The Dominion of Xha'dam is in search of nano-tech from any nation capable of producing it and willing to sell it.

Any kind will do; weapons, cleaning agents, bugs, etc. So who's willing to make us an offer?

We are there.

NOTE: We are still interested in purchasing more advanced, or simply alternate, models. We want as wide a variety of nano-tech, though micro-tech will do, as possible so please continue to post offers here.

The scientist at the University of Afsania are currently going through the motions of the theoretical aspects of the development. The issue is, that we remain a reletivly under funded nation. The leap from theoretical to practical would require billions of fuseo's that we just do not have. We are currently looking for a finacial partner to suport this project.
Though we do not aprove of your use of re-education centers, we would be interested in setting up a multilateral coperation on nano-technology for non-militarial purposes. Deeper understanding on your purposes for this technology would need to be forth coming.

Our re-education centers are far from the stereotypical norm. Our idea of re-education is to take the inmates, and rather than have them sit behind bars all day doing nothing, or forced labor, we have them re-educated, meaning that since education didn't work the first time, we are trying it again. If they lack basic literacy, we teach them. If they lack work skills, we train them. Since all jobs are within the gov't we can easily find them work when they have completed re-education.

Mostly re-education is job training for whtever career paths we need workers for, which is normally research of some kind or another unless the inmate is much better suited for something else that they wish to pursue. Not to say we have trouble getting people into research, in fact just the opposite is true, however we place such a premium on knowledge that the number of research positions is enormouse, and as such, we are often in short suply o workers to fill them.

So you see, re-education in Xha'dam isn't really that bad. Does that answer your concerns?

I'm glad you asked about our purposes. We have many reasons for wanting to develope this technology. Much of it is simply knowledge. In Xha'dam we place a very large premium on knowledge of all sorts. We wish to learn as much as we possibly can.

As for the practical applications that we want to use it for, nano-machines have a wide range of applications. Constructions from a nano-scale would be much stronger and much more precise than anything we can do now. This would allow us to make incredibly compact computer chips with relative ease and great efficiency. Cleaning would also be a great use, with a large enough number of nano-machines you could quickly remove polutants from water at a molecular level without disturbing the body of water as a whole. The medical applications for nano-machines are nearly endless. They would be able to attack a virus, or bacteria, or cancer, or a blood clot, or almost anything on their level, one cell at a time, destroying the infection without harming the surrounding tissue. Sufficiently advanced nano-machines used as anti-bodies could effectively make a person immune to disease.

The thought of nano-weapons certainly had occured to us. However, they were deemed impractical by the Department of Defense. Other weapons already exist that can do what a nano-weapon could do, only they are cheaper and we already know they work.

Anyhow, Xha'dam would be willing to fund the University of Afsania's program in exchange for full access to the knowledge gained. All fruits of the project would be shared fully with both our nations. How much money are you asking for?

Personally I ignore Nano Technology, it's far-future-tech (which is the first reason I can't RP with it) and it's widely abused as a way to produce units stupidly fast and efficiently, effectively solving the logistical issues nations like mine has to deal with.

I think alot of other nations ignore it too, but I'm not complaining about this specific piece, just warning you that people like me will not recognise it as a valid technology claim.

It's cool as hell though...

OOC: Thank you for your feedback. Xha'dam is designed to be a future-tech nation however we agree with you about using nano-technology for godmoding like that is unacceptable.

However, we believe that with some levels of nano-technology in existance today, a nation somewhat more advanced than the US would be able to use nano-tech for some of the purposes such as the ones I mentioned. There has been talk in the medical community with recent advances in the field, that someday in the not too distant future we would be able to use nano-machines for medical purposes.

Since examples of such technology exist today, I do not believe it qualifies as far future tech unless you are trying to use them for something incredibly complex.

DGNT uses Nano-tech, our construction methods are usualy to build an object and 'weld' it with nanobots, who fuse together to form very strong bonds, they are also an effective (if slow) weapon, and a decent method of gather resources (If you want, say, %100 pure gold, just 'sift' it with Nbots, it takes a long time, but its usualy worth it). Nbots are also good for building small objects, like microchips, circuts or firing mechanisms, large objects are possible, but it takes too long, unless you have a very large and powerful computer capable of guiding a few quintillion bots at once, one such computer exists in DGNT, we use it to build our larger starships. But its only on one assembly line, so the production capacity isnt all that great a deal, mostly its just entertainment, watching mile long ships growing at a rate of about an inch a minute, it does provide an intersting cross-section.
Medical benifits of Nbots are also a DGNT specialty, though not all medical uses are for helping people, our NanoVirus can kill a person in a few days, slowly blocking their bloodflow and destroying organs.

Thank you for laying our concerns to rest. To the citizens of Afsania, freedom of thought is one of our fundimental rights.

I have been in consultation with the head scientist of the team, and he believes that a starting amount of 500 million Fuseos would be required to setup a reaserch facility and basic plant (based on plans already in place by our engeneers). This would suport a contingent of 20 scientists 50 lab technitions and enough suport staff to operate the facility. The program in then thought to cost aproximatly 150 million fuseo's per year to operate. The time frame i have been given is full working prototypes within the next 3 years. By that stage, a full scale manufactuing facility would have to be built.

We would share 100% of any plans and technologies developed. We would also welcome bilateral exchange of information. If it would suit you, we would welcome a representative from your governemtn to help oversee the construction of the facility. Once built, of the team of 20 head scientist, 5 are proposed to have been sent over from your country, if that is an acceptable number. It is negotiable, but must not exceed 50%.

We hope this is the start of many cooperative ventures beteen our two governments.

We are glad to have cleared that up. Though I know little of your nation, I can tell you that in that regard we are not unalike.

We of Xha'dam find this offer most acceptable and are ready to pay any expenses required to make this project work. We will send five of our greatest minds in this field to aid in the completion of this project and it is our greatest hope that the results will benefit us all.

May this project mark the beginning of a new age of cooperation and understanding between our peoples.

We graciously accept your invitation.

We will be sending Mr. Morden, Chief Diplomat of the Dominion of Xha'dam. Accompanying him will be two guards with their equipment. They will arrive in a modified Hermes-class transport plane. From there he will take the car in the back of the plane to a location of your choice.

Beyond that, no other security measures need to be taken as we are sure whatever police forces you have in your nation will be more than adequate for the job.

We look forward to getting to know your people better.

As a premier developer and user of nano-scale technology, the nation of Eniqcir would be happy to assist in your own development of such technologies. Although the possibility of futureshock syndromes prevents us from selling or giving away significant advances to nations just entering the nano-age, we can provide such basic technologies as laser-directed gas deposition lithography, magnetic molecular positioning devices, holographic resonance positioning devices, and protien-based self-assembly techniques. Completed products such as medical monitoring and microsurgery devices and diamond-substrate optical processors can be obtained through commercial entities such as LifeWorks Biotech and Paragon Systems, respectively.

*A Message from the Imperial University of Hajj to Xhadam*

Greetings on the behalf of science Xhadam,
Our government tells us you are having some problems acquiring your own nanotechnology? Well, today is your lucky day. For a price, IUH is willing to share certain findings and specifications with your top scientists. And for a bonus, some biomolecualr research will be included. I have included an excert from one of our scientific journals. "It seem that by using certain amino and peptid acids, along with various nucleotides and some pure elements, we have created nanomachines small enough to pass through the human heart! Though we are still in the planning stage, a medical machine is being developed right now, and the military is lobbying for us to share our findings also!"

Good- day sirs and madamns,
Dr. S Hercsli

OOC: I didn't see a posted price

*A reply is sent to Xhadam*

Depending on the certain tech(s) asked for will result in a total sum of Tenar, or some sort of trade could be set up(Suggested/Preferred).

*A message to Dr. S Hercsli from Minister Shiv'kala*

A trade? That can be arranged. Recently, Xha'dam purchased a great many nanomachines. We would be willing to trade one full, unprogrammed cube (100,000,000,000 machines) and all information regarding programming and reproducing said nanomachines that our scientists have gathered for the information you offer. We will be waiting for your reply.

IUH Has certain secret ways of producing it's machines and does not wish to acquire any from outside it's walls. It's machince are able to foul the human body into thinking it is actually an organic, and friendly, cell. Do you have any technology, away from that of nano, that you think we may find interesting?

:::NEWS FLASH:::

Today Mr. Morden, the chief diplomat for the Dominion of Xha'dam arived to participate in the ceremonies for the new Servian Sterisba Nanotechnology Reaserch and Development complex. The ceremony will take place tomorrow along with the anual Science Day holiday. The complex was named after Dr Servian Stersba for his contributions to the development of nanotechnology. Sadly he passed away in a car accident before he could see his dream of commercially viable nanotechnology come true.

The ceremony will be taking place at the site selected for the new complex, with Mr. Morden breaking the ground with Xenios Fenerio, our minister for advanced technology. The ceremony will conclude with a black tie gala diner, with atendies from all all walks of science, the government and the arts, including Toroca Delva, the president of Afsania.

OOC: I figured since this is on your soil you would start the ceremonies and I would put a speech in there somewhere and then you would finish the ceremony.

IC: The day had finally arrived where ground would be broken on the new facility. Mr. Morden, punctual as ever, arrived at the designated time at the location of thenew building. He had immesnely enjoyed the hospitallity of Afsania but was looking forward to returning to his own house. One of his guards got out of the car, followed immediately by Mr. Morden himself. He smiled and thought to himself that all the hard work on both sides was about to pay off, something he had been waiting for for a long time.

ooc: sounds good to me...

IC: The delegates, Mr. Morden, Xenios Fenerio and a crowd of some 60 invided guests arived at the location just outside Afsania City. Xenios was excited to see this porject finaly come to frutition. it had been a long road on both sides, but finaly we were getting underway.

As per usual, there was a nice little podium for people to make speeches. As host he was to go first. "Welcome ladies and gentlemen, Mr Morden and all our destiquished guests. Today we are not only celebrating Science Day, the day set asside to honer our great scientist and the work that they do for our country and the human race, but we celebrate the joining of two countries. Today we mark a significant step along the road of friendship beween Afsania and Xhadam. This is hopfully the first of many projects between our two great nations. It will mean technology that has been only dreamt about can come to fruition. It will mean lives are saved, and it will mean that society and human kind are better of because of it. I now give you the Honerable Mr. Morden."

He now is gesturing for Mr. Morden to take the stage and make a speech.

Mr. Morden took the stage, his ever present smile shown broadly on his face.

"Thank you. Thank you all for being here on this momentus day day. Before I get started lets have a round of applause for Mr. Xenios."

He waited for the clapping to die down before continuing.

"Today marks over three years hard work for both our peoples coming to culmination. Today marks a great scientific and technological achievement that is going to revolutionize the world around us. And today marks the completion of the first stretch of an endless road of friendship and cooperation between our two nations of Xha'dam and Afsania. For the first time our two nations worked together and we have accomplished great things. Our air and water will be cleaner. Our medical procedures will be cheaper, less invasive, and more effective. Our buildings will be stronger and our lives will be better. We owe all of this to the research team who made this all possible. Let's give them a hand."

As the clapping stopped he went on.

"Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the spirit of cooperation our two nations have forged will pave the way to a better future for us all. With this project, our two nations have demonstated that with cooperation and friendship great things can be achieved. It is our hope that this project will mark a starting point for a long and prosperous relationship between Afsania and Xha'dam. Thank you."

Mr. Morden stepped away from the podium, gesturing to Mr. Fenerio to announce the comencement of the ceremony.

Mr. Fenerio re takes the podium.

"Please another round of aplause for Mr. Morden."

He waits for the the clapping to die down...

"It is now time for us to both break the soil on this site. This is were the new complex will take place. The award winning design will be an example of a clean, environmentaly friendly high technology center of business and develpoment. It will stand as a testiment of what can be achieved when two nations put their top minds to a task. I now invite Mr. Morden to take a spade and dig the first sod of soil from the site."

Two beautiful young ladies offer the gleaming platium coated spades to each of the delegates. They then move down to a patch of grass in a clearing. With cameras from the media flashing they pose for a shot of removing a spade full of soil, Mr. Morden on the left, Mr. Fenerio on the right. They then shake hands for another round of aplause and photos.

Mr. Fenerio they says:

"I now officialy name this develpoment the Servian Sterisba Nanotechnology Reaserch and Development Complex."

There is a period of aplause from the crowd accompnied by camera flashes.

"This concludes the ceremonies for today, you are all caudily invited to a gala dinner at the Afsanian Intercontinental Hotel tonight."

As the crowd starts to disperse, Mr. Fenerio and Mr. Morden have a quite word to each other.

Mr. Fenerio says to Mr. Morden after a bit of small talk...

"You will join us tonight for the diner won't you? I'd like to introduce you to my Wife."
