TERNOPIL, FERRUSSIA (UFP) - After several years of arduous advanced research, a suitable site for a nuclear waste disposal plant has been establihsed near the city of Ternopil. Government officials hope that the site will be able to serve as a safe and effective site for the disposal of hazardous nuclear waste products.
The site was finally given the "OK" after several final simulations indicated minimal waste leakage in almost every scenario, and incredibly limited effects should any leakage occur. Officials noted that the site, unofficially named the "Carpathia Radioactive Waste Storage Facility", will be the disposal plant for all nuclear waste in Ferrussia unless another facility is built.
Officials refused to answer whether the massive facility would accept waste from foreign nations. It was alluded to that this may be possible, but they commented that there was "nothing concrete" at the moment.
The site is expected to open within a few years.
