At 3 o clock yesterday afternoon the Irish-Germanic states initiated a nucler strike against the United socilist states of veil der betriebtsmitt. The United Socialist States Of Veil Der Betriebtsmitt attack a military base, and you attack a civilian target with massive force, and kill thousands of innocent people? I insist... no, I DEMAND that you issue an apology, and begin to repair their capitol, minus the cost of the damage done to you by their chemical attack.

This is nothing short of terrorism! I agree with the South Islands. An apology and reparations must be issued.
OOC: Link to their chemical attack?
IC:
The Confederated Republic of Eredron condemns this nuclear strike against a civilian target. The military leadership of Irish-Germanic States stand guilty of crimes against humanity; Eredron urges the international community not to let this war crime go without consequence.
Eredron's strategic forces are being raised to high alert in direct response to this nuclear strike.

Nuevo Kowloon would like to congratulate both parties on the accuracy of their weapons, and the Irish-Germanic states in particular for their choice of Thermonuclear Weapons as a response to a gas attack.
We would also like to point out that the Radiatioactive fallout from the aforementioned nuking is currently drifting towards us, and while we believe in sharing, we would like to know just what in the hell you suppose our response (Not to mention the responses of our other, less reasonable, neighbours) should be to this?
An eye for an eye, but not a whole head for an eye! Horizon Island condems the use of nukes in this attack.

Aust condemms this attack and if irish-germatic states does not apologise then Aust will have a tactical nuclear strike upon Irish-Germatic states. These strikes will be upon only millatary targits and I am sure I have far more nuclear capability than you.

Procced to the nearist nuclear bunker this is not a drill. A hostile force may attack Aust with nuclear force

At the same time 300 nuclear missiles raised themselves out of the ground. Airforces prepare to attack, out at sea battleships prepare to fire cruise missiles.

OOC: well... I was actually imagining a SecState whose main qualification for the post was training Coast Guard Officer-Candidates for twenty-eight years. So, Yeah, Sarcasm.

The Irish-Germanic states would like to apologize for this misteep albiet a large one. As of a day before the strike a military coup d'etet had taken place. The radical military forces under the now dead General Nicolas had secerectly begun to assult the USSVDB. The USSVDB which is a breakaway republic responded in the way that best suited their precarius posistion. Meanwhile the desposed federal goverment was begining to fight the counter coup. But it was to late...the General's forces used the nuclear arsenal in response to the chemical attack on their forces.
The solution
With the federal goverment back in power the CIGS will do the following. Firstly all military units involved in the coup have been dispanded indefinatly.
Secondly imediate measures will be put in place to give humanitarian aid to the USSVDB.
Other measures
Abandon the "dead zone" created by the nuclear missile strike
Re-incorperate the USSVDB into the CIGS
Do the best we can to stop the spread of fallout throughout our region and to provide medical care to the victims of radiation sickness and flash burns.
Finally the CIGS is deeply humbled by this stunning course of events. We express deep regret to the families who have lost, but we hope that this vile and ihuman act will never happen again and that the federal goverment under rex ceaser will not be held accountable for the actions of general nicolas
