Bigtopia City, Upper Bigtopia - 0800 hours
The United Bigtopian Freedom Fighters (UBFF) weren't active for a long time. Nanakaland was gradually giving the Bigtopians more and more freedom. After all, Nanakaland had more important issues to handle and colonies just complicated things. Nanakaland was spending more attention on its moon colony. In fact, just next Thursday, Nanakaland was to step out of Upper and Lower Bigtopia. However, there were problems. The UBFF was scheming a way to get all colonial powers to leave Bigtopia and never come back.

Bigtopia City was bustling at rush hour. In the middle of two of the busiest intersections, when traffic clogged the streets, a cocktail of various nerve gasses were released from the sewers. The gas leaked up, killing hundreds, if not thousands, of civilians. By the time police and military got there, the culprits were long gone. It was suspected that the chemical weapons were stolen from a Nanakaland fort.

Fort Bigtopia, Upper Bigtopia - 0830 hours
The terrorist attack set off commotion in the recently rebuilt Fort Bigtopia. All Nanakaland troops were put on high alert. That didn't stop a hijacked cargo plane full of gasoline to crash straight into the fort, killing most of the area's garrison and totalling the fort.

By the time police and military reached the fort to investigate, they didn't notice that explosives, VX, and sarin were missing from the fort. However, it didn't take police long to realize that the UBFF terrorist group was active again.

Burgston City, Lower Bigtopia - 1800 hours
A nuclear power plant near the city had a melt down, in the middle of the afternoon. A simultaneous attack at all major intersections of the city with the stolen nerve gasses was launched. Nearby NMS occupation bases were attacked with simultaneous explosions. Casualties were also heavy. It was soon obvious that at all the time they were inactive, they were planning assaults.

Nanakapolis, Nanakaland - 2000 hours
The terrorists had the civilian planes hijacked. They were going to ram both planes into Government Castle and Fort Nanaka (near each other) to cripple Nanakaland in one blow. They almost pulled it off, but air marshals on the flight captured them. The terrorists were taken to Fort Nanaka to be interragated, but the air marshals might as well have interragated the wall. With all of the attacks around Bigtopia and the world, it became obvious that the UBFF was back and was more powerful than ever before!

Alright. Now that NMS is back, I'll do the RP.

The NMS government had just re-established himself. Executor Constantine Dragses had emerged as the major power and had been given the sword of Frog (formal coronation ceremony), but could he restore the empire to it's former glory?

A few days after his coronation, he recieved reports that Nanakaland was pulling out and that the UBFF had seized the chance to grab control of all Bigtopia. He cursed. His hold on power was too weak to permit him to leave the mainland at all, much less go on campaign.

Vyachislav Breznev was a former rival of Constantine's for the sword of Frog, and still commanded loyality from his base in New Antioch. He had cheerfully submitted before him before the altar during the coronation, but could he be trusted with such a vital command?

His military abilities were not in question - Constantine considered himself lucky to have only lost 15,000 men at St-Bernard-Lacolle when he had fought Breznev - but would the temptation of empire in Bigtopia not prove too much?

He sighed. No use prevaricating about the bush. He gave the orders for the 5th Varangian Division to be loaded onto transports and sent off the Bigtopia along with the 3rd fleet. The lower commanders and the admiral of the fleet were both loyal to him, and him alone. Antoine Belanger, the admiral, had been his roomate during his days at the old Frog's Academy.

The Incorporated States of Exonerate offers its condolences to Nanakaland for this horrendous attack, and throws all its support behind Nanakaland. If they should require extra security, we would be happy to provide.

M&M News: Horrified by the devastating terrorist attacks on Bigtopia, the President immediately pledged support to the Bigtopian government and, as a gesture of goodwill, sent 2 of our nations elite Special Operations Emergency Relief Squads (SOERS) to assist affected civilians. These, as you will recall, are the best and brightest paramedics of our nation, guarded by the elite commandoes of our Marine force, and with their new IBDS's, they will be able to find the hottest spots in the affected regions and save countless lives. And as their C-240 transports speed off, they take the hearts of our nation with them...

***a days later, Belanger and Breznev are on board the NMSS Indispensable, the flagship for the latest Bigtopia expedition***

Belanager examines his maps, and points out the old landings where the first battles for Bigtopia had occured.

"Port St. William is still a bastion of loyalists," stated Belanger. "I will land your troops and bomb the rebel airfields outside of the city into oblivion. With luck we'll have pacified the Etang-des-Anges within days. The port is impossible to take except by surprise or by protracted seige and blockade."

"Bomb it all," said Breznev. "Bomb it to hell and move on."

Belanger suspected that rescuing half a million people loyal to Constantine Dragses was not Breznev's idea of "liberation". For days the general had been advocating assaulting Wasboro or Ville-des-Etoiles farther north, both regions that had briefly allied themselves with him until they fell to the UBFF steamroller.

Belanger had had enough. He pulled out a set of secret orders from Dragses indicating just how Bigtopia should be retaken. He pointed out that the Etang-des-Anges was to be taken first.

Breznev spat at the admiral's feet and stormed out. Belanger signaled to the men-at-arms that the insolent, insubordinate and possibly treasonous general should be arrested and confined aboard the NMSS Fair Eye, a destroyer that was part of the fleet.

The admiral stewed for 3 days in his cabin, trying to figure out just how to command the delicate manueuvers that were required to storm Port St. William. Upon his emergence, a young midshipman rushed up to him, informing him that Bigtopia had been sighted and that the General had managed to flee on a speedboat and that the much-vaunted Kite-Stringson-Fyre helicopters had all suffered one or another mechanical defect whilst attempting to run down the traitor.

"D*** low bidders!" exclaimed the admiral. He then set about preparing his plans. He was confident that right now Breznev was more concerned about saving his hide than hinding the admiral's plans.

The SOERS units arrive in Bigtopia City and Burgston City and promptly set out down main streets, quickly making their way to the affected areas. Using consenting citizens' homes and shops as headquarters, they rapidly begin moving amongst the hurt, treating for the chemical agents released as well as injuries from explosions and the inevitable chaos that follows such attacks. Meanwhile, a young radio operator in the First SOER Squad is talking with the head of the major hospital in Bigtopia City, discussing ways in which to coordinate efforts and trading techniques that prove more effective on the victims. Met with such widespread support, the teams made amazing progress, having all major cases treated and the majority of minor ones by the second day. only 3 people died, all of overexposure to Sarin. all three had been in the sewer system of Bigtopia City when the attacks started, and died long before anyone even knew they were missing. Funerals for these poor souls are scheduled for next week.
