AP REPORT: Prisoners Revolt Over Liquidation

23-01-2004, 09:11
MitsubishiSonyLockheed, the preeminent nation for incarceration outsourcing, experienced a prisoner revolt after a minor functionary ordered the execution of 5,000 transferees from the Serene Land of Bereza when it was discovered that the processing fee for the prisoner shipment was inside a prisoner in the form of a diamond. After word that the 5,000 prisoners were marched into the TD (Thermal Depolymerization) Plant and reduced into oil as well as the diamond in question.

Fearing that the same was to happen to them, three million recent transferees from the Austar Union staged an unarmed revolt which was quickly surpressed. 50,000 MSL citizens were killed in the fighting, as well as half a million of the Austar Union prisoners. Seeking to avoid any further prisoner problems, MSL had an emergency meeting of the Board of Directors announcing that from this moment onwards all prisoners would have their rights according to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as well they would no longer be subject to killing with impunity.

The Incorporated States of MitsubishiSonyLockheed has a population of 6 million people, with a prison population of 15,000,000. It also is a producer of oil, approximately 21,000 barrels/day, from the human waste processed in the TD plant. Due to the current crisis, it's oil reserves shot up by 55,500 barrels which MSL is selling on the open market.
