Ultimatum to Yuki Fuki-san

Vivalutsk
22-01-2004, 14:36
*newsflash* Having gathered information on the whereabouts of spies in the Daviestan and Vivalutsk area disguised as grocers and other forms of shopkeeper, the two nations have begun an effective cleansing of the region of Prussia. Yuki Fuki-san's dictator has been shown giving a formal broadcast to Daviestan, informing them of the agents posted in their country and all others in Prussia. His Grace the Primus inter Pares of Daviestan sent word to Vivalutsk, and they are now sending a joint ultimatum must either turn over all its operatives, or face forcible closure. He has 24 hours to submit an answer.

What?? Its not me this time! In fact, its only ever been me once! And I was preparing to defend an oppressed country, I just arrived a bit late...

Check the topic "Righteousness". I sent a diplomat to help resolve problems in Zvaringrad concerning outof control police and unknown terrorists, and Yuki-Fuki turns up trying to kill the diplomat and one of the nation's officials, then says he's infiltrated our whole region with his agents! You can hardly blame me for feeling a bit miffed with him!

Its true. Yuki fuki is threatening Prussia with his secret police and his agents, and we need to prevent him from this. Anyway, who are you Rotovia, and what purpose do you serve in this place?

*Newsflash* In a covert operation tonight in the south of the capital, police discovered several spies suspected of being in league with Yuki Fuki-san. The police have stated that the three men are being detained for further questioning, and should they be found guilty they will be executed tomorrow. From 6:00 tomorrow morning Vivalutsk will be at war with Yuki Fuki-san, and all spies will be dealt with in the same way.

President Carmen Montello was in the Board Room of Black Prussia's Assembly Room in front of a white Projector Screen which has just finished playing Vivalutsk's Broadcast.

Montello: Lights please.
Government Official: Yes Madam.

The lights are switched on and there is a buzz of alarmed chatter in the room as what they have seen is taken in.

Montello: Quiet, quiet! There is no need to panic that doesn't help anyone...So ladies and gentleman you now know why I have called you here, it seems this great Region of ours is on the verge of war and though we are a peaceful Nation I fear this war will had bad reprecussions on Black Prussia. I felt we couldn't sit idly by so Phil?

Phillip Jackson Head of Intelligence Services stood shuffling several documents in his hand.

Jackson: Yes Madam President?
Montello: Please tell us what you found in your stakeout of Black City.

Black City was Black Prussia's Capital, which has a vast Underworld Network. Police were around but easily 'influenced'

Jackson: We've staked out the Fruit and Veg stalls for a few days now and yeah there were a few Yuki-fuki Nationals posing as Grocers handing out PropaGanda with customer's daily purchases. They didn't appear to have the proper Immigration Paperwork but as you know we don't have strict laws and they were slipping something in the Cops' hats if you know what I mean.

Foreign Minister Charlie Harris chimes in.

Harris: Is this Propaganda dangerous? If our UN Delegate feels the need to act it makes me wonder?

Montello: Me too but we still don't know enough to form a positon yet? I move to speak further with Vivalutsk on the matter.

Harris: Agreed but what do we tell the people.

Montello: For now to keep cool heads in the meantime I want you to ask for more detailed Intelligence from Vivastuk maybe even a meeting with their leader. You are dismissed.

They leave talking worriedly.

To: Vivalutsk Foreign Office
From: Charles Harris-Foreign Minister of Black Prussia
Subject: Yuki-Fuki-San

Dear Vivalutsk, we in Black Prussia are concerned about the impending war in our Region and are suspicious of spies in our country. We request further information about your reasons for war and a possible face to face meeting between our leaders. We would ensure you safe passage here of course.

To: Charles Harris, Foreign Minister for Black Prussia
From: Samuel Johnson, Foreign Minister for Vivalutsk
Subject: Impending War

Message to Black Prussia: At present there is no need for alarm. Yuki Fuki-san is outnumbered and the possibility of him coming to our terms is still there. We have offered this ultimatum as he has claimed to have agents operating unlawfully in every country of the region, and he must either turn them over to us or face invasion and the confiscation of his lands. We have heard of the capture of several spies in your own capital, and would advise you to keep them alive until war breaks out in case he submits to the terms. It would be very useful for us to meet, and I would be happy to see you at some point in the next few days.

Yours,
Charles Harris, Foreign Minister for Vivalutsk

The sleet was falling even more heavily than before, as the regiments of Vivalutsk marched to the military grade helicopters waiting to transport them to Yuki Fuki-san.
The road to the airfield was in disrepair; muddy and uneven so that many soldiers slipped and fell as they marched, only to be dragged back into line by the waiting NCOs.

Captain Hans Jansch watched as his company made their slow and irregular way to the airfield. It was just so bloody typical that they should have such vile weather after the indian summer they had had before, just when they were getting prepared to invade! And the roads didn't help either...the glorious leader, Lord Charles Stefano, had perfected the lands south of the capital, with some of the best roads and services this part of the region could offer, but the roads to the north of the capital still had much to be desired.

As the troops reached the tarmac of the airfield, the shambles which had been shown before in the slick mud of the roads turned to precisioned drill, marching in a column 10 men across towards the front of the neares three barracks.

The Regimental Sergeant Major detached himself from the column and marched to the colonel. A few whispered words and the sergeant major turned. "Column, Halt! Right Face!"

As the Commander of the Army came out, all along the line of men came cries of "General Salute!"

Hans Jansch closed his eyes. The general was a stickler for perfection, on and off the battlefield, and he knew that he would not tolerate the state his troops were in from the march. They were in for the thrashing of a lifetime.

You dare try to rally against my Federation, and accuse US of lawbreaking? New YFS Coroporation CONTROLS the law. And grocers. The biggest and most blatant insult is you meddling fools daring to claim that I might "come to your terms"? Damn your terms, and to the depths of Hell with you snivelling policies and pro-terrorist quibblings. The time for debate and discussion is over. YFS will procure order over Prussia, and henceforth condition is to be a collective subject nation in our vast Colonies. There is no hope for allegiance against Us. Remember, We the Faction are in charge of the food you eat, the clothes you wear and the..chickens you farm. This is YOUR ultimatum, subject servants of New YFS. Come to OUR terms.
Federation out.

Federation out? a small amount of dramatic irony there; how about Federation out...of Prussia?

IC:

"Thorwald, what is the damage?"

"Several members of the General Assembally have been charged. A few low-ranking clergy, too, but YFS' agents hadnt reached the Higher ranks before we were warned. You'd better keep close control your Grace, the Inquisition is NOT happy"

"You forget yourself. The Inquisition works for me. WE will allow them their..fun...when the time comes. In the meantime they can content themselves with sermons, thats what they're good at. Well, begin the mustering of forces. Establish agencies in every country that may have been infiltrated, with the government's permission where possible. We must exterminate every last agent of this madman. The people can only be freed once every last trace of his government is gone"

"Very good, your Grace"

"The new tanks have been delivered from Soviet Bloc sir, and the tank commanders await your orders."

General Driretlan: "Excellent! I have not yet had time to see them for myself, but I think I shall inspect them now."

They marched over to the hangar which contained the five new ST-11 next generation battle tanks. The Soviet Bloc engineers had done an incredibly fast job and the tanks, having been checked for faults, were all clear to go.

This was just as well, as the most recent news from Command HQ was that far from coming to some sort of peaceable arrangement, Yuki Fuki-san was preparing for war.

"General, orders have come through. This matter is Temporal in nature and thus it is in the domain of Lay military forces. You have been given a mandate to prepare your forces"

"right-o what-what" came the inspired response "where are those superhyperubertanks I asked to be built?"

"they dont actually exist, sir"

"bally annoying. Darn shame too, I shouldnt wonder"

"No sir, you shouldn't"

"What?"

"Nothing sir. I merely pointed out that you should bemoan lack of enthusiasm of our scientists when it comes to creating the impossible after you've signe to allow everyone else to get on with their jobs. That is you're prime function"

"And only function, what? Haha, old boy, bring me my crumpet, ho! Where's this blighted bit of paper then? Hmmm, well there you go. Now leave me to my midafternoon apperatif."

The major left the room with a sigh, closed the door to the padded cell and walked off. No, it had to be said, Daviestan's military mobilisation failsafe was flawless.

The speaker crackled "One hour to mobilisation, one hour to mobilisation, prepare for inspection - out."

The troops lined up in front of the barracks houses on the edge of the airfield, standing rank upon rank, regiment by regiment, five hundred thousand men in all. In front stood a platform upon which stood several officials in dark grey uniforms, and the Commander.

General Driretlan raised his head and spoke into the microphone;

"Men of Vivalutsk! Today is a black day! But not for us...for the people of Yuki Fuki-san. You are the best troops the motherland has to offer, and with our allies, the men of Daviestan, we shall purge away the filth from Prussia and start anew! The nations of this region shall be at peace, and war will no longer taint Prussias soils. But for now, let us fight, let us show what we are made of!"

The men broke out into wild cheering as the speech came to an end, and General Driretlan turned to the officials, "Send word to the other commanders to mobilise their forces. To those contingents whos commanders have been detained, send word to the Colonel Primarius to take the lead."

The general turned back to the roaring troops, " Now lads, up and at 'em!"
23-01-2004, 17:22
A raucous cheering could be heard from the Shadostan/Vivalutsk border, and the patrol troops radioed in.
"Sir, we have activity on the border. Seems Vivalutsk is arming for war. Over"
A crackled respose came almost immediately. "We have pulled back our men from Western Navascuez for their immediate deployment. They will be airlifted to your position in T-15 minutes. Stand by. Over and out."

Shado was stressed. After the massacre of many of his men in Western Navascuez, he was now having to deal with spies in his own country... Shado shook his head in despair. What was the world coming to, when your neighbours were willing to betray you? Where was the honour in that?!
He turned back to the screen behind him. The still image of the Vivalutsk foreign minister talking about the problems of Yuki-fuki san spies all over Prussia worried him, even with no sound. He called his aide.
"Get me Samuel Johnson on the line. Tell him it's urgent."
Vivalutsk
23-01-2004, 22:22
Samuel Johnson sat at his desk in the foreign office of Vivalutsk. He had been up all night thinking over the situation in Prussia, and especially in Yuki Fuki-san. Their leader's decision had deeply worried him, and the order to go to war had just been given to the troops of Vivalutsk.

A telephone rang deep inside the building, and a young lieutenant ran up to him.

"Sir, General Driretlan has sent word that the men are mobilised and should reach the YFS border in two hours."

"Thank you lieutenant, now send word to Daviestan and Black Prussia of this news, and tell them we will meet them there."

"Yes, sir."

The foreign minister sorted through some more paperwork; he had spoken to the Defence Secretary Robert Carmichael on the subject of the new artillery purchased - the money had been paid to Russian Bloc from the dictator's own pocket, so they were happy, and the tanks were proving excellent in every test put to them.

Another phone rang, and the lieutenant breathlessly reported in,

"Sir, Lord Shado of Shadostan is on the line - he says that it is urgent!"

"Everything's urgent at the moment. Alright, put him on the line. Dismissed."

The foreign secretary picked up the phone, "Samuel Johnson Here..."

Pfft. Yuki's an amateur. Did he really expect his robotic spies could be passed off as Blort civillians? I mean-at 12noon everyone stops what they are doing and recite an ode to me they have written during their 15 minute break from whatever they do,-so it draws attention when a metallic voice suddenly shouts "HAIL YUKI AND THE NEW ORDER!!!". Honestly!

*Message to all nations, especially the YFS*
His Imperial Majesty cares not for Yuki-Fuki. I would position spies in all my neighbouring nations...If I actually cared what they got up to :)
I have a large military, orbital weapons platforms (project 'HALO') and world-class special forces. I pity the fool who would try and invade my glorious nation  .
However if anyone wants to try it-feel free, my troops could do with some target practice, plus we need to check if the guidance systems on my fully armed and operational battlstation (HALO1) are working correctly. I mean ok-most of your nation would be turned into a nuclear wasteland, but hey I'm sure the 'decaying mutant' look will become the height of fashion! I mean it's already a huge hit in Daviestan!

1 small problem; you dont HAVE a glorious nation.

Oh yea of little imagination. Well, I wasa under the impression we were sticking to modern technology, but have it your way. I will respond in kind.
No war has been declared, so i would advise you not to attack as if you do, I wil cream you.

Best wishes

26-01-2004, 14:14
1. You wouldn't cream me. Ihave a larger nation with a better military and a much better economy
2. The option for building said orbital weapons came up as an issue-I took advantage of it and have had the issue twice.
3. I'm not going to invade your nation-unless you attempt to attack mine. I am not being agrerssive, on the contrary I'm being defensive-its just a friendly warning to any war-mongeres out there-attack me and get nuked. George Bush would be proud..... :D

in answer to your post:

1) No. No you dont. The difference being I have allies
2) Me too. So?
3) I'm not threatening your country. Yet. Explain to me what

"the 'decaying mutant' look will become the height of fashion! I mean it's already a huge hit in Daviestan!"

means, if not that you're poisoning my nation? Sounds like an act of war to me...
26-01-2004, 15:18
"Hello, Johnson? This is Lord Shado. I hear your troops are mobilising. Please explain." Shado sat in silence for a minute or two, while his aide twiddled her thumbs nervously. "I see. We will mobilise and march beside you. Yuki-fuki San must be stopped at all costs. That is my official stance. Good day." Shado placed the phone on the table, and leant across it towards his aide. "Get me Uriron Silentdive. We'll need a good general here."

At that moment a military Sergeant ran in through the door. Shado's normally motionless personal guard swung their M-16s towards him, but Shado held up his hand.

"Forgive my intrusion, Lord Shado," The man puffed, out of breath, "But we have just lost contact with General Silentdive and his unit sir. They were left behind in the evacuation of Western Navascuez, and his life monitor just went out."

"How many men are left there?" Shado looked at the Sergeant, his eyes boring holes into the terrified man's skull.

"F-f-fifteen, s-sir."

"I see. Then you will lead the army to the Vivalutsk border. Choppers are waiting. Mobilise the troops and get out there. Good luck."
Shado turned away from the Sergeant, who, confused, took his leave.

"Forgive me for speaking out of turn, but I don't understand, sir." His aide spoke up. She was trembling visibly, as if awaiting a long, painful execution. "Why should he lead the army?"

"Because, my dear, he was the one brave enough to speak with me face to face." Shado smiled, and returned to his seat, sweeping his black cape behind him. He smiled briefly, then said, "Get me Daviestan on the line. They should like this one..."

Daviestan, you seem to forget that my 1. point is correct, and that I have allies too. So point 1. still stands.
Point 3. 'decaying mutant look' is just a dig at your ugly citizens-I haven't been poisening them.

OOC: At the risk of sounding immature... HE STARTED IT

IC: Orman was in a good mood. His handling of the Rotovian siutuation had gained him promotion...he was now a High Inquisitor. Not only that, he ha been immediately put on the YFS case as Shadostanian contact. As he sorted throught the casenotes, the phone rang

"High Inquisitor Orman Streilicht here" he answered with a touch of pride, "who is this"

"This is Lord Shado. I must talk with the Primus inter Pares concerning Vivalutsk."

"Your Lordship, I have been assigned to..."

"Immediately"

Deflated, Orman acquiesced and hit a number on his phone. There was a pause, then a second voice spoke down the phoneline.

"That will be all, Inquisitor. return to your reports. You will be dispatched shortly. Now, Shado, what is it you wished to talk about?"
28-01-2004, 15:35
OOC: You took the risk, and yes, it did sound childish.

IC: "Greetings Primus inter Pares. I call on urgent business."

"Dispatch with the formalities, Shado, just tell me why you're calling." The Primus inter Pares was getting impatient.

"Of course. Vivalutsk has been sighted gathering troops and vehicles near our border and has stated that they are to launch an offensive against YFS. I am calling to ask if you will be joining us for this party." (OOC:  )
