleagues and i are here to outline the plan for the PFM response to this tragedy. Firstly, i extend His sorrow to yourself and your people. There will be two key focuses to our response. One civilian, and one military. To tell you of the civilian plan, here is my esteemed colleague, Ms Rahjeen Ali"

As he sat down, the second diplomat rose. She wore a smart expensive looking trouser suit. Despite her age, somewhere around her early 40's, she was still slim, and epitomised a strict business-woman. Ali spoke with a thick accent, Middle Eastern in origin.

"Thankyou Mr Jalil. As Mr Jalil has already told you, I am here to brief you on the civilian aspect to our response. I represent PFCorp, a major design and construction firm in PFM."

Ali typed into a laptop in front of her, and images appeared on the wall behind her, emitted from a data projector on the desk directly in front of Robert.

"As you can see, our plans include major new parkland, open-plan shopping malls, and large office complexes." she continued.

The images showed a large 3-d map of the city, and it panned down, 'flying' through a street, revealing high-rise office blocks giving way to open parkland, with a central feature of archs and fountains.

"The funding for planning has been provided by the PFM government, and His Supremeness will also provide funding for the initial construction. It is hoped further funding will be provided by other governments from around the world. That concludes my presentation, so i will now hand you over to Colonel Zagreb, for our planned military response."

Ali sat down, and Zagreb rose to her feet. She was young, her early 30's at most, and carried herself with a confidence born of conflict. Her dark hair was held in place by a military issue dress hat, and she wore no make-up or jewellery.

"President Robert," she said, leaning over a laptop, typing something into it, "before we begin, i have a message for you." She clicked the laptop again, and the data projector whirred loudly.

"The message is this Die, UN scum."

She hit the Enter key, and a panel on the back of the data projector flipped open on a folding hinge. The back of the projector was covered in a series of holes that looked like barrels of a gun. Without warning, the 'data projector' released its payload. An electronically controlled launch regulator fired off 300 rounds in less than a tenth of a second, pulses racing between the bullets stored in the projector.

In the blink of an eye, 300 9-mm rounds fired, all aimed straight at Robert.

"Rob " fell back bullet holes all over him bleeding dieing on the floor with his last breath he said .. You will be destoryed .. Rob then dises on the spot ware he was shot.

The PFM security guards rushed in as the shots fired, one hit by a richochet, and the others immediately open fire at Zagreb.

10-mm rounds riddle the body of the Colonel, and she falls to the floor, dead before her brain registers the first impact.

Just seconds before the gun shot, I felt warning bells ring off in my head...then the delegate said, "Die, UN scum!"
"Rob--!" I started, but the gun fired, and bullet holes appeared in Robert. "No!"
The secret service sprang into action, as soon as they heard the gun fire. I had my saber out.
"For your crime, PFM, you will pay!" I said, and lunged my lightsaber at the projector, to destroy it before it could fire again.

Good evening, I am Rachel Smith. It is my sad duty to inform you that President Robert Bastidias of The Fedral Union has been assassinated by a PFM official in CoreWorlds. So far there is no word from either the President Featherston or Vice President Blair. The Defense Minister has announced that an impromptu press conference will be held. Here is Defense Minister Williams.

"Citizens of Corneliu. I'm sure by know you have heard of the tragedy that President Bastidias was killed in cold blood by a PFM Official. We send out our deepest sympathies to his family and to the Citizens of The Fedral Union.

Fifteen minutes ago, I received a call from President Featherston. Before I get to this call, I like to have Vice President Blair say what needs to be said."

With that a murmer ran through the crowd as little seen Vice President Blair walked up to the podium.

"My fellow citizens. I just got off the line with President Featherston. On his behalf, I make the following announcement." Vice President Blair reached into his pocket and pulled out a sheet of paper. "This is in his own words. 'Members of the Press. No doubt you have been told of the recent events here in Coreworlds. I am saddened at the loss of a fine political leader at the hands of a PFM official. As of this moment, I hereby direct the Defense Minister to upgrade us to DEFCON3 and to bring the country to a war footing. Effective midnight tonight, we will be officially at war with PFM. I take this step with the utmost reluctness. We just fought not one but two wars. However, I will not stand by and watch an ally of Corneliu go down in dispare. Fedral Union is an Ally and as an ally we will assist them in whatever they need. May God go with our forces and may He Protect our nation.' That was a telegram sent from the Embassy of Corneliu in CoreWorlds from President Featherston. Thank you." Vice President Blair finished.

As he and Minister Williams left the press conference, members of the Press where clamering for questions. Minutes later, Corneliuan Military Planes began to take off and head off to the combat zone.

I sighed sadly. Another good friend dead. I recieved the response fromt eh PFM government, and crumpled the paper in the trash. Yeah, right. Robert was murdered in cold blood, and I was sitting next to him! They could have aimed for me. Which brings me to something else.
